"S-sir?" Damien whirled around so surprised to see his friend alive. "I...I'm...please forgive for what I have done."
Damien could feel the tug of tremendous power that he had felt all those years ago when Luciferius first found him.

"It wasn't you, Damien." He turned to face Ryn, killing intent obvious in his stare. "I believe this cur has tried to play a fatal trick." Reaching down, he retrieved his rapier from the ground and pointed it at Ryn's throat. "Did you really think it would be so easy to kill me?" He chuckled low in his throat. "You have made a grave mistake."

Ryn suddenly wisped behind Ari, and put his arm around her waist, his tail wrapping around Ari.. Within Ari's mind, she could hear Ryn's voice.
I'm not going to harm you.. I need you to trust me, He's been infected by Nyx's power. It's not going to be safe here with him running loose..
Turning his head to Damien, yet keeping an eye on Luferius, he began to speak once more.
"Seems like your precious Captain's gone over to Nyx's side. The Power I casted out, now flows through his veins..Are you going to protect your Kingdom, or are you going to let Nyx dig her claws further into this place?"
A Holy Barrier engulfed Ari and himself..his eyes turning Gold.

He's right. What do I do? Damien gritted his teeth, readying his sword. He didn't want to fight his friend nor fight along side of Ryn. Looking a Luciferius, though, it was clear that Nyx was inside of him.
"C-..." He wasn't his captain anymore. "Luciferius! Why have you allowed Nyx to over take you?!"

The vampire did not move from his spot, eyes still boring into Ryn.
"Damien, believe me or not, I am still the same man I once was. Nothing has changed."
A sharp sneer centered on his lips as he addressed Ryn.
"I have done nothing to harm this Kingdom. I am still a loyal member of the Royal guards. You however, have brought Nyx to this land, stolen blood crystals, killed guards, and now you threaten to kidnap our queen? I will not allow this."

"Luciferius. It's clear you've changed. Look at yourself! I do not recognize you." Damien stepped towards him, with one hand away from the hilt of his sword while the other on it's sheath. It was ready to attack if needed.He couldn't be lying. Could he?

Raising up a free hand, Luferius turned it over, examining it. Clenching it tight, crimson energy crackled around it. "You may not recognize me anymore, Damien, but I have gained much more power. Nyx be damned, I will not serve her. I know where my priorities lie and it is here in this Kingdom where I belong."

"I...I still do not know how..you were killed just before." Damien struggled between the queen's safety and his loyalty with his friend. He would keep an close eye on his friend for now. If he caught a wiff of Nyx around him then he would have no choice to react. "Sir....understood."

He nodded to his friend. "I am putting you in charge now, Damien. You have proven your capabilities." Training his rapier back on Ryn, he smirked. "Now, let us get rid of this cur."

Damien felt honored to gain such a position and nodded back to him, "Luciferius....if I am captain now. What of you?"
Something inside though, felt tremendous guilt that the queen's heart was going to be hurt. It didn't matter though, this intruder, Ryn, killed his comrades and lead Nyx to Luciferius. For that he had to pay. Damien raised his sword to meet with his friend.

Keeping his eyes ready for Ryn's next move, Luferius sent his thoughts to Damien. "Do not worry about me, I will find a position soon enough. For now, we must find a way to break this barrier."

"Yes sir, but the barrier is made of pure light. It will be hard to penetrate." Damien responded to his thoughts. He would be the one to rescue the queen. He wished that she had stayed in her chambers.

Luferius frowned, trying to examine the barrier for any possible weak points in it's structure. The element of light made it difficult, especially in this realm of darkness. His calculating eyes darted around the room, searching for anything that he could use. "We may need to break his concentration."

Turning his full attention to Ryn, Luferius sneered. "A barrier, Ryn? Come now, I was expecting something more creative from you. The one who was calling me a coward just minutes earlier is now resorting to an act of cowardice?"
