Had my confidence undermined by Kyrenx: 1-0.

Soooooo close.... soooo effing close....

I honestly had no intentions of ending that match that closely but all the same, I wasn't going to be taken down that easily. Not to say I underestimated your team there Gamefreak, but your uncanny luck made the first half of that battle like "quicksand" for me.

Yeah, I bet it did. I've actually been thinking about that last part, where it was 3-1 in my favor. If I had predicted what your Pokemon was about to do, I may have actually been able to counter it and win 3-0. Of course, the past is the past, so I'll just try to find my next leader to test myself against.

It's a bit trival to dispute it as you said "the past is the past", but regardless, Rotom didn't stand a chance and I think at best, you could of gotten away with 2-0 if you had taken advantage of my miscalculation with the substitute. My Serenade isn't a one-trick pony afterall.

Well, one of my thoughts was if I had had Rotom use Substitute, while you protected, that would've been successful. Then you wouls Shadow Ball, killing the Sub but not Rotom, then Thunderbolt would've most likely eliminated Serenade. But, best thing to do is learn from my mistake and move on. If I'm as lucky as I was in the first half of our battle I may just win this after all.

Win... lose, it doesn´t really matter... I´ll care more about how the people take the win or the lose...

On my side... I´ll rather say... Im impressed by such a come back... from 3-1 to win the match.. Ky, I want to hear details of such a thing, I hope you don´t mind sending me a PM with details... (don´t worry pal... I already battled you so I won´t get any inside strategy)... Im curious

Personally, I find it quite pathetic how no one can simply say "good game" when they lose a battle... always excuses: "If I had (whatever) I would've won". Seriously, is so freaking childish...

i have to agree unless its something like just discussing the what ifs about the battle and admiting mistakes.

No need to be so harsh guys, our discussion is more about reflecting on the battle and not so much "sulking" as it may (or may not) be coming out sounding like. I know I honestly admit that I made two mistakes in that battle that could of cost me the entire match and both ironically consisted on the use of Protect, luck was just on my side come the end of the match. 3nodding

Dang.
Because of my stupid sister pissing off my parents, my WEP Key was changed.
I am trying to get it ASAP so I can battle. I will be available at night every day this week. PM me please if you wish to battle me.

Well, I guess I'm free partially on Monday for battles and if not then, Friday + Saturday + Sunday, I should be open to battle. pirate

I have a question on the mono-type rule for registration. If a Pokemon has 2 types can he be put in either of the registered position? Like Gallade, its a Psychic and Fighting type, would it be allowed into either Psychic or a Fighting Gym?

Yeah, gallade can be in both gyms. Just as long as one of a pokemon's type is the same as the gym type.

That has essentially already been answered on the first page, kp_anthony:

F.A.Q.
Q: What is a mono-type team?

A: A mono-type team is a Pokemon team consisting of one similar type. A Mono-Fire type team would include the likes of Ninetails, Charizard, Infernape and Arcanine because they all share a single similiar type (ie-Fire).

Ninetails is Fire, Charizard is Fire/Flying, Infernape is Fire/Fighting and Arcanine is Fire. All of which are legal in a Mono Fire-type team.

Lost to Aria G. Took out 2 but got swept after that. I should have gone with team support rather than switch prevention. Oh well you battle you learn. Losing is the only real way to know where your weaknesses lie and I still have 5 battles to go for. I can only afford 2 more losses though at most. Hopefully this will be my last loss for this try out.

I say good game but I like to talk about where my weaknesses lie cause if I don't talk about it with someone it might not stick as well as if I just try to commit it to memory. My loss against Dark was pretty guaranteed due to my bad predictions and predicting correctly would have only taken me so far, but I gotta think about everything I did wrong and try to learn from those as well as balance better for the next match.

I mean it's discussion right? You have a match, you just say good game, then that's it? No discussion? No friendly banter? That gets kinda boring. If I wanted to do that I would just fight on Pokemon Battle Revolution.

It's been way too long since I've battled. My team building is a bit rusty on the mono types.

Hey guys. Long time no talk.

So who's looking like the next gym leader right now?

Who knows... only 12 out of the 24 registered trainers have battled any gym... and most of them hardly have fought 2 or 3...

It is still anyone´s chance... but Yokubo´s and Andy2extreme...

Right now, Kirashimu is our current "go-ahead winner". If no one can match or beat his score within the next week, he will be crowned the first Ice-type Gym Leader of D/P Gaming. I bet he's really cheering on the current gym leaders right about now. pirate

Also as Serge has already pointed out, Yokubo and Andy right now are currently the only ones who have already been eliminated. Many props to them for fully completing the challenge though.
