Running so hard, she could actually feel a second wind coming on, her stride taking on a rhythm that eased her breathing and soothed the burning in her chest, some. She continued to sprint, though it wasn't as rushed as before, and for a moment, she could feel some of her old strength beginning to bleed back in. Just as she was starting to feel ready to take this on for another several minutes... exhaustion hit.

Cyndaquil stumbled, but somehow managed not to fall, quickly turning off the machine. She rolled off, breathing heavily, her legs shaking as she tried to push herself up. Almsot instantly, she collapsed back down, small puffs of dust raising with each exhale. She rolled onto her back, little paws on her belly as she tried to catch her breath. At least... she had managed... that much. She felt like she had deserved a moment's rest, before dragging herself onto the next task. Maybe she could join Belle in some of that weight lifting while they talked.

Lelanna's desire to stay composed and able to converse while training began to dwindle a little when she caught sight of something out of the corner of her eye. Reluctantly, her gaze shifted from the Houndoom to look over near the Day Care entrance she and the fire rat had entered, and spotted the very same flame pokemon with a Miltank. She'd noticed them before, but this time her attention was caught because they were leaving the food area. Moving towards the training location, very near where she was. That was no surprise, really, Cyndaquil had made it very clear she had every intention to train, but... it meant that she would have to really keep track of her own progress, and make sure the fire pokemon didn't surpass her. She wouldn't say she was competitive, per se... but she very much did enjoy her position as Kail's go-to powerful pokemon, and as the leader of the group.

Turning her gaze away from her teammate, she bowed her head, upping her speed and increasing her pace, before pushing into a sprint. Really, she was enjoying her conversation with the Houndoom, and perhaps she would slow when she had need to speak again, but with her teammate so close, she felt a bit of pressure to resume her training, and maintain her lead.
Her ears pressed against her head and she lowered her head, tail sweeping down to swish and assist in maintaining her balance. She wasn't pushing herself all out-- but she was running fast, intent on keeping the faster speed longer than before.
Okay, so... perhaps she was a little competitive, at times.

Focusing in on maximizing the training, she began moving from side to side, staying on the treadmill, careful not to step off and hurt herself, or slip, but adjusting her position in minute movements. She wanted to check her subtle agility, her maneuverability, even if it was only in tiny increments like this. At some point... she would have to try and take a note from her comrade here, the houndoom's, book, and attempt the obstacle course. Perhaps when she was feeling just a bit... stronger, though. And less inclined to pause for pleasant conversation.

For a brief moment Spheal looked sad at least until he actually used a move against her. "You're a big jerk," she shouted as she started to back away. "This is supposed to be a happy place with no fighting but you." That was as far as she got as she rolled away, knowing she could find her friends she was going to train against them. Water type verses fire, she'd come back some day and show him what's what.

Just a Reminder
Hey guys! Just wanted to send out a reminder on one of the rules in the Day Care, that we realized was a bit ambiguous. When posting for a pokemon, you must post for any pokemon you wish to give exp to. You can combine them to one post, but if you don't involve a pokemon in the post, say what they're doing or something of the like, they can't receive exp : ) We realized there was some confusion and ambiguity on this matter, so it's been clarified on the front page, and we wanted to go ahead and put a reminder here, to help clarify.

Peeling open her eyes, Nirjn found herself perched upside-down in a tree that rested along the edge of the daycare, her wing still sore from her crash landing more so than from those who'd attacked her. For the most part she'd given up on getting in contact with Avikna, Zero must have decided to interfere on that side.... why? She had no clue, but whatever the case, the bat glanced down towards the ground, finding a yellow slime-like creature resting in a puddle of it's own making. Ertila, the Goomy as it were. Colour Nijrn surprised when the little dragon fell from a passerby Pidgeot. "Er, hey, Er!" Nirjn called, releasing herself from the branch to glide down to the ground below.... her wing of course only good for that. The near-straight down drop left for a hard landing, a rather awkward one at that, but after getting herself upright she made her way over to Ertilla, finding the dragon asleep. "Er! Wake up!" tapping the top of the dragon's head a few times, it yawned loudly before opening it's eyes, sheepishly staring at Nirjn before it snapped awake, a wide smile replaced it's already odd looking smiling face. Nirjn rolled her eyes, and hopped onto the dragon's head. "Let's see what's going on at this joint." Ertilla was somewhat... off put about shuttling Nirjn around on her head, but Ertilla was also quick to get over such feelings and quickly started towards the inner part of the Daycare field.

"Arezu, eh? That yer trainah?" Sunny questioned, tilting her head slightly as she observed Hakuren. Her attention soon went right back to Shion, returning his smile. Then, she realized something. "Eh?!? So ya do gotta voice! Nice tah finally 'ear ya, Shion!" she exclaimed, seeming quite surprised at first, then really happy. Her tail whipped around behind her for a bit. "So. Now we're 'quainted, wotchya wanna go do?" she asked, obviously revving with spare energy.
Pokemon: Dedenne Nickname: Sunny Gender: Female Nature: Jolly; Bursting with energy. Despite her tiny size, she is always up for a challenge against bigger foes. Okay, good. I'd feel horrible if you were trying to level up and were stuck waiting on me to get back into the swing of rping.
Ren didn't care much for what the spheal was calling after him for. The navy fox was quickly out of sight, only slowing down after having put a good amount of distance between where he was before and where he was now. He stopped on a nice patch of fresh grass between trees, catching his breath. What the heck was that god awful sound that had left him? He'd never even heard such a thing. Was he getting sick or something?

Hakuren didn't bother to let Sunny know she'd guessed right about Arezu, since he was pretty preoccupied with Shion. The little meowstic shuffled his feet and grabbed his ears with his paws, pulling them towards his face as if to shield himself in shyness.
Hakuren leaned in to steady his friend by pressing his pelt into his side. "I dunno, what should we do? Didn't really think past this part of coming here... Huh? Wuzzup, Shi?" he said at the Meowstic's tap on his shoulder.
Shion was staring into the distance at what looked like a giant jungle gym made just for pokemon, the tip of what looked like a crow's nest poking above the treeline. "Woah, that looks pretty awesome." Hakuren shot Sunny a sly look. "Wanna race there?" he asked, excitement pumping through his paws.
Michonne kept a watchful eye on Lilith and Jun as they played in the field, but she had also noticed other Pokémon as well. The most notable being the oddly-colored Zorua and a Noibat that looked ready to go to a rave or something. She didn't much care for the others. Perhaps Zorua reminded her of her own cubs back in the forest. The ones she left behind to care for Cheria. Michonne hoped her mate wasn't slacking off. "Ow!! Jun bit me!!" Michonne walked over to the two and looked at Jun sternly. "I....I'm sorry....I'm hungry, and her leaves looked so yummy and....""Bloodthirsty worm....""Shush, Lilith. It's rude to call your friends names. Now, you two stay put. I'll go get some berries for you."

All the while, she kept an ear out to listen to Cyndaquil while they both talked and trained. The Miltank was more or less grateful that the fire mouse was willing to stick around with her, especially since Sweet Belle was often not the most ideal company to have around from what experience she had. Most others didn’t really appreciate her often brutal honesty or her usually two-sided compliments, and even fewer could really stand to hear the storm of swears that came out every time the Miltank opened her mouth. She chuckled softly as Cyndaquil spoke up, saying that she liked the Miltank’s honesty and that it meant she wouldn’t lie to spare the little mouse’s feelings.” Heh, yeah, well, I’m th’ kind t’ believe that every’un deserves t’ know th’ truth, even if it ain’t what they wanna ‘ear,”she said with a slight shrug, gritting her teeth a bit to power through the bout of exhaustion and lift the weights up again,” T’ me, lyin’ is mostly a necessary evil. I wouldn’t outrigh’ lie t’ someone jus’ fer th’ sake of sparin’ their feelings n’ whatnot. On th’ other ‘and, if a lie was what stood between life n’ death fer me, then I woul’ certainly consider th’ option. They do say that if ya lie constantly, ain’t nobody gonna trus’ anythin’ ya say even if it is th’ truth, like that one story or somethin’ ‘bout th’ boy who cried Mightyena or whatever it was.”Sweet Belle liked to believe that telling the truth was often the best thing to do, even if it was a mostly thankless job. As she asked about if Cyndaquil had hung around Psychic-types a lot before, since the fire mouse had mentioned something about it earlier, she listened quietly as her companion responded. Cyndaquil said that she had been pretty much raised with a lot of those kinds, and that she would certainly be an empath if psychic powers were contagious. Sweet Belle chuckled at the thought, nodding as Cyndaquil went on to explain further. She had been exposed to Psychic-types to know a lot of their tricks and how they worked inside and out, although she didn’t have a type advantage against them like her compatriot Lelanna did. The Miltank hummed, quirking a brow in interest as she listened further.” That’s actually pretty impressive, I’m sure a lot o’ other Pokemon out there woul’ kill t’ be able t’ do somethin’ like that,”she commented with a nod, furrowing her brow in thought at Cyndaquil’s question,” Kinda, but not really. Psychic-types ain’t exactly my forte when it comes t’ battlin’ n’ whatnot, but I’ve battled enough o’ ‘em t’ know that they’re a buncha tricky ********. T’ be fair, though, I wouldn’t mind havin’ a Psychic-type ‘round as a companion or a battle partner, so long as they’re not constantly readin’ my thoughts n’ roamin’ ‘round in my ‘ead whenever they damn well please.”She felt certain that this would be a scenario she would come across when she finally met her new trainer, along with the other Pokemon who would be her future teammates. Dismissing the thought for now, she went on to describe her past life at the old ranch she used to live at. She cracked a grin as she heard Cyndaquil giggling, nodding as the fire mouse said that unless she had some sort of job to do, she wouldn’t want to spend her life on a farm either and certainly not just standing around and grazing.” My thoughts exactly,”she said with a laugh, nodding at Cyndaquil’s question of if there were a lot of other Miltank there,” Yup, there were a lot o’ us on that farm, Emmanuel was runnin’ a small business out o’ ‘is ranch t’ ‘elp make th’ sale o’ Moomoo Milk more widespread ‘round th’ region. ‘Course I absolutely refused t’ be milked by any’un when I was finally old ‘nough fer that kinda stuff, an’ they say that a Miltank that don’t give milk ain’t of any use on a Moomoo Milk farm.”Sighing softly to herself, Sweet Belle shook her head and lifted the weights up again. As she went on to describe her experiences under Irene’s care after Emmanuel gave her away, the Miltank flicked an ear as Cyndaquil asked if she had been kept busier then.” Aye, ol’ Irene was always willin’ t’ tend t’ my needs whenever n’ ‘owver she coul’. Kept me busy wit’ all kinds o’ trainin’ against sparrin’ partners, she even let me spar against a few o’ ‘er own Pokemon occasionally,”she said with a nod, humming to herself in thought. She smiled as Cyndaquil said that Irene sounded really nice and quite interesting, wondering if Kail would travel around enough to be able to come across her.” Heh, maybe ya will sometime, she lives in a lil’ house out in Mossdeep City in Hoenn. So if ya ever find yerself ‘round there, feel free t’ pay ‘er a visit, Irene loves havin’ guests over an’ she’ll greet ya wit’ a nice big plate o’ cookies,”Sweet Belle said with a chuckle,” Hell, maybe ya might get t’ battle ‘er too. Occasionally travelin’ trainers will drop by t’ visit, n’ Irene loves a challenge. Ya’d better be prepared t’ bring only yer bes’, though, I’ve seen th’ woman battle b’fore… An’ Arceus, she’s like a completely differen’ person in the ‘eat o’ combat, an’ she is merciless as all hell…”From what she remembered, Irene’s Pokemon were all fairly intimidating in their own way, but the one that she was truly frightened of was that Lucario of hers. Saladin was his name, and he was one scary b*****d if she ever saw one. Although he was withered with age and had lost his sight long ago, he was still capable of beating nearly anyone into the next millennium. He certainly looked like the kind of guy who had taken down many legendaries in his golden years, and he had plenty of scars to show for it. Focusing back to reality, Sweet Belle noticed her Haxorus companion was coming back from tracking down that Absol earlier, and she certainly didn’t look too worse for the wear. The Miltank honestly hoped that it meant the danger had passed, and she could see Cyndaquil had the exact same thoughts.” I would ‘ope that th’ b*****d’s been taken care o’, but I’d keep an eye out jus’ in case… ‘e migh’ actually be gone now, but I’d wait t’ ‘ear it from Ky firs’ b’fore makin’ blind assumptions,”she said with a frown, her brow furrowed in thought. Of course, there was always the possibility that the Absol had escaped again, somehow, with the Rangers still chasing after him.】☆ ☆
