Shun Kuroda 25/25 | Attempting to finish off Melany, then exiting Shun's gaze locked with Autumn's for a moment. It seemed that may be the only way to get through this situation. He looked towards the others individually, then dropped his blade to the ground, and turned away silently. He began to walk off, but paused just by the entrance to the hall to glance over his shoulder. There were a lot of people there, and he hadn't exactly done this before. He'd only have one shot. There was a subtle flick of his wrist. The fallen blade sprang to life from the ground only to fly straight for the Spinel Lady's skull. He didn't stay for the outcome. He had enough of this, and time was running out. And so he left. Th Semblance of Unity You may roll to defend. Only one of you need to succeed.

connor hill - 20?/25 - :T trying to defend Melany I guess They could have stood their and argued ethics and morals until an already hostile situation came to an ultimate conclusion, and then they would be less than any better off, because they'd all be ******** dead. And so, Connor bit his tongue, finished with this little game of back and forth. It was clear that they were at an impasse, with nobody willing to budge, or even to falter, briefly, on what they felt was right. "This is ******** ridiculous." He muttered, under his breath, as he turned away from Shun, his attention going to the unconscious woman on the ground, kneeling near her, deciding which way was best to carry her without doing more damage, or at least, the minimal amount. It was the sound of the knife clattering against the floor that made him turn back towards the detective, eyes narrowing as he watched the man make his retreat towards the door. It was just good luck that he noticed the subtle motion, and the flash of light glinting on steel as the blade cut through the air directly towards him, as proximity dictated the the knife would have to practically go through Connor to get to Melany. His heart jolted in his chest, his eyes widened. His movements were purely instinctual, and he raised his arm in a swift motion, knocking the blade to the side, just barely clipping it with the palm of his hand, sending it skittering to the floor, the sting of a long, deep cut along his hand delayed as adrenaline surged through him. " Christ" Connor hissed, still looking at the knife, sure that it would spring to life and come hurtling towards him again. "That <******** a*****e."

[ Temperance 25/25 exiting to escape] "Holy shi-... are you a ninja?" Then she waved the question away. It didn't matter. "Good reflexes, Connor." Temperance looked at the other exits. "Let's not go out the same one as him, okay?" Her head was still spinning.

Jordan Miller - 25/25 - being a crutch The flicker of motion was small and rapid, and Jordan didn't realize what was happening until the small knife clattered spinning to the floor. "What the hell," he said, looking off towards the door where Shun had vanished. "Did he - yeah, let's maybe go the other way." Had the guy somehow done that? Had it been some other enemy of Melany's taking advantage of her weakened state? It didn't really matter, he guessed. They needed to get out of here. He helped Autumn up, supporting her carefully. "I've got you. Give you a raincheck on the dinner thing?"

"I'll hold you to it," she replied airily, feeling just the faintest hint of a fog. Inhale, exhale. Just keep herself alive. But there was still one unfinished thread, one thing she couldn't let go-
"Has... has anyone seen Alexis?"

Noeh opens her hands. She holds out the glittering thing she had been clutching: a stone. She shakes her head and points after Melany: she lives.

connor hill - 20/25 - leaving w/Melany (assuming he can) Connor's hand had begun to bleed, dripping on the floor, the pain finally registering as he finally tore his gaze off of the fallen knife and noticed for the first time what had happened. "Right. We should ******** go." He reached up with his uninjured hand and loosened his tie, stripping it off to wrap around the wound before he bent to the task of lifting Melany up into his arms. Whether people considered it right or wrong (and Connor had a feeling most were going to judge them really ******** wrong on this one), he was going through with this. He nodded towards an exit, and began making his way towards it without another word spoken. ((exiting))

algernon mercer || 25/25 || wtf "What is that?" The stone, of course. Alg then turned towards where Melany lay just in time to see her taken away. "What in the hell-"They were ahead of him, too far unless he ran, but he hadn't even found Jeremiah yet and the other wasn't the type to leave him. What was their game? Did they think they were going to just take her to a hospital? If she was still the Lady of the Court, she was still very very dangerous. If she could leave this place at all."That flicker in her appearance-" Alg frowned, his urge to take chase stilled, not until he had his husband. He spoke carefully to Noeh, not sure what he was supposed to trust, "-I saw it."

"I'm right here," came a quiet voice, Alexis ducking their head into the doorway with an unimpressed look. Their left arm hung limply at their side, undershirt ripped, a crude brace fashioned to hold their unresponsive wrist. "We goin'? I only heard most of that, didn't see anything, but..." They shrugged, face deliberately neutral. "You need help gettin' out? You look like s**t."

"I look like s**t? Says you," she quipped, her heart clearly not in it. Honestly, she was falling apart at the seams, barely staying upright. But Alexis didn't need to know that. Just... needed to get them out of there.
"...Let's get going, yeah?"

Jordan Miller - 25/25 - exiting Jordan nodded to the newcomer and passed Autumn off to them, relieved that she'd found her friend. "I ought to go with them," he said. "Stay safe." With that, he turned and followed Temperance and Connor. Moonstone Dazzle just removin' myself thx~

jeremiah mercer || 22/27 || had a very surreal conversation It takes longer for him to make it back to the Silver Hall, especially when he has to make sure and avoid very, very angry servants and a couple otherbeings who look as if they wish to lynch the first visitor they come across. He appears in a bit of a cold fire, smouldering slightly before that fades away and he looks around the hall. (Thankfully he missed the shenangins with Melany or there would be words.) Jeremiah immediately spies Algie, close to Noeh and makes his way over to the pair. There is no mask on his face now, though the bullfrog mask hangs on his side. When he reaches Algie and Noeh, his fingers curl briefly around the other in a familiar greeting. "Alg," there is relief there, "sorry, I had to-" The look on his face is obvious that he likely nearly had an episode and removed himself for a moment. He frowns again as he reaches for the mask on Algie's face, fingers touching it. It shimmers before they return to being his glasses as they had been. Then the taller man turns towards Noeh, his face softening just a bit because- Well- A small, gracious bow is given. "Hopefully I am not interrupting but it seems as if things are coming to a head."
