"Wait a sec'....Don't tell me.....Shadow, you don't REALLY believe what Metal told you, do you?" Rouge sighed irritably. "All that s**t was completely fake, I garauntee you."
"Not the part about Maria shooting me out in an escape pod. I can vaguely remember that...." Shadow said quietly(I mean more then usual, of course XD), staring at the ground. "I....made a promise to her. I don't remember what, though....Something about the people on this planet...."
(I love how they ignore Zahc XD)

(That's what makes Zach awesome. He's ignored and used to being threatened. Plus he can throw a tantrum. Just wait, it'll happen if he gets really mad. :3 )
Rosemary blinked. "So, your minds bottled with lies, half-truths, and possible truths that you can't figure out?" she asked. She sighed. Sucked to be Shadow. But then again, she couldn't imagine that.
Zach tilted his head back, obviously not interested in any of this. He blew a strand of his hair out of the way and sighed dramatically. "You know what? I think my hands are going numb. How tight did you put on those handcuffs? I can't feel them." He shifted them around a bit and huffed. "Yup. Can't feel 'em. Maybe wanna losen them for me?" He gave a genuine smile. "Just so I can get my circulation back. I can't pick locks. And I can't run far, so you don't need to worry about me getting anywhere."
(xD I'm going to enjoy Zach very much.)

"Another thing obviously right about what Metal said was that I have amnesia." Shadow sighed. Oh, and in reply to Zach, he kicked him in the back, hard.
Rouge bit her lip. "Well, we could always go see Salome."
"Who?" Shadow looked at her, confused.
(Don't be afraid to ask to bring in ANYONE. Because I have, and eventually will most likely have, A LOT of characters sweatdrop This one could be Zach's 'friend' wink 'Cause she's very pretty XD)
"That half-tiger fortune-teller-dancer girl who escaped from the base because one of the guards was sexually abusing her." Rouge explained.

(Oh, believe me. If I knew more of the characters I would. But lol. Poor Zach. I should probably bring Desiree from the ear piece and to an actual person rather than voice. xD)
Rosemary gave Rouge the same confused look. She sighed. Something she was begining to get used to was confusion. She cast an odd look down at the guy named Zach and gave him a small, sympathetic smile.
Zach rolled from the kick. He let out a high pitched whine and flopped onto his back, pouting. "No need to be an a** about it." he muttered. He perked up though at the name Salome. He remained quiet in order to listen a little more, but was still pouting.

(Yeah XD But hey, he perked up. cool And Salome is actually MADE UP! WHOOO! I DIDN'T BASE HER OFF OF A SONIC CHARACTER! xD)
"She lives in a cavern not far from here." Rouge continued, "I'm sure she could help."
"Whatever keeps us moving." Shadow mumbled. He began walking off.
"What about this guy?" Rouge nodded towards Zach. "Shouldn't we take him?"
Shadow sighed. He walked back to Zach and pulled him to his feet by the hair. "I'd prefer to leave him here to rot, but fine."
Rouge shook her head, then motioned for them to follow and marched off.

(Lol. That deserves a one person applause. -claps- Yay! Good for you. x3)
Rosemary simply shrugged and followed after Shadow. She was curious about this Salome person. All the while she was still a bit upset. To hear something like that from a stranger was haunting. And it was going to stick. She shook her head ever so slightly and sighed, putting her arms behind her head.
Zach winced and said, "Hey! You know that humans can feel pain right? And-" he stopped when he realized he was tagging along. He followed after Rouge, looking over his shoulder. "Can we take the cuffs off please? My balance won't be very good if they're like this." Then he remembered something, or someone. "Oh! Desiree, they changed plans."
"I know." a voice said next to him.
Zach jumped, a squeak coming from him. "Hey!" he whispered. "This guy's mean! You shouldn't be around here."
Desiree flipped her long black hair and her violet eyes simply shone. "Oh please, you know how many guys I've been with that I could honestly say look far scarier than him?" she asked. "A lot. I can take a bully." She didn't bother keeping her voice down. Why would it matter if they saw her or not? She could do what she pleased when she wanted to. People had rights. Especially Desiree.
"What about boss?" he asked.
Desiree shrugged. "Done. Told him she's dead and that we quit. I'm tired of those lame guards falling after me. And being a little monkey to that creep. I mean, would you enjoy having laser surgery to enhance eyesight that only changes the color?" She peered at him with her abnormally bright, almost pink, eyes.

Shadow could hear Desiree perfectly. He just, truly and honestly, did not care. Rouge could hear even better then him, so she was probably just following Shadow's lead for the most part.
After they walked through the fields for a bit, Rouge stopped. She pointed at a den-like cave about thirty feet from them. "There. That's where she lives."
Suddenly, a large, orange, black-striped tiger appeared, walking through the grass towards them. It stopped and looked up at Rouge.
"Hello Salome. Can we talk to you? These guys are my friends. Well, except the one in the handcuffs. But he's safe for now." Rouge explained.
Salome nodded. She turned and ran back into her den.
Rouge and Shadow followed(Shadow pulling Zach, by the way).

(Zach's got a childish attitude. Desiree will have a snarky, over confident, know-it-all attitude. biggrin 'Cause that's just how I roll.)
Rosemary was a bit astounded when she saw the large feline. She blinked and then a few secondes later relaxed. She was getting used to this. A silent congradulatory went through her head. She went after the others, still a bit facinated.
Zach frowned as he was pulled. "I can walk on my own. Just letting you know, my sister is actually a bigger threat than I am." He was a bit wide eyed when he saw it was a tiger. "A guard sexually abused that? Uh..." he mumbled to himself.
Desiree hit him on the back of the head. "Shut up. Otherwise I'll add some more of your torment." She cast a narrowed glance at the den. She wasn't a fan of tighter spaced areas. Nonetheless she followed after her brother.
(Oh Zach. Your mouth will cause you such a problematic future. xD)

As they entered the den(by crouching), they found the inside to be much more roomier and actually quite nice; there was a red carpet covering the floor, a table with a crystal ball on it and two stools on either side, red curtains that could close but were open, showing a fancy bedroom with a pink-red bed that had pink curtains to cover it. Standing before them, wearing a long, flowing red dress, was a beautiful woman with waist-length black hair, green eyes, and flawless skin, and large, oval-shaped red earings(I sense a red theme here). "This makes more sense." mumbled Shadow. Even he had been a bit puzzled by the tiger being Salome. Now he realized she could transform into either.
"Greetings." said Salome, her voice calm and smooth. "It has been a while, Rouge the Bat. But who are your friends, if I may ask?"
"This is Rosemary, this is some guy that we found, and this is Shadow." introduced Rouge, pointing at each as she said their name.
Salome's eyes widened a bit. "Shadow? Shadow the Hedgehog? The Ultimate Lifeform?"
"Hmph." Shadow crossed his arms, looking away from SAlome. Obviously, he instantly did not like the tiger mutant.
"He's still a little annoyed that no one told him about being the Ultimate Lifeform. He feels like they used him." Rouge explained.
"They did." Shadow said quietly.
"Well, anyway...." Rouge looked at Salome. "Some robotic double of Shadow showed up and said that he was made fifty years ago on the Space Colony ARK. He isn't sure if he should believe it, but knows it can't all be nonsense, because he does remember a girl named Maria."
Salome nodded. "And you want me to help discover his past?" She questioned, "I think I can do that. Come," Salome turned and walked over to the crystal ball, sitting infront of it. "Shadow, sit."
"Fine." Shadow followed and sat down in the other chair. The only emotion slightly visable on his face told us he always hated fortune tellers. Salome:

Rosemary was surprised when she saw the woman standing before them. She was beautiful and she could believe that she had just recently been the tiger they had seen.
Zach stared a bit, his question answered. Ah, he thought. He looked at Rouge as she introduced them all. "My name's Zach." he piped up.
Desiree stood off, looking bored. Hoo doo or what, she wasn't interested. She just needed to watch her brother.
"Try not to be a butt this time," Rosemary told Shadow.

Salome put her hands a few inches above the crystal ball's surface on either side. "Now Shadow, I need you to clear your mind, and relax." She told him.
"Yeah yeah." Shadow said, sighing and relaxing his muscles. Rouge walked over and stood near them.
After a few moments, an image appeared in the ball. It was a large, metal room filled with gizmos and gadgets, monitors and levers and buttons, et cetera. Shadow(naked except for a linencloth, by the way XD) was floating in a test tube, full of green liquid, a device like one of the things they use to help people breath on his mouth. He looked asleep. A twelve-year-old girl with short blonde hair was standing infront of it, her hand on the glass of the tube. When she spoke, they could hear her voice.
"Hi there....I'm Maria. Can you hear me?"
A man with a large mustache and bald head walked in. "Maria! What are you doing in here?" He asked, "I told you not to go into my lab."
Maria looked at the ground, ashamed. "I'm sorry, grandfather. I was saying hello to him." She looked back at Shadow. The man sighed. "Come on, Maria. Let him rest." He put a hand on her back, and they left.
After the door closed, bubbles emmited from Shadow's mouth. He murmured, "Maria...."
The image changed. The man had returned to the lab.
He pressed a button on the control panel. The liquid in Shadow's tank drained. Said mutant opened his eyes, and glanced around, pulling out the breathing tube. He felt the sidings of his container in amazement. "What....Where am I? Where's Maria?" He asked no one in particular.
"Ah, so you remember my grandaughter. She visited you while you were still being completed. My name is Dr. Gerald Robotnik. And your name is....?" The doctor obviously knew, but was just testing Shadow's knowledge.
"Shadow...." He said, looking at his hands.
(BTW: These images are made up for the RP. Some will be real, but not all ^^)

(Ah, sorry. Have an eye infection and the computer irritates it.)
Rosemary went closer, standing on the other side of Shadow. She watched the crystal ball, taking in everything. It was odd, watching someone's past. She was curious, sure, but she was curious about everything. But this had somehow made its way to the top.
Zach stood back for a while before scooting up behind Rosemary and watching over her shoulder. He was still a bit confused on the entire issue, but it was okay with him. He kept casting amazed glances at Salome though. How did she do this?
Desiree hung out in the back, looking around critically. Too much red for her liking. Blue, or purple was more of her color. She had no interest in Shadow's past or whatever it was they were watching. And her brother seemed more interested in the woman than the scene playing in the ball. Desiree sighed and combed her fingers through her already silky hair. It'd been better if Zach hadn't been caught. They would've been able to do their own thing if he hadn't been so careless. He wasn't helpless though. He had an amazing ability to fight. Desiree had to be taught by him. Their past was nothing but a few words, ones that Desiree wouldn't share and compelled Zach not to either.

(Awh, poor fing. D: Take it easy, okie? Don't overwork churself,and don't spend too much time on the comp if it irritates chur eye.)
Shadow stared into the crystal ball. Were these memories really in his head somewhere? But too whiped away to remember without Salome's help?
The image changed again. It showed Shadow(fully dressed) walking into a metal room, furnished like the average girls' room; bright colors and toys, all the things Shadow hated. Maria was sitting on her bed, coloring.
She looked up when the door opened. "Oh, hello. Grandpa said he assigned you to watch me."
Shadow nodded. He looked around in obvious dislike, then walked over to her, and gazed at her picture. "What are you doing?"
"Drawing."
"What?"
"Drawing." She repeated.
"What is that?"
"Here, I'll show you." Maria gave him a peice of paper and a colored pencil, making him sit down on the edge of the bed. She held his wrist and gently guided his hand. The tip of the pencil made a line.
Shadow's eyes widened slightly. "Huh? What just happened?"
"You drew, silly." Maria laughed. Shadow smiled slightly. "Heh...."
