As he watched the Goat flounce off in all of its goat-ness he sighed softly and Endzela patted his head with a wing, "Wasn't your type anyways."
"But...That goat was supposed to be the one," Kettil pouted and Endzela suppressed a laugh.
There was a pause as a howl met his ears. Maybe he was meant for a wolf. Just imagine how bad a** he'd look. He went off in search of it and soon enough there it was staring at him.
"...Hi?" He grinned haplessly at the wolf.

Moving towards the large critter, Mei reached out and touched it to see how it would react. It did nothing at all. It merely remained content on chewing the leaves around her, almost oblivious to the fact that she was even there. Or was it just trying to ignore her, in hopes she would just leave? "Okay, okay, I like you. Your quiet so far. Let me just-" Before she could do anything else, she felt something heavy press down on her foot. "Oww~ww! Get your bloody foot off me you over grown-!!"

The wolf uttered a low growl which only increased in volume as Kettil moved up a little closer to it.
The boil paused his brow furrowing. "I uhh...I love what you're doing with the fur. Very stylish."
Wolf only growled not impressed with flattery.

It was time. Amarus shifted her hands into Rin, her specialty: power, of mind and of body. She stepped towards the wolf at the same slow pace, her Lotus essence flickering across her skin and making her seem as otherworldly as she was, in effect. She knelt at the wolf's side and ran her fingers through its fur, making eye contact with the beast. It snarled at her, and she grabbed its muzzle gently but firmly. She tilted her head, bells ringing.
"Done?" she asked the wolf. It didn't snarl again, but shut its luminous eyes. When it opened them again, she released it, untied the lasso, ran her hands through its fur and climbed atop it.
Oh jack, how did this work? She forced herself to only think of confident things, as she did not want to risk falling off and having a wolf try to devour her. She was a ghost, but she didn't really want to bank on the War wolves not being able to somehow tear her to shreds. At least she could now return to class triumphant, her new wolf in tow.
She was really going to miss this wolf, actually.

Thankfully for the young reaper, she had woken up bright and early. She wasn't in her bed, rather, she was sitting on one of the higher roofs of the canopies, looking down. She enjoyed the fresh air, peace, and quiet that one found in the early morning hours. A robin perched on her outstretched fingers, peacefully settled. But when students were upturned from their comfortable havens, the crashing sounds caused the little creature to fly away. Lacie easily heard the commotion, jumping down from her perch to see the two teachers waking everybody up.
Making sure to tie her hair properly into two pigtails, Lacie hurriedly followed after them. When they began their lesson, Lacie looked for the lasso that she had made yesterday. Considering the amount of tries that it had taken her the first time, she would surely have fallen behind if she had to make another one! But a certain word caught her attention, locating the vine rope at the same time. M-mounts? When they spoke of such animals, and fear, Lacie did indeed retreat back a step. She couldn't handle the overwhelming pressure, relieved when the tension released.
Her hesitance didn't subside, especially as they furthered into the forest. L-Lacie wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea. She didn't want to use force on such animals, not when they were innocent of all wrong-doing.
But if they could become friends..?

"Do you like lots of red meat? My Owl and I hunt a lot! We could hunt together and get lots of food for you and your uhh..Pack thingy, yeah?" Kettil's brow rose in a hopeful manner trying to put forth a calming sort of aura offering a hand to pat it on the head.
The wolf tilted its head but didn't lunge to attack either.

With her foot still caught under the tortoise's foot, Mei attempted to shove it off of her, only to have the tortoise shift its whole weight towards her, knocking her back and to the ground again. "Ow! Ffff--I take it back, your an a**!" She sneered at the beast. On the bright side, at least her foot was free. A little more damaged than before, but free.
"Okay..lets try this again, alright?" Without any acknowledgement from the tortoise, she started her advance again. And I swear, if you step on me again, I'll have you stuffed!
Before she could even get a chance at it again, it started off on its own, leaving the doll hobbling after it. "Ah! To hell with you then!"

Lacie didn't find anything in her first attempt.. so she looked around, her gloved finger placed wonderingly on her lips. Mm..
She wasn't looking at her surroundings, which might explain Lacie's next mistake. Without looking at where she was going, Lacie ended up stumbling over a large rock. "O..owch." But to her surprise, the rock began to move! Lacie hadn't been to many areas, but she was relatively sure that rocks didn't move.
Unless it.. wasn't a rock? O__O Lacie's mouth widened in surprise. The animal merely grunted at her, meandering along at its slow pace.Quote: 6. What you mistake to be a rock turns out to be a large, rocky tortoise.

Hand made contact with fur as he moved to gently give the wolf head pettings, "That sound alright? We will have all sorts of fun! Just don't eat my familiar." He added toward the end.

It was a good thing Levi was an early riser- for more than one reason today. Thank Jack.Getting on with it, Levi did as her peers did and bounded off to the assignment of finding a mount using the rope from their previous class. The next potential mount was a wolf. She almost wasn't even aware that it was tracking her until she just happened to turn around and there it was, a few yards off and watching her hungrily. So much for polite introductions...
Mai swung her lasso experimentally as the wolf watched her. Was this.. the one. She didn't really think so, and she let the rope fall limply to her side.
"Alright then, off with you," she called to the creature, waving one hand in a shooing motion. The wolf cocked its head and regarded her a moment before it finally turned and loped away.

When he arrived back at the class the next morning, Sparrow was quite bright eyed and bushy tailed - theoretically speaking, of course. Eagerly he listened to the instructions, rocking back and forth on his heels. It was early, perhaps, but considering he had a habit of waking at the crack of dawn to go running anyway, it wasn't a particularly big sacrifice.
Especially when he found out what they were doing. And as he searched through the forest, poking here and there, one of the moss colored boulders quivered beneath his hands.
Apparently it was not a boulder at all.

The wolf was hungry, and Fallow was food.
The wolf was hungry, and Fallow was having none of that. Except... well. He didn't think he had a choice. "Ah!" The Púca pushed his hands out when the wolf came closer with the intent to bite, trying to multitask on emulating the same Fear that the sisters had and keeping the wolf from devouring him whole. His fingers found fur, and the Púca nudged the wolf back a little bit with his hands, growling low in his throat at the silver carnivore.
"I am a predator too," He said viciously, "you will not eat me."
The wolf turned its head to the side, opened its mouth, and bit down on Fallow's arm.
Suffice to say, neither of them were going anywhere anytime soon.

At first glance, the tortoise seemed to respond favorably to Lacie's fear. It grunted, meandering towards her.
