"Work multiple steps ahead of your foe." Kyu repeated thoughtfully. The words tumbled in his head a few times. Kyu ran over the steps in his own head, just as Saikoro advised. Kyu could foresee more instances where tracking skills were necessary, and other instances where supreme stealth was required. Speed beyond his means and senses beyond his nature. Kyu rethought his own place on the team. Even now, his place as leader was taken being taken by Saikoro. As much as Kyu haded the concept of not being useful as the head or the body of the team, it was a bitter truth that he had to accept. In order to be successful, that would mean...
Kyu spoke up, "I agree. My own clones are short range only, and my tracking skills are sub-par for this mission. Instead, I'll sacrifice my own com-link to supply Kuro with a link. I'll just hang close to one of you three bros at all times in order to keep in-the-loop." Kyu began to undo his ear piece and the hookup on his collar, "Let's catch up to Kuro, and give him this, along with one of your clone-buddies to chill with. When we do the trade-off, I'll give you your tool packs, 'kay bro?"

Hibiki gritted his teeth slightly, glad that they were moving at a fast pace so no one saw his anger flare up quickly. He knew what he was doing, he just couldn't put it into words for the others to understand! He was not a master of words that could speak as well as they did. Despite the minor frustration of not being able to convey his idea via words, and his usual short temper, Hibiki tried to stay calm. "Yes, that is what we are doing. Kuro went ahead to find out how far he actually went by starting from whirlpool. If he didn't make it that far, he's going to wait for our mark before he tries to 'attack' him and try to push him back towards us, who won't be too far behind him..."
He paused briefly as an angry snarl built up into a growl. Hibiki's hands balled up into fists as he 'transformed' back into an upright position. A small crackle of electricity could be heard, "Gah! I don't know how to say it, but I know how the plan is supposed to work! We box, we feint, we overwhelm!" He tried his hardest to not get too angry with the other two 'newcomers', but it was hard when you do not have your other half there to stop you from getting that way.

Saikoro's eye twitched for a moment as he took a deep breath and turned his eyes to the distance that was before him. '. . . I now understand why it was so easy to dissemble and defeat these guys back in Frost. They're gun happy, not all that focused, and act before they think. I'm going to have to re-train them or kill them.' With a sharp movement, Saikoro moved himself in the lead of the rest of the group by several paces before coming to an immediate stop with his hands out to signal them to stop moving as well. "Hibiki, take a few deep breaths and relax. Don't get allow yourself to get flustered" He said simply, his eyes shifting to take a look at Kira who had stayed quiet all this time but nonetheless was traveling along with them.
"Alright, now there is five of us and I'm not particularly fond of moving a large group rapidly without a coherent plan of action. For simplicities sake we'll say there is four and count Hibiki and Kuro as one as it will be best to keep the two together rather than separate." The man said decisively, his tone darkening and leaving little room for argument. "We have two trackers and two combat specialists. It's not difficult to see how we'll be paired up, however while naturally team dynamics would dictate that Kyu would pair with Hibiki and myself with Kira as we have the most experience with said partners, I'm going to go against that.
Frankly put, Kira is the slowest member of our team but he also has the farthest range.. Excuse me but I did my research and gathered data on each of you and the rest of the squad you were apart of on your last mission... Back to the point, with Kira having the farthest range but being the slowest we need him to be in the front as a type of brick wall that target wont be able to push past. Kyu will be our striker, getting you to the front with Kira will be the smartest tactic so you can cut straight back down from the wall point to the target, this will also give you the most amount of time to prepare yourself. I will work with Kuro and Hibiki to keep the pressure on the target and flush him out with a bluff that we are coming to capture him but our role will simply be to shock and awe with large and showy attacks. We'll also provide a backrow wall that will prevent escape as Kyu strikes our unaware prey."
As Saikoro spoke, he switched eye contact with each of his appropriate team members, his voice keeping a stern and strong forcefulness in it that had worked in the past to demand respect and attention. Upon finishing his directions, he took a final look to each member before continuing, "If you have any questions, now is the time to ask. Otherwise, Kira, Kyu, get to the port and commandeer the fast vessel you can and make your way to cut ahead as Hibiki and I catch up to Kuro."

Hibiki was taken by surprise as Saikoro stopped the troupe. The sudden stop made Hibiki fall into a somersault before landing on his backside. He was told to relax by their new leader. Relax? RELAX?! How can we relax when some lousy criminal has important documents?! We don't have time to sit here and breathe, the longer we take sitting here, the harder it will be to track him! He began to breathe heavily as he bit down on his lip. While Saikoro went on and on about their new plan, Hibiki continued his own mental rant while trying to pay attention. It wasn't until he heard the words shock, awe, large, and showy attacks did his abysmal mood picked up.
Unleashing a vulpine-like shriek, Hibiki communicated with his Ninsune. He turned back to Saikoro, "I've told Kuro to stay put until we get there. He will not respond to give away his position either." He whirled around to Kyu, "Might as well hand me the tools now, along with your mic. Although, they won't be what I'm used to, I'll get used to them. Other then that, I'm ready to go Saikoro." The Inuzuka spoke quickly and quietly as he held out a hand to receive the items.

Saikoro's eye twitched yet again at the sudden loud noise, his fingers irritably and vainly trying to rub the sound out of his ears. "Keep your com-link, Kyu. You'll be moving separately at certain points, as will myself and Kira. Hibiki and Kuro will always be together so they will share, in the future I'll be sure to have one for Kuro as well." The man said as he waved his hand away at Kyu to not give Hibiki the mic. With a soft sigh, Saikoro walked on ahead in the direction that they had originally been moving but refrained from going to far as he still required Hibiki to lead him to Kuro.
Kira gazed off into the distance for a moment as he waited for the rest of his team to finish up with their exchange of items, his tongue softly flickering over his lips to moisten them as they had gotten dry from his lack of participation in the conversation. But there truly was no need for him to speak up, he agreed with Saikoro's words and would only follow his orders and since the man always took control for himself he rarely needed Kira's verbal support. Though in this instance he was completely agreeable with the plan... He barely knew the shark-like boy, in fact he didn't know him at all and the idea of suddenly working together with him and being separate from Saikoro made him slightly unease. Maybe it wouldn't have been as bad if it had been Hibiki, who had slightly bonded with earlier but as it stood he had yet to exchange words with Kyu ever since the brief and unpleasant moment on the ship. "Well, I guess it's time for us to head out then. All set?" Kira said softly to Kyu, Better late, then never.

Kyu bundled together his headset and the two ninja tool sets when they stopped. Kyu swung his arm to toss the set to Hibiki, but stopped in mid-swing when Saikoro objected. Kyu yanked his arm back, and pulled out the ear-pierce and transceiver from the set. With another crank of his arm, Kyu underhand-tossed the two bundles of gear, alerting Hibiki as he threw the set, "Heads up! Everything in there should be up to spec. Only basic village issue for you."
Kyu slipped the ear piece in again, and nodded as Saikoro and Hibiki moved out. Kyu turned to Kira, the other guy who seemed to tag along with Saikoro wherever he was. He didn't talk much, but apparently he was a tracker who was slow in speed, but had high-range attacks to work with. Kira looked awkward in a way. If one would guess, they would guess that he was uneasy or uncomfortable with the situation of being paired with a mostly unknown teammate.
Kyu ignored the boy's unease, He'll get over it. They all do. One minute they're not sure what to do with a new team, and the next they're working like they've been on the team as long as they can remember. Kyu reflected on one of his last missions as he adjusted his transceiver onto his collar again, I suppose I dropped the ball with Hibiki and Rinku. That mission didn't go well. I think I'm allowed to blame Hibiki's rebelliousness and Rinku's inexperience for that one though. Even I flipped my lid, after the attack on Kiri. We all did I suppose...
Kyu broke from his throughts when the radio clasped with a click onto his kevlar collar. Kyu piped up and looked into Kira's eyes, "I'm set, bro. Which way are we headed?"

Hibiki's eager face dropped a bit when he wasn't allowed to take Kyu's mic. He was used to issuing commands towards his canine ally without one, but he wouldn't mind giving up that luxury for the mission. "Ugh, basic gear." he growled in disgust as he caught the bundles flawlessly. He hitched up the bundle to his side, under his ginormous kiri-colored hoodie, and pocket the other for Kuro.
It could have been an animal-like sensitivity that Hibiki has grown accustomed to, but the aura around their troupe began to feel slightly uncomfortable. In fact, it seemed like Saikoro was the only one who was adapting to this new team formation more than the others. Hibiki shook his head to jumble up the ideas that were forming. "Good luck!" The Inuzuka said cheerfully, flashing an uncharacteristic thumbs up. He nodded once more before chasing after Kuro's scent on All-Fours. "Kuro is only three hundred and fifty meters from here!" He called out as he let a small chuckle escape his lips.

(Short post just to move this along)
Saikoro nodded his head in understanding, his weight pushing down all onto one foot before lunging out quickly after Hibiki, his body seeming to almost soar over the ground even through he was running.
Kira nodded his head towards a slightly different direction and began to walk, "We'll be heading out to the docks and taking a boat to the Whirlpool Country, so we don't need to rush in fact." He said softly as he walked on his, his pace still relatively fast as he was used to keeping up with Saikoro's own pace all the time.

It was actually late in the afternoon by the time Koji and Saikoro made it to the gate of the village, where things seemed to be mostly back in place and non reminiscent of the damage the village had sustained from months ago. "Good to see the place is back to normal, well at least it looks that way from here." Koji said with a slight smirk passing by the gatesmen who simply stared at teh couple, most likely astonished by the fact that Koji was alive and simply walking back into the village after having gone missing long ago. "Well Dice-San, I think we should head to the administrative building before we do anything, I'm not usually up for paper work and doing everything by the books, but I rather not stay on the books as a dead man or a deserter." Koji said looking back to his new team mate.

"Bah, no worries. I'll have our team mate take care of the paper work tonight, he should be somewhere in the village. I'll also have him submit you as the newest member of my team, they can get a report from you on another day." Saikoro said simply as he shuffled pass many of the onlookers. It was a curious thing, all the glances were, he couldn't tell if it was due to the sudden reappearance of Koji or the large national treasure that he carried on his back as though it was just any other sword.
With a soft sigh, the man took a turn off the main path and started heading towards the edge of the village where the new academy grounds was currently set up. "Right now, what we have in store is getting you back in shape. From what I saw on the road, all that time in captivity has done nothing good for your combat capabilities, so we're going to do some training with the academy students." He said with a soft chuckle as he continued on down the small path.

Watching Musica closely, it was more than clear that he was a cautious individual, perhaps it was a good thing to be so cautious of everyone, but with him being so uptight it would be hard to pry in and figure out why he would act that way. "No worries, about rudeness, I've been subject to far worse than that." Koji said with a smirk playing across his face, now eyeing down the rest of the field with memories of his time in the academy. Truthfully it had not been that long ago since he was here himself, and really he should be back here considering that he was in no state to represent the village until he began to develop himself and his own fighting style.
"And we actually are well done with this place, my friend here decided to bring us over here so if you want to know why we are here it's best that you ask him." Koji said. Although he knew that they came over to train he did not want to broadcast it to everyone else within the village that he had been held captive for a number of months and was beginning to lose his grip of ninjutsu control and even some basic taijutsu tactics. "But while we are here, I might as well train a bit, or maybe pick up a mission, or something along those lines." he said as he plopped down on the ground taking a meditative position as to focus his own chakra, and at the same time use it to strengthen his bodies electrical currents in order to manipulate them for attacks and other techniques that he would like to develop.

"Speak for yourself, Koji. I personally wouldn't tolerate too much lip from a stranger." Saikoro said with a sharpness in his tone as he finally rose up from his crouched position to face the boy completely. "In any case, we came here to train. What better place but to train then the academy, where the basics are meant to be formed and concreted at." The man said simply as he turned away to walk to the nearest tree. With an unnatural ease he hefted the giant national treasure from his back and set it down against the tree's trunk before also setting down his two katanas beside it and removing his hoodie to leave him in only his zipped up sweater, it's arms only reaching the end of his shoulder muscles.
Turning back to face the two, the man rolled his hands to allow the wrists to pop audibly, "But I found that one of the best type of training is through actual combat. Preferably controlled combat, so you can hone your instincts and reaction time and get to feel just how capable you are as well as just how effective certain ploys can be." He explained calmly, his bright blue eyes flicking from one boy to the next to see if they were catching on to where he was leading with his speech. "So how about it? You two versus me, you are free to attack me in any method and I will limit myself to the most basic of combat. Sound fair?"

Musica followed Saikoro with his eyes, trying to gain whatever knowledge he could from the way he moved. 'Strong. He noted as the man hefted the giant sword as if it were a feather. Musica's eyes widened, finally recognizing the sword for what it was. The Executioner's Blade. . . . He thought, watching the length of the sword gleam in the sunlight. The boy took half a step back without even noticing, shifting his gaze back to Saikoro. Musica quickly blinked the surprise from his face and crouched onto a half split, his right leg out. Explains those damn bells.
Musica shifted to his other leg and looked at Koji. The air around that one had a feel of power to it. Musica stood and did some stretching kicks. If his partner was anywhere close to the rumours that flew around Saikoro, then Musica was going to be in for a treat. The red head pulled his arms across his chest and looked at Saikoro again, this time smiling despite himself. "Sounds like a blast," He said. What was this sudden fire? Musica had no idea, nor did he care. "When do we start?"

"When ever you are ready to strike." Saikoro said simply, his bright blue eyes looking this way and that with a bored gleam in their expression. It seemed as though today was going to be a long day fulled with him babying the two kids before him but at least it would allow him to practice and retrain himself in the basics. "Alright. The basic deal will be that I am restrict to the most basic of my combat abilities, refraining from using any of my jutsu or more advanced taijutsu. If you can land at least five hits on me, you win. However if you get exhausted to the point where you can not attack any more, fall unconscious for whatever reason or give up, then I will win... and looser must pay for the winner's dinner." Saikoro said with a playful chuckle. Quote: Level: 30
