Roland had stood to the back, watching quietly, touching things was on record as a really bad idea for most hunters and when everyone started to poke at the puddles he was sure to keep away.
When Cass was stunned though his attitude took a quick drop into the bleak, she was a senior mist, she was their best bet in a fight or almost any situation. When they started to carry her towards the pool his eyes went slightly wider.
They threw her in.
The walls continued to move and Roland had to make a choice, try and get across and drag Cass... or go after Finn and Jack. His eyes darted over Ian who had done nothing either, they where both just as guilty.
He crossed over Cass quickly mumbling sorry before following the others.

GROUP DELTA - Kostya, Lucky, Peyton, Taym and Jason
BANG.
There was no avoiding how sharp, how clear, how obvious that sound was. It was coming from one direction.
The bullet hit Kostya, but in the shoulder, Lucky's gun still smoking lightly. There was no light show or magic bullets or surprises. Dark red blood began to dribble from the wound, slowly at first. Kostya's shoulder was easily dislocated.
Perhaps the victim was surprised, an underwhelming word for the situation. Perhaps Lucky would have been even more surprised that he missed. Without a fear shield, Kostya stood no chance, there was no avoiding the pain of being shot at. Without a fear shield, the world of Hunters, oddly got a little more surreal.
Thankfully, there was always room for opportunity. And Lucky had all opportunities to fix his original mistake.

The look Wilson gave Solomon could’ve shamed a thousand men back to their own rooms. Some people just wanted other people to fuss over their safety, he supposed. “I wouldn’t consider that a very smart idea,” he said after a long time, but sighed and gestured for the sun trainee to hop in if he so pleased. Muscles tensed when he heard screams, cries of help. Crunching bones and flesh. It didn’t surprise the death hunter to see Solomon disappear into the hole. Wilson’s expression remained stony, cloudy eyes looking past the other man. “Later.” He watched Milo follow, but he refused to play follow-the-leader.
He’d heard the sounds clearly. There would be no need to intervene. If he followed now, there would only be disgust and failure. He’d seen enough twisted bodies. So he waited right by the hole, occasionally shifting his weight from one foot to the other. Wilson looked at his wristwatch. Ah yes, there it was.
Wilson knelt down by the hole and called out, “Are you going to come out or stay there?”

GROUP PHI AND GROUP BETA
Everything began to cave downwards until Milo, Sol, and Wilson were in the same room. Said room began to shrink, the meat grinder taking up more space. The machine continued to churn and the space continued to grow tighter and tighter. No, not smaller, the Hunters inside were sinking and the thick red blood in the room rising higher, cloistering and nauseating. It rose until it covered legs, arms, chest, and finally mouth, nose, eyes entire head and there was a terrible wet squelch.
Perhaps it was finally game over.
- And the survivors from the beta group, Finn, Roland, Ian, and Jack, just as they passed through the shaking walls that closed with a definite thud behind them, would hear a strange whoosh-
- As thick red blood rained in torrents around them. Several large red figures dropped onto the ground with equal disgusting squelches, human-like figures. They probably looked like Milo, Solomon, and Wilson.
Thankfully there was just one hallway at the other end, lit generously with torches, archaic and dungeon styled. The red gushed all directions, a little spilling into this new territory. There were exactly three prisoner cells on each side, marked by sturdy iron bars two inches apart. Each one was empty. At the far end was a locked door and a sign.
"I have no intentions of dying at all you foolish-- " Kostya testily started, but there was that sound, a sound he knew. Before using only Syntax, before his time on the island, in another life, he had known his weapons. Konstantin could disassemble a gun in five seconds flat and put it back together in four point two, and that little click was the tell-tale sound of a safety switching off.
Slowly, he turned to face Lucky, eyes suddenly wide behind his glasses, the bravado and easy confidence he'd been wearing slipping off of his face. The bullet hit him in the shoulder before he had time to react, and as he staggered backwards against the wall, Kostya realised that what he had feared was the one, penultimate truth.
We are our own worst enemies. There is no intrinsic good in any of us. There are not two wolves, there is only one, and it is hungry.
There was a disconnect between his body and mind, because the mind was clear but his body was weak . The body screamed like a dying rabbit, the body broke under pressure against Kostya's will, the body was a bag of organs and blood left out to dry. Closing his eyes, he wondered where Syntax was, where that strength and protection that he'd taken for granted had gone. Blood bloomed on his white coat, spreading like ink on wet paper. The scream shifted into a weeping, because it hurt, because he was alone, because he had been so foolish to think that Lucky was anything but a poisonous cancer on mankind.
Of all the things he had been expecting-- anticipating, dreading, hoping-- being shot had not come to Kostya's mind as a possibility. Not even once.
He looked up at Lucky, betrayed. "S-Stupid."
It was unclear whether he was calling Lucky stupid, or himself.

Roland was stumbling through as he heard the room seal shut behind him, his whole body shivering cold sweat breaking out as he thought of Cass behind him. Who wasn't going to be making it back after that.
What happened next only made it worse. Bodies, rather, body parts started to drop around him filling the room with a noxious smell and even worse visuals. He moved forwardgrabbing the pair of keys. He turned to Finn and Jack trying to hold back a desire to be sick at the smell around him. "I swear, when this is over..." he shook his head and turned to keep moving down the hall.

Whether or not the others went the same direction as he did, Ian didn't really care. Either they all stuck together and would have to fight each other, or they'd split up and Ian would be left to his own disorganized, chaotic thoughts. Whatever the case, he heard the footsteps near him and knew that Jack, Finn, and Ro, as well as himself, had all gone the same situation.
The walls rumbled - a whoosh -
- and then a terrible, awful stench filled his nose, metallic and harsh, and something warm and wet splashed across Ian's face, his shoulders, his whole body. He threw up his arms automatically to cover his eyes, staggering back several steps as there were thuds around him. When he lowered his arm, he would find that he and the rest of his (for lack of a better word) team were no longer alone. Three others stood there, or at least, Ian thought they looked relatively humanish, though they were covered with blood.
He took a step back, teeth gritted together. The blood sank into his skin and his clothing, making everything feel rancid and sticky. "Welcome to hell, party of three," he said sarcastically, and turned towards the hallway, his feet squelching in the scarlet liquid that pooled at his ankles.
There was a door, but what lay behind it was questionable. Ian eyed the keys in Ro's hand warily.
"You gonna be the leader, then?" he asked flatly.

"I don't know, I'm not a scientist or anything," Sam snapped at Lawr's question. "Charlotte can you be a dear and lend me one of your bandages, I want to see if-"
-SPLASH-
- It took a second longer for anyone to even process that someone had fallen into the water. Someone distinctly with a Life Hunter jacket. Someone was screaming, and without a second thought Charlotte lunged towards the water, unflinching as the acid burnt her skin and nearly peeled one hand raw and then Sam was shouting too as she pulled the Moon Assistant away from the pool-
- But it was too late. Ami sank into the murky water and then even her coat was gone into the abyss.
Silence.
"Oh my god." Sam backed away a few feet, looking honestly disgusted. She sat down. "Who- why-"
- She then suddenly turned to Lawr, eyes wide. "Where did you get that dagger."
There was indeed a dagger, bloodstained with fresh blood, tucked into the back of Lawr's sash.

What seemed wrong first was not the fact that the dagger initially did nothing, but more so the fact that when Abbi moved back it sparked in her hand. A note of pain escaped her as she let it go and she tried to make her mouth into a frown until she noticed where the weapon was headed. It was too late to snatch it back, especially with it sparking like that, and another surprised note left the teen when Mimsy began to scream. "N-no! No no no no--" This wasn't right, this wasn't supposed to be like this! Even though Viveca isn't there, Abbi can guess that she would say of course it wasn't, but that she had been stupid enough to believe it would be. And that it was all Abbi's fault. A strangled note left the teen as Chelsea shouted at her and tried to remove the still sparking dagger. "Sh-she was gonna... She was gonna hurt me! Sh-she ranks higher-- I-I-- It wasn't s-supposed to be this bad!" Shaking hands rose to do nothing but tremble uselessly.
This wasn't fair. She wasn't supposed to hurt someone, just keep them down and from hurting others. That's what the dagger was supposed to do, right? Just keep them from hurting anyone else. Another little cry left her as Stormy pulled her away, the tears she'd been trying so hard to keep inside spilling over when the older girl touched Abbi's face. An odd look crossed Stormy's face, something the girl should have known but only tenuously grasped now. "Th-the man who g-gave me-- He gave it t-to me! He-he said it just stuns!" Why had she listened to him? "H-he said this... This was because-- I don't know! Because they used to be Hunters an-and this wasn't supposed to happen, she wasn't supposed to die he lied to me!"
The words from the blonde boy startled her further and Abbi jerked away from Stormy's hands to back up, clenching shaking fists by her side. "I didn't mean to kill her! She was gonna kill me, I was just defending myself! I-I won't hurt anyone e-else I-I-" With nothing left but an overwhelming sense of guilt, the girl didn't even bother with saying anything more and dropped her face into her hands to cry.

Gale was watching the snappiness between Sam and the newcomer with a wary disinterest, but the splash behind him made him twist, a look of horrific comprehension dawning on Gale's face. Everything seemed to move in slow motion, too slow, and screaming was echoing in Gale's ears as he made a motion towards the pool, his hand grasping at air. Ami had been there only a second before, if he had turned just a second later -
- and then she was gone. Gale stared at the rippling pool, mouth slightly ajar as though he couldn't quite comprehend what had just happened. Behind him he heard Sam's shrill voice, and he pivoted, the flash of a knife catching his eye. Its blade was red with blood, and Gale flicked his gaze first to it and then up at the man's face.
"Who the hell are you?" he demanded, his chest feeling tight. "Did you just - "

As Roland moved to grab the pair of keys and walk to the door, it opened without even needing to be unlocked-
- Ad then promptly closed behind the Mist trainee the second they moved through it. Inside was a room with a lot of switches. There were primarily six each coloured differently: red orange yellow green blue violet. A sign was hung over them.
Only two will lead to your freedom.
What Roland saw at the other side of the switches was the locked door, firmly sealed. What the rest of the group saw however, instead of a locked door and a stone wall, was thick, soundproof glass. A one way viewing room. Attempting to knock, kick, or scratch the glass did nothing. The door remained closed.
Miliardo Kason
Roland is in THE PANEL. He can pull any two colours of levers at a time (quote Zoobey). If he gets the right combination, they can all escape! He cannot see or hear anything outside of the room, but the levels will click accordingly if he gets the right ones.
OOC
You can see Roland inside the room but he cannot see nor hear you. You cannot hear what Roland is saying but you can see the switches carefully. The cells may have hints as to how to communicate with him! You can choose which cell you wish to investigate.

He came stumbling to a halt once the walls closed behind him, hand coming out to accidentally push against Ian.
Then suddenly, rain. Except this rain was hot and red, and smelled metallic and disgusting, though it was a smell he'd come to associate with serious injuries. He closed his eyes against it, shielding his face with his arm and breathing through his mouth, though it was hardly any better that way. Thuds hit the floor, and when it all seemed to end, he opened up his eyes to see.
Oh. Gross. Gross gross gross. Finn wrinkled up his nose, glancing around the room they had ended up in and trying not to think about what had just occurred. It was nothing. Just a little blood....a little a lot of blood.
He barely had time to see Ro move to the end of the room and grab the keys, lips pulled back from his teeth in a vicious grin at the remark. "And yet you're here, which would suggest that you used her body as well. What makes you any better then us?" He probably should have kept his mouth shut, but that was just not how Finn ever did things.
Ro disappeared behind a door, and reappered in a room that he could see him in through a clear panel.
This was not at all comforting. Not knowing what he could be doing in there, what he might choose to do.
Finn did the only thing he could, and began to investigate the cells, searching for something that might help. His box was still tucked underneath one arm, Finn went, investigating the cell at the top right.

The walls closed in behind them and blood rained. Body bits fell. And now they found themselves in a new sort of hell.
Had this been any other time Jack would have flinched at the fact that his clothes were now sullied; he didn't imagine someone like Finn was doing much better. Still, Ian's silence up until then was welcomed--better than dealing with the other Mist.
"When this is over what? You used her to save yourself, too," Jack spat. "You're ******** welcome. Go ahead and live with that first." The guy--Roland, he remembered the woman saying--went ahead and took the keys, and Jack was just about to suggest something else when they were separated from him. <******** cells had to have something. Jack investigated the middle right one. As he did, he glanced over one of the bloodied figures that had dropped in; of the three, his was the only one even vaguely recognizable under all of that.
"Yo, Power Ranger. Seen better days, huh?"

Lawr was about to say that it didn't take a scientist to know if the water was dangerous or not when Ami kindly decided to demonstrate just how dangerous it actually was for him personally. He was still staring when Sam turned her attention to the dagger that he absolutely did not have before.
Whatever there was of the frazzled and flustered act he'd been maintaining vanished in a flash as he snatched the dagger from his sash and narrowed his eyes at Sam and Gale.
"I am in your bloody division!" he snapped, once again dropping the faux American accent he almost always maintained - after all, most of those gathered were Death and had heard him drop it before. In it's place was his proper Mancunian one, clipped, cold and brisk. "I did nothing but get set up. Do you honestly think -" and he pointed with the bloody dagger at the water "- I would be so absolutely obvious?"
He took a deep breath before exhaling, seeming to settle his ruffled emotions. Besides, now we have one down, that's what he wanted, he was tempted to add but resisted.
The accent returned once again, and his tone softened. "Listen here pardners, I'm a gosh darn pacifist."

Milo could have gotten over the meat grinder machine thing, probably but the whole room of blood was just a bit disgusting. Mostly because it was seeping into everything and smelled horribly, and so that was just going to stick around forever. So, when the three of them were just sort of plopped somewhere, for the most part the brunette just sort of twitched. First blue goo now... blood, hurray! This was awesome. He twitched again, trying not to open his mouth least to get any inside (opening his eyes was a trial enough. And haha, look.. there was blood everywhere here too). "Ge..." Man, another outfit ruined.
But there were others as well, besides the blood. Which meant, needing to try to compose himself even with the state he was in, covered from head to toe as it dripped off him. (Because it was a Hunter thing to do, right?) Milo raised his hand in a pitiful sort of wave, spraying more red blood everywhere and then began to shake his hands out a little more. He watched for a moment, someone went off with some keys behind a door and Jack seemed to be getting into a heated argument with some of other guy about something or other. The trainee glanced at where Solomon was (kind of envying him for having that visor) before finally moving to investigate the cell nearest him, the middle left one. With some very sludgy shoes, gah, it was in his shoes. But, haha.. dungeons. Maybe he could also find a towel or something.
