There was no method to this assault, thought Lt Vegemite, as she picked her way around the edges of the carnage in her khaki pencil skirt and heels, the black warpaint streaks on her face doing little to camouflage her in the grey-purple castle light. Forget the rabble that was Order, of course they couldn’t organise a piss-up in a brewery. But her own people - no-one was giving orders! It was a bloody mess was what it was. And though she didn’t mean it literally, she couldn’t miss the smears on the castle floor.
She did her best to keep up with the fighting, but with so many of her fellow officers stepping up to defend their stronghold, there wasn’t much she could do with a plastic jar. Mostly, she’d been scouring the battlefield, picking starseeds from the dying once her compatriots had finished with them. So far, she had three, safely sealed in her jar with the lid screwed on. The opportunity to pluck one from a still-living enemy hadn’t yet come up. Keeping out of the way was the most she could offer, especially when the hard-hitting generals and General-Queen Apatite herself took to the floor.
For a while, it was stacks-on the General-Queen. Then somehow, things were shifting under the Queen’s skin, and it was stacks-on everyone else. Vegemite watched with interest, and at some distance.
That was about to be a fabulous and unholy distraction, she thought, and looked around for any invaders that might be too busy staring at the Queen to notice a lowly Lieutenant sneaking up. She was already above-quota, but she wanted the brownie-points.

Disposable Captain Trumpwafflite - Dead, used as food for the glory of Apatite
Captain Trumpwafflite had gotten the distress call to come down after the battle had started; he'd been deeper in the Metallia's Castle attending to a rather sizable list of chores foisted on him by General Fudgelite. It was horribly unfair, that list of chores! Especially with how magnificent a person - nay, an Officer - he was. Being stuck doing what was essentially Kitchen Duty in the Army was so completely far below someone of his social standing, his intelligence, his everything, that it should have been a crime punishable by death. Or Youmafication, as it pleased Metallia.
He wasn't saying that his General was wrong or badall the time...just that, well...this time he was wrong.
The Captain had, wisely, ignored the summons - just as his Sainted Father had once dodged the Draft to avoid dying senselessly in a useless war and thus been around to bed his mother to produce the marvel that was he. I'm sure there are plenty of officers down there, no need to concern myself. I'm better suited to staying right here. I'm a thinker, not canon fodder. This meant that he totally missed out on watching so many of his comrades being slaughtered by Senshi and Knights. He also missed the two Royals and their companions wreaking havoc inside Metallia's Castle.
Really. I'm sure it's fine. You know, things would be so much better if we just built a wall around the Negaverse, Destiny City...keep those nasty knights and senshi out once and for all. This wasn't the first time that Captain Trumpwafflite had entertained such thoughts, nor would it be the last as long as he continued to live, such brilliant and inspired thoughts would totally be forthcoming. "The Negaverse is so lucky to have me in it. I improve the tone of the whole thing, just by being here. Metallia is so lucky."
The second summons was less a request and more of a demand, but once more Trumpwafflite ignored it; instead he settled himself at a window to look out over the Rift. Really nice view here, could be better. Always improvements. When I'm made General King, I'll definitely take steps to improve this place. It's so drafty, always. And youma - are we utilizing them enough? Can we do better? And Lieutenants...really, they should be the ones working on gathering energy, while the Captains and Generals handle the Order. That'll leave us to handle the administrative things, to serve Metallia with intelligent pursuits--
When the third wave of "GET HERE NOW" came, Trumpwafflite smoothed his weirdly wispy-but-not blond hair and then answered the call, teleporting to the General Queen Apatite's side. He was about to address her - not as a subordinate but as an equal, when she jammed her talon-tipped hands into his chest, past medals he'd barely deserved but claimed, and ripped out his starseed. There was barely enough time for his brain to process what had just happened to him, mouth forming a perfect "O" of surprise and dismay, before the light went out of his eyes and his lifeless body slumped to the ground...the sound of his own starseed being crunched the last thing he ever heard.

Aegir, Super Senshi of Silence -- Regrouping with Team & Eyeballing Potatite
Crunchbite's struggle in his arms was fairly ineffectual, despite being fueled by adrenaline and fear; it wasn't due to a lack of trying - but the senshi was very used to hauling others around and his upper body strength paired with the leverage he'd gotten made it so that there was no way the captain was going to escape his choke hold.
Even when the guy tried stomping down on his instep. It only made him hold tighter, locking down further and gritting his teeth to the pain from his foot and the newer pains of Crunch's nails digging into his flesh through his gloves.
Thyrmr landed a beautiful kick and Aegir felt the shock of it through Crunch's body even as he was pushed back by Thyrmr's momentum. The captain slumped in his arms, once more the combination of kick to the head and strangulation putting a Negaverse Officer down in a permanent manner. How many more must die today? Carefully he eased the captain's body to the ground, his own aching but not nearly as badly as his heart. Before straightening he took one of the medals from the man's chest and tucked it next to the one he'd taken from Jarethite's corpse.
What greeted tired green eyes was a scene pulled from a nightmare: the General Queen was not only ripping through senshi and knights, but her own people as well. She was changing, laughing in a way that he'd heard while fighting Crunch but hadn't processed. "She's gone mad." This did not bode well for anyone, at all. "She's not human anymore...she has to be stopped." Aegir looked to Thyrmr, then glanced around to find Monty - bloodied and looking shell shocked but menacing a Lieutenant with Ash at his side.
"Come on, we've got to regroup." Aegir reached a hand out to his friend, knowing that if either dwelt too long on the carnage around them they'd not be able to continue. We have to help, there's no other way. But can I ask them to risk their lives? I know it's a suicide mission still... God but he was tired already, in heart and soul more than body, but once he held Thyrmr's hand, the curly haired super moved to rejoin Mont Blonc and Ash. There was a single Lieutenant still facing them and he felt a small flutter of hope that this one would survive.

Super Sailor Elpis
Elpis grimaced, moving to jump back and try shielding with her arms, grimacing at the slice into her right arm as it sliced through the cloth bracers and buckles, the senshi grimachin. An artery wasn't cut, but it burned and she noted her fuku was definately pierced. She didn't expect body armor but-- Benitoite's sudden teleport earned anod of a respect for his retreat before she noted the laughing, looking around before finally spotting Apatite, and the Super Senshi felt herself internally jolt in alarm, as she grabbed Sailor Ferris.
"WE NEED TO GO, NOW! LACRIMOSA! CYBELE! WE NEED TO RETREAT IF YOU CAN HEAR ME I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT - THAT THING IS AND IT LOOKS LIKE AN UGLY SITUATION!
Granted it was a cue from Benitoite, but if HE was running to save his own, Elpis was going to do the same.
Sailor Ferris
Ferris was used to this. To fighting, to getting into a scuffle with a person as needed, and she moved to attack Huntite again when the General and Lieutenant retreated. Ferris was puzzled until Elpis barked in her ear, startling her to listen and look before seeing cause for panic.
The senshi immediately shrieked and panicked, clinging to Elpis as the other senshi motioned for their team. Ferris, for her part, was already shaken.
She had killed someone already, now... Now....
She was losing her composure and she knew it, the senshi making a loud, high-pitched whine.

Glancing to her left, she saw the fight against General Queen Apatite escalating. Eyes widened as the pink haired woman was yanking star seeds from both friend and foe, a wild, crazy look on her face.
Without a second thought, fingers went to their gun position and moments later, a furious tornado made its way into the crowd.
"Twistin' Winds!"
It wouldn't help much, but maybe it would help separate the crazy from the sane, if even just for a second or two.

Lt. Potatite - Disposable
... What was he to do...? The Lieutenant was standing there facing not one, not two, but a huge gathering of people who were ready to kill him. Atleast that's what it felt like. The one he stabbed before (Monty) looked all sorts of messed up... Like those crazy eyed vets he saw around here every so often, the ones who had seen person after person on their team being killed, and it freaked him out. If it was only him and the lady with the gun (Ash) maybe he could fight, maybe he could managed to wiggle away and find his Fudgelite somewhere... But then another one came, then another and he stood there, frightened, stuck in place, but still holding his small blade out.
He was shaking, so much so that if his grip wasn't frozen in such a tight grip, the blade would have fallen out of his hand long ago. And all around him he saw his allies fall. Even that brute who had swung at him earlier was gone, dead on the floor. And then there was another who just... He was strangled and then kicked in the head to death. Gods, what was he going to do? Perhaps Potatite didn't even realize it, but there were tears freely dripping from his eyes, which were wide in awe and terror. Was this really what he had signed up for? The young man thought he was just there to cook, to train and maybe collect energy... He would have followed Fudgelite into hell and back but surely he would have been left behind, protected from things like this.
"I don't want to die..." He shakily breathed out, though his arms were still locked in a fighting position. He couldn't just not fight; if that was the case and someone found him standing here alone when all was said and done, the generals would have just killed him there for being a failure. But he couldn't fight, he couldn't win. And his legs just wouldn't move anyway.
Cybele's magic faded right as the General's neck snapped, leaving her staring at his corpse, her breath coming quickly, her entire body beginning to tremble as she realized what she'd done.
She'd killed a General.
She'd killed a General.
The disgust came quickly, bubbling up with the relief at being alive and a tiny bit of satisfaction for what she'd accomplished, because despite the 'thrill of the hunt' or whatever pretty words she was using... death was still nasty, and sad, and causing it... Cybele didn't know if she'd ever get used to that. Still, this was a battle, not the time to think too hard about anything, so when she heard Elpis calling out to her, she swallowed, trying to push down the emotions, and looked up.
This had turned from the average large battle into something truly insane. She saw the General-Queen, killing as she breathed, eating starseeds indiscriminately... and Cybele had never actually seen someone eat starseeds before, and it made the disgust harder to quench... she was looking very much like the embodiment of Chaos they'd been sent to stop. Elpis wanted to run, which was probably smart... Cybele's chest was throbbing from the wound, fighting more wasn't a good idea, but...
"I can't!" she called back. "Go if you need to, but I think she's what I'm here to stop!" Then, she ran forward, picking up a... heavy book? It was a dead officer's weapon, probably. Anyway, she threw it at Apatite with all her strength as she charged.
Gevuandan, Knight of Ganymeade : Leaving - upstairs now
The door wasn't working, and he couldn’t stand here bleeding out just to die at Metallia's door. What was worse was that now there was ANOTHER power source calling out. It didn't rival that which was seeping from under the door, but it was powerful and haunting.
Turning, he looked up in the direction of the stairs. "What the hell is that?" He whispered before he glanced to the others and started to rush up across the main chamber and up the stairs.
"The door isn't working. Don't kill yourselves for nothing. Metallia is being a p***k and won't open the doors. Pull back!" He called out to the others before making his way up the stairs. His face was cold and he could feel his heart racing, taxed, overdrawn, and his vision blurring. On the top step, he touched his side and looked at his glove, the white fabric a dark red. Dark blood. Not good. Surprised, he held out his hand and saw that it had been shaking violently now. He was going to go into shock.
Touching the wall, he walked over and saw what was happening. Apatite was pushing herself – and at the expense of all others. He had seen Tanzanite change. He knew what a youma was and how one was made. As the General Queen gobbles starseed after starseed, as he saw scales form, he leaned back again the wall before grabbing a nearby body, a bloodied senshi, and threw her at the General Queen for it to barely nick her.
"WATCH OUT! Apatite is becoming a youma!" He called out to everyone.
They had to stop this or retreat. If they stayed here with someone that violent, as powerful, as the Dark Phoenix, then the mission was done.
He staggered over to Valhalla and Ganymeade. "This is bad. If she changes, we are royally ********."

What started as coy delight and amusement had quickly turned in to horror as the general queen Apatite was flying off the handle, grabbing and killing her own people, consuming their starseeds, and becoming a horrifying monster!
Makemake was new, and very young, and didn't really understand the Negaverse yet, but what she did know, as well as her gut, told her that this was very very wrong. Apatite shouldn't be doing this, this was going to destroy her! Makemake, from her place up on the overlook began backing away from the horrible scene below, but not before blood, who's blood she didn't know, splattered across her face. Makemake felt woozy and she soon felt the wall behind her. She slid down and covered her ears, closing her eyes tight and bringing her knees to her chest.
Her mind was rushing and nothing made sense.
Eventually the sounds of battle came back to her ears and she, on hands and knees, began crawling towards a door. If she could escape deeper into the castle she would be safe! That's right, at this moment she was worried, so terribly worried, about her own safety. She had to hide, because she didn't trust that Apatite, once the White Moon Senshi and Knights were gone, Apatite would come after them.... And Makemake didn't want to die.
She might have lost the life she knew, but she still had a life, and she didn't want to loose it. Once she passed through a door way, she made it, wobbily, back to her feet and ran. Ran deep into the castle. Ran, ran, and kept running.
When Skoll killed the lieutenant, he hadn't blinked. It was a strange experience to watch someone die--more so to know it was your own sibling's hands to do it--but in that moment, he felt numb to it all. Too much adrenaline, too much battering his brain from all the energy signatures. Too much to try and watch and make sure they didn't get hit. But hell did he watch that crazy woman devour starseeds. His stomach churned, skin crawled. When Skoll said to stay away...
"...yeah about that..." Hati cast his sister a quick, apologetic smile. And then he was off, trying to get over to where he could sense a damn strong Order signature (Ganymede) and a two knights (Valhalla and Gevuandan). The latter mentioned something about if the idiot eating starseeds was becoming a youma.
"Got a way to stop her from changing?" He tried to get the guy's (Geuvandan) attention with the question, but glancing around at all the s**t going on... Like hell he had much of a shot against someone radiating that kind of Chaotic energy, but once he got himself into range of the General Queen, he called out, "Bay from the Moors!"
And hoped to hell even his weak magic could maybe distract her long enough for others with actual power to interrupt her and put the rabid b***h down.

Magic for lulz:
Hati bares his teeth and snaps down as he speaks the final word of the attack. Within a seven foot radius of Hati, all Chaos-aligned opponents begin to hear what sounds like the baying of a large dog. The baying is heard three times, and at each baying they feel an increased sense of dread. By the third and final bay they feel as if there is something coming for them, hunting for them. This dreadful sensation lasts for 20 seconds before dissipating--as if the creature has moved on. The magic can be interrupted by stepping outside of the seven foot radius, and Hati can only use the attack three times per day, and must wait 60 seconds between uses.

Super Sailor Metis, Senshi of the Third Eye
"Mind's Eye Vision!" She cast her magic quickly as she could towards one of the Generals near Sessrumnir (Tweedledumite), once she was sure Houshi wasn't getting hit by magic, weapons... or anything around there. Three Generals. Three. Metis' head was spinning with the energy leaking off the General Queen, and now having used up her magic, she certainly wasn't feeling too hot.
Hoping the General was caught off-guard by her magic, she bolted in, trying to land a fist to his chest. She wanted to shout to Sessrumnir that they had to get out of there, but that was perhaps stating far too much of the obvious.

Magic: Once the orb vanishes into the target, they would find themselves bombarded with unintelligible, jumbled, and all around random visions of... the future? The visions in their head would come in such a rapid succession that focusing on the present could be quite difficult, though not necessarily impossible. The visions last for 10 seconds.
When the General Queen began to devour starseeds, Carnotite had done her damn best to stay away from that mess. This was insane--and not the way she had any intention of gaining her power around there. Shivering against the energy radiating from the General Queen, her glowing eyes finally locked on a senshi... not far from her.
One that was staring at her.
Her ego fluffed, but it was drowned out--smothered, really--but the rage that boiled through her veins. They were intruders in her home. And this guy was just going to stand there and gawk?
Snarling--none too pretty a face for her, she'd admit--Carnotite burst towards him, surprisingly quick on her heels as she reached a metallic, golden hand for the senshi (Encke). "Shoo fly, go die," she spat, trying to focus her electrical power through her hand into whatever part of the senshi she could get ahold of.

Ability:
A joke shock buzzing handshake from Carnotite is the least of your worries when you make physical contact with her. Though Carnotite does run a bit on the warm side naturally now, all that extra juice running through her systems can be far too easily condensed into her hands, feet... really anywhere across her body. Focusing this electrical charge at any point on her body, she can deliver a wallop of a shock to another body, even through clothing--hers, or theirs. The shock itself is comparable to a strong shock from static electricity--strong enough to make you jump and hurt the region for a while, but nothing to cause remote permanent damage. Carnotite requires 60 seconds to recollect her energy to use this charge again, and is capable of doing this three times a day.
Why had he come here. He should have just stayed back and --
What was that woman doing?!
Encke stared, for a moment, stunned at the waves of sickening energy that were radiating off a woman who was just consuming seeds from people's bodies. Her own, and their own. Alike. That seemed like a problem. A big problem. He was going to stay away.
He turned back towards the woman with lightbulb hair, squinting at her as he tried to decipher what, exactly, she was -- but he didn't really have time for that as he found the woman was quite suddenly very close and -- was her hand made out of metal how exactly did that work --
"OW!" Encke yanked his arm away from her as harshly as he could, shuttering at the electricity coursing through his body. "Hey!"
That was a pathetic response and Encke knew it. He cleared his throat, attempting to look a bit more threatening. It probably failed. He wasn't the most experienced in this field and the Chaos was overwhelming. "Don't start with me!"
Yeah, real threatening.

Lieutenant Blazite (disposable, death)
The lieutenant had been in the middle of a fight with a senshi when it had started. He knew a General Queen was involved in the fighting, how could he not? But then the signature of the General Queen had started to bounce up and down erratically, at least that's how it seemed to him, and as he turned to see her lashing out at people he was struck by the senshi and sent backward - too close. Too close to the General Queen who seemed intent upon devouring senshi and knights, which was fine by him - less of them to deal with.
It was when he noted her turning on their own agents that he felt worry and fear creep up his spine. He wanted to leave - now. The horror which filled him as he watched an officer, another lieutenant like himself, run by her only to be grabbed and have their starseed ripped from them. Watching as they were tossed to the ground, much like a child discards a toy, he felt his stomach churn at the sight. This was turning out bad, really bad, but as he went to make an escape the senshi he'd been fighting hit him again and shoved him right toward the General Queen and her blind wrath. One hand shot out, wanting to grab anything even the senshi. He wanted to pull her with him, maybe offer her up so he could get away, or maybe she'd pull him to safety. But his hand grasped air, his eyes went wide as he stared at the senshi. He had hoped he could save himself, he didn't want to leave his family and friends, he was too young to die and in such a way! He felt a hand suddenly sink into his chest, just as it had not all that long ago, only this time when it exited his chest there was his starseed...
Falling to the ground his last view of the world, as his eyes drifted closed, as his starseed going to a greedy mouth that would in moments devour it like so many others. As his world went black he passed from this world - never to be reborn again.

The first thing Alexandria registered was pain. He hurt everywhere, and there was an all to familiar burning sensation in his chest. He had felt it once before. It wouldn't take him long to figure out what that was from. That all could have gone better then it had.
His vision swam as he opened his eyes. He could make out some things though. Familiar shades of green and brown. Alexandria found himself not really caring just which one of them it was at the moment. Only that someone had bothered to scrape his a** off the floor, again. "You're the best." Alex slurred to whomever it was, bringing his hand up to scrub at his face.
God he was a dumb a**.
It took him a few moments before he attempted to pick himself up off the floor, let alone stand. Alexandria's fingers curled into the brown fabric of the cape-turn-pillow, not wanting to leave it behind. His head hurt as he tried to take in everything, and who was where.
Apatite was radiating energy. It was just pouring off her in waves, and it would have been enough on its own, to make the Squire feel sick. She had to be stopped, but what could they do. It seemed like they were hitting her with everything possible, but was any of it actually working?
"HATI!" She'd stayed with the knight long enough to see, oh yes his soul was back in his body, then she sprinted after her brother. Damned idiot was going to get himself killed at this rate! Damnit damnit damnit!
Skoll caught up with just enough time to hear Hati call his magic, and decided to do the same. What else was she supposed to do, pull him away? No, he'd engaged the crazy woman and like hell she'd let him do it alone.
"Skoll's Pack Advance!" She howled, a wash of magic rippling out from her to those around her: Hati, Ganymede, Valhalla, and Geuvandan. She glared at her brother, falling into a fighting stance.
"I'm gunna beat yer a** later for this, but let's bring the b***h down."
Then she charged Apatite, aiming a mean right hook for the crazy b***h's face.

Magic
Skoll calls her magic and howls. She and her allies, up to four, all gain a small boost to their agility and speed as long as they are within 15 ft of her and can hear her howl. This boost remains for fifteen seconds, and she can use her magic up to three times in one battle. This effect is negated if an ally is out of earshot, Skoll is silenced, or an ally moves out of the 15ft radius.
A sickening, terrible crack as Thrymr's foot connected with the side of the man's head - and then nothing at all as the man slumped where he stood, the breath leaving his body, his head rolling back as he collapsed lifelessly in Aegir's arms.
Thrymr couldn't move.
He stood there as Aegir laid the man - body - down onto the ground. Stood there, his eyes wide, his face pale, and couldn't tear his gaze away from the figure that no longer moved, from the human being that no longer breathed, and he'd done that. He'd done that.
He'd killed someone.
A wave of nausea rose fast and thick in Thrymr's throat, a terrible taste of bile in his mouth. Dimly he was aware of Aegir's fingers closing around his, of being pulled forward, stumbling over his own feet, and still Thrymr couldn't stop staring, turning his head to look back at the body on the floor
He staggered, knocking into someone - another Negaverse, and his grip on Aegir's hand slid, Thrymr's trembling, sweaty fingers slipping free.
