((CRAAAAAAAAP I FORGOT TO ROLL DAY 5 QQ)) Candace didn't spend day five trying to seduce a cage out of the good doctor this time. She'd learned what a useless attempt that was, though it was terribly fun to do. No, the cage was done. She'd just do more surveillance to make sure they hadn't lost their target. It wasn't terribly difficult to get some time in there. Their cage was turning out pretty decently. Wilson was surprised. With no moon hunters, he had worried that their cage wouldn’t turn out so well, but now it looked like one of the regular portable cages. It was kind of awesome. Figuring that the others could handle building the cage—although to be honest he didn’t think he needed that much more work if at all—he stood up and decided to head to the surveillance room for the rest of the day. He hadn’t really done much research since the first two days and he decided that it couldn’t hurt to get a bit more info about their target.Day FIVE GROUP 6 Hunter Character and Division: Wilson Hopkins-Death BUILDING: 4 (first 2) RESEARCH: 21 (last 6) Personal Stats RESEARCH: 70 DRILLS: 29 pts BUILDING: 12 pts PREP-WORK: # pts Total stats GROUP 6 Hunter Character and Division: Wilson Hopkins-Death RESEARCH: 128 pts DRILLS: 146 pts [27 (Tori), 28 (Tedan), 29 (Wilson), 30 (Leon) 32 (Vanessa)] pts BUILDING: 93 pts PREP-WORK: 102 pts

Just to try and make the cage extra good and hopefully ensure that they would be able to study the thing that they captured, Tedan decided to work a little more on building for the first half of the day. Then he headed over to the surveillance room to watch their prey for a little while. He made sure to bring along a notebook and a couple of pens to take notes too. At approximately 2:12am the trainees received a text message on their cellphone: Come to room 217.
And again at 2:15am: Come to room 217.
2:20am? Get up and come to room 217 ASAP.
At 4am sharp, Aria strode into the classroom and addressed the trainees who had made it to the room without preamble. "Less than a half hour ago your targets were spotted again in the forests of Deus Ex. Two were tagged with Fear sensors, one of them noticed and is aware of our presence."
"You have your targets. Find them. Capture them. As easy as it may be to kill them, capture them alive. Your supplies are in room 216. Gear up. Go to the training field before 2:30am. Dismissed." Aria gestured to them, walking swiftly past them to stick a note to the door: If you're just arriving, you're too late. Go back to bed or call your teammates.
Well. Onward and outward, you suppose. Those that arrived at the training field at exactly 2:30am would bear witness to a helicopter lifting up from the field and flying away, leaving them behind. Where was it going? Who was in it? You don't know, and at this point you might as well go back to bed.
Those that made it on the helicopter were treated to a ride in the early morning darkness. The sun had several hours before it came up by the time the helicopter touched down, depositing the trainees on the island. They had their orders: search, capture, retrieve their specimens.

OOC: PART 3 OF ZE MISSIONSo you know how I was all "THIS IS GOING TO BE A RUSH MISSION?" Yeah. I lied. Therefore, we're switching gears~ NO MORE ROLLS BEYOND THIS POINTIf you rolled for "Day Six" please REMOVE IT from your totals, both for group AND individual! Now for the mission: I would like every group to make their own thread. Title it [MISSION] 2am Text Message (group members). In the first post, please list the group total at the top followed by the individual totals for every member.
As for the actual mission: it's your choice whether to RP it or roll it. You can even "opt out" of this by having your character sleep in/ignore the texts if you wish.
The setting: a jungle-like island that is smaller than the Deus Ex island. Feel free to make up what the island is like (spoilers: it's currently covered in snow), what supplies you have, etc etc.
To guide you on your journey, please roll 1-20 sided dice once every hour. This will determine what your group encounters (if anything).
I highly encourage all of you to have every group member roll at least once before rolling every hour.
You do not need to RP out every prompt. If you wish, that is fine. If you don't want to, that's cool too. If you're the only one in your group that wants to RP, you can create a solo thread and solo-respond to the prompts.
Ideally I'd like everyone to be done by the 23rd of this month~
ICly this part of the mission takes place a couple days AFTER the events of the snow sculpture competition.
Mission 3 Prompts Your group manages to find their way back to the helicopter. The hunters who flew you in are still there, and look at your group with disapproval until the group turns around and goes back to work.
Somehow your group wound up on a beach on the other side of the island. You suddenly wonder which is more fun to build: a sand castle, or a snow castle...
Your group takes a break. A huge load of nothing happens, except someone shakes a pebble out of their boot.
While searching, your group stumbles upon a waterfall completely frozen. Your group decides to take a break and rest here for a bit.
The bushes near your group rustle, and before you know it a rabbit jumps out. It catches sight of the group, freezes, then turns fail and flees!
Your group encounters a large group of -- oh, no, wait. It's just another trainee group. Hopefully they wouldn't mind that you nearly attacked them...
Your group encounters a creature that you're pretty sure is your prey! Unfortunately it manages to spot you first, and flees! Try again... in an hour.
A figure drops down from the trees, weapon drawn and leveled at your group! A Sun Hunter gets the drop on you. She laughs at your expense, but the situation has left your group on high alert. Add +3 points to the group total of DRILLS.
Your group finds the creature you're after! And by "finds" I mean the creature charges out of the bushes and runs everyone over. Combat has begun! Please see the Combat box below. Because it attacked first, everyone must subtract from their HP the damage the creature did when it charged the group.
The group comes across a run-down building being examined by a team of more experienced Moon Hunters. They rope your group into assisting them. Your group must now wait two hours to roll again. But on the plus side, you can now add +5 points to your group's BUILDING total.
Your group encounters an irate Death Hunter who explains that the noise the group was making managed to scare off the specimen they were studying. Wisely, your group decides to retreat. Quickly.
While your group is out exploring, they encounter a Life Hunter gathering samples of the local flora for research purposes. She gives you a few tips; +5 to the group total of PREP WORK.
There it is! The creature you were looking for, you're sure of it! It doesn't seem to have noticed the group; your group may launch a surprise attack. Please see the Combat quote box below.
The group finds a trail of footprints and decides to follow it! ...turns out they're your own foot prints. Roll again in TWO hours from this post.
You find a plant! Is your group's RESEARCH skill over 125? If it is, you recall this particular plant acting sort of like catnip towards the thing you're after. +3 to your next capture roll; after that the effect is lost. (One use only!)
Hey? Where did so'n'so go? You... lost someone. WHELP better spend the next hour looking for them, you guess.
You know what time it is? BREAK TIME! Take five, reroll again in 30 min.
Your group couldn't resist. You guys are out in the middle of the forest, and nobody's around to see. Who can blame you for slacking off on the mission long enough for a snowball fight?
Is that it?! Your group perks up when you see something duck into a cave. Your group follows it, ready to spring into action. The group's excitement plummets when they realize that it's a bear. Now the question is... do you fight? Or do you flee?
-> Flee! Reroll again in an hour. -> Fight! See the Combat quote box below. And yes, you can capture the bear if you want to... but then the mission's over. Is it a failure? Success? You won't know until you drag it back!
While searching, your group notices an additional party member. It's a Mist Hunter, who points out that they were walking alongside the group for the past ten minutes and nobody noticed until now. The hunter gives some tips on tracking before fading away into the jungle.
-> You may now ALTER your next roll by two. If you roll a 6, this means you can pick option 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8. You still need to wait for the next hour to roll, however.
Quote: COMBAT!+ ONE PERSON generate a number between 5 and 10. + QUOTE WHOMEVER YOU ARE TALKING TO PLEASE~ + Your target has 50 hp. + Whenever you attack, your target will counter-attack YOU for the amount one of your group members generated. + You can attack as many times as you want so long as you take the counter-damage. + Tally up the damage you did to the NPC'd opponent. In addition, please note its current HP. + Be creative! Do you jump on its back and try to subdue it? Shoot it? Throw a stick at it? + If it runs out of HP, you have failed the mission. Report back to the helicopter. + What is the amount of your DRILL? Quote: DRILL AMOUNTS:+ 25: No extra effect. + 50: -2 from all attacks against you. You're somewhat prepared. + 75: -3 from all attacks against you. You're prepared. + 100: ...did you do nothing BUT drills? You're overprepared. -5 from all attacks against you. ie, if the target counterattacks for 7 damage and you have 50 points in drill, you take only 5 damage. (7-2=5) Please use your INDIVIDUAL drill information for this section! To Capture:When the creature is at 20hp or less, you can try to capture it. If you are attempting a capture, please roll 2d20. The first dice represents your attempt; the second dice is the creature's. If the creature's roll is higher than your's, take x2 damage. If you roll higher than the creature, then secure your target and haul it back to the chopper. Mission success.

When all was said and done, the main grounds of the Deus Ex campus had a wall that now housed several vicious Halloween creatures. All in all, it was nothing more than a zoo. Except at some point during the Christmas Invasion, some of the creatures escaped. Others were hunted down by Hunters. Needless to say, by the time January came around there was no trace of the compound that the home team had built. All that remained were the memories, hazed by JOY. All in all, it was a good exercise. It was just too bad that some of the "creatures" the trainees had caught were higher-ranking hunters testing out some golems. Those hunters would be forever shamed by the actions of the trainees. THE CLOSING If you've posted in this ORP, +2 points! If you've posted over 800 words, +1 additional point! In your mission thread if you've written over 800 words there, +1 point!
