It was rumour that had brought Calab here, it seemed here was zone one, and he wasn't the only person there. A weapon, he could always do with that, as much as punching shambling mounds of stuff was for some people, it wasn't for Calab. He shuddered remembering that it wasn't just the dead he worried about. Actually there were a lot of people here... and most of them didn't look friendly or familiar.
He wasn't sure where he'd first heard the name Harbingers first, before the days became a count down or when they were still being marked as 'I survived another notch' deal or after, when somehow he was again at day one but with a light at the end. Hope. They seems to always have guns, he wondered where some of these people started, they seemed to have an armory in any case. The warning shots weren't a surprise by ow, but then-
Calab was both there and not there when things took the first turn. "Stupid Moz! Might as well bring the Locusts right to us, less we end up slaved to the Demon Dogs." The words were shouted in the mess of chaos that had started, hardly heard over the sounds of screams and shouts and grenades hitting the pavement. Something large hit him in the head and he was on the ground, sight spinning. His eye was hurting. Sound was muffled, his ears ringing. He could hear someone shouting at him to get up. "Look it's not my fault!" He snapped, he would probably never know if the person had heard him, even then it would have made no sense. His feet were moving and a body dropped in-front of him. In all the chaos though it was the voice of their leader that got through Calab's head.
He was on the verge of blacking out, but he's in his right mind or at least the personality that actually answered to Calab. Head pounding. Calab is able to stumble out of the area and time passed as he forced himself to stay awake, head injuries were never fun and there was no telling right now if he'd suffered a concussion or if his head was just rattled from all the chaos and confusion.
Several hours passed, Calab's head mostly cleared, but his vision did not. Then he heard the word going around. For now they had a truce.

So apparently there was an encrypted message that had stumped the bandits? Cool. Too bad he would likely fare any better. In all honesty he was not the brightest bulb in the box, so the chances of him getting the code in correctly was slim to none. Not to say that wouldn't stop him from trying.
