Rosc flinched at the noise that had erupted in the room, but it was the twangy thud that caught his attention most. He barely heard it over that one boil's terrible singing (Did he have to sing so Jack-damned loud???), but he did nonetheless and his head jerked around to see the other cello on the ground and that- that- idiot patchwork running off to help another demon who was beneath a tuba. He bared his teeth ever so slightly with his scowl.
Who the hell gets trapped under a tuba??

The incubus added another mental tick-mark against the hunchback, he even considered yelling at him over the din. You don't just drop instruments like that, especially when they weren't yours! He wondered if the professor would do anything. He would have been beyond pissed if someone just dropped his cello like that.
Rosc had properly righted the harp he had been saddled with before coming over to help the small undead girl. Perhaps the other boil was just stupid. Upon further consideration, that seemed a likely possibility. He had looked pretty dumb when he had been surrounded by girls.

And yet he had almost started a fight at the beginning of class. That recollection gave Rosc some pause. He really didn't like physical confrontations, and the patchwork was stronger than him, he had no doubt. He was pretty sure he was faster, but not stronger. He'd have to be clever if he ever went toe-to-toe with the boil.

A triangle? Is that what she was imagining in her head at the moment? Stepping forward, Alcyone accepted the instrument from the professor. Staring down at it, the water demon had no idea what to do. This thing was considered an instrument? She was used to playing stringed instruments so this was going to be... interesting.

Well, let's give this a try... Alcie tapped the triangle ever so slightly to see what kind of sound it made. A soft ringing filled the air and she was rather surprised that the strange instrument sounded so nice. "Well, that's an interesting sound. Kind of light and airy." So far, so good. She didn't want to disappoint the professor.

After she gave the triangle a few more taps, Alcie varied how hard she tapped the triangle and for such a small instrument, it didn't lack in clarity or sound at all. Thankfully she had some prior music lessons so she could carry a beat and a tune. She didn't know what she was supposed to be playing so she just tried to wing it and come up with some kind of tune. It didn't sound horrid but it wasn't exactly bad either. With some polishing, Alcie figured that she could actually like the triangle.

((6+2 = 8-6 = 2, positive so Alcie 'passes'))

Having been staring at Amrita, she noticed a student (a Demon) who had been assigned to the same instrument as her (albeit a concert harp rather than a small celtic one) helping the Vetala out. While he was blindfolded and probably can't see her, she shot him a relieved and grateful smile before turning back to her own instrument, absent-mindedly playing it as she looked around.

The loud noises that exploded soon after caused Lizzy to cringe as she stopped plucking the strings of the harp altogether, afraid that she might pull too hard and snap one from all the chaos around. Between the commotion going on at Calder's side, there was Christof dropping the cello - she couldn't help wincing at that, letting out a soft 'ouch' as it hit the ground. That was not her instrument, but she still felt the pain; if that had been her guitar... Well, Christof would have been in lots of trouble. With her. Hopefully, Professor Blue would be more forgiving, but something told her otherwise...

And then there was Israfel singing. That... Was painful. She was sure her ears were going to drop off from his screaming.

However, the sound of something pleasant playing nearby caused her attention to be focused there instead - Sepheran had started on playing his instrument and as she had expected, he was good at it! She smiled, the noise in the class being drowned out by the soothing sound of the violin; in fact, she was contented with just listening and swaying to the music until the boil was done.

"You're really good with the violin, Sepheran!"

The tuba, with the last hard tug, came up and off of Barth.

Unfortunately, as Christof shoved Israfel out of the way, there was nothing to stop the tuba from landing on top of the siren instead.

The tuba had tasted blood. Or asphyxiation via crushing, at least.

It could not be stopped.

"I...I'll try my best!" She promised Lucien, who took time out of his busy schedule of being...well, Lucien, to cheer her on. She was about to try again when she noticed...the room was suddenly darker than it was before, were her eyes goi---OHJACKTHERE WAS A HAND THERE!

Startled, her head snapped up and she stared with a wide eye at the Blindfolded Demon who was now holding her Cello for her. Once she realized that her eye wasn't going it was just the shadow of a stranger,

"A wh---" She cut herself off as Israfel started to do that shriek-singing thing he did. She flinched visibly and clung onto her Cello, but this did remind her of the band...and the screaming vocals he gave. She might have been on the Cello and there was a distinct lack of attentive Tahki on drums, but Israfel never lost his screamo-band muse.

Ever.

"Relax" She stressed to the Siren, trying to sound helpful but sounding a little exasperated instead. She wanted to go over to them, but she saw how hard Christof's Cello hit the floor...she didn't want to be under a falling Cello. It would probably feel like a piano.

Sepheran was focusing on his violin for a while his sounds drowning out the horrible noises being emitted from some of the other students, that is until he stopped playing hearing Lizzy compliment his playing. He blushed lightly but cringed as his sensitive ears caught the screeches that was Israfel's singing.

Sepheran's hands moved to touch his ears as he tried to shift his senses once more so that the noise was drowned becoming instead vibrations. Opening his eyes he gasped slightly a vision of the classroom being emitted due to all the noise. Turning his head he looked upon Lizzy a much more detailed appearance meeting his eyes. He couldn't see the little details but he got a better picture in his mind then how Liannan had described her as too him. Music really was cool...but as much as he would have loved to stay like this, not being able to hear much of anything was a problem.

Sighing he closed his eyes once more a rush of horrid noise coming back to him. At least this way he's hear the teacher talk. "Thank's Lizzy...I was a little nervous at the beginning though," he admitted lightly with a soft blush on his pale skin.

The Harpie somewhat apprehended via Tuba, Christof had the presence of mind to realize- oh fear alive he had just dropped his teacher's instrument.... hopefully it was still in tune! Glancing to make sure his Master was alright, he quickly moved to make sure his instrument could still hold a tune...

He sighed iwth relief when he was able to somehow hold down the strings and get what SOUNDED like a functional note via plucking.

But what was the stick with hair strung on it for?

With a grunt, he kept the instrument in his hand this time as he hovered beside the Sloth Demon, still glowering distrustfully at the Siren who... definitely could not sing.

"You're very welcome!" She nodded with a smile; now that Sepheran had stopped playing his violin though, there was nothing to really distract her enough to drown out the noises in the room. She hoped that the teacher would stop the activity soon... Shifting the harp so that she could lean lightly on it (without the risk of breaking it, of course), the Demoness nodded again at his comment, "Well, I guess its different when you have someone around to approve or disapprove of your playing... You played really well though! I'm sure he would approve!"

A thoughtful look then crossed her face, "Oh, I know! Maybe we can play something together once the professor gives me the go-ahead to pick up my guitar!" She's not quite sure how the two instruments would mix, but it might be something nice since they're playing instruments familiar to them!

OH JACK WHAT NOW. OH GOD IT WAS ON HIM. IT WAS ON HIM NOW.
Distressed, and now covered with tuba, Israfel just kept screaming lyrics in his hysterics.

Thankfully, covered by the tuba, it was moderately dulled now.

Rosc had missed the smile from the other demoness (Lizzy), mostly because his attention wasn't focused on her. Sure, he had amazing peripheral vision, but it really only caught significant movement, and a smile really didn't qualify.

"A half-size," he repeated, making sure that he had a good grip on the tall instrument. He still spoke rather lowly, but loud enough so that he hoped the small ghoul could hear him over that shrieking idiot.

"It's shorter, weighs less. It'll be easier for you to play," he added after a moment and his wings rustled a bit. Which wasn't saying much since cellos themselves weren't terribly heavy, just cumbersome and, well, weighted poorly. Being mostly hollow and really big at one end compared to the other did that. He could easily lift the one he was holding by the fingerboard if he wanted to.

But this ghoul was smaller than he was. For all he knew, she couldn't lift five pounds.
His attention was caught by plucking and he glanced over to see the hunchback plucking at the strings. How that drop hadn't affected the strings, he'd never know.
Dammit all, why wasn't Blue stepping in on this? They'd all be bleeding from the ears if that boil wasn't stopped soon!

The professor seemed satisfied enough with Unstabul and gave him a nod.

His eyes seemed to stare at Gabrian who finally made a noise that was acceptable enough and then after a bit Renaissance also did. He certainly expected better of Gabrian, but he gave the two a nod.

The little water horse, Calder, eventually blew correctly into something other than a bagpipe and earned himself a chance to stop as the professor nodded his head to him as well. Lucien seemed to be enjoying himself, and who wouldn't? It was pretty hard to play Tambourines wrong. He gave the air spirit a nod before promptly looking away.

A lot of the class seemed to be in a blur as the professor enjoyed his questionable thoughts about the child-like student Amrita. He knew he shouldn't, he knew it was wrong... but it was so right. He was allowed to just look, right? Just think about it? There wasn't anything wrong about that right? Yes, Sin, he did see it. He smiled at you.

He couldn't exactly nod at to Sepheran so instead he gave a small, "Acceptable for now," to him.

Then all kinds of interesting things happened. Israfel started to sing which Blue gave a rather apathetic look towards, Bartholomew decided to get frisky with his tuba, Christof got a stern 'You're on my list' look when he dropped the cello and an unhappy nod saying he could stop. "Christof," he said in a very displeased tone. "You will be pleased to know that not only have you been approved to stop but you've also been approved to see me after class for detention with the late cat." He did not approve of such careless handling of his instruments.

His eyes fell back on the child Amrita, and then to Rosciel who was trying to help her. If she really wanted a smaller one, she'd just have to ask. It was simple, but she would have to ask. This was not something he was a sadistic b*****d about, but there was no way for him to tell that she didn't like the oversized cello unless she told him. She could love it, for all he knew. She'd have to say so.

Barth cringed, doing a spot-check. Intact, uncrushed, no broken bones, slightly out of breath.

He didn't bother to get off the floor. From there, he looked at his savior, now bearing the weight of the tuba.

"Someone err, help him. Please."

The near-slim weight of the Cello wouldn't have been as bad had the girl herself not been similarly hollow; a great deal of her torso, though covered by clothes with the exception of the little windows due to fabric tearing, was hollow aside from the skeleton. Most of her innards had rotted away before the body was possessed, and would likely remain that way for a while.

"H-Half size..." Amrita repeated slowly, humming thoughtfully. A half size would be better...a lot easier. Heck, she might even be able to actually play it! Her head was tilted up towards the demon, but her single grey eye was most definitely looking at the floor; she didn't know him, she wasn't comfortable enough to stare.

"I...I'll try. T-thank you for, um, the suggestion." She said to the Demon, rather happy that he was so helpful. Then, gathering up the instrument on her own accord, she made her way back to the Professor with it, what was left of her lips pressed tightly together in a thin line of concentration. One foot in front of the other, take it slow, steady, steady....

Eventually making it to Professor Blue, Amrita looked up at him, then down again at the much-to-big-for-her Cello.

"Uhm...M-may I have a..." What was it called again? Oh, jack. Uh. Uh...Oh! "...Half-size, please...?" She asked softly, alternating her shy gaze from the Cello to the much taller Blue.

Professor Blue seemed to look at the child softly, his thoughts of of her disappearing and his face changing, before he looked to her cello. He repeated this for some time before he nodded his head and took the over-sized cello away from the child-like student. He didn't say if he would give her a half size, but he went back over to the closet, placing her cello inside. A moment or two passed and then he pulled out what seemed to be a smaller one. He carefully took it with him and held it out in front of her.

"This," he said, holding it out for her to take. "Is a half size. It should be easier."

Since he still had his instrument on hand, he settled down in a chair near him and set to work with practicing again. It didn't feel weird to hold the violin but to play it... something else altogether. Just as he began to play, a most... words failed to describe the sound that came from.. where was it coming from?? Looking around, he found the source and he was shocked... amazed.. no, no, stupefied to see that i came from a student!? A student was... no, that wasn't quite singing.

He had heard rumors about Israfel... well, about the Battle of the Bands that he hadn't been there for it but Amrita had been in it, so he recalled her talking about it. But he had heard rumors that Israfel couldn't sing... which was odd, being that he was a siren and such. But to see that they were true... he didn't quite know what to say. So he kept his thoughts to himself, shook himself mentally and tried again.
