Okay so...
Once upon a time in the Realm of Fantasy, There was a King and Queen of Fantasy Dreams who resided within a Castle of complete and utter beauty, nothing in the entire land was to come close to its splendor. For within its walls deep within the intricate windings of the mazes and passages of the Courtyard one would find themselves amidst the fabled Gardens. There bloomed to most beautiful of roses of every shade, but it was nto the roses themselves that were so precious. The roses collected the dew of the clouds and from this was made the nectar knwon to the inhabitants of the Fantasy Realm as the Nectar of the Gods, for it gave all things sustenance and life.... Prior to hearing of Gaians arriving for a Masquerade Ball the Gardener makes a ghastly discovery. The roses of Dreams are wilting and dying. But as to why no one is certain? Upon telling the King and Queen and consulting in the Royal Magician and Seamstress it is decided that the Masquerade Ball will cotinue on as planned and that the Gardener and Guard will work in secret to figure out this problem. But rations of the Nectar of Gods is running low... In act of compassion and care the Queen decides to take less and less of her own share as time passes, and as she does she becomes ill... The King both saddened and angered at his beloveds seeks to find the anwsers: Why are the roses dying? How might the Queen regain her health? As he enlists the help and Gaians he begins to notice that his world is starting to fade while others like his wife are turnign to glass and shatter at a touch. The anwsers to theese questions lead Gaians, King, and the unluckily heros of our tale to the doorsteps of the villian...The dreaded So and So. All the while she/he has been making characters forget who they are and causing the roses to wilt due to such. An epic battle takes place as she/he unleashes creatures and the like.... Will the Kingdom be restored? Or will it shatter and fade like a distant dream?
Haa haaa. Okay so it fell apart at the end but thus far trying to work it all together this is all I could muster.

Ok so why don't we have it so that it leads back to the Sandman, the Queen's sister, who did all of this because she was jealous of her older sister for marrying the only man she'd ever loved. The King. She see's it as her sisters fault, that she wasn't able to win the heart of the King. And so devised this plan so she could win him back by force, by killing everything he and her sister love and possess.

Very nice! I like this AND Broken's suggestions as well...though I have one question...isn't the Sandman supposed to be helping the realm of dreams? Or did I get all mixed up? We could of course choose to keep our current characters or change them...they would fit either way. Not to add even more to think about to this discussion but will there still be a maze involved?

Oh wow! Great work everyone! xd (I was gone all weekend and missed all of the fun.)
Welcome, Sunburst! We're glad to have you! We'll get you a part soon enough. For now, help up with ideas! heart
@Ink - I like that plot twist about the Queen falling ill and turning to glass. Although, I think I would call it the Nectar of Dreams instead of the Nectar of the Gods. I mean, after sinful demigods and Greek gods, maybe we ought to give them a bit of a rest. blaugh
@G-Fire - You were right. The Sandman was helping her sister, but that doesn't mean her motives are pure. She wants to play the fence a bit. She wants to help her sister, but still be able to keep everyone's eyeballs. Although, delving too deeply into that plot might be bad for the other rooms since the Sandman is more reflective of the overall ball plot. We wouldn't want people to think that the plot is only happening in our room. You see?

maybe we could do something with music? like, perhaps the right song can at least slow down the process of all the creatures and everything become evil from the sickness and all that. question is... how would it be repeated? idea idea idea idea idea idea idea idea idea idea idea idea idea idea who here has read the hunger games? for those of you who have, who remembers the stuff about the jabberyjays, one of the bird species who mixed with mockinkbirds to make mockingjays?

I tried to splice everything together and make it sound nice. Let me know if I missed anything or if I need to work on anything.
===================================================
The dew was settling on the crystalized flowers as the King and Queen of Dreams descended the spiral staircase. Hope permeated the air, or perhaps it only permeated the minds of the royal couple as they watched the dreaming Gaians enter their domain. As the guests approached the palace, they were greeted with sweet sonatas played by a small elfin orchestra atop an outside balcony. Lavishly dressed people and creatures twirled around an ivory dance floor while pink bubbles hovered overhead. Golden lamps on the brocade walls gave a sense of warmth to the space, as if to say, “All is well.” The Eternal Masquerade continued much as it always had, giving little time or thought to the decay outside its walls. A masked goblin in red flirted with the cunning harlequin, the keeper of the keys whispered in low tones to the steadfast guard, and no one took much notice as strangers invaded their midst. All dancers knew of the dangers they faced, that their world was slowly turning into empty crystals and hollow glass; but, all felt it was better to forget their woes in the romance and mystery of the moment. However, when faced with the reality of visitors, the realm’s inhabitants were suddenly forced to snap out of their magical reverie, if even for a moment.
Day 1 The guests get to know the cast of the room. Some will appear stand-offish, and the guests will have to dig to find out about some off the characters. The goblin will show a few of them around her library of spell books. The harlequin will jest with the guests, and occasionally steal something. The guard will test the might of the brave through some mundane tournament or other. The keeper of the keys will say mysterious things, and be a great insight into the workings of things, seeing as though she sees everything. While everyone is enjoying themselves, the patience of the king and queen will run thin, upset that their own aren’t being more helpful in finding a cure for the realm. The queen will start to feel ill at night, and the king will fawn over her.
Day 2 The queen will awake with a splitting headache, and feeling very lethargic. Spurred by his love for his wife, the king will ask the goblin sorcerous for a cure. Somehow during this time, they will find a book telling of the masks of slumber that combine to form the mask of eternal fantasy. The stipulation is that no resident of the realm of dreams my touch them, and that only visitors may remove them from their hiding places. Eager to inform his wife of the proceedings, the king will go to tell his wife, only to find that she had turned to glass, and is utterly hollow. She will still act, but she will be almost lifeless, with no love or concern in her heart. In turn, each of the other cast members in the room will lead the room will lead the guests on quests to collect these masks. The day will end with the masks being united, and the queen/world being saved. And there was much rejoicing… (yay)
Day 3 Now that the burden has been removed from the guests, they can now celebrate with the room cast without restraint. There will be random games and contests at various points. In the morning, the first half of the day, the school dream will invade our world and host a sports festival. During the second half of the day, some of us will go to the school dream and assist in romance woes.

That was the updated one, not finalized though. Each time we change what we have of the plot, I feel the urge to reflex it in creative writing. lol
