Silence. Maybe it had been to early to come. He might be asleep. Or perhaps the senior was ignoring him. The kitsune felt his heart get stabbed. The tears welled on the edge of showing themselves, but never came. Mitsuko bit his lip and fought the suffering pain of Haikimaru's silence.. in silence. He felt a shiver go up his back as he felt the slightest rushing of air, and turned to see a familiar head of flowing brown hair running down the hall. Malinois? The kitsune couldn't be sure, and returned back to the task at hand. How to speak to someone in another room who was ignoring you?.. or possibly asleep. The boy fidgeted nervously. Pulling at his sleeves as he continued to stare at his feet cowardly. He couldn't take this much longer. "Haikimaru-sama?" He said a bit louder, this time in a normal tone instead of a half-whisper. But the freshman's voice didn't last long, and returned to a quieter tone. ".. May this one come in?" He asked meekly. His dark emotionless eyes hid the hurt, but his body language exposed his true feelings. His tail lay still in his pants, despite it having its own mind a few minutes ago. The end curled around the bottom of his pant leg nervously, his ears dropping down sadly. He had dishonored Haikimaru's wish to be left alone and had come back. He had left on Haikimaru's words that he should leave. He had let himself be dragged into this by Haikimaru and played along with his silly pranks and "games". He had felt the connection between them pass a certain point to where Haikimaru stopped playing around. The senior had become more caring and open.. Then he had hurt Haikimaru somehow. He couldn't remember what had happened that morning clearly. He felt lost, in need of guidance, and the only one he could think of to turn to was Haikimaru. Maybe it was all his fault. He had to make things right again. He had to put his foot down. Instead the kitsune stood there awkwardly, staring blankly at his feet to hide his eyes from the boy that would never open the door for him again.. would never see his eyes or act like he ever existed. He felt sick to his stomach, but the tears still didn't come. It was a first. He was at a loss for what to do or say that would make The senior talk to him again.. or at least show some sort of life from behind the door. He wished for at least a letter, a word, a sentence, anything as long as Haikimaru spoke to him. It didn't even have to be toward him, it could be to himself or to another person. He wanted to listen to Haikimaru's voice again. Watch his lips move to form those words, hateful or loving. Look into his deep indigo eyes. Touch his hair if it wasn't going to far, which it probably was.. He wanted to see Haikiamru again. Even if just for a moment before the door was slammed in his face. Great, he was already thinking the worst.. although the most likely of situations that would happen. He was only beating himself up, but he couldn't help himself.

If Haikiamaru had not been an animal type monster he would have never heard Mitsuko's question. The differences in the voice of his secret love tugged at his heart strings. Nothing was alright. The purple hair kitsune placed his long arm across his eyes. The position was similar to what a person would look like if they had woken up due to the sun in their eyes. It wasn't the sun in Haikimaru's eyes it was his tears. He let out a sob that he had been holding it. In the hand of the same arm was once the matchmaking paper before it had been dropped. The senior was able to repress the other ones and think about his response. "It's your room too." He answered in a loud voice. He was sure Mitsuko could hear him. The senior stayed in that position. If it moved away it would just show his didn't want to look at Mitsuko. It was just the opposite. Haiki wanted to stare into his eyes and kiss his beautiful lips. Haiki knew that staying there still would be the best choice as to not draw attention more than he wanted. He could look or talked to the roommate with out the feeling of wanted to cry or sorrow. The thought that Mitsuko would run off again was event worst.

The lifting of his heart, as if it had been brought back to life in his chest upon Haikimaru's words. He hadn't expected that. true it was his room as well, but the senior had been serious about wanting Mitsuko to leave at the time.. he wondered if it didn't matter so much anymore. He hopped he wasn't overdoing it by coming here. The boy's hand was almost instantly on the door handle, but he paused. True the senior had spoken to him, but he didn't sound enthusiastic. That was the only thing that stopped him, and he forced it aside in his mind as painlessly as possible, and opened the door. Clumsy feet striked again. This ones such a cluts. He decided painfully as he caught himself after tripping on his way inside. His cheeks lighting up to become a bright scarlet.. Quietly he closed the door behind him, averting his gaze downward, away from Haikimaru. He held his tongue, seeing the small mess of fliers around the other boy. Curious, he wondered what they were, but kept silent as he walked up to Haikimaru after taking off his shoes. Mitsuko's breathing was slow and quiet, he seemed to be holding his breath. Here he was, staring down the destroying angel once again, finally able to speak to the other, but unable to utter a word. Guilt, one things he usually felt the least, welled up in his chest. Being a kitsune, it was an unusual feeling, but not completely foreign. But.. why was he guilty? Mitsuko had done nothing wrong, and found no reason toward the feeling in his stomach at the moment. The only thing that came up was that he hadn't eaten much besides that morning and a few chocolates of what Sakura had given him.. which reminded him he had left them in Mal's room, and the fact that he still smelt of Mal.. but he could get the chocolates tomorrow. His eyes finally reached Haikimaru, but the senior didn't look interested in the least. Mitusko's building emotions stacked, the tears that wouldn't come slowly threatening to cascade over. Quickly, he thought. In one swift movement Mitsuko had his head bowed respectfully and his hands placed across the floor, facing fingers, in front of him as he knelt. His ears down, and his tail sprawled out behind him, limp as it stretched out from its usual spot in his pants. He felt a small tingle in the back of his stomach shoot up to his heart, like an electric spark. He needed to apologize first, if nothing else, before he became mute once more. His voice was quiet as he forced his tears to stay inside, his eyes shut tightly. His dark bangs hid his face, his ears flat on his head until they would have disappeared if they weren't white. "Haikimaru-sama.." The kitsune started, connecting the emotions inside his head into speakable dialect. "This one.. needs to apologize, that he does." He fought back tears, "I was cowardly, confused, and insecure.. I only left because you told me too. Which I now know was my mistake. That it was.. I shouldn't have left you." He paused. Summarizing it all before speaking louder, tears starting to stream down his cheeks to his hands and the floor. "I'm hurt. I'm hurt and I want you back. Please, Haikimaru.." The freshman begged, knowing Haikimaru was so close yet so distant. He couldn't reach him if Haikimaru didn't want him to. He hopped Haikimaru would forgive him, embrace him once more in his arms and things would be back to normal. But another side of him, one that was distant at this time, hoped not.. it was only thinking of the changeling he had left for this. And yet, deep down inside, he felt like dying. He had hurt one person, he could easily do the same again if he wasn't careful. He had left games, a lost life of meandering and drifting for god knows how much longer, for this.. He didn't even know how long he had been alive. No birthday, no memories, no family, no social background besides BSing people who cheated on Halo and other online games and watching all kinds of movies. Mitsuko; he was lost from the beginning. He belonged no where.

Haikimaru could hear every creak and crack as Mitsuko came closer and closer to him. The senior wanted to yell out not to get any closer to him. He didn't because that would probably make things worst. In knew he really just wanted to grabbed his junior and squeeze him and never let the boy out of his sight. His arm continued to hide his eyes. The tears seemed to flow now. The kitsune only hoped that the other wouldn't notice them. He didn't want the red eyes that he had had the whole time be known to anyone. Haikimaru did his best to peek in a way he hoped Mitsuko wouldn't notice. He knew he had to say something. He could just do nothing. That was also bad. "Mitsuko-kun, I never left you, you were the one who left me." Haiki wanted to know that he was always here for Mitsuko. Even if it wasn't romantically. "I will tell you this. I have never been wounded in a sword fight, but, my body hurts all over. In ways it took me a while to understand how." The kitsune continued trying for the right words that seemed to be missing. He took in a breath that was like a gasp or a sob. "I don't want to continue this cat and mouse game. I want to know if I can't have you fully could I at least have part of you." Again he took in another breath like the last one. It showed he was in some type of pain. "I want to start slowly. We could see others while seeing each other." The senior didn't know if those were the right words to say. It sounded rather blunt.

Mitsuko lifted his bow, but still knelt, his head down and his fists resting on his thighs as he listened closely to the other kitsune. Tears wouldn't stop, and he forced them back as best he could. They still slowly streamed down his face, warming his cheeks. A stabbing pain in his heart, so it HAD been his fault. And.. Haikimaru was crying. He had made Haikimaru cry. It was his turn to be supportive. He knew what he could do to help the other kitsune. He bit his lip to stop himself from speaking-although he probably couldn't anyway-, to slow his tears. He continued to listen to his roommate attentively, although avoiding eye contact by hiding the salty drops under his bangs. Which probably failed, as he watched the last few drip onto his fists before being replaced by a couple more. He wiped the last few remaining away, that would be that. Haikimaru wanted it to stop. He wanted to know if he could still be Mitsuko's, or at least a part. The boy's hands shook, and he got the shivers as he wiped the last of his tears away. He wasn't scared, maybe it was gold? no, he felt a growing warmth spread through him. Haikimaru wanted him back and thats all that mattered. He gained his confidence back, and took charge of the situation as he calmed himself down, his shivering stopped, and it became easier to control the transformation he was going through. Slowly, the fur on his back started to recede, the small strands of silver in his hair disappeared, and his dark black eyes softened, warming back to their original shade of green. A few seconds after Haikimaru had finished speaking, he suddenly found himself on top of the other, doing his best to gingerly pull away the other's arm so he could see his face, his other hand's fingers going over his cheeks to wipe away some of Haikimaru's tears. "I said I didn't want to hurt you, and I did.." He said as he leaned in. "I'm sorry." His eyes were sincere as he stared deeply into Haikimaru's eyes. "As long as I'm here with you I'm yours." He promised. Deep in his own eyes, a warm feeling of happiness spread through him. He then cuddled down, lying on the bigger kitsune's chest, resting his head on the other's collarbone. It seemed oddly familiar as his small white ears wiggled in front of Haikimaru's nose. On the other hand, Mitsuko's own nose was going on overdrive. Haikimaru's scent filled his lungs with the burning need for more. He nuzzled the other boy's collar, noting he probably hadn't bathed. But then again neither had he.

Haikimaru flinched has he found his roommate body against his. He loved his feeling, however, this is not what he would call slow. Couldn't Mitsuko even wait for the first date? Maybe the damage was already done and Mitsuko couldn't be around without him. The purple haired man knew he would have to try taking it slow before he abandoned the idea because of the person on him. Haiki was about to wrap his free hand around Mitsuko when the boy gave him another surprise. His hand was moved before he had time to react. Now Haiki could stare it into Mitsuko's green eyes. Though his own eyes were redden because of all the crying over Mitsuko. He was not going to let Mitsuko think he was weak. Haikimaru wrapped both arms around Mitsuko waist and pulled the boy into a hug. "You're like a favorite toy I lost, but, found again." He commented as he prepared to say some really hard words. For someone else it may have been easier, then again, this was a noble and prideful kitsune. "I'm sorry for putting you on the spot." He finally said after a few failed tries and some stuttering. At least he was able to get the words out. "A rules still apply with dating each other." He added. Back to his same prideful self. He would not so much affection in public. They had to do it slow anyways.

Favorite toy. The words rung loud in Mitsuko's ears even as he was embraced by the other, accepted back. So did this mean he was special in his roommate's eyes?.. or just Haikimaru's toy? But then came the small voice in his head, the distrustful little evil voice that stalked all his thoughts. 'The boy could be lying.' But there was no time to be negative, no time to judge the other. Haikimaru was Haimikaru and Mitsuko was Mitsuko, no matter what. He would believe that the other kitsune had felt the same as he had for him. Upon hearing Haikimaru stutter, trying to speak up, only to put himself down. He swallowed, bitting back tears that threatened to return. He wasn't going to agree, but he wasn't going to deny the statement either. He couldn't blame Haikimaru for trying to pry into his life before. He would have been curious as well to learn about the other's past.. The kitsune buried his face into Haikimaru's chest. He felt secure with the Senior's arms around him, he felt safe. But he wasn't ready to show everyone his secrets anytime soon, he wasn't ready to expose his problems and trouble everyone with his past. The last thing he needed was sympathy. He hated sympathy, unless it was used to trick people or he had something to gain from it, he loathed it. Although he wouldn't do that today, he had changed, he was more mature and thoughtful of his actions and how they affected others. The hardest part was when you set foot into the unknown emotions and become completely lost on what to do. He would have to experiment in order to figure it all out.. but now it was too late. All that was lest to do was to wing it, and go with his gut. That was all he really had been doing while with Haikimaru and Mal. He guessed what was all that was left, to do what felt right. Right now his world was spinning. The world's boundry lines had been broken. Haikimaru was crying, his Haikimaru, he had made him cry, he had hurt him. It HAD been his fault, for being overprotective of his secrets and misunderstanding his roommate. Along with running away from the situation, he had done wrong by avoiding confrontation with his boyfriend. All this at once, the time, the smell, the warmth, the emotion.. it was all starting to make the already sleepy boy.. well, sleepy. Mitsuko was beginning to doze off. His breathing was evening out, one of his ears twitched. He move his head to rest his cheek, so he could see more clearly before yawning silently, closing his eyes. "You shouldn't be sorry.." The boy found himself saying quietly before moving into a low whisper. "I've never dated before.." He spilled, honestly, before darkness took over. He was out like a light. He hadn't napped today and the stress from worrying about his roommate all day, along with running around to avoid thinking much of the current situation of that morning, hadn't given him any piece of mind to do so. But he was calm now, he had his answer, he could relax soundly in the safety of his boyfriend's arms without worry. Haikiamru still wanted him, and he could have him.

Haikimaru couldn't believe that he had said those words. He couldn't believe that the word sorry came out of his mouth. He couldn't believe how Mitsuko had changed him. What happened to him? He was crying. No one could make him cry in the past. No one. How had Mitsuko gotten him to open in up? The kitsune stopped he heard Mitsuko's few words and found the freshman sleeping on his chest. Again this was not what the senior meant when he said take it slowly. Haikimaru smiled and moved his hands so it was on the boys upper back. He didn't care. Mitsuko was still in his arms. He never really left. Haiki would have to teach Mitsuko how to be a proper couple. Though he would have to keep his affection in public to the standards in Japanese society. What happened in the movies didn't really happen in real-life. Haikimaru found his own eyes falling. He stared at the wall. Mitsuko would get cold if he wasn't under a blanket and Haikimaru was laying on his own. The purple-haired man grabbed Mitsuko's since it was in arms reach and pulled it over them. He then returned his hands to touch Mitsuko body.

The sleeping Kitsune stirred whilst his roommate moved slightly to cover them with new warmth. His right ear twitched, and he slowly took a deep breath before exhaling. Mitsuko was still wearing the Mal-scented clothes, although it was slowly being overrun by the stronger scent of the two kitsune's room. Although he didn't think it now, he was probably annoying Haikimaru with his presence. He should have known his roommate was probably only saying it to be nice, even playing along. He probably even had Mitsuko in the palm of his hand, like it was all planned.. If he had realized it sooner, maybe while he was awake, he would have changed, or at least moved to his own bed. But when he came back, when Haikimaru told him he would still accept him, he was just too overcome to care or think straight. He probably missed a bit of what his roommate had said to him, but he wouldn't know if it was important information or not until later.

Haikimaru was still a little happy even if it was a little fast. Mitsuko was safe and with him. The kitsune leaned in and took took a whiff of his partner. The animals noise pulled back and frowned. There was some strangers scent all over him. He would remember this scent for later. He found his new target to bully. He would defend his prize. Mitsuko would need a bath once the boy was awake. Make that both of them because now the scent was rubbing off on him. There would need to be a clothing change and washing to complete it. Sakura scented items were called for. Haikimaru liked the scent and often used it. The senior made a growl before calming down and laid his head back. ((Now that I think about it. Mind you I've only seen one episode. Yes they do.))

What a wonderful feeling. Being in the rightful place. The warm place. His safe place. In Haikimaru's arms. He was on the edge of consciousness and sleep.. and he stayed fixed as if his mind couldn't decide whether or not to dream or wake. Reality that he wanted, or the truth behind the reality he wanted. It seemed like forever was just a second, but not yet time wasting. He couldn't wake or sleep, until he felt the cool morning air brush his cheek. It pawed at his face, calling him back to consciousness. The warmth around him was true. The smell, strong, but in need of a bath. The sound of his own slow, steady breathing. As well as the Senior's own. Supporting comfort. It wasn't a dream. It had happened. The Freshman snuggled closer to Haikimaru, stretching out his left leg until it fell out of their protective blankets, and he yawned. A shiver went up the boy's back as the feeling the cold between his toes cleared his mind somewhat. He quickly recoiled it back beneith the safeness of the covers. Was it Saterday or Sunday? He couldn't tell, but hoped he could just sleep in, stay within the safety of the Senior's arms. Which reminded him, he hadn't known whether or not they had any days off. He knew American's had two.. perhaps the High school let them as well? Mitsuko sighed, just hoping the moment would last.

Haikimaru had the pressure on his belly from Mitsuko's weight all night. Not that the boy was fat and Haiki out of shape, but his stomach growled a little. He wasn't used a workout while he was sleeping. Haikimaru was still unsure of the feeling of the boy against him. He did love the boy and his warmth, but, there was a moral question of them as a couple. They weren't a couple, but, Mitsuko seemed not to care about it. Haikimaru didn't want to wake up because everything was a dream. The fight never happened and Mitsuko's was him the whole time. He was with Mitsuko and he was free to flirt. Haikimaru couldn't continue his sleep, but, he did want to wake up his little lover. There was a chance for some 'innocent' fun. Haiki moved his arm and pushed up Mitsuko's shirt. With the other he went for the boys pants. He could just say he was asleep if Mitsuko snapped at him and it was just a habit he had. Maybe employ his cousins into his bidding and use them as a cover.
