2.0 looked around, trying to find his opponent, before hearing the longfall steps of an enormous wrestler out for blood. He turned around, hoping to catch Matt in time for some kind of counter, but only turned around in time to suck foot down his jaw, spinning him in a circle like a Halo Headshot, before crumpling to the mat in pain!

It's a good thing the ropes were near Kelly King, because Shanahan might've collapsed afterwards had he not caught himself against the rebounding strands. His chest heaved with each breath and he remained completely unresponsive the gasping sounds of the audience after that boot; after all, Matt was known for his kicking-in-the-head prowess.
He stumbled back and turned to look down at Kelly King, crumpled up in the mat. With a cold sneer on his lips, he bent down and tried to assist 2.0 to his feet via arm and handful of hair. If he managed to get the man standing, he'd keep a grip on the man's hair to get him near the center of the ring, before aiming a rough kick to The King's gut!

King was lifted by his hair, listening to the crowd cry as the match went on. They had to have been wrestling for almost twenty five minutes, not counting the time that they had spent on stretchers. How much more could these gladiators have left in their tanks? It appeared since returning to the ring, they'd both hit their third-winds, but time was running out for them and they both knew it.
King was kicked low, doubling over in pain and holding his stomach. He dropped to a knee for a moment as he absorbed the pain, slowly standing up to two feet again, but still bent over.

After the kick connected, Shanahan knew better than to waste any time at all. He sprinted horizontally towards the ring ropes and threw himself at them; the combination of velocity and mass sent him rebounding towards King at an even faster rate. His goal? To deliver yet another devastating boot to the side of The One True King's head. Should he be successful, The God of Punks would continue his sprint in towards the opposite set of ring ropes, trying to build his momentum back up.

King took another boot to head which caused him to whip up into a standing position, but that momentum had him turning and crashing down on his back in the middle of the ring, while Matt never even stopped running. Like a freight train coming his way.

The Punks and Punkettes around the arena, despite how few were left, got up to their feet in anticipation; they knew what was coming next. The King's subjects cringed, for a majority of them knew as well. By the time Shanahan bounced off the ropes another time and came hurtling at King, going at a rate that few thought the giant could, the entire arena was up and waiting...
As he came in close to King's body, Matt leaped into the air and pulled his massive legs straight in front of him. He was coming in for a crash-landing leg drop, putting the period on his patented Punk's Philosophy combo!

King was laying on the mat, still holding his head when the lights all around him started flashing. Pictures being taken. Except the one above him, it was getting darker. A leg coming down on his head.
Slam!
King's legs went up in the air and his arms lay far out from his sides, laying him out completely from the leg drop!

An audible thud resonated throughout the arena and the ring shook violently as all three-hundred and twenty-six pounds came crashing onto King's head. The fans jumped at the force behind the Punk's Philosophy, and even the The God of Punks himself bounced from the move and felt a jolt of pain in his tailbone.
His face was twisted into a grimace, but he pushed himself up off the mats nonetheless. His chest was pumping in and out with each breath; he was definitely running out of energy. Matt took a few steps away from King before slowly rotating his body to face the man. A strange look entered his gaze...
For the first time since his return, Shanahan lifted his hand high into the air and held it firm. That hand had four fingers extended; the Chapter Four was beginning to unfold. After holding the taunt for sparing moments, he carefully bent his body forward and waited for King to stand, "C'mon... You... Sonuvabitch... Get up..." He whispered quietly, yet viciously to himself.

2.0 felt damaged by that lard ******** leg coming down on his neck and head, but he rolled over as soon as Matt had let him. He was doing anything he could to not be pinned at his point, as pathetic as his movements were. The fans were shouting something, something wild. '...-et up!!' '--t... G-- up!' He couldn't make it out... were they telling him... of course...
'Get up!'
They were telling him to get up! King coughed and shook his head as he got to all fours and, for his fans, began to stand back up to his feet. He stood up, his back facing Matt, and turned around. When he saw those four fingers raised in the air, he realized that he hadn't heard the fans as clearly as he thought he had.
'Don't get up!! Watch out! Don't Get Up!'

When King turned around, any revelations he had would have to come to fruition immediately because Matt was coming for the kill. His arms lurched forward and attempted to wrap one around King's shoulder, and the other loop through his legs to scoop him up off of the ground. If successful, he'd secure his grasp and turn in a full 360 degree turn for all the world to see. Matt wanted the world to see that he had King's life in his hands at this very moment, he wanted them to realize that the Kingdom could be crashing down right at this moment.
After his full turn, Matt would attempt to reverse the momentum and sling King around in the opposite direction. Letting go of his legs, he'd attempt to whip the man downward onto his knee and write the finishing note the match: The Chapter Four.

2.0 was lifted up off his feet. It was odd how often he was in this position and yet not often enough to ever get used to it. Being off his feet in such a way, man-handled, was a thing that King's were not supposed to get used to. 2.0 slapped his hands on Matt's back, trying to prevent the attack, but there was nothing he could do once the maneuver was started.
King tried to kick his legs out, land on his feet or something, but he was unable to with Matt's dedication to his grip, as his back slammed down hard on Matt's knee, connecting with the Chapter Four and perhaps the last chapter of this match!

The Chapter Four was written on the pages of the match, effectively giving the tale its last word. A cold smirk crossed Shanahan's face as King dropped off of his knee and to the mat, to which he quickly followed. Not bothering to hook a leg, Matt sprawled out on top of 2.0 and screamed at the referee, "Start counting you ********! END IT!"

The referee wanted it over just as badly as Shanahan did. He was afraid for the men's health. One of them might die in the ring before it was over. King lay on his mat, sprawled out, a pained look on his face from the backbreaker finish.
The count...
ONE!
TWO!
THR--
King's legs popped up and his shoulder jut out from the mat at the last second, the fans losing their GOD DAMN MINDS.

The last time Shanahan's finisher failed to end the match, he managed to stay calm about this. This time, he nearly broke King's back with the move that had rarely failed him. His eyes widened immediately, and the red-hue that covered it nearly matched the dried blood coating his forehead.
"... What... THE... ********!" The God of Punks screamed, despite his hoarse throat. He smashed his fists into the mat and went for the pin once more. Clearly, this was a fluke. It had to be a mistake. "AGAIN!" Matt roared at the referee while attempting to apply even more pressure on the pin attempt!

The referee looked distressed at Matt and 2.0 Matt because he was yelling at him when it wasn't even his fault. 2.0 because he desperately wanted the King to stay down. He went for the count again...
One!
Two!
Thr--
Again, 2.0's arm shot upward, kicking out, and as he kicked out, his hand came up and slapped Matt Shanahan hard across the face. The smack was loud and emphatic, as the fans erupted into cheers at the sudden and classic Kelly King tactic!
