The shadows around Saiko seemed to solidify, engulfing him and compressing, he disappeared, as if never there, not a drop of blood remaining, the arm dissolving into black motes that floated before burning in the air. Leaving a trail of sparks floating on the breeze.
Backing up he moved too slowly, one of the sparks touched him and exploded, the displaced air snapping back into place tearing open his jacket and throwing him into the trees with the groaning of tree branches as he slammed into the trunk of a tree, gasping for breath, giving himself a second, watching other sparks, hoping the breeze didn't shift in his direction.

Sparks slowly fizzled out and he stood, rooted to the spot by his fear of the devestating powr of the sparks, and the fractured rib he was nursing on his right side. He coughed softly, zipping his jacket back up all the way and sliding up the hood so the cowl made an outline around his head.
"Veritate Amor Fidelus"
He said softly, under his breath, reaching inoto his jacket and pulling out a small round metal pendant fastened around his neck by a black twine necklace, kissing it gently pushing the cold metal to his lips he closed his eyes for a second and put it back into his jacket, moving slowly he got bearings on his surroundings, he had felt the heat of that mans shadows form a distance and come rushing, because he was an idiot, and had known nothing else to do.
Blinding softly he frowned, making the small green crescent tatooed under his eye lengthen, an odd image, but he moved, slowly, the booots clicking off of underbrush and roots alike, looking for the young woman he had seen.
