X Super Sailor Dejanira Senshi of Raspberries: Dam 10 + 7 + 7 + 5 + 10 / talisman bonus +5Roll 5Dejanira was about to attack the monster again when she was surrounded by darkness and thrown to the ground, she couldn't hear anything at all. it was like a great nothingness had swallowed her. If she could have seen a target she would have thrown a ball of raspberry jam power at it, but there was nothing to be seen at all. Not even her own hands. Then as quickly as it came the darkness shattered and she saw a small light on the ground and she picked it up. She looked around but she didn't see the monster she frowned confused as to what was going on. (Open for interaction)

Squire Pendour- Roll 5: 3
Pendour had done a lot of mental health work over the past few years or so. She knew that while her trauma affected her in a variety of ways, she was not generally prone to flashbacks. This was different. When she she found herself blind, alone, and shrouded in magical shadows, she froze up. When the claws started tracing and raking at her back, her arms, her face, there were barely any gaps for her brain to fill in to send her back to another night. She bucked and squirmed against Oberon's grip all at once. In that moment, he was someone else. Her arms went straight to her face, shielding her eyes. She curled into a ball from the shoulders up, and all the while she was mumbling, "No. No. Nononononono." It ended with a shove to the ground. That was terribly familiar, too, only this time, somebody caught her. Some of the magic seemed to fade, then, and she remembered that it was Oberon, not a certain General, who was next to her in this darkness. It was still much to dark for her to really calm down, but with effort, she stilled and lowered her arms. "Sorry," she said, voice soft as soft. "I'm so sorry." Her knees felt weak. She wanted so badly to go to sit down, not to sneak past some raging monster in the darkness to the river, but she also didn't want to hold anyone back. Not again. "You can go," she said. "I think Sess is that way. I," she swallowed, swaying a little, "I'll catch up."

Corrupt Eternal Cybele- Roll 5: 7 + 5 Talisman Bonus = 12
The darkness and whatever mind magic the creature was trying to use on her now was nothing compared to the pain that was blooming in ribs, and then in her back as she landed flat in the dirt.
That was right where the bruises she'd sustained from the monster earlier were, and she hissed as all the breath was driven from her body. She stayed flat on her back for a moment, feeling the blood start to pool at her side. Cybele was not really one to resign herself to things, but in that moment when there was nothing but darkness around her, she was getting close.
The bits of light glowing here and there throughout her vision were enough to snap her out of it. One of them was very close. It was a talisman she'd plucked from the trees her first day in this realm and kept tied to her ribbons since. It took a lot of what strength she had left, but she pulled herself to a seated position and held the talisman out in front of her.

Eternal Remarque - Roll 5 (+5 Bonus)
Remarque had not anticipated that any of the things he pilfered would have been of use, but the talismans had just been hanging from the trees, just begging to be put to good use.
So, this was it, it seemed.
He'd had some reservations, not quite sure if they were meant for their protection or the beast's, but he'd taken a risk and it had paid off.
In this crushing, smothering darkness, there was a light form his pocket--the talismans, just burning away at the darkness.
Even against the crushing sensation of walls closing in, he still had the will to thrash against them.
He could feel claws against his skin, biting, but it only fueled his frantic effort to break free and get out of here.

Sailor Arnica - Roll 5 (+5 Bonus)
Arnica was lucky that he hadn't been claustrophobic or this would have been really unsettling. The darkness was fine, but when it felt like great black walls were closing in on him, that was another thing entirely. He felt his heart shoot into his lungs and briefly he thought he might be getting crushed alive--only, the walls stopped when he was merely pinned against them. There wasn't much he could do but flail and kick, hoping to break out of whatever prison he'd been trapped in.
The glowing light from the talisman he'd picked up did little to help him see what circumstances he'd gotten himself stuck in, but he was desperate to escape all the same. He could feel a pressure against his skin, but nothing that really hurt beyond the throbbing of his foot meeting something solid.

Mauvian Soleiyu - Roll 5 (+5 Bonus)
Soleiyu thought that his smallness again might save him, and there was some reprieve from the attacks simply by nature of him being less of a target than most--but even that wasn't enough to spare him from the darkness boxing him in.
He was used to seeing well in the dark, but this was something more than that. Something different.
Something evil.
He strained his eyes, doing his best to try and make out any details when, suddenly, one of the talismans he'd plucked from a tree root manifested from his subspace next to him.
He hadn't thought he brought that out, but then, he was feeling confused and disoriented. As the light from it grew, so too did a bit of hope swell in his chest, like maybe it would enough to see, to make a plan, to get out of this predicament.
...Or, at least, signal to someone nearby that he needed help.

Squire Mamertine - Roll 5 (+5 Bonus)
Even the darkness, even the walls closing in, even the persistent feel of dread, of something bruising against him and pushing into his flesh, wasn't enough to stop Mamertine. The darkness was as fueling to him as it was daunting.
His expression did little to betray his true emotions; he seemed impassive, if not just determined to push on through this, even when his heart was pounding and he could feel the adrenaline stabbing through his veins.
The light of the talisman he collecting startled him from his swinging; he couldn't even tell if his hammer was hitting the wall, or anything; it felt like it, but it also felt like he was trying to swing it through water.
The light of the talisman did little to relieve any of the darkness--but it served to reassure him enough to give him a second wind as he continued trying to escape the illusion and attack the monster.

Chibi Super Lepus | 8+9+6+10+8 (+5 bonus) | Roll 5
Lepus was the kind of person who happened to be particularly stubborn, usually when it came to all the wrong kinds of things. For once in a blue moon, though, she was legitimately being stubborn in the good sort of way, refusing to let this monster break her spirit. It was awfully hard staying 'in character', though, and upholding her 'defender of justice' nature, when the monster was trying just as hard to wear her down. The darkness was closing in even more, and Lepus could feel it, a feeling of being all alone, even though she knew she wasn't, and a phantom feeling of claws dragging across skin, even though no mark was left. But Lepus wasn't one to be taken down that easily, and so she endured all of this with a determined look on her face, even if it was a struggle to maintain it.
"You won't take me down that easily...!" the teen managed to say, and, perhaps in response to her words, she noticed the talismans she had collected in the forest eons ago were starting to glow.

Chibi Hokkaido| 7+6+2+8+6 (+5 bonus) | Roll 5
Hokkaido was not having a good time right now, not that she ever had been the entire time they had been here. She wished nothing more for this all to turn out to be one really bad dream, and to wake up in her room, safe and sound, but it had dragged on far too long for that to happen, now. Everything was so dark, that she couldn’t see nor sense her twin anywhere nearby, leaving her to feel even more alone. Why, oh why had she ever accepted that pen from that talking kitten that day? If she had known it would lead to this... Hokkaido crouched low to the ground as the darkness pushed her down, hands over her ears, as if that would help her block out all the despair she was feeling at the moment.
Before all hope could be lost, though, a small glow caught Hokkaido’s attention; the talisman that Lepus had given her was reacting to... something. While she still couldn’t see very much amidst all the darkness, the small glow started to brighten up the surroundings, slowly but surely. She had no idea what was the purpose of these things, but she dearly hoped that it would be the key to getting back home once and for all.

Sailor Deneb | 5+4+3+8+3 | Roll 5 (+5 bonus)
The longer things dragged on, the worse they became, and the more irritable Deneb became. As the darkness threatened to shove her to the ground, the young woman stood her ground, using a considerable amount of willpower to stay upright and maintain her sanity. She wouldn’t be meeting her end here and now, that was for sure; of course, that was easier said than done when the ever consuming Darkness was closing in on her like a bunch of walls, trapping her in place.
But just as soon as the walls started closing in did they shatter, though it wasn't particularly like there was any difference between now and ten seconds ago, save for not having to confront the possibility that she may very well be claustrophobic anytime soon. While Deneb still couldn't even see her own hands practically, a small glow contributed to brightening up things, little by little. Frowning, the senshi of bubbles realized the glow was coming from that charm thing she had found in the forest, that she had found (and pocketed) ages ago, having quickly forgotten all about it.
Huh, so those things had their use after all, maybe. Well, Deneb had no idea what their true purpose was, but it worked as a convenient (yet highly weak) flashlight for the time being.

Civilian Safiya | Roll 5 (+5 bonus)It was a little embarrassing, for Cinta to be so clingy towards her, even though Safi could understand the general sentiments being expressed. "... Glad to see you too," she told Cinta, albeit a bit of an awkward manner. Geeze, it was nice that someone cared about her, but even after all they'd been through, it still felt a little 'cringe' that it came from someone from her own family, given her animosity towards them. They'd have to catch up on things later, though, because the darkness continued to spread, and became nearly overwhelming, practically shoving Safiya down to the ground. Was this how things were going to end? Was this Game Over? A glow came from her pocket, and Safi took out the talisman she had collected what seemed like ages ago. So it seemed like those things that had been hanging on the trees had some purpose, after all? Hopefully they had the key to getting out of here. "Stay close," she told Cinta, putting a hand on her shoulder once more, though it was hard for them to see each other in the darkness.

Civilian Kalani | Roll 5 (+5 bonus)
Man, this was such a scam, really. It wasn't as if Kalani had ever been expecting an all-expenses paid dream vacation in the three weeks she had been trapped here, but being stuck here in Silent Hill, with a monster that just refused to know when to take the L and call it quits already... just really wasn't it, chief. It wasn't as if she'd ever take responsibility and contribute to the fight as Morishita, but she had to admit not being able to power up was seriously making her life ever so much more inconvenient. As others despaired around her, Kalani mostly felt just apathy, as the walls of darkness came closing in, and then shattered. The monster couldn't exactly break her spirit if she didn't care, after all; her primary thoughts remained that she was going to take a very long nap after all of this was over... and burn her clothes, of course.
The darkness made it hard to really make out her surroundings anymore, let alone anything in front of her; Kalani knew the feeling of phantom claws raking across skin were most likely not real, but there was still a concern about it scarring her skin and maiming her flawless complexion. A small light appeared, and after a moment of confusion, Kalani realized it was one of those little talisman things, that she had filched off of Deneb when the older woman had first brought a handful of those things home. Well, okay, weird, but maybe it had some purpose, after all.
Like inflicting some actual damage to this monster, for one.

Captain Rakovanite l 6 R4 R1: 6 R2: 7 R3: 4 R4: 6
He wasn't ever going to be thrilled by mostly complete strangers wandering too close to him and giving him orders, no matter how good their intentions were or how they may have run into each other previously. And Rakovanite still couldn't place with any certainty where they may have run into each other before.
Neither was it really his primary concern at the moment, but amidst the turmoil of the present, there was still a fraction of impatient curiosity for where he'd seen this girl before (he was a smart man, he should know these things- but it wasn't important at this time. Later, maybe). She beckoned for him to look toward her, though rationally it seemed wiser to keep his attention on the thing attacking them.
It loomed, now, growing larger and larger as it swallowed up and melded into the darkness. What could be done against a creature bigger, faster, and stronger than any of them, when nothing they did even scraped it?
It could tear through trees and beat them all away with one swipe. If it even grazed anyone, they'd go sprawling off across the grass.
This had never been a hopeful situation, not when they'd been deposited here three weeks ago with nothing but fear and questions. And it was just as hopeless now. The easiest and simplest thing to do would be to accept that. Maybe for some that would mean staying, continuing the fight, and losing. Maybe others would retreat back to the village and spend the rest of their days frightened and waiting, waiting, waiting...
Rakovanite pinched his fingers against the bridge of his nose and let out a straggled breath. He was not going to be waiting, waiting, waiting. He'd already decided that much. So what did it matter if he looked at the monster or the girl or anything else at this moment?
He huffed and turned back to the redhead to be met with eyes as vividly blue as the sky on a sunshiney day, tucked behind a visor. She winked at him, and Rakovanite frowned slightly in response. He did distinctly remember a senshi with a visor, if he thought about it hard enough. Whatever magic she'd cast with the gesture began to take effect, and he felt a slight tingling ebb in to replace the sharper pain he'd been feeling in his ribs earlier. This was better, at least, and maybe her 'optimistic' powers made things just a little clearer, too... "Ah."
"The girl from the church," he murmured quietly, almost too much so to be heard over the commotion around them. "You were corrupted."
Epine de Rose Suuuuper belated response to Adorea's magic.

Captain Rakovanite l 6 + 5 Talisman bonus R5 R1: 6 R2: 7 R3: 4 R4: 6 R5: 6
(Response to this post)
He supposed he couldn't say with any absolute certainty that they had met before. Rakovanite had run into (to say they'd 'met' was a stretch) a White Moon Senshi whose uniform shared similar elements to the corrupt's. That much was fact. But he'd also met a few corrupts who looked similar to each other, as well. There was really no guarantee that a White Moon couldn't look like a corrupt, he supposed...
But Rakovanite doubted that was the case.
After having a chance to converse with Cybele, one of few he knew the corruption tale of, he had to expect that something similar had likely happened to this girl. During their first meeting, he hadn't gotten the impression she would come to their side willingly, though they hadn't had much opportunity to speak, what with him trying to kill her and all.
But he figured the airy sort of way she responded to him (seeming as though she wasn't sure what he was insinuating, and didn't seem to care one way or the other), Raovanite had to assume she'd been treated the same as Cybele. Her memories were gone, but it was no huge burden to bear.
He didn't understand how it could be the case, but that was just how it was.
Rakovanite gave a tiny nod f thanks as the worst of the pain from a previous fight ebbed, only to be replaced by an indescribable force of gravity as he was lurched toward the ground, as if shoved. The sensation of claws raking down the thin fabric of his shirt left a sting in their wake, and Rakovanite's focus quickly swiveled around in the darkness, looking for the girl- Adorea, she'd said. Or Cervantite. Or Narcissus.
The darkness was smothering, cutting off any hope he had of finding them, but there were shards appearing from all around, like tiny glowing torches that zoomed through the air. One slid from Rakovanite's own person.
He'd forgotten he'd collected them with his brother.
