This time Dei was determined to do better with his fireworks display. He'd talked to Thypion about it the night before, assuring him he'd be careful with the explosives and while his lusus was still uneasy, he was pretty sure he'd at least gotten him to not ruin his attempts at building the most amazing display ever.
He'd gotten it stacked pretty high and stocked well before something went awry. He wasn't sure how, but one of the fuses had gotten lit. He ran back to Thypion as soon as he noticed it- at least the explosions this time were interesting?

Trolls had a pretty hardy exoskeleton, but the look of the floor buffer did not make Chiara confident in its abilities. Truthfully, she should have gone with something a little more durable, but instead she picked up a squeegee and a sea sponge. The sea sponge wasn't exactly soft, having been dried out for quite a few hours, and the thought of actually supporting anything from the sea made the blueblood glare. The sea was not a great place, full of gross troll killer lusus, deadly, drowning water, and, worst of all, seadwellers. Somehow, despite its terrible past, Chiara gave the sea sponge a chance. It was on the superior terrain now; land; so she could let its past crimes be excused. The squeegee on the other hand made her feel like some sort of vehicle that needed washing. It was tough, tough to be just this great. Chiara finally picked out two and went on.

Forera stared at the items offered, rubbing her slippery chin. For the first time in a long while, Forera actually seemed thoughtful of something. She tapped her bottom lip, hand on her hip as she giggled and grabbed the sea sponge and squeegee-- They'd keep her shiny and soft, scrape some of that sweet sweet oil offa her. She wasn't against the oil, no, there was just so much she was actually dripping! Not cool. She strode back (carefully) to the drones and handed them their tools, displaying herself to the two. Even if she didn't win, this was the first time in ages that she'd been pampered!

There was a glint of something shiny in a box in the corner, so she scurried over to look. A sequined dress, pretty and colorful but another of the points seemed to be the not wearing much. She didn't have much choice though so she grabbed it and then the disco ball she found under it. Some creative contestant could do something with that right? Maybe? Oh she was the worst at this.

Hivestuck My name is: Akkira Kagome My team is: Red My choices for today:[please choose 2]D & E Effulgence Score:-5 Oleaginousness Score:0 Tincture Score:0 Deportment Score:+2 After being lathered with the substances, apparently there was something about buffering going to happen? not too interested in having little wigglers and strange drones touching her with their bare hands, Akkira opted for something else. She didn't see it so much as nearly trip over the buffing machine. That seemed like a much better alternative to whatever else they had. "Hey, this thing works right? Use this!" She stayed still as the buffer rolled over her body and rubbed into her skin. She was not too great about how it sort of chaffed in certain areas, like her back especially where the scars criss crossed. Then the sponges. It wasn't as bad as she was expecting, but still really weird. Once that was done she ran her hand over her skin and hummed a little bit at the feeling. Was her skin softer? Well whatever, maybe she was just organs at this point.

Effulgence Score:-4 Oleaginousness Score: 0 Tincture Score: 0 Deportment Score: -3 Well, if there was one thing he was, it was aromatic! He laughed at his own rather matte coat, but was quite pleased with how even it had turned out regardless. He wasn't exactly flashy with the combination of oils. Ganyma worked himself over with his hands alone, before realizing he needed some help. He called over a drone to help him with the large space of his back, but sharp nails made him prickle - and his chitinous shield partially activated around his shoulders. "Oh, dang it!" Ganyma grunted. He tried to clear his head and focus to get his body to settle down, but the cool air running on top of his oddly covered body must have been giving him some mixed signals. He shrugged and decided it would become part of his look. The only downside - he needed more topcoat! With the help of the drone, Ganyma slathered on some more of his mixture, and upon recommendation of his helper realized that a sculpting tool such as a dremel would really make his spikes shine. "Try not to make them too sharp, though --" Ganyma warned, "I don't want to take out any eyes!"

Yesterday he had only managed to get one firework to work properly, and tonight the very first one he tried sizzled and died. He felt himself duying inside just a bit. He wanted to see lights! Flashes! Explosions! All the things he had always wanted in life and finally had a chance to grasp were coming down. No fireworks westerday, no fireworks tonight, the blueblood considered just lying down and being done for the night. Except he couldn't stay outside on the floor during the day, that was suicide. No, he would just have to accept this unfortunate event and move on...
