Aaron blushed and shuffled back to his area, looking shy again as his dragons perched on him. Spira took her strange perch on Aaron's nose again, staring at the half elf.

"D-did I say something wrong?" asked Javonne, blinking as she looked at Spira on Aaron's nose. "What's on your mind?"

Suddenly, a small girlish voice popped in her head. "You two are really cute. Aaron's never acted like this around anyone except Heather!"
Aaron walked over to Dory. "Here, I'll help you skin it." he said, pulling out a hunting knife from his belt as he started to skin the fur from the deer.

Dory nodded and crouched down. "Thanks. I could use the help..." she said, glancing over at him. "Does Spira have to use your nose as her perch?"

Javonne smiled, helping Spira into her cupped hands. Then she poke to the little dragon, "Oh really? Did you know the two of them together?"

Spira nodded. "Yeah. They acted a lot like you and he do... Well, except Heather was really shy. Not like you. You don't get too flustered by my jokes. I didn't think I'd ever see Aaron act like that again...until you came along! He seems to like you a lot!"
Aaron looked over at Javonne. "How big do you want the chunks to be?"

"They can be as big as you would like!" said Javonne, smiling more at what the dragon said while she whirled around to face him again. She walked over. "Do you like them big or small?"

"E-eh? Uhh, it doesn't matter to me." he said, blinking. "I'll just make medium sized ones, then." he said, as he started to cut up the meat with his knife.
Spira grinned a little."Do you like him too, perhaps?! Maybe he can laugh for real now! He always laughs at my jokes, but...he's not for real laughing...and it makes me sad." she said to Javonne.

"Yes," said Javonne, smiling over at Spira but not going into detail because others were listening. Javonne put the pot over the wood, before bending down to light the fire. "Should be easy enough to cook now. The hardest part is cutting everything up and getting the right amount."

"Just let me know when you're finished with the meat. I'll make the rest into jerky for the trip." Aaron said, nodding his head. "It's a trick my dad taught me."

Dory nodded her head. "I have lots of salt, so we'll be able to make jerky with what we have left over." she said.

"Okay," said Javonne, looking over into the pot and stirring it a little. "I think this should be good enough if you want to work on the jerky."

"Okay. I'll have to borrow the edges of the fire, if that's okay." he said, scooting closer to her as he grabbed some smaller branches, and using them as spits. While the meat cooked, he added salt to it until the meat cooked into jerky. He cooked several slabs of jerky.

"It's totally fine, I don't need all the flames anyway," said Javonne, shooting him another smile. "So you said that your dad taught you some secret way to do it?"

He shook his head. "No, just that he taught me how to do this." he said. "I grew up in the city, so we didn't have many chances to learn how to cook game like this. But, my dad used to be a traveler, so he learned how to do these things."
