Perry laughed, though doing so was somewhat painful.

"So... we cool now dude?" The crowd was starting to disperse, thankfully. "no more... crazy... vendetta?"

Sally wandered around the Maul, keeping an eye on the hair stylist expo event. She didn't want to step up, even though she'd been invited. She caught her own reflection again and tilted her head. What was the point being there? She had no hair to do over. Still, curious, she wandered on the side, watching.

She dashed off, her heels clicking as she went to Draconia and Glen,"Just a little more.."she persevered, she would make it to the hair appointment on time.

Or at least try.

Tori Underbridge

"You're next ghoul!" She High-Fived Draconia! "This is so hexciting!"

Draconia's claws twitched with hexcitement as she had a seat in Scarie's chair and had her hair eyed by Madama LaVeau's critical eyes.

Draconia's hair was the colour of spun gold, with the occasional emerald streak for emphasis. She blushed a bit under Scarie's attention.

"What is de t'eme of this dance you all going to?" Scarie's sharp voice made Draconia jump as a snip of her hair was removed.

"Oh, er, it's 'Puttin' on the Glitz.' It's got a very retro vibe to it, and-"

"Say no more! Dat's all I need." Scarie's foot stomped on a switch on the bottom of the chair and the back fell down, sending Draconia's head plunging into the sink. Draconia snapped her mouth shut just in time to avoid a mouthful of water and shamboo.

"A snip here, a cut dere....dis one's gonna be short, chere." Scarie worked on her voodoo doll with fevered hands as Draconia was pulled out of the sink and her snipped-off locks fell down to the ground.

"Oh, that's quite all right. I have a hair potion to get the length back. Most of the ghouls at school use one after a new scarestyle or big events." How else could the all the ghouls at Monster High go from long hair to short hair back to long hair in the span of a few days? Not all of them had super-quick growing hair or a huge wig collection like Atomica Servo.

"Mm hm." Scarie replied, not really listening. "Some finger waves here, dash of amethyst dere - I t'ink jewel tones work best for dis ghoul...DONE!"

Scarie pulled the cape off of Draconia with a flourish. Draconia looked in the mirrors around her and gasped.

"Oh, it's perfect! It's...better than perfect! It's FANGTASTIC! I look just like a boovie star from the 1920's!" Draconia lightly touched the tight waves crowning her scarline and tried to hold back a couple of emotional tears. "Oh, thank you, Madame LaVeau! Thank you!"

Rorrim Rory Bludworth

PostPosted: Sun Feb 09, 2014 8:23 pm

Marceline LaGhede

She threw a dreamy smile to Rory before heading on her way. Regardless of how much she feared his mother, she was looking forward to the evening with him.

Rory glanced at his watch.

"Woah....that late already?! I'm so sorry, Ms...I mean, uh, aunt Scarie." The word didn't trip off his tongue as easily as it did Glen's. First off, he still wasn't quite used to the idea of being part of a large 'family' of witches. For all of his unlife until just very recently, it had been just him and his mother.

Secondly, Marceline was calling Scarie 'aunt,' and now the two were about to go on a date and that seemed REALLY TRULY WEIRD.
"But I promised mother I would be back early to clean up before Marceline and I had our date tonight."

"Date?!" Suddenly, Scarie was on top of Rory like powdered sugar on beignets. "You're taking dat ghoul out, are you?"

"Yes, ma'am." Rory supposed he should feel intimidated, but he was used to a very rigid and imposing female figure watching over him. "We're going together to Tombcoming, but first we're having dinner with Mother. In Mirrorverse."

"Oh really, dat so?" Scarie rubbed her chin, thinking. "Well, you pass a message on to your mama, then, just for me, little manster. All right?"

"Yes ma'am, what would you like me to tell her?" Rory asked. Scarie leaned in close, so that no one else could hear but Rory.

"You tell her dat I keep my eyes on Marceline whenever I get the chance, and if she thinks her scare tactics are gonna sway dat ghoul's heart, she don't know nothin' 'bout New Goreleans passion!"

"I, uh...okay, I will pass that on to her, I guess..." Rory tried to hide his raised eyebrows at a statement that didn't make a lick of sense to him. Scarie smiled sweetly.

"She'll know what I mean, sugar boo. Now go, get yourself ready. But do come back and see me before I leave tomorrow, okay?" She patted Rory on the head.

"Yes ma'am, I will!"
Rory nodded at her, and trotted over to Marceline as her hair was getting its final rinse-out of shamboo.

"Marceline, I have to take off. But you'll be ready at 4, right? Just be in front of the mirror in your doomitory at 4. Okay? See you then!"
PostPosted: Mon Feb 10, 2014 2:30 am

"4 O'clock, got it!" Marceline smiled up at Rory from the sink as he left for the Mirrorverse. Moan'ique wrapped her now-silken tresses in a towel and led her back to Scarie, who had just finished with Draconia.

"Now den..." Scarie looked at Marceline's reflection in the mirror, delicately passing her fingers through the green locks. The Skaratin treatment had smoothed out all of Marceline's curls, which greatly extended the length. "You got a lot of options from here, ma petit. Any pref'rence?"

"Well," Marceline closed her eyes and thought for a moment. "I feel like with my dress a shorter style might look nice... and I mean it'll grow back t'morrow anyway."

Scarie nodded with pursed lips.

"But... I do miss my curls already! So maybe somethin' with a little bounce?"

"Say no more, I have just the 'ting." Scarie snipped a lock of Marceline's hair and lashed it to a small effigy of the Loa ghoul, and turned her back to the mirror. After what seemed like only moments of work on the doll, Scarie turned Marceline back around to reveal a dramatic asymmetrical cut -- short choppy layers on one side tapering into a single, thick ringlet on the other, with fringe bangs. Marceline gasped, wide-eyed.

"It's perfect! Oh my ghoul!" She fiddled with her bangs as Scarie warmed up some pomade in her hands. She gently worked it into the short layers, giving them a bit of body and definition.

"Dere. It's done. Now go an' get ready for your date, ma petit. And... don't let that Mary Bludworth get under your skin."

"I won't! Thank you again, Aunt Scarie!"

Chase Q

PostPosted: Mon Feb 10, 2014 4:53 am

With a pat on Marceline's back, Scarie turned again to the gathered ghouls and cleared her throat.

"I got time for one more before I take a break!" She called, drawing their attention toward her. "Who's it gon' be?"

The ghouls all started chattering and debating and Scarie sighed and held up her hand.

"We can solve dis de easy way an' I can pick, or you can act de part of mature ladies an'..."

But Scarie didn't have time to finish her statement as two somewhat larger forms marched through the crowd, one somewhat unwilling. Chase marched her past Hellene and Draconia, and Whinnie tossed them 'help me" looks but Chase would not be deterred.

"She is!" Chase Q called out, pointing one finger towards his little sister, Whinnie, who he had a hold of by the arm, drawing the shy centaur ghoul along with him.

"Can she be next... ma'am?" Chase finished politely.

Scarie stepped to the front of the stage and looked down at Whinnie, then at her brother and nodded once. Scarie then turned and beckoned Whinnie forward.

Whinnie cowed, "Chase! Please. Ah've never had muh hair done before! An' this here's a professional!"

"Relax, Whin!" Chase assured her. "Hellene swears by Glen''s Aunt. And besides..." Chase glanced to the watching Hellene and Draconia and winked at them before turning back to his sister. "If my sister's going to her first dance, then my sister is going to look her best!"

Whinnie stared into her brother's eyes for several long moments before a slight smile broke onto her face, and she looked back up to Scarie who patted the counter of her station, urging her forward. The trembling Whinnie then slowly made her way up as Chase backed up to join Draconia and Hellene where they stood.

...

And before they knew it, a giddy and beaming Whinnie trotted back down to them, her hands unable to stop from reaching up and touching the luxurious blonde and pink curls she now had atop her scalp.

"Does ... does it look alright?" She asked, anxious for some feedback.

Nero de Sphinx

"Hi Nero!"

Nero would know that high pitched, kinda-sorta squeaky voice anywhere. He turned as he saw Glen emerge from the crowd clear off to the side of the maul, carrying a tray of drinks from Scarbucks. 'Minibro' as Nero had coined him, approached his 'big' buddy, weaving through the crowd of ghouls who were congregating toward the Scare Hexpo, and protecting his sacred tray of even more sacred caffeine coffin drinks.

"What brings you to the maul? I didn't think Hexpos were your thing."

"They're not."

Nero hexplained as he followed Glen through the crowd and back to where the actual Scare Hexpo was located. Now that Nero bothered to look around, he saw several ghouls sporting new 'do's'. Or new as he could tell. Truth be told, he didn't really notice whether a ghoul had a new 'do' or not. He just saw ghouls like Marceline and Tori and even Frankie and Toralei looking in mirrors, appreciating what he 'assumed' were new looks.

"I swung by your place to see if I could get my CDs but your mom told me you were here."

"Yeah, the CDs are out in my Glen-mobile." Glen said as they arrived at the forefront of the gathered gawking ghouls. "I can run out and get them for you, but I just hafta deliver this drink to my Aunt Scarie."

"Yeesh!" Nero shook his head with a bemused smile. "Another in the endless line of Glen's aunties?" He chuckled. "How many does that make?"

"Well let's see..." Glen stopped and paused in thought to answer the clearly hypothetical question. "Carry the two..."

"Dere you are...!" The voice called out and Glen started and almost backed hastily into Nero and (almost!) spilled his precious coffin. "For a second dere, I thought you got lost."

Nero looked up as a statuesque figure of a womoan approached. Glen's Auntie Scarie. She reached over and plucked one of the drinks from the carrier without a word and took a sip.

"Perfect." She sighed in appreciation, and then looked up to her 'nephew'. "Well?" She barked, making him flinch. "Aren't you goin' to be introducin' me to your friend?"

"Oh!" Glen started and turned back and forth between Scarie and Nero. "I-I-I ... Auntie Scarie, this is Nero. Nero, my Aunty Scarie."

Meme Pennywise

PostPosted: Mon Feb 10, 2014 12:34 pm

Meme felt somewhat dazed at how quick the process had been for the other monsters. Scarie seemed to dance between the ghouls and boos, jumping from one head to the next. Meme was seated and had her hair examined by Scarie, and the clown was so intimidated she barely said a word.

"It's a bit.. ratty." She admitted with a squeak when Scarie began tutting and clucking as she closely inspected the ghoul's knotted buns and split ends. "I haven't had.. I don't.. I do-"

Scarie interrupted, her voice was as sharp as the scissors that snipped at Meme's hair. "You need ta take betta care of your hair, child."

Meme looked at Ascreama for support, but she was too busy staring in a mirror, trying to will her goo hair into different shapes and styles.

"But I can still work wit it. How about somethin' a bit short an' wild?" Scarie smiled and began to whizz around expertly once the clown gave a small nod.

Meme grinned and felt the magic or was it the bleach.. tingle on her scalp. The clown was spun around in the chair, had her hair rinsed and chopped and thinned and her head was tugged around by invisible forces as her snipped hair drifted to the floor. Clippers buzzed and scissors cut close to her scalp.

"Since ya not the magic type," Scarie vaguely waved a hand to other monsters who could grow their hair back in a couple of days, "It'll take a while to grow back, but if you use dis," Scarie multitasked, finally styling the doll's hair and handing Meme a small sample bottle, "den it won't be as unruly or knotted." the back of Meme's seat jerked upright and she was practically pushed out of the chair. "As long as you brush it an' clean it up good, you'll be jus fine." Scarie smiled at the clown "All done!"

Meme stood up on wobbly legs and reached up to touch her head. "Oohh my bloobb!" She whispered as her fingers brushed on her stubbly scalp. "This is hexcellent!" She called jumping on the spot in her sudden rush of excitement. "Thank you so so much!"

Scarie smiled and gave her a quick nod before turning to the other waiting monsters, "Who's next?"

Sally wandered closer as Scarie bounced between ghouls and boos. Curious, she tilted her head. Everyone seemed pretty excited about it. Without realizing, Sally had gotten just close enough to be seen.

"You dere, are you next?" Scarie appraoched her. Sally hesitated, not aware what she had gotten into "A blank canvas, I got jus de ting."

She pulled Sally to a chair and sat her down. Sally wanted to look around when she suddenly felt a wig fall on her head. she could hear the scissor snips as Scarie worked her magic.

"I can tell ya are a more reserved one, child." Scarie told her. After a few moments, she spun the chair back to the mirror and showed Sally the wig. It was a long brown wig, trimmed around her face and tied in a ponytail with a red ribbon "Dis should do de trick."

Sally was surprised "Whoa." he said, turning her head, looking at it. She looked up at Scarie and nodded as she stood again "Thank you. It suits me, I think."

Scarie laughed, "Not a problem, child. Now, who's next?"

Roswell Grey

PostPosted: Mon Feb 10, 2014 3:18 pm

Roswell was silent for the most part and his eyes were closed. it looked like he was sleeping.... and he was. On his planet he slept for 14 hours in a day but there days were not 24 hours.

"Zzzz.."
PostPosted: Mon Feb 10, 2014 3:21 pm

Well, that was unfortunate.
Perry prodded Roswell a few times to wake him up.

"Hey.. dude?" Roswell snorted. "So.. dunno 'bout you but i'm parched. How about I buy you a soda and you stop challenging me to very... public... death matches?"
