"I had no idea you could sing like that, love," he remarked quietly. "I ain't got much of a voice, but I'll give it my best shot." He sat up straight, feeling pangs of guilt at Aivi's hot tears soaking his shirt. Tyler cleared his throat and began to sing a song as well, in a soft voice, his southern accent temporarily abandoned.

Ellie smiled a bit at his compliment, Aivi having fell asleep by the time her song was finished. "Thank you." She murmured, leaning down to kiss him. "That song is one of my favorites." When he began to sing, she sat back and listened intently to the words. She recognized the song right away, as yet another favorite song of hers was by the same artist. When he was finished, she nodded in approval. "Nice. Jimmy Eat Worlds, right?"

"Yep. Not my usual thing, but it's a good song, in all respects." He absently stroked Aivi's long hair as he spoke. "How's the rest of the camp doing? All the vampires got plenty to drink?" he asked, still tasting his own blood. He himself was finished drinking for the foreseeable future.
