Idk, I just had to ask because the only ones with doppelgangers were Leif, Prim, and Aylin. So far, of course. I knew eventually Terra would get hers but... It was a silly question.
Oh! It is a catchy and fitting name! ... now that you mention it, "aqua shades" sounds like a fancy tern for goggles xD

Okay so I should be asleep but I'm not. Once I started writing my next post, which I need to clean up and see if I have to change anything before posting, I just couldn't stop. It's to the point where I have two full pages of character driven stuff written. I don't want to give all of it away but I'm using the duplicate as a test for Aylin who is someone that relies on swords and such so much that they've become an extension of her.
Also, I hate doing this to poor Prim but she's going to have to be on her own for a little bit before she and Aylin can hook up again. Aylin literally can't stay around after what I've put her through. I just hope it's not too soon for one of us to head for the mansion. Because if it is I can always toss up some more trouble for Aylin along the way.

I was thinking of my next post being Charm trying to help finish freeing Prim from the ice. Since bru ditched her. Think of Kero from Cardcaptor Sakura trying to help her land...the ice will start to melt since DV is gone.
Although I originally said the aqua shades would not use weapons, I think it would make better sense for them to replicate their original's weaponry. Also your other post sounds like you have a good understanding of what I'm teying to do with them. They can only stretch a little bit, since they're stuck trying to replicate their target.

Sounds good. I wanted to give everyone enough to work with, but try not to restrict with too many rules. A fail-safe is that these things won't chase a target outside of Barton's city walls.
I have another painting class tonight so I won't be on as early.

I just want to take a moment to explain one small part of my massive post I just made (Sorry for the length by the way). Dopple magic is the accepted term used among Pixies, Sprites, Fairies, and High Elves to describe the piece of magic Hydro (the character) used to create the duplicates of everyone. Aylin knew of it because she was taught about the darker forms of magic, which this would be, and the known ways to deal with it. The form of that magic Hydro (the character) used considered to be among the darker forms of magic for those who practice water based magic. Each resulting duplicate, while following the same basic laws, is called by a different name based on which power base is used for the magic to create them. Kai is the one who has actually come face to face with them and knows right off the bat that weaponry won't work to stop them as each differing version of the duplicates are pretty much in a semi solid and somewhat elastic state. So things like swords, battle axes, scythes, spears, and arrows (what Kai had first tried to use on the things back before he was a cat) would simply go through the duplicate.
And so when he felt what kind of magic was used we end up with a cat throwing out some very dirty swears about the whole situation. I just hope it's okay to start heading for the mansion now. If you guys think we should wait to bring that into play I can always delay getting there in my next post.
I'll try to post soon, but right now my left eye is being a royal pain. It won't stop leaking and constantly feels like I have a rouge eyelash stuck in there, but I don't. I hope it's only allergies. I just can't type very well with only one functioning eye. Subsequently, it's also very hard to read with only one eye since I'm not used to it and it changes depth perception something horrible. I'll try to catch up on any posts I've missed as soon as possible.

Like I've said to everyone, this RP is meant to be fun, and everyone can post at their own pace. :3 I mean it'd been quite a while since I posted last, and I haven't had much time before now. More importantly though, your health and well-being is more important. I wish you a speedy recovery, hopefully it'll pass soon.

I'm definitely going to wait to let a few others post a bit first but we're getting to the part of the RP where we can literally bring in other OCs now if we want to. I'd love to have ideas as to how to approach the Barton Mansion aspect of things since Aylin very rarely goes there. She's only been there when there's been a Barton wide social even held at the mansion and she's volunteered to help set up. She doesn't really use the thing the way a certain social group does so should she find the door locked and need to knock first or would the door be open allowing them to enter? Also, would them entering the mansion alert anyone inside it to their presence?
Oh and Hydro in order to flesh out my next idea better I want to ask would the duplicates hover around the mansion simply unable to get in waiting for their counterpart to exit the building? Or do they fizzle out once they reach that magical protection? I'm trying to decide how long to play this out.
Oh and how much time do you guys think has passed since we began this confrontation with the pillar and the duplicates? I want to do another Time and place marker for my next post to establish scene and mood again.

I'm also open to changing times if that doesn't work but it seems we had faced the pillar for a few hours before Hydro transformed, then Hydro had frozen Prim. Then minutes passed and Hydro unleashed her "Aqua Shades". Maybe my math is wrong, but that's just my thought. sweatdrop

Having it be early evening works fine for me. I can actually start to work on the next post and really shore up things with it before I post. So if 5:30pm works for everyone else then it would be fine with me. That takes into account the fact that they walked from school to Treebie and then from Treebie to the square and also allows for Hydro (the character) to become Dark Vortex and the recent events to take place. Unless the others think it should be about an hour earlier we can stick with it being around 5:30 when they make it to the mansion. Just be prepared for Prim to get a little bit of a scolding for what she did. Then again Aylin will more than likely get an earful for her role in the current mess everyone is in.
I know for sure Lune (in an un-transformed state) was already well on her way to Barton Manor even before Hydro reappeared. As for how others will be let in, I'm not entirely sure, but I do know that Caelen (Cel's OC) would more than likely be the one to welcome them in.
As for timing, I think 5:30 works fine. I have no objections.
