His eyes widened when Kate threatened him like that, though his eyes softened as he pulled away to look down at her. "You wouldn't do something like that. After all, I thought you wanted me back at work." He said questioningly. He moved her leg to the side and got off her all the same, sighing. "You're no fun," he said. All he wanted to do was play with her, but no, she wasn't that kind of girl. With a dull expression, Nick went back to his standard gaming position: slumped over, elbows on knees, and controller in his hands.

She doesn't want to hurt him,besides he's no the type to force someone to do things like that. Kate sighed as she moved her leg to the side and sat up once Nick got off her."I want you back to work but that doesn't mean to makeout with you." She said quite coldly,the only thing she knew what to do was to ruin the mood. Kate always ruind good moments but maybe it's because she's scared of falling in love again and let another guy take advantage of her."I know that." Kate just shrugged her shoulders before she grabbed the controller."One last game because I have to get ready for work."She said plainly,focusing on the screen.♥ ¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´

At least she could admit that she was no fun. "Yeah, yeah..." he mumbled, setting up yet another battle arena for them. He hardly even moved his thumbs as they fought, too annoyed to even try. Kate won in a short amount of time. Nick threw up the controller and clapped his hands for her. "Good job, you won, now go get ready for work." Without even paying her a glance, the man hopped over the back of the couch and began to walk slowly into his bedroom. After last night, Nick realized that he was developing feelings for her, but she obviously didn't feel the same. He was stupid for even continuing to try.

It's not like she's his lover,besides he has lots of women that he can kiss,so why does he wants to kiss Kate? "YES! I won!" Kate called happily as she threw her arms up into the air but she frowned when she saw how Nick acted,well that's rude. "Hey Nick!" She called his name,placing the controller on the coffee table before she walked quickly to his room."What do you think you're doing? I won." Kate looked at him before sighing."I won't let you escape from this,I won so that means I will put make up on you. Let's go." She grabbed his hand and dragged him to his apartment."And you're going to work with the makeup." She said,opening the door to her apartment.♥ ¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´

Nicholas stared dully at the girl as she went on, rubbing his face with his free hand as she dragged him to her apartment. "Wonderful.." he muttered sarcastically. He would just wash it off the second he got there anyway. Once they were in her apartment, Nick wiggled his hand out of her grasp and walked over to the couch taking a seat. He was put in a grumpy irritated mood and it was written all over his face. He folded his bulky arms over his chest and his lips pressed together with his jaw clenched, he leaned back against the soft cushion waiting on Kate to hurry up and do her thing so he could get the hell out of there.

She let go of his hand and moved to her bedroom to get her makeup box.after a moment she walked back into the living room and placed her makeup box on the couch."I don't get it. You said that I'm not important so why are you getting angry every time I refuse to kiss you? You have plenty of other girls who would like to kiss you." Kate simply said as she took out a few eyeshadows.She picked white,pink and purple eyeshadows. Kate raised her head to look into his eyes."You're a mood killer." She said as she glanced back down and searched for the right brush to apply the eyeshadow on him but after a moment she just stopped searching."You know what? Nicholas only ignored the first couple things Kate said, afraid that if he opened his mouth the truth would just come spilling out followed by a few angry slurs that would only make things worse between them. And then she called him a mood killer, and he snapped. "And you're not the one being covered in ridiculous girly makeup!" he bursted, watching her as she searched for another brush. Kate gave him permission to leave so he took the opportunity. "I do know where the door is, and I'm going to walk through it right now." He stated simply, brushing past her to get to the door. Nick walked quickly out of her apartment and into his own, shutting the door behind him and locking it. Kate was a tease, enough said. She kissed him at the bar, kissed him awake earlier that morning, danced with him last night, and even blushed when he gave her the simplest of looks. Now she was acting as if she was interested in him at all and it was such a piss off!

Everyday they have to argue about something,sometimes it's really irked her."Then go!" Kate was pissed off,she didn't even bother to watch Nick leave the apartment,she could only hear how he shut the door behin her."Jackass.." She mumbled as she leaned against the couch and pushed the box of make-up away from her. After some time,she calmed down and started to get ready for work. She took a shower,brushed her hair and let it fall down her shoulders, wore a nice outfit and a pair of black boots. Kate grabbed her stuff and exited from the apartment,she headed to her car then drove to the bar. Luckily,Nick wasn't around when she arrived so she just started to work and serve people.♥ ¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´

Nick arrived at work shortly after Kate did, wearing a faded blue button up, a pair of black skinny jeans and a pair of brown boots - an outfit that he seldom wore to work. He usually just stuck with a simple pair of jeans and t-shirt but today, he wanted to look good. His shades were sitting on the bridge of his nose to hide the hideous makeup around his eyes and underneath them, his big square thick framed glasses that really emphasized his dorky personality. Nick walked into the restaurant with his key ring twirling around his forefinger, keeping his head hung low. The top two buttons of his shirt were undone, leaving dog tag necklace exposed on his chest. The man walked through the maze of tables, smiling and nodding politely to the customers that he usually saw at this time of day. Nicholas pushed through the doors that lead to the kitchen and took off his shades and glasses before bending over the sink and rinsing the makeup off his face. "You okay, boss..?" A man named Joseph asked in a confused tone. He worked in the kitchen and must have seen the various colours leaking into the running water. "Yeah, yeah." He mumbled, scrubbing roughly around his eyes. God, this crap was hard to get off...

`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ `•.¸♥ While Kate worked behind the counter,she noticed Nick who entered into the bar.She glanced at him for a second and then served the people,totally ignoring him. There's no way she will talk to him or try to cheer him up again,she did the best she could but because of a damn kiss everything was ruined.After an hour,a good looking guy entered into the bar,he sat on the chairs in front of the counter and looked at Kate."Miss,can I please get some coffee?" He asked,his tone was smooth and relaxed.Kate turned her attention to the guy who was in front of her."Sure,it will be ready in a few minutes." She gave him a quick smile before she went to prepare the hot coffee.
After like three minutes the coffee was finally ready and Kate picked the hot cup and walked back to the counter."Here." She accidently placed the cup harshly on the counter and before she could something,the coffee was spilled on the guy and the cup fell onto the ground and crashed. The guy let out a loud high-pitched squeal,his eyes widened as he got off the chair and jumped a little because it was too hot. Kate looked at him with wide eyes when she realized what happened."Oh my god,I'm so sorry!" She called as she searched for a thing to help him,she saw a glass of cold water so she decided to spalsh on him but it didn't help at all. It helped a little but now the guy was drenched in water and coffee. "I-I'm so sorry..I.." She quickly grabbed a cloth and went closer to him,stopping when she realized that his pants were wet."Y-You should do that,here." She handed the guy the cloth. The guy looked at Kate with confused expression before he took the cloth from her and started to dry his pants quickly.Kate was worried about the guy,she felt so guilty and stupid for doing it. She raised her head up and noticed that he actually looked nice,how could she act like a fool around such a good looking guy? "It's fine don't worry,the water helped a little." The guy smiled gently at her,looking at her for a moment then he looked back down to his pants.♥ ¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´

Soon enough, the makeup was washed off his face completely and he was making his way back out into the bar. He had let his shades hang off the collar of his shirt, glasses sitting on the bridge of his nose. He would have worn his contacts however he had accidentally dropped them into the sink and they slid right down the drain. Nick was wiping down shot glasses with a red rag when he heard a high pitched squeal come from down the counter, and to his surprise it was a man! Nick and Ryan both burst into a fit of laughter as they stood there and laughed even louder when Kate was struggling to help him clean up. "What a mess.." he said in an amused tone, glancing at the two once more. This time, they were both smiling and laughing. Nick looked at the mans face and soon came to the realization that it was Luke, one of his old friends from high school. They had stopped being friends after he stole his girlfriend back in grade eleven. With a clenched jaw, Nicholas continued to scrub out the shot glasses glancing at the two every now and then. Why did Kate seem so interested in him of all people?? Especially after that high pitched girly squeal. Maybe, he was overthinking things. Maybe she was only being friendly. But judging by the way Luke was looking at Kate, he had had other more suggestive things in mind and Nick didn't like the thought of those things at all.

Kate looked away as she rubbed the back of her neck,she felt really bad for doing such thing even though it was an accident."Would you like a new coffee?" Kate asked him nicely,she had to do something or else she will feel guitly.Yeah,she can act like a total b***h sometimes but if she does something bad on accident,she starts to feel guilty and bad about herself. "If you won't spill it on me again." Luke said before chuckling."O-Of course." Kate laughed as she tucked her blonde strands behind her ear."I will go." Kate walked away,smiling to herself. Even though she just spilled on him a cup of very hot coffee,he was being nice to her. Kate walked past Nick without even looking at him,in fact she didn't even notice him. She was too focused on smiling and make another coffee for Luke. Once the coffee was ready she went back to Luke and handed him the cup of coffee,this time she was careful."Thank you." Luke smiled at her then sipped from his warm delicious coffee."You're welcome." Kate said with a big smile as she looked down at him,somehow she had a good feeling about that guy.Kate decided to turn around and clean a few glasses."You know,it seems like something is bothering you. You looked very angry before.." Luke started to speak again as he stared at her body until she turned around,Luke raised his head slightly and look up at her face with a gentle smile."Oh..Kind of, I was in a bad mood." Kate shrugged her shoulders."Oh really? Why? Hm...I'm guessing you had a fight with your boyfriend?" He asked,raising an eyebrow. Luke was just acting nice,he was asking her questions to get more information about her before she will become his next aim. "No,I don't have a boyfriend." Kate answered simply,shrugging her shoulders.The two more speaking to each other for a while,getting to know each other well.♥ ¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´

Nicholas continued to wipe down and put away the shot glasses, keeping an ear open to hear their conversation. Ryan came over a few times in attempt to speak to him though Nick just shushed him and shooed him away. It was hard to listen to them over the loudness of the bar, so he walked past her a few times acting as if he was just putting things away. "... I'm guessing you had a fight with your boyfriend?" He heard Luke question, followed by Kate telling him that she doesn't have a boyfriend. Nick shook his head, allowing himself a soft breathy chuckle as he walked by them yet again to his station. Kate was unknowingly giving him all the information he wanted and she couldn't see through him. She was obviously too focused on his good looks. He tapped the counter to get her attention as he walked past again. "Quit socializing and get back to work. There are customers waiting to be served," he said in a stern tone nodding to a few men that were sitting at the bar counter.

Kate said to Luke with a sorry face."Oh,good luck. It was nice talking to you." Luke waved her and then just sipped his coffee quietly,once he finished his coffee he left the money plus a small tip for Kate. Kate served the men who were sitting at the bar counter,she handed a drink to one of them and watched how Luke walked away. Luke seemed like a very nice person even though she had no idea what his name was. After Luke left the bar,Kate turned her attention back to the men and served all the drinks quietly.♥ ¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ `•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´

Nicholas had kept a close eye on Luke and Kate over the next few days. They were obviously warming up to each other and Luke had even asked her on a date, Ryan had informed him. It hurt Nick to think that she was willing to go on a date with that douchebag and not even give him the time of day. The two had really gotten to know each other that one night and now it seemed as though she was avoiding him completely, she was so caught up with Lucas. Nick was helping one of his employees with a few cranky customers when he spotted Luke stroll in, just a few minutes before Kate's shift was supposed to end. The man had a faint frown on his lips as he looked down at his notepad, which caused his employee Danielle to look up at him with concerned eyes. "What's wrong?" she asked softly. Danielle was one of his very close friends. At one point they were friends with benefits though now they were just strictly friends, good friends at that. "Nothin'.." he grumbled, paying Kate another glance absently once Luke sat down. "You are such a bad liar. C'mere." Without hesitation, the girl put her arms around Nick's neck and embraced him into a warm friendly hug. Nicholas wrapped his arms around her waist, frowning even still.
