"Are you lost in your lies?
Do you tell yourself, 'I don't realize.'
Your crusade's a disguise.
Replaced freedom with fear,
You trade money for lives.
I'm aware of what you've done."

▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀

Felix took the walking sun's comment about not liking to be kept waiting in stride offering her a nod to show the words were heard, but not much else. He knew he wasn't late considering he wasn't standing with a hole in his chest so he just took it as Cissa showing her fangs so to speak. Felix gave the blond an amused look as she returned his nice comment back on him. Turning to look at Kerrigan he gave her a nod. "You look nice as well your date is a lucky man." Normally he would have gave the possibility for it being a woman just to be amusing, but he figured the joke wouldn't be taken well. The compliment was offered just in case the woman needed a man's opinion on her current outfit. Though she probably didn't as he was sure Cissa had told her the same and the blond definitely wouldn't have lied to the red head just to make her feel better. She probably wouldn't have allowed her to look horrible in the first place.

Naturally his eyes took in the dress his own date was wearing and he had to stop himself from correcting himself and saying she was beautiful. She had said she didn't like flattering comments all that well. Besides he knew he looked better than nice. Granted it was the blond that had procured this suit for him. Preparing to follow the blond out of the room as she spoke again he listened to the knock and watched to see who it was. Giving Roland the same polite nod he received he waited for Cissa to say her goodbyes before nodding to the two left in the room again. "Have fun you two." He might have added something along the lines of 'just not too much fun' had he thought it necessary. Walking with the blond to the garage he looked at the keys and held in the sigh. He should have known he was expected to drive. Running was certainly out of the question. "Mercedes it is."

-------Time Skip-------

Walking inside with the blond on his arm Felix remained silent taking in the rest of the room when they arrived. He might have inclined his head in greeting towards Leion like his date did he think the man was greeting him. Their first destination was the dance floor and he placed his hands in the appropriate places as they fell into step. To say he was surprised when the blond spoke up would not be entirely correct. He had expected some manner of dialogue with the blond, but for it to be polite conversation he did not. Letting her finish her initial conversation starter Felix smiled. "I don't doubt it. Spiked punch and pregnant teen moms seems to go hand in hand with prom. After all most girls save this night to lose their virginity for some reason. It's true most guys expect it." Felix knew he wouldn't be getting lucky this night. Unless by some freak accident of course or if it were with a different girl perhaps. And that was also considering the event didn't get interrupted by some anti-mutant extremists or the authorities.

The silence that followed that particular conversation wasn't uncomfortable as they moved some more. Then came the question Felix had actually been expected though it was delivered in a more joking tone then he predicted. While Felix didn't remember using his tongue he figured the blond was just exaggerating a little. Though he didn't rule out the possibility his tongue had slipped in for a moment. Sometimes he did it without realizing it. Letting her finish by fixing a stray hair of his Felix grinned slightly as if trying to size up Cissa's reaction. While telling her exactly what she wanted to hear had crossed his mind he decided to go with something a little closer to the truth. "It seemed like a good idea at the time. Clearly I should think some ideas through ahead of time. Still I can be impulsive which isn't necessarily a bad thing and hey it taught me to never do that again. So I at least learned something from it."

Adopting a thoughtful expression he continued. "Not to mention if I am being completely honest I wanted to see what your reaction might be. And you also took a shot at my ego. So again it seemed like a good idea to show I was man enough. Hopefully your curiosity is either still keeping my jewels safe. Or you manage to find another reason to not harm them. That would certainly make the night unenjoyable after all. Though I might still have the knee coming I suppose." Hoping the somewhat long explanation was satisfying to Cissa he fell silent again finding that for the moment he had no particular questions for her. Were the blond to decide his explanation was deserving of a knee he was willing to except that outcome as well.

OOC: It's not much...

Alphas: hope this goes better then the last dance I went to
location: cafeteria,-Time Skip-Dorm, then prom

Hoshi was content to listen to Demitri and Alex talk and didn't ask any further questions. She wasn't entirely sure she wanted to know what the 'cabage patch' dance was. later that afternoon, Hoshi followed her orginal plan and praticed her flying.

TIME SKIP

"Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeze? We made it just for you!" Hoshi sighed mentally as she looked at the begging faces of her little sisters over the web cam. "Guys, I don't want to dress up for this dance." she protested, already weakinging agaisnt the cute puppy looks. "But you Have to!" Sorcha protested. "Yeah, How else are you going to meet a hot guy?!" Morgan chimed in. Hoshi mentally sweat dropped. "Why are you guys talking about hot guys? you're little kids!" she said in hopes to distract them. It didn't work. "We are not kids! we just turned thirteen!" they said in unison. "Please wear the dress? for us? Nana helped us with most of it." Morgan said, fake tears filling her eyes. Hoshi groaned. "Alright alright. I'll wear it. I'll send you pictures of Prom when I get a chance. Now let me go get ready." The twins cheered and waved goodbye to Hoshi, grinning like maniacs because they'd won.

Hoshi was seriously reconsidering her decision to come as she smoothed down the front of the dress her sisters had spent nearly an hour begging her to wear. She had to admit, her sisters had good taste. The dress looked like it had come from the middle ages of Ireland, though the skirt only went to just below her knees and as was typical with most of her clothes, it had no back.It was black with multi colored butterflies on it, giving it an Asian feeling too. Hoshi licked her lips and pushed back her shoulders before walking into the room the dance was being held in, flicking her hair over her shoulder as she went. It had taken forever to do her hair, mostly because she'd done it by herself and had kept droping it when her arms got tired. There was a french braid winding itself from her left temple to below her right ear, where it tumbled over her shoulder in a mass of curls.

Hoshi scanned the hall for people she knew, and not seeing anyone right away, she leaned agiasnt the wall and began taking pictures with her phone. The twins would kill her if she didn't get pictures of the dance area. Hoshi sighed as she watched the Omega leader dance seemingly happily with Felix. She didn't know if the two were dating or not, but they did look like they were having fun. Narcissa did anyway. Hoshi half hoped some one would ask her to dance. on the other hand, she hoped they wouldn't. She'd never danced with a guy before, and found the idea a bit nerve wracking, considering the last time a guy had asked her to a dance. She scowled as she remebered the asshat. Jim Flanders had been the cutest Jr. the year Hoshi was a high school freshman in Colorado. She'd been surprised that he'd asked her to prom, and had only been allowed to go once he'd agreed to meet her parents for dinner a week before prom. however, the day he'd shown up, Morgan had been using her powers in the front yard and the jerk had scared the daylights out of her, calling her .... unnice things. Hoshi had lept from a second story window and attacked him, losing control of her powers by turing into a forty foot dragon. Eight months later she was enrolled at the academy and life had gotten..... intresting.

Shaking off the dark memories, she forced the scowl from her face. There was no way anyone would ask her to dance if she looked grouchy.

Reggie smirked lightly as she sat down in a chair not to far from Eliot, crossing her legs in a very lady-like manner that she would not have bothered preforming had she not been wearing this dress. She had seen the break in Eli's concentration that she'd caused in his eyes, but had decided that she'd stick around, despite his obvious lie that she hadn't been interrupting. Well of course she could tell. Lying was what she did best, besides being lucky. Sure, it wasn't really something to be proud of, but over the years Reggie had begun to see it as an art. Like storytelling, or acting. And it was useful to detect other lies. A really good liar could tell when others told even the tiniest of fibs, and the short haired girl just so happened to be a very good liar. Not that she was bragging to herself. Okay, maybe a little.

Regardless, she didn't call him on his bluff, instead she just chuckled at his comment on prom. Honestly, she couldn't agree more. It really just provided the perfect opportunity for delinquents like herself to crash the party and spike the punch, among other things. And people were bound to get hurt. In truth, proms were a danger to the population. But so much fun when you were up to no good, "Oh, they are ridiculous and annoying. If you actually go to one intending to treat it like prom." She waved off his offering with a quiet "No thank you," Then she shook her head, sending her raven locks dancing whimsically, "You don't seem all that socially awkward. After all, you'r sitting here talking to me. I mean, you didn't run away or anything. I'd say that's a good start." She would never have thought him socially inept, not at first glance. He looked like the type who could easily pass into a conversation, and out of one just as smoothly. She figured, though, that you never truly knew someone until you sat down and talked to them.

The boy's next comment had her raising her eyebrow, then chuckling lightly, "Thanks. But, are you asking why am I dressed up or why am I still here?" She waved off his offering of soda as well with another "No thanks" then shrugged, "I figured they wouldn't let me into the dance if I was in my street clothes," Her answer to the first question she had stated, and then her answer to the second, "And I'm still here because I got blocked in, so I decided to wait until the lot cleared. Besides, I'm hoping that after an hour or so, they'll let their guards down around that party." She thought that the chaperons, if there were any, would become lenient as the night progressed. They would slip up, miss things. Things like a late comer 'accidentally' spilling a bottle of a very slippery substance onto the dance floor. And other such events.

People had begun pouring in sooner than he had thought, he was sure most of the girls were going to keep their dates waiting forever before actually leaving. Luckily it wasn't long before one of his fellow Omegas came in flying solo, none other than Jacen. Quickly switching to a mock British accent Leion replied without missing a beat. "Oh you know me old bean, just can't wait for prom."

Even though Jacen tended to miss such jokes still, Leion didn't think this one would be lost on him. "Lets just hope it's not a repeat of last years prom, huh?" he said glancing around, the area of the college that the Prom was happening in was spacious, but it didn't compare to that grand ballroom that got torn up at the last mutant prom Leion attended. He stood and motioned for Jacen to follow him to the punch bowl, rather than leaving him alone and randomly wandering off to get some punch. He had heard rumors of punch-spiking, but he doubted anyone could get a bottle past the chaperons.

He poured a glass and smelled it before offering it to Jacen, "Smells safe, I don't think they make alcohol that doesn't smell like alcohol." he definitely did not want another drunken incident to happen, especially after his last one.

"Don't be," he said calmly when Aria blushed then apologized. It seemed though the apparent embarrassment was over as quickly as it started when she just stated that he should follow her lead. He could do that, right? While she talked, he paid rapt attention, not wanting her to think that he was easily distracted by small creatures and shiny objects. All he could do was nod his head and smile.

Christian let out a small guffaw when she commented on him being a true gentleman. "Shhh, don't tell anyone," he said while still chuckling a bit. He hoped she knew he was only kidding around. Before he could say anything, she'd taken his offered hand and off they were to their mutual destination.

**

Three miles didn't take a massive amount of time to cover in a vehicle, even if the driver had not taken the wheel in seemingly forever. Christian couldn't rightly remember it was the last time he drove and, if he were a spiritual person, he'd have prayed to whatever deity would listen that they were safe. But there they were, sitting in the cab of the truck he'd borrowed for the evening. It was quite the detriment that even with what time of night it was currently, it was still too bright for Christian to be outdoors without sunglasses. He took a deep inhale as he shut the vehicle off and went to remove his shades when he'd heard Aria begin to speak up.

He turned his head and looked straight at the redhead as he peeled away the eye wear. He was always decently good at reading people and saw what he could only construe as hesitance in her words and posture. "Yea, been a while though," he said, his words trailing off slightly. He was growing slightly more and more curious the more Aria mentioned that people were terrified of her. "No worries though. Between the both of us, we can pass as one halfway decent prom-goer?". He ended his question with a shrug of his shoulders.

As he was putting away his sunglasses, he saw Aria turn her head and look out the window. It seemed she was ruminating on the possibility of there being 'crazy mutant fights'. Or rather, she didn't want her dress to be ruined in any way, shape, or form.

"Amen to that," Christian remarked when he saw her smile. It seemed that whatever hesitation was there was only fleeting; Aria had given the seeming go-ahead to get on the get on. He wasted no time in exiting and walking around to open the lass' door for her. She DID make the remark that he was a 'true gentleman'... might as well stick true to that. In doing so, he offered his hand again in assistance before locking up the vehicle. It was time to head inside and enjoy whatever festivities were in store for the evening.

Upon entering past the double doors that led to the dance hall area, Christian had to shield his eyes ever so slightly. It was too bright in here too. Some days, he wished for the lifeless, cloudy grays of back home... or to be stuck under some lush, wilderness canopy again. But, when his eyes adjusted, he took stock of all the people who'd arrived so far and noticed a fair amount of Omegas had shown up. Even their fearless leader.

"Hey... remember what you said about hoping there isn't any crazy fights tonight?," Christian asked Aria, "The potential is there..." After he spoke, he didn't make a move. He was actually quite curious to see what it was his temporary accomplice had in mind for them to do. In fact, the only he thing he could keep on his mind was wanting an extremely peaceful evening.

“Yes it was.”, Katarina responded to the depressed X-20 without smiling. Her expression was robotic…Collected in a way that bespoke an earned confidence. Gunmetal blue eyes seemed to see more than he wanted her to. More than others would. Whether is was due to their shared captivity or just a sense of one monster knowing another… She couldn’t say.

She snorted in complete revulsion when he commented that she hadn’t felt for anyone the way he did for the harpy. “Obviously not. It’s disgusting…If I wanted a pointless melodrama….I’d pick up a romance novel or two. There is no place for emotion in our lives. It’s crippling. You’re more durable than I am…So perhaps you can afford that weakness.”

“I can’t.”

Her tone was quiet…Not soft in a gentle way; But simply quiet, as if discussing these things were taboo. As if she would be punished somehow, for revealing anything about her innermost thoughts. Were she back in Rome… She would likely have been whipped for being insolent. The Contessa would not approve.

He laughed when she explained what they were…More creatures than anything else. She didn’t understand what he found so humorous. She didn’t flinch when he rebuked her, and merely frowned. “The monster is the only half, X-20.”

“Anything else that you are…The loving, doting boyfriend…The protector of innocents here at this compound…It’s a disguise. It’s a lie.”

“Their influence…Despite their less than savory intentions…Is the only thing that’s kept me alive.”, Katarina finished succinctly, chestnut tresses stirring in the cool wind… She’d wondered, since the moment she’d met him in the mall, how he would react to a fake copy of his little savior. It had lingered in the back of her mind…Not truly important…But she’d slowly realized that to get what she wanted from him…The only way to do that, would be through the sound witch.

It took every bit of self control not to obey when he demanded that she change back the first time. The only reason she could resist was because the demand was too human. It didn’t have the right markers. He insulted her shifting ability, and she remained stone faced. He was reacting…Granted, rather poorly, and flinging invective in her direction. She knew that her copy of the Alpha Leader was good. Damn good. “You wouldn’t be so angry if my transformation was as poor as you say.”

Her eyebrow rose when he proclaimed that her new body wouldn’t help him at all… And she simply waited in silence for him to understand. Surely, he could see where she was going with this ruse. If he were himself, it wouldn’t matter if the woman refused to talk. X-20 would have made her talk.

Their lives were very, very simple. Want, take, have.

Katarina didn’t bother trying to dodge when she noticed Gideon’s muscles start to tense…Signaling that he was going to move. He was faster than she was by far. Stronger. His metal hand wrapped around her throat, and suddenly she felt her feet dangling. Her hands came to his wrist instinctively as she tried to hold herself up so he wouldn’t crush her windpipe. She didn’t fear Gideon, because she couldn’t fear what she was. It was clear.

The wolverine clone spoke, and she listened…Unable to do anything else as she struggled to breathe… And soon enough, struggled to remain conscious. Most of her concentration went into maintaining Isabella’s form, rather than freeing herself. Every moment she wore the songstress’ skin…Gideon grew more and more incensed. He gave her options…And were she able to breathe, she would have no doubt had some impudent retort.

Refusing to return to her own form…Even in the face of imminent danger…That was answer enough. If he dropped her, there was a high statistical chance that she would die. Either from the fall, or from the resulting injuries. She couldn’t shift fast enough to protect herself. Not from this height. Not when she’d already shifted twice recently.

The threatening nature of his tone brought her relief, instead of fear. The dark taunting words he spoke as he jeered…This was the Gideon she’d been looking for. Not the sulking twit that was whipped by some piece of tail.

Her vision swam from a lack of oxygen, and her hands held to his wrist less firmly. Her strength was waning…Seconds before she would have let go, he moved again. She was able to breathe for a scarce moment when he pinned her body down…She frowned, to realize tat he was learning. Her head forced to the side, at an incredibly painful angle, she suddenly felt three shots of pain to her throat…It reminded her instantly of a male Alpha wolf going for her throat… Instincts kicked in, and against her will, she shifted back.

The monster held her down, pinned her, forced her into submission. The animal. He wasn’t pretending to be human anymore. She felt the claws draw back as her hair shortened, her skin tone lightening… But he still held her down. Head tilting towards him, a small smirk played across pale pink lips. “See. That wasn’t so hard...Was it? Though it took you long enough....”

It had never been her intention to help him with his love life. Only to bring the beast out of him. She’d succeeded in everyway… Anyone watching from a window wouldn’t understand that she wasn’t Isabella in the darkness, unless they’d seen her leave the premises. Her hand come up to her neck, feeling a warm slickness there…Adrenaline kept the pain from assaulting her yet, but she was sure it would come later. Raising the same hand from her neck she pressed a bloodied hand to his cheek—Leaving a red mark.

Words weren’t necessary. He’d likely figured out her motive already… And if he hadn’t, he soon would. Instead of discussing it, she turned the topic as if it had never happened…Sliding like quicksand into the personality she wore so often…The mouthy, however intelligent teenage girl. Not a spy, not a murderer.

“I never pegged you for being this kinky, tesoro. Though, I knew you’d like it on top.”

Glacier eyes slid over the room, taking in which of he Omega’s were there… And which weren’t. It wasn’t that she didn’t trust them not to get in trouble…She just….Didn’t trust them not to get in trouble. It was most disconcerting to feel any kind of family bonds… So she avoided them at all costs, and made her team a Kingdom all on its own... She was their Red Queen, not their mother. It made things just that much easier when she decided that they needed a good tongue lashing. She frowned for a moment when the scents of finger food made its way to her nostrils...

She’d never thought of going to eat before coming to dance. Though they -really- weren’t supposed to leave campus without an escort…The rule were…Hopeful suggestions when it came to her. The sun goddess didn’t really enjoy consuming food in the first place… She’d stopped eating in the traditional sense years ago. Sweets were all that really held her attention…But she deduced easily enough, that like most men, Felix would need fed at some point… Mentally she made a note to fill him with finger sandwiches at the soonest available time.

Especially if he decided that the punch was good to sample. The nerds from the lab likely pulled the same stunt from last year and mixed it with pure alcohol…It wouldn’t take much to put the boy, no matter how fast he was, on his a**.

Her fingers absent mindedly toyed with the collar of his hand crafted suit—Smoothing it down. He must have run to her room to make it on time. He had this…Disheveled, windswept; I belong on the cover of GQ look about him. Which she couldn’t complain about… But she’d spent too long guessing his size and picking colors for him to ruin the essence of class with GQ.

She did not like her time wasted.

Narcissa had little doubts that he had expected much more…Cruelty from her. Her temper would rear it’s fashionable head at some point, she was sure—But if she was to be spending an evening with someone… It would be best to get along. Or at least, give the appearance that they were getting along. She scowled deeply when he mentioned that teenage girls saved their virginity for Prom Night… She knew he wasn’t wrong—But she found it incredibly… Stupid.

How insipid could some women be?

How vapid could some men be to expect it?

“I find that tradition… Moronic.”, the sun goddess voiced succinctly—Somehow managing to keep the annoyed growl out of her lilting British tones. It was good for him, that he didn’t insinuate anything further…At least during this point of the conversation. She might have laughed about it later on…But currently, she was feeling quite the feminist. “It’s beyond the point of moronic.”

She tilted her head and let it rest against him while they swayed to the soft beat, her expression annoyed as she mulled over things that really didn’t belong in her head right then. The silence gave her time to sooth her temper and wash her hands of the apparent idiocy of the world. In the blue and white lighting, her flowing gown shimmered, glittering with every motion. If one looked close enough, there was a faint glow about her that made her seem… Other worldly.

It was mostly popping up because she was pissed—And not exactly caring about hiding, considering present company. It was a Monster Ball for sure.

She waited for him to respond to her question almost patiently—His grin telling her that he was deciding on just how to answer. The Red Queen laughed darkly when he offered up that he ought to think things through from time to time. “Clearly…”

“Since we’re being honest…”
, Narcissa responded slowly, looking back towards him with an unreadable expression… “I’m more annoyed that you did it to prove a point—Rather than if you simply…Wanted to. Impulse I understand...Being used to assuage your precious ego makes me want to back hand you.”

“I don’t like to be used…No matter the means, no matter the reason.”
, she finished with an elegant shrug, letting him lead for the time being. After all, a kiss was just a kiss. It was true that she had a tendency to take the lead…Even while dancing…But she’d learned over the years, and even recalled from ballroom training what the purpose of a woman was. The man was the vase—The woman the long stemmed rose. She would play the part of a willowy goddess for now…If only, because she knew she looked damn good doing it.

Silence pulled through them again…Just as comfortable as the first time. Slowly she chuckled…Finding something incredibly amusing. “Your jewels may still get a little tarnished…So do your best to be a good boy…Fair warning…If you try that stunt again because your little feelings are hurt-- My heels don’t just make my legs look amazing…They have silver spikes at the end.”

The threat was accompanied by a veiled smile, and a flutter of gorgeous eyelashes. He wouldn’t be able to discern whether she was teasing, or deadly serious. That was the way she liked it.

Her eyes flickered over the dance floor...Not so much curious, as she was wary. A large group of mutants in one room, drunk, and on a love high? It seemed like a disaster in the making. Little hormonal train wrecks... But more than that, she didn't exactly...Expect them not to get attacked. "I still can't believe they didn't cancel this thing... If there weren't an obscene amount of muscle here in the form of Senior X-Men...I'd think they were leading lambs to slaughter."

He gave the black clad mutant an awkward look. "Wouldn't you go to an event for the event? Why would you go expecting something else?" He asked confusedly. The whole idea of prom slowly beginning to grow more confusing to him now.

Every time she'd gave him a 'no thanks' he simply shrugged and thought, "More for me." He set down the bottle of Crush that he just finished and picked up another one and popped it off, the cap simply crumbling and popping off without him touching it.

"Well, its just, like, right now, I'm really uncomfortable talking to you. On top of that, I'm pushing myself to try and keep the tremble from my voice." As he spoke, his eyes never met her, nor her figure. Just to the ground behind her. "When I'm in a room full of people my anxiety kicks in.. I get really claustrophobic, jittery, and nervous. And if I let it ride too much, I'll start freaking out." Telling her these things alone made him really nervous. He felt exposed telling others about himself, especially his issues.

The nervous magnetokinetic finally made eye contact with Reggie, with an eyebrow raised. "So it's safe to assume you're one of the trouble makers you spoke of?" He said, laughing inside.

It baffled him, why go to an event and change it? It was like trying to take over another country or something. Go somewhere, change it's functioning and social settings entirely.

"There's a plan B but that was only designed if I embarass myself." he replied, poking fun at himself. "I figured if you embarass yourself I ditch you with the good ol "You want something to drink." technique, get a dance in with someone else, hop back in the car when you weren't looking, drive back to the mansion....It's not set in stone yet, I'm creating more ideas as we, as we go." But the Playboy didn't forget about their real backup plan. He gave her a quick reminder before they would go into the abyss that was called "Prom Night. "If things go bad we head back home and kick it, burn the rest of the night with some movies."Dimitri sofly brought his date closer to him as they graced the winter wonderland called prom. His caramel eyes widened as they took in everything around Dimitri's environment. The playboy was aware that the Mansion had bank; otherwise their bank accounts wouldn't be getting loaded up every month. But Dimitri had to admit that the setting wasn't bad at all. It was still "prom" though so it wasn't like it was a suprise that they made everything fancy for this night. When the chameleon and Playboy made their entrance, there were one or two people that stuck out from the rest of the teens and such; Bella for one, who was chaperoning the place? Instead of being Gideon's date? That was weird already, since the Playboy didn't see Gideon anywhere; perhaps he was running late, or what Dimitri really thought was true. Narcissa was also here and her date, the guy with the 5pm shadow. "Wow he managed to pull Narcissa..gotta give him props." Other than that there were still a lot of people who haven't made it yet. "So one of your teammates had the stones to ask Narcissa out? Or did she threaten to burn him as well? Either way if things went down like they did last time at the intro to the new guys on the team, Plan B may have to be initiated."

It was hard to forget it when Dimitri's date's boss introduced her patella to an Alpha's groin. Plus the scene that what's her face pulled afterwards. Dimitri was just being on his guard, along with his pal Roland; too bad Dimitri didn't know about his little situation. The Playboy would give a wave to Hoshi whenever they would come into view, telling Daylia that she came as well. He would also do this to more people that he knew';givng them the classic "heads up".

Since Dimitri already ate he wasn't going to be scarfing down on food anytime school. Sure some strawberries or fruit but it wouldn't be his dinner. That left the option of dancing and continuing to get to know one another. Both of those could be accomplished at once on the dance floor which would have been more romantic than sitting down and talking followed by some dancing. The Playboy figured that given the setting, the slow music and the lack of eyes watching on them, they had a chance to save Daylia from embarassment. "Do you want to dance? The music's slow, and nobody's pratically here yet. So if you embarass yourself nobody would know of the travesty that went down."

After a while, most of the prom attendees had gone already. It wasn't all that busy down front, and Vee was getting bored of watching an empty, dark lawn. She crossed the hall and entered her room, throwing her water bottle on the bed. She'll get it later and put it somewhere else - providing she won't forget about it and accidentally lie down on it.

Vee scanned her room with a critical eye. It wasn't much. A desk, a bed, a laptop, a dresser. That was basically it. She knew she couldn't have expected much from a school dorm, but she was just so used to her room back home. It wasn't really decorated all that much, but it was ... home. Which, she knew, she could never go back to.

Vee shook her head. It didn't help brooding over her past life. She needed something to do. She couldn't waste the whole night just feeling sorry for herself. And the one thing that made her happy... Vee opened her luggage bag, containing most of her trinkets and belongings. She didn't really think that they would stay safe out in the open, even if she did have a room all to herself. At least, for the moment, she had the room all to herself.

She took out a couple pieces of sheet music and looked over it quickly. She'd played it enough times; it was her favorite piano piece. She just looked over it once more to check the dynamics and whatnot. Then, she got up and left the room. Again, as she walked down the hallway, she stayed close to the wall, the one that was mostly in shadow. She walked with purpose down the main hall to the music room. As she walked up, she realized that it wasn't empty. At the doorway stood a girl with blonde hair, [Alexandra] around her age. She was dressed for the prom, wearing a modest coral dress. Why she wasn't at the prom already, Vee didn't know. Lost her date, maybe?

Then, another girl [Lillian] strode up. Vee only caught a flash of brown hair and a red skirt before the girl turned sharply into the music room and disappeared from view. Vee stayed by the wall, hair partly covering her face, listening silently. One person said a few words, then footsteps. Vee heard a dull thud and a short word of protest. Then the brown-haired girl strode out, with a blonde-haired girl [Aurelie] in tow. The blonde was surprisingly pretty. She was being dragged by her belt-loop. Vee scrunched up her face. She wondered how that felt. She looked at the ground as the two passed her, and quickly walked into the the music room. Then she looked up, right into the eyes of the girl wearing the coral dress. Vee remained emotionless, though inside she was fighting down a cry of surprise. Silently, she put her head back down and walked over to the music stands, and waited until the girl left. She wasn't comfortable playing music when there was someone around.

Anthony "Graviton" Callahan
Omega
Gravitational Manipulation
User Image
The inky black sky was specked with stars, and the moon shone across the tree line, giving it an eerie gray glow. Sometimes, this is where Anthony Callahan felt most at home, gliding among the heavens with ease. It was so peaceful here; there was no debate for or against mutants, nothing to trouble his young teenaged mind. The atmosphere was so quiet… the sky did not care of its residents below on the earth. And sometimes, Tony didn’t care either. Or, at least, he wished he could stop caring. There was so much stuff going on in the world… stuff he used to care about. Since his fall from grace, however, he didn’t really know what to believe in. So instead, Tony chose not to care.

It seemed simple, really. The only tough part was that he was at a school where people did nothing but care about the stupid mutant debate. A small twinge of him regretted letting his parents talk him into coming to the Xavier Institute, but then again, it was really the best thing to do at the time. After all, he had an entire city after him… it would be a bit hard to live as he had before. He needed to get away, go somewhere safe… that is, if you called this place safe. When he had arrived here, he had heard about the mall riot, who was involved, and who was nearly eviscerated. Safe? Hardly.

With a hefty sigh, Tony realized that it was probably time to head back down. The night air was getting colder, and at the altitude he was flying, he didn’t want to freeze to death. Directing his gravitational nexus in a steady descent towards the ground, it was no time before his shoes were touching the soft grass of the Xavier lawn once again. As he walked back up to the mansion, he noticed a lot of classically-clad people leaving the premises. Oh yes… it was prom. Something he had totally forgotten about… and really could care less. He didn’t really know anyone here yet, so why waste his time, right?

The mansion was surprisingly empty with all of the students gone at prom; just the way he liked it. Quiet and undisturbing. Maybe he could finally get some reading done. There seemed to be some other students about though; voices from the music room proved that there were still indeed a few people that wouldn’t be making it to prom. Although, the woman in a red dress (Lillian) dragging out a blonde (Aurelie) from the music saying something about her having to go would prove otherwise. Curious, he took a small peek into the music room. There was another blonde girl (Alex), one who seemed ready for prom, and then a brunette (Vee) who did not. Hm. So it looked like he wasn’t the only one not attending this event after all.

“Prom, huh?” asked Tony, a rather stupid question if one were to have asked him. The statement was mostly directed to the blonde who seemed like she was ready to go (Alex). “Have fun… and don’t trip or anything.”

"Not to me it wasn't. Maybe you see it that way be I don't." Gideon said to Kat's response to his replay about his earlier comment about being able to take a life wasn't a compliment to himself. And really it wasn't anything like that. It was comments like that which always left him truly curious what made her want out away from HYDRA so bad. Sure there were beatings and othe nasty things there. Kat over all seems to like what HYDRA made of her over all.

Gideon just did not get it. Her comments on his where he said she hadn't felt for anyone like he did for Bella. Madame HYDRA really did a number on her. Gideon was supposed to be this emotionless monster only able to know hate rage and calm was able to find love. Which to him was a huge surprise in all honesty he never thought himself capable of the feeling. But he was proven wrong. Though her last comment on it being crippling was hard to dispute given his current state. Even so he couldn't say he would trade that time for anything. Even though it hurts right now Bella still holds his heart firmly.

"If you can't afford it Kat. Then you need to be somewhere alone. Here at the Academy around so many people. You may find yourself unable to stop yourself for feeling like that for someone."

He couldn't get why she was so sunk in to the lessons of HYDRA and yet want so much to be away from them. Something and someone was found at the academy that wouldn't of been found anywhere else he was sure. In this place Gideon found someone he truly loved, learned there was a place for him in this world and that he wasn't just the monster. "If the monster is the true self. Then I prefer and will continue the lie. And you only believe that about it because they were the ones that got to you first. If you had grown up here at Xavier's you would have the tools to survive just fine. HYDRA isn't the only ones who know how to teach a person that."

The wind would pick up at moments moving his hair about and into his face alot. As he brushed the hair from his face his mood darkend and his anger rose. His body rejected seeing her like that. With any features that belonged to his Bella. Her refusal to change back even though she showed submission was agrivating. "I would be angry even if you only took on part of her appearence. Even if just her eyes or her hair. You as any part of her is wrong. Every part of me thinks so." His words were laced in anger and frustration. But he stressed the words every part so she would know even the monster half she thought so much of hated it.

Kat would never understand that things worked differently when it involves someone you love, even if that love was only a tenth as strong as his for Bella. When apart from Bella he just never feels whole. He tried to leave once thinking it for her own good after HYDRA found him. Yeah that didn't last long before he was fully back at the academy and by her side once again. It hurt to much to be apart.

Then he couldn't stop it anymore. As easy as it is for Bella to calm his other side, Kat seemed to be able to tug just the right things to infuriate that beast with in. So inside the beast was given slack to come out. But Gideon still had wanted to attempt to keep things in check. One couldn't afford to completely lose it.

That was how Kat ended up dangling from the roof with her throat clinched firmly in his grasp. Her hands wrapped around his wrist as she struggled to both hold herself up and to breath.

As he had threatened and spoke to her. He could see her body struggle. It wasn't hard to tell when she was more fighting to stay concious then anything else. The girl never even tried to speak or anything but fight to remain consious to stay in Bella's form. Even if it was a clear evidence of how well trainded HYDRA made her. All it did was serve to infurriate him even more.

Here was this girl who claimed to see him as Alpha as her leader. Yet when given an command she wouldn't follow. She even bared her neck earlier to him in a sign of submission. Yet here she was still in that form dangling from his out stretched arm off the side of the roof, still she refused to change. Her grip was weakening her hold on this world failing. If he kept it up she would die there in his out stretched hand. But it wouldn't be enough to kill her not that he would say that now to her. No no he would make her do as he said.

Then he changed things moving and pinning her to the roof. With her head held at an odd most likely painful angle he pressed his opposite hand to her. With the threat of his claws now a clear and present danger to her he gave the command once more. It was as if her body agreed of it's own accord. His demeanor didn't change right away. But as her form shifted back his hold on her was lessened.

Gideon didn't respond to her with words or even think that there might of been other watching he didn't care at the moment. Her response was simply a deep growl that would probably unsettle even the most steeled resolves. It annoyied him that this whole thing was really about her getting the monster out. And she got her wish though it did almost cost her, her very life.

He wiped her blood from his cheek that she wiped there. On his darker skin one would be hard pressed to tell it had ever been there. Now that he had gotten what he wanted from her and she now laid there in her own form Gideon let her go and moved away from her.

Like normal for them he just stood there as if her comment about him being a kink fell on deaf ears. Gideon just stood there on the roof looking out over the sprawling landscape that was the grounds of the academy. The place was quiet thanks to a good portion of the place off at Frontier for the prom. But there was one other thing Kat's actions did. They rooted even more into his feelings of not belonging. Normally he felt secure in his place here thanks to Isabella. But with that part of his life in question his mind started to question everything.

Including one thought he tried hard not to allow into his mind. Why HYDRA had left him alone so easily after the one encounter here. And one idea it brought back was one that left a bad taste in his mouth. HYDRA could of been already working on or even created one or even more like him. He wasn't sure if they would look exactly the same or not. But they had the process worked once and since they still had all the research and easily the funding. Gideon hated the thought but there could be a lab out there that held more like him. The only odd if good in some way, it would mean Gideon just might have in an odd way family out there. The closest thing to biological family he had now was Logan not that the two acted like it or talked about it.

After a time Gideon knew Kat was still there and hadn't slinked off. He knew the girl would still be enjoying what she had accomplished moments earlier. "Kat never do that again. If you truly believe in this alpha concept of yours. Then do as I say and never change back into Isabella ever again." His voice was even and calm erieily similar to how he sounded when he spoke to her as he dangled her over the edge of the roof.

His lips pursed together at the side, and the cowboy shook his head once to insinuate the negative. “Relax, doll. It's just me.” He said, hoping that it'd revitalize some of the old spirit he remembered her having. “It's not like you've failed Logan's class or anything.” Always, she'd been her harshest critic... Obviously that had still not changed.

Though, as quickly as the wince had come, it left her expression, allowing her to chuckle when he mentioned that cowboys were indeed far better than any knight in shiny armor. “Except speed, mobility and a lack of rust.” He countered, one eyebrow climbing higher than the other, as if to challenge her to say it wasn't true.

The surprise she gave him when he called her doll was puzzling – had she forgotten so easily his favorite pet name for her? Jimminy Christmas, it had been a while since he'd been on campus long enough to haunt her. And when he had managed to find the time, something had come up on her side. Regrettable, really.

Peering down at her, his signature lopsided grin stilled his features, marking him the exact way it had before – years ago. “Now Miss Stone, ” He started, closing his eyes to help in making him appear cross, ”When have I ever treated you like anything but a lady? Is that not the truest deed of a proper gentleman?” Blake asked, stifling a chuckle in his throat before it could reach her too sensitive ears. Granted, he knew he normally wasn't; he lacked the comportment to truly be the face of chivalry in the twenty-second century. But he was as real as most would get.

Sobering, his blue eyes searched her green ones as he made every feature on his face blank, deadpan. ”I did too.” He said, trying to make one eye look glassy, as though it'd truly hurt his feelings that they'd never made it to dinner with each other. “And I'd reserved one of the booths for us, so it was sad just sitting there with such a big table to myself.” What she didn't need to know that it was often the truth – being on the road had left him alone many nights in between recruitment jobs. This was not to say that he'd been miserable when he was traveling, but it made it easier to look Bella in the eye when he uttered it.

And she was mostly right in the latter. “Well, considering I didn't have you to wave them off, there were a few girls that would approach me.” He said modestly, though his eyes told her differently. Being lonely had never been a problem for him. What with his southern drawl, and often times charming personality, he tended to get a few offers from time to time.

It flatters me that you think so highly of my charm.” The southern man admitted lightly, recalling well how some of the girls on campus had acted when he'd been a leader of a team. Mostly, he attributed their reactions to that... and not because he found himself so stunning when he looked into the mirror.

She hugged him, and Blake reveled in the feeling. For a few moments it felt as though nothing had changed between them, and that he'd be able to go back to pretending to chase her around like she was his next big catch. The game they played was sorely tempting, and while he would make a few comments here and there, he remembered the name she'd mentioned in her letters time and again. Gideon. Just why he wasn't here, he hadn't the slightest idea, but, he couldn't rely on that to save him should her beau be just around the bend.

He offered her his jacket, and smiled when she curled into it instead of telling him that she couldn't take it from him. “It'll be good to be around for a bit.” Truly, and not just because he could be around one of his closer friends... Simply speaking, he needed this break from going over the same spiel with a different set of parents. But she corrected him when he called her lucky, and the molecular manipulator shook his head. ”No, Because I'd be paying; ergo, you're the lucky one.” Waiting for just a moment for the sake of his jibe, Blake smirked. “Plus, you're the one who gets to be around the guy who supposedly has so many interested girls.” Really, he figured he'd be the envied one -- not her, but there wasn't a need to bring that up to support her point.

The sound of her giggle was something that he found infectious, even if they were talking about his mother and her “robust” shape. Not that any of it was true, but she'd said it to get a rise out of him at one time, and he couldn't help but savor the memory. “A gentleman never gives out his sources.” He said, holding up one of his index fingers to shake it in the air at her, as though he were a parent scolding for the first time.

For but a few moments, it had felt as though he and she had never left each other's company, that things could go back almost as they had been before, until he asked her to dance. Once, it would have been her pleasure to show him up on the dance floor, but the soundstress became lifeless in an instant. A frown pulled at his mouth, blue pools contemplative as he tried to figure it out.

Gideon. He wasn't around, as he should have been. Really, he hadn't considered that before; he'd been lost in nostalgia with a girl who he had considered one of his better friends.

But rather than say anything, rather than forcing her to talk about it, he shook his head, draping the jacket over her. “Don't worry about it –” Blake said with a grin, masking the concern that made his heart pound. “You're cold, so you'd better keep that.

Feigning a sigh for her sake, he shoved his hands in his tux pockets and searched skyward. “Besides, I only asked because I figured you'd want to. It's probably better for my pride if you don't show me up.” He winked at her then, an unspoken negative to seeking out someone else's company. What kind of friend would he be, to let her wallow in her own misery, just to get a few moves in with the music? He'd already gone to his prom – he didn't need another, the way Bella so obviously needed a friend.

Vee waited a long time, almost to the point of feeling awkward, when a voice said, "Prom, huh? Have fun... and don't trip or anything."

Vee almost groaned in exasperation. Could she not be left alone? She turned slightly to see the newcomer. A boy stood at the door with a careless expression on his face. His expression was so... aimless, so unmotivated. He was, however, fashionably dressed, in a dark coat and jeans. Vee looked down at herself, wearing simply a cardigan and khaki's. It made her feel a bit unkempt.

The boy seemed to be talking to the other girl in the room, as he had mentioned prom and wished her a good time. Vee raised her head a little and met his eyes. She quickly looked back down at her feet, her hair covering her face. As she wasn't addressed, she thought it best to stay silent. She didn't want either of them there anyway. She wished they would just go away so she could play some music. She never encountered this problem back home.

But you're not home, Vee told herself mentally. You will never go back home. Her hands trembled, making her drop the sheet music she was holding. She cursed in her mind and knelt down to pick them up. That wasn't meant to be her first impression on both the girl and the boy.

Name: Jacen Reilly [Kraken]
Team: Omega
Location: Prom

Jacen gave an incredulous smirk in response to Leion’s accent. “Old Bean? Shouldn’t you be wearing one of those glass circles over your eye to say that?” Like that peanut on the cans of peanuts. That guy was weird come to think of it… and just thinking of peanuts was making him thirsty.

User ImageHis fellow Omega managed to bring up the last prom with the perfect amount of distaste. Jacen glanced up above the festivities, squinting before shaking his head. “I don’t think those chandeliers would hold as well anyway.” He said with a lopsided grin, turning to look at the incoming student body. “Sides, history never repeats itself.” He muttered, turning as Leion motioned towards the punch bowl.

He scanned the arriving crowd as they walked, spotting his fearless leader with Felix, which he was oddly un-phased by, and other couples dancing about. “Nice dress Hoshi.” he said as they passed the Alpha, stopping to wave her over. If wanted to join them at the bowl she was welcome, may as well get all the loners together anyway.

Thirst forgotten, instant trepidation overcame him at the thought of ‘Rave’ getting into the state of an actual rave. “Yea, I think I’ll pass.” He said, cupping his hand over the top of the cup. Call him silly or paranoid… but yea, he was probably being both. “Maybe you should wait to see how other people are affected by it.” Jacen said, patting Leion on the back. It didn’t occur to Jacen that acting this way may bring up the past, but he wasn’t particularly fond of repeat performances.
