"From Crystal? Oh yeah, I'm fine. It's not my first time being punched through a structure and to be honest it wasn't all that sturdy..." Darts rasps, catching on to the fact that he might not be in all that much trouble. "And while I'll say I may have provoked her slightly, I did my best to pull it away from the townsfolk when I had a chance. Didn't want to ruin their festival. Not going to apologize, you know me, but I wasn't going to sink our little soiree if I could help it." The Giratina hybrid pauses, gathering the other half of Sub's silent question from the fact he's covered quite a bit of his own blood. "This," He indicates his beaten down form. "Wasn't from Crystal. Although...." his tone lightens a little, eyes widening slightly with realization. "What I have here," He hefts the Master Ball, holding it for Sub's inspection. "Might do more than ruin the festival. I caught... well, more like she agreed to come with me for the time being..." A hesitation, hoping the girl inside the ball would forgive him for the sake of explanation. "The Ogre. Ogerpon."

Sub would roll his eyes at Darts' comment and his lack of commitment to an apology, not that he expected such a thing out of him. "I should have known you were doing some button pushing..." He muttered softly to himself, not surprised in the least. The man would c**k an eyebrow at Darts as the Giratina hybrid pointed out the bulk of his wound were not from the galactic cat known as Crystal but instead from another. What around here, besides the aforementioned cat and the psychic bird, could harm Darts to such a degree? He would get an answer to that question as Darts conjured up a Master Ball, his stomach sinking before he even commented on what was inside, the image of the Master Ball enough.

"You caught...the ogre?" He repeated, in disbelief as he reached out and took the Master Ball, examining it closely with his eyes. It's not like he could see the Pokemon inside but he had no reason to not believe the hybrid, Darts wouldn't joke about something like this. "GRAY...?" He called out to the AI listening to all this through his SNAG.

"I can confirm there is a powerful Grass based energy being exuded from the Master Ball, on par with the energy signatures of Legendary Pokemon." GRAY announced.

"So it's a Grass type..." He said to himself, giving the ball one last look before handing it back over to Darts. "How? Why?" The man asked as he handed the ball back, staring at Darts in confusion. Maybe it was all the sake he drank but he was having difficulty piecing together how Darts came upon and captured the fabled ogre. "And it just came along with you? The dreaded ogre? The demon of Oni Mountain? The monster this entire town lives in fear? The town that celebrates its fabled defeat? And it just decided to go with you?"

“Yea, Sub’s having to play damage control, and wasn’t too thrilled when he got off the dance floor I found him at. Probably thought something wasn’t going to go wrong for a change.” Freth said to Crystal, crossing her arms under her crossed over wings. “He’s already on the way to Darts as well, probably to get his side of things then send him off to the headquarters, which is where Sub wants me to tell you to go, too, before things get heated around here between you, Darts, and the locals. Sub and I noticed what we’re assuming are the local authorities around here coming in just as went to find you two.”Crystal grumbled, laying her ears flat. Great. Of course. Why didn't she realize that it would escalate like that? She went to pinch the bridge of her nose, stopping when she started hearing the tiniest of cracks on the glass. "Right. Great. Greeeeeaaaat. Good to know I ruined his vacation. Among other things." The hybrid would shake her head as she made herself a lightboard; simple, square, and just long enough to fit her sitting down. She'd pull her shawl, skirt, and backpack onto her lap when she sat down, then sighed again. "Understood. I'll wait for another chewing out back at HQ." With that, she'd take off, waiting until she was a little bit ways away from Freth before hitting full speed, not terribly caring at this point if the people saw it. They already knew that she was a hybrid of some sort at this point.

[Loyal Three Battle Tribute]

Amaranth might've had a moment where she was grateful as the crowd took things in stride, cheering and laughing as the battle continued. But she could hear the remarks too poking fun at the antics that had happened so far between Demon Wing and Gimmighoul. She would've been ready to keep taking it in stride too if it wasn't for the actual fighting between Crystal and Darts, going quiet herself. There definitely wasn't anything she could say that might disarm things or help, what could she even with the context she had? The idea that Crystal was over 500 years old or there were multiple realities with multiple Teams Snagem was nigh impossible for her to comprehend, and she found herself stepping back subconsciously when she heard some clicking sound and saw a glow from her eyes. She needed to speak up, before this fully came to blows.

"Hey, c-can we try to talk this out better after the-" It was too late, Crystal's fist had gone into Darts' gut and the Giratina hybrid was sent flying out of the arena and through a candy apple booth, lamenting the waste of candied food. But the anger was as palpable as the damage was visible, and she didn't dare try to rush after either of them given her far less sturdy body compared to hybrids like them. It was barely a solace that it didn't devolve into more of a brawl, seeing Darts storm off in the distance and uproot an entire tree with ease with a push, let alone the old man that was tossed aside. Barely a moment later saw Crystal's immediate remorse over the display, her knocked out Charizard recalled with a quiet apology before she too had left in a huff too.

Murmurs about the whole thing and remarks about being duped by a hybrid- some disparaging and acting justified in hints of disdain- painted the aftermath of what should've been a neat tribute match. A moment to have some fun, exhibit a little teamwork, and make some locals happy for a night. Instead, she was left questioning if she needed to cut classes short for a while and make sure things weren't falling apart in HQ. Everything had seemed fine up to now, but maybe it wasn't going quite so smoothly. She sighed and hung her head, arm raised and ready to just recall Gale. Embrassed heavily by association, all she wanted to do was apologize about her friends and go back to the community center. But before she managed to do any of that, she'd catch a glimpse of the confused Grimmsnarl when she looked up and stopped herself. They certainly didn't deserve any of this, the most they'd done wrong was maybe make some children cry and even that was clearly an act from a role they enjoyed performing. A weak smile came as her arm lowered, wanting to at least make things right by them and the crowd if she couldn't offer the same to anyone else right now.

"Hey," she spoke up quietly, towards Grimmsnarl. "Let's finish giving them a show, yeah?"

Pocketing the ball, she'd walk to her Pidgeot and give her a gentle pet. "You too, Gale. There's still us, so this battle's not over quite yet." Stepping aside, she'd point skyward, trying to get things back on track. "Use Round, like we've practiced!"

Gale wouldn't move from her spot, wings spread as she recalled what she'd learned from one of the TMs given some time ago in the academy. Melodic chirping would fill the air as she broke into song, a hint of quiet determination mingling in an otherwise odd choice for an attack. But it seemed fitting for a tribute like this, especially with the earlier drums beating and all.

The saddened Grimmsnarl would perk up as Amaranth called out to it, the performing Pokemon smiling and giving Amaranth a thankful nod as it understood her. It would quickly shift its outward expression back to that one of one of the 'evil ogre', now again angry and menacing. It was an actor after all and the show must go on.

With its newfound resolve the Grass type Grimmsnarl would let out a pained wale as the Pidgeot rhythmically chirped, the sound waves carrying with them a Normal energy based powered which would penetrate into the very soul of the Grimmsnarl and while it hurt it really was putting on more than it actually harmed it.

Amaranth's choice of attack would immediately grab the attention of the crowd as they turned their focus back to the battle, the people compelled to stomp and clap along with Pidgeot's beat. In just seconds Amaranth had reclaimed focus for the battle, to continue to pay homage to the Loyal Three's sacrifice.

Grimmsnarl was close to be down for the count but they still needed one last epic clash to wrap this battle up with, all legendary fights ended in one decisive blow after all. With crowd now interested again and pumped up by Pidgeot's beat Grimmsnarl knew just what move to break out, an easy lay up for the Pidgeot as well.

"Grimm...SNAAARL!" The ogre would conjure up a massive amount of Grass energy into the hair on its arm and with said infused hair would form a giant club around its arm. It would then take its club arm and swing it backwards, the club stretching out all the way across the battlefield behind it and some as its 'handle' extended. It would then take its hair club from a horizontal position and swing it with all its might overhead, intending to bring its Power Whip down upon Pidgeot, roaring savagely all the while. This display of power, especially using a club, the weapon of the ogre, caused the crowd to gasp and really get glued to the battle as some cried out for Pidgeot to get out of the way. But that wasn't going to happen, was it? No, Pidgeot was the hero of this story and heroes don't flee from threats.

The demon of Oni Mountain? The monster this entire town lives in fear? The town that celebrates its fabled defeat? And it just decided to go with you?"

"Yes, yes, her name is Ogerpon," Darts says, half shushing Sub from making so many ogre references as he takes the ball back in his hand, storing it in his coat. "You're lucky she's still beat down from our little fight earlier, or I'm almost certain she'd make you eat those words. And as you can SEE..." The Giratina hybrid winces as he pulls himself to a standing position finally, the battle wounds heavily evident in his hands and legs as he did so. "She didn't just come with me, she decided to come with me for...." Darts pauses, mid-sentence as he realizes he doesn't even really fully know the motives himself.

"Some reason. She mentioned something about our fight making me remind her of someone. And lucky for me that she decided to stop and eat a candy apple or I wouldn't be here talking to you right now." That fight had pushed Darts right to the edge, far too close for comfort to him having to go fully berserk, something he had only had to do once or twice so far. "I'll correct you on one thing. She's mostly Grass-type. Those masks the villagers were trying to keep from her, and with good reason if they wanted to have even a shot of beating her, allow her to switch not only types but fighting styles. From our little... spar, if you want to call it that, I can tell she's very strong and very skilled but she's self-taught. Untrained. And that, in some ways, is more dangerous than anything else. She's been ostracized from the village, lost somehow what she describes as her only friend, and wielding a power she probably doesn't even fully understand." He drifts back while talking to Sub, into his memory, back to when he had first showed up at Mymay Village.

“If I allow that madness to roam the world and it caused great destruction, but while it was on my doorstep I had the chance to stop it, but did nothing, whose fault would they say it was?”

That was one of the earliest things Teacher had asked him, when he first made contact with the Clan. Before making certain that he understood his power unchecked and untrained would not be allowed to wander the world freely. The old man had considered killing Darts then, but decided to let him live because:

"But the other voice, the voice deep down in my core says that we should leave you alive, that maybe the world might need you some day.”

And now Darts felt the weight of that conscience of crisis that his sensei had felt in that moment. Ogerpon had truly done nothing wrong, if what it said was true it had been dealt a very difficult hand. Put simply, however, it was dangerous. Dangerous to itself, dangerous to the simple people of this town. But he had a gut feeling that he and this little masked Pokemon walked very similar paths, and if he just let it go on its own when he had the opportunity to refocus and help it learn how to control itself for the betterment of others, and of itself, then he had a responsibility to do so.

"She's like me, in a way." He says finally, coming back to the conversation. "She's got nobody else out there, no family. If we leave her here, the village was going to kill her or she was going to have to kill the village. I think she knows that. So when I offered to show her the world had more than dark caves and angry people, she finally saw a way out from someone she felt she could trust... from fighting with them."

[Ogre Oustin']

As Cera arrived at the stand, she'd take notice of a couple of others, atop a Rhydon and Mightyena and was a little embarrassed at her realization that she could've just had Kiri out instead. Sure, Tyranitar were usually a little intimidating, but she'd probably have a lot of fun running around like this. But there was something fun about drifting on ice, if rough to actually pull off all that effectively. But with only a couple, having one stay behind as a goalie the whole time seemed like it wouldn't be too efficient. Surely she and Leslie would have better results, right?

She'd barely registered what Leslie said when the buzzer sounded, jumping in response and nodding to her. "Er, right, got it. Let's see if we can do what we managed earlier... alright Lapras, it's time for the real thing, let's go!" It'd take her no time to send Lapras back out, having her quickly fire an Ice Beam along the ground. The transformed Mew would stand in place as she focused for a moment, giving a quick nod before finally climbing onto Lapras' back. "I'll worry about the ice, you focus on sliding and drifting and those berries will fall right into our lap!"

With more ice coming from Cera's hands to start forming a path along the side opposite Leslie's, managing to maintain her Mimicry, the two would slide along a constantly forming path. She was still shaky with it; having to remember not to make the turns too sharp and actually collect stuff meant she had to keep herself in an awkward stance compared to just sitting. In the moment, it was starting to work out and she was managing a decent groove... if a bit too easy to tell exactly where she was going and where she'd been.

"Yeah, like that- wooooah, hard drift to the left! Almost to it... there!" The timely movement meant she'd slide right through a few balloons, getting a few berries in the process before starting another hard turn to deposit them. This did mean the center area would get icier with each pass, but that just meant it'd be easy to pass back and forth and totally would be a welcome addition to the other teams playing.

The center area becoming icier wasn't a major problem for the moment, as it seemed to be keeping down a few Pokemon who had just discovered a few people were kindly collecting some fresh berries. And while that got the local Munchlax and Skwovet to wake up and attempt to get through the stuff, they weren't very successful at getting across the pure sheets of ice that now composed some of the direct routes to the deposit bins. However, all this meant is that it took some cooperation to get across, as a few of the Skwovet quickly organized and began to throw partners across the ice sheets towards the berry bins to get their new bounty of treats. And while it took some time for the Pokemon to figure out the exact physics of this very new material, one of their brave explorers would thread the gap across a few of the ice trails to avoid being stranded in between a few intersecting trails and reach the ground around the berry bins. As it climbed up to examine the bounty, the Skwovet could hear a whistling behind it, obviously its brethren impressed at the skill it took to make it across this whole new hazard in order to obtain their just reward for existing in the area and being hungry.

That would be the last thought that Skwovet would have for a while, as the whistling coalesced into a loud crack when the berry that had been hurtling through the air found its target in the potential thief. Flipping a few times in the air, the berry would drop into its proper bin. The entire display of violence, accuracy, and noise would be enough for the resident smaller Pokemon, who all decided that discretion was the better part of not getting a concussion and scattered back into their hideaways for the time being.

Letting out a cackling cheer from across the field, Leslie would swing her hammer at another balloon. The thing would pop and the berry would barely have time to hang in the air before Leslie's hammer swing would connect with the foodstuff and send it flying to land with a plop into the designated berry collection bin. See, while Cera had been figuring out how to use her Lapras as a transport across the plains, Leslie had been trying to practice something else. Namely, her accuracy with belting the berries into their bins from where she collected them. And she certainly felt like she had this whole golf swing slash baseball batting idea down to a science now.

That would be how things would progress for their time for a while, with Cera skating to and fro to collect from her areas while Leslie simply kept venturing along her path to collect and immediately fire off berries for delivery. And while there would be the occasional attempt by the smaller local Pokemon to once again scavenge some ill-gotten berries, they would just as quickly be driven off. Although, it seems strange that it slowly only became the Skwovet appearing. Had the Munchlax simply given up?

A few loud thumps from deeper in the woodland would catch Leslie's attention, followed by an absolutely monstrous roar. What the hell was that? Had they accidentally woken up the world's angriest Dragon-type and it was coming to obliterate them as revenge? More thumps would erupt as a few trees began to fall before they appeared out of the forest onto the plains, much faster than Leslie could have expected. Especially once it became clear what exactly was causing the mild deforestation: a trio of Snorlaxes, barreling through at full speed with a few Munchlax trailing behind. "Cera! We need to defend the berries! The locals are real angry they can't try and walk across to them!" Leslie shouted across the field as she took off to try and catch up to their newest problem, mostly making sure things were clear for her companion rather than as a way to inform her. Leslie was sure that it was impossible to miss the terrifying noises that had been produced by this stampede.

As Sub listened to Darts he began to put the pieces together himself, getting confirmation from the man himself that he was on the right path in his assumption. Darts and this Ogrepon shared some similarities and it was through their similarities, their like experiences, that they were able to quickly establish something of a connection. As a veteran trainer this was unsurprising, Pokemon tended to work like that, they gravitate towards trainers who can sympathize with them, a friend that knows what they are going or been through. With a sigh he just shook his head. "You've gone soft..." He chuckled to himself as he hung his head. After lifting his head back up and looking Darts in the eyes he smiled.

"You're an idiot, however one with good intentions, I suppose." He told the hybrid, Griswold laughing in agreement. "Well it sounds like you are going to have your work cut out for you, now that you caught the menacing og-...Ogrepon. One thing is for certain neither one of you can spend a second more here in Kitakami. It's not safe for you or the townsfolk. Go back to headquarters, Darts, and show Ogrepon its new home." Sub said as he took out his SNAG, tapping away on the screen. Shortly after he put it away in his pocket did Claydol appear, the implication clear; teleport back home.

"I'm going to head back into town and wrangle up the others. I think we're all done here." He said, turning around to walk away, Griswold fading back into his shadow as there was nothing fun to watch anymore. "...you're a good man, Darts." The Snagem leader said loud enough for Darts to hear him as he walked away into the night.

Requiem of Whyspers

Clare would get confirmation from Sub via SNAG that there was no need to look into the Ogre Clan and the disappearing masks, that they have found where they went and have been returned to their rightful owner. Once that was cleared up Perrin would treat her new friend in Clare to some mochi from the traditional mochi maker and would have the hybrid join her to watch a puppet show depicting the Battle of the Loyal Three. After that the night was starting to wind down and Perrin would be sure to give Clare her number as they prepared to part ways.

"Please give my number to your agent, I would love the opportunity to work with your in a more professional setting some time!" She pleaded with Clare, her Growlithe barking happily in agreement as it nuzzled up to Clare's leg. "Oh! And before you go, here." She said, fishing out of her bag a small brooch. It was made of some kind of blue crystal and was designed to look like close up flower. "I got it from a stand selling jewelry made from the crystals harvested from the Crystal Pool. Apparently the locals are trying to break into the jewelry industry to grow Kitakami's economy. I only bought it to support them but I think it would look before on you. The man said the closed up flower represents unrealized potential and I think that really applies to someone as beautiful as you! You're going to go far!" She said with a smile before looking at her watch.

"Well, I better get going. I have an early bus tomorrow out of here. You have a good night! Keep in touch!" With that said she waved to Clare and walked off, Buddy following close behind.

Clare would check their SNAG when Sub responded to their message, letting out a small sigh and shaking their head as they read through it. "I shouldn't be surprised he already knows about all this but something tells me it wasn't any more intentional than me hearing about it." They told themself. They'd find themself being invited to join Perrin to enjoy the remainder of the festival after that, accepting happily, though they couldn't quite get concern for Darts, specifically, out of their mind as they went. The Mochi Perrin treated them to was delicious and the puppet show felt like it was far more informative than the tribute battle was proving to be for what they had seen of it. "I can get my report written with this, I think!" They realized toward the end. The puppet show had given enough information about the events that had taken place, per the villagers' knowledge of it all, at least, to write something at least halfway decent. If they had time, they would try to talk to some of the villagers before going back home to get a little more detail but this would at least get them a passing grade.

Once the show was over and the night was beginning to wind down, granted with local authorities in greater force at this point, from what the hybrid could tell, they found themself near the entrance to the festival grounds, exchanging contact information with the photographer. "I'll be sure to give it to her! I feel like working with you would be a lot of fun, myself." They assured Perrin, gasping slightly as the young woman presented them with a beautiful brooch. "It's beautiful!" They announced, taking it carefully and quickly pinning the crystal flower to collar of their dress.

"I'll make sure you call now and theen." They promised, waving Perring off before beginning to make their way back to the community center on their own. "I do hope those two didn't hurt each other..."

He taps Claydol on the forehead, rapping it affectionately with one gilt knuckle before it warps him off back to HQ in a flash.

[Loyal Three Battle Tribute]

Amaranth would return the nod in kind, getting herself back into a more appropriate pose befitting the role she was playing in this battle. Anxious thoughts and concerns would melt for the moment, replaced with a confidence that had to act for three. The crowd's stomps and claps acting in time with Gale's melody certainly helped, both to get the tribute's focus back after the earlier scene and get her a little more grounded. A relieved sigh came that almost defied her pose, but it'd be obvious to the crowd and Grimmsnarl that she wouldn't be backing off. Of course her Pidgeot could get out of the way, it'd be an easy task. Were this a battle with higher stakes, she might even do just that.

But this was an act, and as one of the so-called heroes of the story, evading the attack and backing down weren't options now. You fight that giant, snarling ogre head-on or die trying. And she had the perfect idea on how to pull the finishing blow. One that might be a bit on the rough side for Grimmsnarl, but she had a feeling they could take it.

"It's now or never, Gale," she spoke up, quick to clamber upon her Pidgeot's back as Grimmsnarl approached. A quick tap would follow, a cue to start building up. A breeze seemed to pick up in time with the tap, with Gale's plumage giving off a light glow as more and more energy gathered. "We strike down the ogre here and now, even if it destroys us like it did the others! We won't sit here in fear, and neither shall the people of this land any longer!" Just as Grimmsnarl's club was raised high, larger than before and threatening to crush the two with its sheer size and might, her Pidgeot's glow kept intensifying. Like a final light shining in the night, in active defiance towards the force that sought to put it out.

Keeping herself low for the strike to come, Amaranth would notice a vulnerable spot from the earlier attacks and a way to throw Grimmsnarl off balance. A chuckle almost came out of her, certain about the lay up provided. But now was time to bring this home, and she'd point at the spot to aim for. "Now, Gale! Sky Attack!"

By now the song of chirps had ended, replaced with a louder one to serve as a battle cry. The glow would flare out as Gale flew at Grimmsnarl with all the force she could muster, energy trailing behind the bird's flight and twisting in the air as it dissipated. Their path brought them straight into the Power Whip, Amaranth bracing herself as the two attacks would surely clash. A fitting final stand for a sacrifice.

Freth watched as Crystal started her way off back for the HQ. As she hovered over the waters, Freth once again crossed her arms under her wings, partially wondering if this team was ever going to actually make it through one excursion without something going wrong. It was only two days and something had to happen between members. They were to head back tomorrow roughly first thing, if nothing else, Tristen still had roughly a day longer than that so he could catch a flight back to Paldea. Well, she wasn’t leaving without a souvenir, if nothing else. Eris’s Galarian Articuno visage appeared in the water reflection below Freth, staring at Freth with a bit of annoyance. “You’re not getting more of that sake, are you?” Eris spoke to her.

“Hey, that was some good sake…I wonder if they got jugs around here.” It got a sigh out of Eris, the image returning to Freth’s reflection in the meantime.

Meanwhile back at the festival grounds, Tristen who was going to assist Clara with trying to figure out where the masks went off to was cut off when Sub messaged stating that the masks were returned to the original owner. Tristen stared in confusion as if to ask what in the world Sub meant by that, but apparently whatever the case was, there was no needed to investigate into the Ogre Clan. He’d probably try to reach him later to find out what was going on. With Perrin and Clare off on their own way, Tristen went on to try to enjoy himself a little more at the festival, for what little of it there still was for the time being, though he kept on the look out for this other person that he was told about before the Snagems arrived. It was going to be busy for the next 18 hours or so for the Manetric hybrid.

As Amaranth mounted her bird the crowd gasped in shock, that a trainer might actually ride their Pokemon into battle, against the menacing ogre nonetheless, it was unheard of! What a brave, if not foolish, woman she was! Amaranth might even hear a few voices, mostly those of elders, pleading for her to get down from there but of course their pleas would go unanswered. As she and Pidgeot took to the sky the crowd just became even more enthralled by the spectacle, cheers of 'Amaranth!' beginning as she soared overhead. Now having the crowd in the palm of her hand Pidgeot and Amaranth would set their sights on the falling Power Whip, no doubt moving so slow on purpose as to increase the drama of it all. That Grimmsnarl was an actor through and through.

Alongside Pidgeot's battle cry the crowd shouted for her to 'Get the ogre!", the ogre letting out a spit slinging roar of its own to keep up the savage act. Quickly the space between the Power Whip and Sky Attack would shrink until, suddenly and without pause, Pidgeot and Amaranth sliced right through the Power Whip, cutting it in twain. The lopped off piece of the hair club would linger in the air for a brief second before the built up Grass energy became unstable and was released in a explosion of Grass and Flying energy, the last mixed in from Pidgeot's Sky Attack. The explosions would trail down the 'handle' of the club until it reached Grimmsnarl, the ogre, and caused a chain reaction where all its built up Terastalization energies became unstable and released in one massive explosion of green light. The crowd would gasp in horror as the explosions of light and resulting cloud of dust made it difficult to see what became of Amaranth and Pidgeot.

Silence would fall over the gathered crowd for a few seconds until Pidgeot pierced through the cloud of dust, returning triumphant in its defeat of the ogre. At that same time the dust would begin to settle revealing the fainted Grimmsnarl, sprawled out on the ground with a slight smile remaining on its face. The crowd would break out into massive cheers, masks being thrown up into the air in celebration. Again, they sounded out Amaranth's name, but this time not as a motivational chant but a cheer of jubilation.

"She has done it! The herald of the Loyal Three! Amaranth! You have saved our fair town!" The old man who had released the Grimmsnarl announced from his portable speaker, shouting into his ancient corded mic. The people of Mossui Town would remember this night.

I stretched as Keiko watched the moon rise into the night sky. We'd been lying on a grassy hillside somewhere outside of town. We enjoyed the festival for as long as we could, but when problems started popping up, we walked away. We came here to get away from work and spend time as a couple, and I wasn't about to let work come to us given the last time Keiko and I were on a date happened long before we married.

"It's getting late," Keiko yawned as we cuddled. "Rala can take us home, right? I REALLY don't wanna suffer through another ten-hour bus ride."

"We've only been here a day," I reminded her with a smirk. "Though by the sound of things-" I started to say as the sound of people cheering in a stadium echoed from the nearby town.

"I miss my daughter, okay?" Keiko insisted, though she calmed herself down right after. "I'm sorry. We came out here to be together, and I'm glad we did, but I've been holding back my homesickness all day. I didn't even get to talk about what I'd heard about this place when I was a kid because the crap hit the fan so fast. I love you, and I'm glad we did this, but... I wanna see Yuna." she pouted, holding me closer near the end of her rant.

"I love you, too," I smirked, kissing her on the lips before pushing myself up. "Let's get the sheets put away and I'll see if Rala's up."

We stood up and packed everything we put down around us so as to not leave a mess behind for the nearby wild Pokemon to get into before I let Rala out of her ball. She yawned, then turned to face us, and I could feel the mischievous grin before it showed up on her face. "Get your head out of the gutter, Rala. Rabbit mama wants to see her baby bunny." I insisted. Thankfully, Rala didn't comment further and took us home.

After splitting off from Perrin for the night and heading back to the community center, Clare took a bit of time to begin typing up a preliminary report on their SNAG regarding the Loyal Three. After spending about half an hour on it, they put away the device and changed into their pajamas before crawling into the bed they'd been provided with and getting some sleep.

When morning came, they would awake with the sunrise, the sound of local farm Pokemon also awakening greeting them as they showered, dressed and made their way back into town for a short time. It would be a short visit, taking only a little time to walk around to some of the more noticeable folks in town and ask about the Loyal Three. Along the way, they would learn the town still had one family of descendants from the mask maker of the old legends and upon speaking with him, would learn of a slightly different tale regarding the Three. He would be the last person they spoke to before heading back to the community center and spending the rest of the day working on their report.

That is, when they weren't admiring the beautiful brooch Perrin had gifted them, at least. The flower was so realistic that it almost seemed alive, as if it might burst into bloom at any moment and shower it's surroundings in crystalline dust via it's pollen.

By the end of the day, the hybrid had constructed a decently well-written report on the Loyal Three, the names now learned as "Okidogi", "Munkidori" and "Fezandipiiti" and the Ogre, who they had now learned had a name "Ogrepon". Sitting with their completed report as day drew into night, they looked out to the fields once again. "How interesting the world is. I never would have thought that such a tale could exist in such a modern world. Especially one with more than one side, even if only one person knows the other side of it." They told themself.

By this point, they had to grab their bag and head back to the bus station for the trip back. It seemed many of the Snagems had returned home already by this point and they sighed softly as they noted the distinctly smaller number of people who would be riding the bus back."I do hope those two are alright... I'll have to go back and check on them soon." They noted to themself as the bus arrived. With their brooch clipped to their collar as it had been yesterday, they ensured their bag was on hand and boarded. It didn't appear to be Mr. Marcel driving this time but they were too distracted to pay any attention to who was at the moment.
