"Really really," Joker said, smiling. He took a look back into the closet, and said, "I'll show you one more, then off to bed with you. Keep some of them for another time. Okay?"

Rosie brightened a bit, and her eyes sparkled with interest. "Okay!" she replied happily.

The clown put the shark attack suit back, and looked around. There were a fair nimber of suits, all ruined in some way, shape, or form. There were two that were completely covered in dust, but one also had blood on it. One suit, though intact, had blood all over the front of it. There ware also some clothes that weren't suits at all. A pair of purple coveralls, some clothes that looked like they'd be better suited for a tropical vacation, something that looked like a king's clothing. None of these looked like there was anything wrong with them. The Joker held on to these for rememberance as well, but not beause he nearly died in them. Except for the king outfit. He had no recollection of what that was about; Mr. Mxyzptlk had wiped the mind of everyone in existence of their memories of Emperor Joker. Joker was simply left with the impression that the clothes were important somehow, so he held on to them. Looking through the array of clothing, he finally said, "Hey, here's an idea... How about YOU pick one, and I'll tell you about it."

Rosie grinned and looked at each outfit, inspecting them carefully. This was the last one before bed time after all. Her eyes lingered on the tropical outfit for a moment, then the dusty bloody one, and then the king's suit. Her eyes rested curiously on the king's suit, then went back over to the tropical suit. They sat there for quite a while...then she glanced over at the dusty and bloody suit and pointed to it. "How about that one?" she asked.
She did want to know about the two others....but they looked like they'd be good for another night.

"Ah, that one..." the Joker pulled out the indicated suit, turning it on its hanger. "This one, was from when a building fell on top of me."

"I was under the impression that I was about to die of cancer," the Joker began. "That was later revealed to be a fabrication. However, in an attempt to go out with a bang, I developed Joker Venom, a gaseous compound that made whoever inhaled it crazy enough to act like I would if I had their powers, abilities, and technology. I used it on a couple of other villains, and they eventually flipped out on me. Can't really blame them, I'd have felt the same way... Come to think of it, that was the point, wasn't it? Heh. Anyways, in retaliation, they ruined the structural integrity of the building, and brought it down on top of me. Strangely enough, it wasn't very long after that that the heroes came in and cured them."

Rosie smiled and looked back at the bloody and dirtied outfit. "Well...it's a good thing you did make it out." she said, glancing back at him.

Joker smiled and said, "I do, but it'll keep for a little longer. You get cleaned up for bed. Go on, no dirty children allowed in their beds!" He meant that for sure; bed bugs were atrocious to try to get rid of.
