Orion passed a grin towards Faleen. "Nu uh, this one's fer real. I met a dude who told me so. He said he went into a cave where a little girl had disappeared. He said he heard a girl laughing, then a blood curdling scream! Its true, man."
He just shrugged and smirked at Aila's retort.

As they neared the glow ahead a gate-like metal door illuminated by overhead lighting came into focus. Not like the door they'd cut through. This door looked like it slid open on rails and was surrounded by a thick wooden frame.
It was a lift.
Letting her actions betray her excitement, TRP sped her pace, running ahead of the Rockets. As she neared the lift and saw the state it was in, her pace slowed. Braided cables and electrical wires hung around it like spaghetti. Remnants of broken batteries scattered the floor. There was no way this thing was operational any more. It was also completely blocking the shaft up to the surface.
TRP tightened her hands into fists and turned around to look at Deimos. "Can you fix it?"
Deimos blinked and abandoned his hold of Tethys' arm to approach the rusty steel cage. "...yeah." He mumbled, eye traveling up the mess of broken wires, "..but not with a pile of pokédexes. I'm gonna need supplies. It looks like it's missing a lot of par-" He paused and sniffed the air. Eye widening, he whirled around and pointed frantically at Axel, then Tazieff, and any other pokémon in the room exposing an open flame, "PUT THEM AWAY! PUT THEM AWAY!!"
TRP tensed at the abrupt order, "What are you-"
"Gas! Mine gas! You're gonna kill us, get rid of them!!"
Clearly this was enough explanation, because TRP promptly recalled Axel and shouted back at the Rockets, "You heard the man!" As Axel disappeared, poor Stephan Micheal landed in a heap on the floor.

Oh good- more things going wrong. Nyx sighed irritably and was about to say something when Deimos' shouting about gas cut her off. "What-" She fumbled around for her pokeball and recalled Tazieff with little warning to the pokemon.

"Sod it!" Aulus grabbed for Char's pokeball and recalled the Charmeleon as soon as Deimos started flailing. Heart thumping, still wondering if he might be about to be blown up, the muscular young man moved forward and scooped up the fallen pilot, swinging him over his shoulder as carefully as was possible. He now had no free hands; one held his staff whilst the other steadied poor unfortunate Stephan, and if he had to drop one thing he supposed it would have to be his staff. Maybe some kind person would pick it up for him if it came to that.

Turning her gaze away from Banette and looking over to the Galactic and his story. "A story another person told you is hardly evidence of the truth. do you believe everyting someone tells you?"
She looked back to her ghost "Go back to standby" She told him continuing forward with the others "I have a pokemon who's in the habit of horrible shirking, its often easy to misinterpret the creature's calls, especially in an environment that your already on edge in."
The last thing any of them all needed was to be more nervous than they already were, and interpreting normal sounds for something outlandish.
The group soon arrived at what looked like a lift. Faleen crossed her arms and listened to the exchange, before the sudden outburst from the Galactic Boss about Gas caused her to step back, surprised.
The pilot fell the ground, this prompted Faleen to hurry over and check on him, he was already injured, hopefully that didn't do more.

"No one?" Well, so said Aulus. Maybe he was the culprit after all. A pokemon sounded much more likely, but it was a great deal more difficult to direct her frustration towards a passing wild pokemon than it was to do so towards a physical being who was right in front of (or behind) her. "Well, whatever." It didn't matter anyway, and TRP looked awfully excited about something ahead Unfortunately it wasn't long before this excitement faded, replaced by the Galactic leader's frenzied shouts.
Gas, flames, brilliant. Even better than the not-a-pressure-plate that was doing to detonate the whole mine. The poor injured pilot was dumped unceremoniously to the ground, causing Aila to furrow a brow in pity for the evidently expendable man. Aulus made short work of scooping him up, though, but it seemed this left him limited in his movements. If there was going to be an explosion or something, this would be highly detrimental.
"If you like, you can let my Metagross transport him," Aila suggested. The steel-type's large, flat body seemed a good means of moving the injured, especially with its ability to use Magnet Rise and reduce jostling.

"I believe what I wanna believe, blondie. I know this guy and he ain't no liar." He then skirted closer to Faleen, still wearing that smirk. "But that ain't the end of it either. He kept going into the cave, thinkin the same as you... an all the sudden he felt icy fingers on his shoulders. But when he turned around... there wasn't nobody there." Orion's voice dimming down into a whisper.
That's when Deimos shouted and Orion abruptly stopped, an actual look of worry crossing his face for just a moment. And then he smelled the gas as well. "s**t in a bucket," he muttered, glancing at Bandit who also looked rather alarmed.

She glances slightly to the side, eyes locking on the Galactic that was getting closer to her, eyebrows arching in a warning look. she listened to his story "Banette, if you would be so kind..." She said to the air.
A few moment after she said this, a hand was pressed against Orions shoulder, yet the source remained completely out of sight. "Believed what you will Galactic, I reserve the right to think you gullible and foolish" Not that she didn't already think negatively of him. Banette pulled away after a few seconds, drifting to who knows where.
When Aulus picked up the Pilot, Faleen stepped back with the others, knowing that just being around this gas was dangerous. it would make using the lift nearly impossible. if just one spark was made from the metal rails, or from fixing the wires

Deimos relaxed as the various fire-type pokémon vanished. "....guess we won't be using the laser any more." He sounded very disappointed about this. He eyed the broken batteries and his brow furrowed, "....or electric types, for that matter. We're gonna have to power this thing with batteries.. no open sparks."
TRP was in the process of checking Stephan over along with the others, "..what are you going to need?"
Deimos adjusted his cape and set about climbing around the lift, checking the state of its parts (or lack thereof). He started rattling off the names of things they'd need. Occasionally he'd describe something like a tooth spurr gear as 'those big gears with the little bumps on them', leaving the mechanically knowledgeable Rockets to translate his meaning. Clearly Deimos knew his way around machines, but he didn't seem so good with technical terms.
Once the list was done TRP heaved a sigh, "...alright. There has to be a store of supplies around here somewhere. We'll find them, get what we need, then get the hell out of here." She nodded at Aila's suggestion, "You can take Stephan." She winced as another mysterious sound echoed from the darkness of a nearby tunnel. Nothing about this place seemed right. She couldn't shake the feeling that they were being toyed with somehow. "..let's get moving. I don't suppose anyone has any idea where supplies would usually be kept in a place like this.."

"Mmh, yea, that is a good idea," Aulus agreed, bending to set his staff down for the time being so that he could more easily manoeuvre the pilot up onto Aila's Metagross. Once this was done he retrieved his weapon, pursing his lips and shaking his head at TRP. "Not the faintest idea," he replied, "I guess we should split up to search? I know that's a horror movie no no, but I for one don't want to hang out with all this gas around for too long." At least he would have Tortie with him even if he had to go off without any of the other Rockets; the patched Absol had been padding along patiently with him all this time, and hadn't huffed at him in disgust once. Smiling briefly despite the severity of their situation the red-eyed man ruffled his four-legged friend's thick soft mane.

She frowned a little when he couldn't even name some of the parts he was describing, for Faleen took to throwing the name of the item out when she was able to properly picture it in her head,
It wasn't hard to remember the kinds of parts he was asking for, So with a glance to the others "Umbreon come on, we need more light." trying to hint to him to glow brighter. She hadn't seen anything in the aria they had been to so far. but if there was a store like TRP said, than it wouldn't be to far from the lift... at least she assumed anyway.

As Deimos listed off parts, Tethys reached into her coat for a small notepad and began jotting them down in what was probably a practiced shorthand, since she was managing to keep up. Her Starmie hovered just behind her as if reading over her shoulder.
"Keep a small Pokemon out as you search," she commented to no one in particular. "If it faints, leave the area."

With a nod, Aila tapped the release switch and briefly explained her expectations to the Metagross, whom she promptly pointed in Aulus's direction where it received the weight of the unconscious man grudgingly. Oh great, the fleshy thing was going to bleed all over him.
At the question of a supply location, Aila hummed thoughtfully. "Seems as though supplies would be kept close to the entrance, so they could be taken by arriving miners and easily restocked. Not that that helps us much," for if they knew the location of the entrance, they wouldn't be in this predicament to begin with. "If that much is true, though, and we can assume this lift leads to the surface, then supply storage shouldn't be too far..." Curiously, she moved to glance down the nearest tunnel - as if it would be so simple a task. Tethys's comment, which seemed to encourage Aulus's suggestion, drew a raised eyebrow and a brief sigh. What was the smallest pokemon she had in her possession at the moment...

Ugh, mine gas. Could this get any better? Oh wait, they had to go search an abandoned, creepy mine to find parts to fix the rusty, broken, and thoroughly untrustworthy-looking lift. Oh well, maybe this could be a bit easier..
Another flash of light produced a bright orange Growlithe, whose tail immediately started wagging. "Artemis, we need to find supplies. Metal supplies."
Find?! Ooh, she could do that! She yipped in response and immediately glued her nose to the ground and began sniffing while trotting around. She suddenly stopped over the metal tracks on the ground and used the typical pointing pose before Claire sighed. "No, those are tracks. We need supplies. Find and fetch."
Ohhh! That made more sense. "Awrr!" And with that, she was off again. This time she completely ignored the tracks and began back-tracking, her big fluffy white tail still wagging as she did so.

"I'd prefer not to split up.." TRP commented, glancing around as they walked, "If there's another cave-in somewhere and someone was trapped we'd never find them.." She glanced at Aila and nodded, "You're probably right. Let's assume this lift is the entrance and keep the search close to this area."
Thankfully, the search didn't last too long. After only five minutes of walking up a new path it ended at a large open door, above which hung a crooked sign that read: SUPPLY ROOM.
Unfortunately, as they entered said room they'd find it disappointingly devoid of supplies. In fact, it was completely empty. The floor was lined with deep scrape marks where heavy trunks had likely been dragged away.
TRP sighed, "....brilliant. I guess we'll have to search this whole place for the parts instead."
Apparently they would be doing no such thing. As the last Rocket entered the room the flickering lights blinked out and the heavy door slammed shut behind them. This was followed by the sound of a clicking lock.
By the light of their pokémon the Galactics and Rockets would see the letters E O N S carved into the inside of the door in deep crooked marks.
The door was, mysteriously enough, locked with a thick industrial padlock. Rather than a key, it took a number combination. Along the side were four number dials. The seven on each dial had been scratched out.
"What the hell is this?"
