Ariya Post 11
Things had begun and while she wasn't against her tribe she wasn't for what they were doing. However, the fighting wasn't something she could do. Even though she had traveled with Maya she knew now that she couldn't lift a hand against her fellow sisters. So instead she moved away from the fighting. "Sorry Maya.." Ariya figured that the woman she found so beautiful would not like her after this choice.
( Ariya is now out of the meta. She hasn't the heart to go against the Alks or the others. )

She smiled and gave a nod before she headed in to help out. Kalli hoped that Issaly would help too. The young Oban did her best to tidy up things and put things within reach for when they were needed. She took a moment to look around at everyone else in the tent before she went back to work on organizing. When she heard the screams from the battlefield Kalliope stopped what she was doing and moved toward the open flap of the tent so that she could search for her friends once more. "I hope they are alright." She said to herself.

Gael Post 13 He smirked at Kani when she mentioned more dates. Now that he would like. Before things got hectic Gael winked at her then turned his attention to the mob that was coming after them. As he promised the matorian made sure Kani was safe. When one of the Alkidike's got too close he moved a little and struck the woman hard enough with his shield that it caused her to stumble backward only to be attacked by someone else. Gael stayed near Kani to make sure no one else tried to harm her.

Dovev had never been trained to march or, really, to follow orders any more than any other Matori - He was a bodyguard, trained to assess the situation and protect a charge, and that was what he did. He was an independent entity on the battlefield, attacking with his sword with only a basic idea of where his allies were.
His blade met the twin blades of an Alkidike – a little older than him, but it was hard to tell with the size differences between Alkidikes and normal earthlings. She hated him – he could see it in her dark eyes.
Why?
Dovev didn't know why, and he suspected there was no true reason. It did not phase him – he had been hated before and he did not hate in return. He only fought, his body moving separate from his mind as he coolly assessed the other enemies nearby, thought of escape routes, thought of her next move. Perhaps it gave him an advantage. Perhaps his focus on the fight, and not on his feelings about the Alkidikes, let him break through her fanatical style and defenses...
She cried out in rage as his blade hit home, but he knew she was far from down. He brought his blade back up to block her next strike...

---- ”Hmm?” Nuawahn, distracted by the chaos, looked up to see a surprisingly familiar face. He blinked, surprised that a name actually came to mind – the good kind of surprise, like when he found extra sweets in his bag when he thought they had all run out, or when he found a present beside his bed, or when he found a meadow full of flowers in a dark, scary jungle. His face broke into a hopeful grin. ”Tahi!” he squeaked, giving her a hug. It had been so long, and he had been so small when he had last seen her!
”I'm okay! he said, ”I'm looking for my friends, though! They're water-people!” he repeated, ”Their names are, um... Cori and Gale?” Or... something like that. The memory was already rotting in his mind. At least he could remember who they were!
A volley of arrows landed nearby, and Nuawahn cast a shielding spell over Tahira and Chimelu (and apparently Kadriye somehow). ”Are you okay???” he asked anxiously, first to Tahira, and then to the other one. ”It's really scary out there!”

“Nice to meet you, Zuri, I’m Eije.” She offered the older woman a smile. She seemed like she knew what was doing and strong to boot. It was unfortunate that they were meeting under these circumstances, but it was life. The iceling was happy to just have someone on their side like her.
It didn’t seem like it was real, all of the chaos that was about to begin. She just hoped that she would be able to protect her friend.

Returning the nod, she turned towards the pile. She could listen, it wouldn’t be difficult… well, that’s what she thought until she looked at the piles of supplies. She was just happy she could be of some help.
Sensing a slight rumble, she frowned. It looked like the worst had come. She had hoped they could talk it out, but it almost was inevitable. For now, all they could do was organize, wait and help however they could.

Unable to Roll
Lumikani was pleased that she had gained some sort of support from the Mystic, and it proved to grow her strength and confidence in the chaos. As the forces rushed around the fight, and the sounds of clashing built, Lumikani was smart to stay close to Aselia and Neibet, glaring and slashing at anyone who came too close. Thankfully, no one made it through the scruff of the two fighters to get the mystic...yet.
As she felt another presence, she spun around to catch sight of Kiunyki, eyes wide for a second before nodding at the young sister to her side. It was nice to see someone else of her age had stayed behind to help fight.
It seemed she got ahead of herself, for a new figure had approached and attacked the Mystic. Growling, both at the man and the sister who continued to spout out lies, Lumikani darted ahead and swiped her swords at Ruelash, showing her stance and glaring at the man.
"Stand down, fool!"

Amarone grinned at that, before grabbing some thread and needle and nodding back to Aseara, "You just leave the stitching to me, if anyone needs something taken care of, feel free to holler. Oh, I'm Amarone by the way....I can't believe I forgot to give you my name! "
She laughed for a moment, before a great commotion began to break out from outside the tent. Eyes widening, she didn't move back to the entrance, but just stood there listening to the great commotion of weapons and screams. She eyed the few others in the healer tents, before turning back to Aseara.
"...well...so much for the wait."

Lunging forward with Raiha by his side, the little kinfa was surprisingly good support as he hit his first Alkidike. He felt bad for it coming to this, but he couldn't worry about it now. It was him or them, and he was surviving this day.

When one Alkidike got too close she got that chance. Dropping out of the tree, she sliced at all her weak points, hoping to drop her before she even noticed her. Luckily she was quick on her feet and had done what was needed and hopped back into the tree before anyone noticed.

"Some help I am," she sighed, blocking a hit from an Alkidike with her staff as she stepped closer to Gael. "Do you think Nuawahn is close by? It would be beneficial to have his healing talents around if anyone decided to attack us," she continued, taking a step back to look around the crowd for the wind guy.

Zumei Post 14"Thanks!" she grinned at Zuri, swinging at another Alkidike with her hammer. She was sure that she, Eije, and Zuri would do just fine. Zuri was strong after all and she and Eije had been practicing. As long as she didn't get in anyone's way she was happy to help the best she could. Squeaking as a spear got a little too close to hitting her, she shook her head and gripped her hammer tighter. She had to take this all seriously. This was war and things were life or death at the moment! She just needed to focus and do well. She wanted to prove she could handle things.

It didn’t seem like it would come to this mess, that suddenly the earthlings and the alkidikes were upon each other, but here they were. Jawaad bit her lip, wondering why it would come to this… more so when she caught sight of her brother about to go after the mystic that seemed to be the cause of this whole turmoil. It was just a glimpse, but she knew the intent. Her grip tightened on the bow she had on her back as she glanced back to her friends. She didn’t want them to be caught up in her own concerns.
With a deep breath, she stepped away from them with a small smile, “Be safe you two, my brother needs me. We can meet up after all of this, okay?” With that, she darted away, looking for a good vantage point to support Ruelash whether he liked it or not. Hopefully the two found their way to a healer’s tent, somewhere safe.

He loved this sort of fight; mob versus mob... it meant he could duck and dodge behind other fighters and strike and retreat easier... If he'd been in that line that the Alkiidkes charged he would be in a lot tighter situation. But out here? Out here there was room to manuever. He left his group to do what they were able too; he had no clue as to their real skills so ordering them about would be useless... Plus it was more fun killing than giving orders!
