Lena
Lena, once again, came running into the green house. She had, once again, forgotten to water her plant. Angry at herself for having forgotten her poor umbrella plant once more, she ran over to it. She noticed it seemed a bit dry but otherwise unharmed and she took the nearest watering can. She quickly but carefully sprinkled water onto its soil and started to draw what her plant had looked like when she had entered the green house, afterwards adding observations. Lena started wondering if her little plant would last much longer.. She was ready to bet galleons that it was going to die within a few days.

Observations: -A leaf has appeared -Plant has grown a bit -Soil is a bit dry because I forgot to water it

Ghaleon Elmerast, Ravenclaw, 2nd Year
Ghaleon looked frantic after coming back to water his plant. He didn't know if he could save it after forgetting to water it in such a long time but resigned himself that he should at least still try, and promptly watered his plant again. "Just don't die little one. Promise to keep this up even after the lesson ends to make it up to you." he said to the plant rather apologetically.

Harmony Trumarie...
Harmony entered the Greenhouse, sketchbook in hand with a scowl. She was going to try and draw today. Harmony grabbed her pot in both hands, sketchbook between her side and arm, and placed it near a closed window so it could get more sunlight. She watered her plant and it instantly perked up. Harmony began to sketch her plant with a pencil, enjoying the sunlight of the class.

Ghaleon Elmerast, Ravenclaw, 2nd Year
Ghaleon came in to make sure to water his plant. Just doing his best to make sure it keeps on living at this point.((Should I even do the sketching at this point? I don't mind if you still want me too of course, just asking since I missed watering for a few days.))

Lena
Day seven. Lena entered the green house and skipped over to her plant. What a surprise! She hadn’t forgotten! When she got to her work spot, she observed her plant and drew as well as took notes on what she could see. She was disappointed. Nothing much had happened.. The stem had grew maybe two to three centimetres..

Observations: The stem has grown a bit.
She picked up the watering can that was still on her desk since yesterday. Agumenti! It filled with water and she cautiously sprinkled the soil with a bit of water.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Day eight. Having still not forgotten her little plant, Lena entered the greenhouse yet again and walked over to it. As she observed it, she suddenly felt a leap of joy. A bloom could be seen! It was closed, but it was clearly a bloom! She took out her book and started to draw what she could see.

Observations: A bloom had appeared.
She picked up the same watering can and, being already filled with water since she hadn’t poured it all on her plant yesterday, she gingerly tipped it over as to let a bit of the water fall onto the soil. She walked out of the greenhouse, wondering what the flower would look like once the bloom opened. If it even opened.. She pushed that thought away, her poor little plant would not die like the others had. It would survive! Would it be blue? Pink? She couldn’t wait until a flower appeared.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Day nine. Lena entered the greenhouse, a bit in a hurry, to see if the bloom had changed. When she got to her plant, to her great joy, she saw that the bloom had opened a bit and the ends of magenta petals could be seen. Lena happily began to draw what her plant looked like. She then added observations.

Observations: Bloom has opened a bit. Two centimetres of the ends of seven magenta coloured petals can be seen.
Lena picked up the same watering can as the day before and slowly tipped it to let a little of its water fall onto the soil.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Day ten. Lena, wishing to see if the bloom had opened more rushed into the greenhouse and ran over to her plant. As she arrived at its sides, she was thrilled. The bloom had completely opened to reveal a beautiful flower the size of a muggle CD. It had seven petals of an amazing magenta and had a yellow centre. She started drawing down the elegant flower. It was so beautiful she decided to draw a close up of the flower and its petals. She finished her work by adding observations.

Observations: Bloom has opened up to reveal a seven petal flower of a dark shade of magenta. It is twelve centimetres in diameter and has a yellow centre of two centimetres.
She then, for almost the tenth time, picked up a watering can that was on a nearby desk and carefully sprinkled water onto her plant’s soil. She skipped out of the greenhouse, proud, for once, of not having killed a plant in the first ten days of it life.

Ghaleon came into the classroom and watered the plant, still not seeing any change, but he hardly expected to see any results this fast after missing so many days anyway.

Ghaleon, you could sketch the days you remembered to water it, (and for the days you missed it, you could have a made-up piece of work XD You know what it's like in school...)
And that's fine if you have other schooling, education is important (in fact, I've got exams which is why I set up this little project so you had something to do.)
Hm.... but Lena, I'm think the manure content's not high enough, it's not growing as quickly as expected. It seems it is very sensitive to having the right amount of water. Despite that, well done, you have a bloomed flower. Have 5 points for Gryffindor. Keep caring for it though.
I wonder if my other pupils are absent due to exams...

Lena
Lena skipped into the green house and walked over to her plant. The stem had grown a little, but that was about the only change since yesterday. She drew its appearance and wrote down an observation.

Observations: Stem has grown a bit
Then she heard Professor Stars tell her that her plant probably had a lack of manure since it wasn’t growing as fast as it should, and Lena turned around, surprised. Plants never grew this fast and this was considered slow? Wow.. Oh, alright! Thanks, Professor. I’ll add more manure right away. Lena wasn’t sure what she was going to do but since the Professor was busy, she decided to try and figure out a solution on her own. She picked up an empty ceramic pot from the pile and brought it to her desk. She carefully, with her hands, started removing a bit of the soil that was in her pot and dropped it into the empty one. When Lena had carefully removed about half the soil from the pot, trying not to rip the roots of her plant, she slowly and gently started tugging at the stem and roots of the plant, trying to get it out. When she did so, without ripping or tearing any bits of root, she placed the plant onto her desk, made sure to have a nose pin and went to get a scoop of dragon manure. She took half of the scoop of dragon manure, put it into her pot and mixed it using her gloved hands. When it was well mixed, Lena took the soil she had removed from her pot as well as the other half of the dragon manure and poured it into her pot. She once again mixed it and after a few minutes, when she thought the two ingredients were mixed enough, she took half of it and placed it back into the pot she had just picked from the pile. She then carefully picked up her plant, placed it into her pot and gently put back the soil that was in the other pot around it. Lena finished her work by sprinkling a bit of water onto the improved mixture of soil and dragon manure. Done! She quietly said to herself, putting the empty pot away and walking out of the greenhouse. She knew she had probably given herself more work then would have been needed, but at least she knew she had done her best and accomplished what she had wanted to do, even if it had taken more time and trouble.
