The chamber responded with a low rumble. The shaking shifted upwards from the floor and into the stone, which vibrated violently against the ground.

Suddenly it burst. Thousands of small, crystalline fragments spread throughout the room in an instant. A small cloud puffed straight into Sai's mouth, which she promptly inhaled. It was cold, so dreadfully cold. And yet, somehow, it was oddly comforting. It was freezing to the point that normal ice would be warm to the touch, yet it did not sting.

The light bounced off each fragment as it passed through them, creating a shimmering curtain all around her. It settled on it quietly, extending her body and adjusting her proportions. Her mane and tail seemed to burn away as if they had caught fire, leaving a thin, sleek tail and neck in their places. As each crystal settled down, it took on the blue color of a Glaceon.

After the few seconds it took for the cloud of crystal to fall to the ground, Sai had evolved.

Sai loosened her tensed position carefully as one of her eyes opened... It was over right?
She blinked and looked down at her paws, jumping in shock. Sai spun around in a circle quickly, checking over what she could she of herself before giggling and pushing her glasses up onto her nose.

She gazed up at the chamber again, thankfully in a sense before spinning in place and padding out happily.

Kaiyou

The Marshtomp sighed softly to himself, stepping inside the chamber. Though he'd known that he'd eventually planned on evolving, he hadn't known that his decision would be so sudden, or so overshadowed by the injury of a teammate.
He was worried for Ketsueki. Stubborn and playful as she was, he knew he better than to think that her loss of sight wouldn't affect who she was inside. He didn't know how their team would change without such a crucial part of them, either, if she got worse.
Kai inhaled deeply, trying to press the thoughts from his mind. Suki could not get worse; the doctors wouldn't let that happen. It was just a matter of time, before things returned to normal, he supposed.
The blatant lie to himself resting heavy on his conscience, the Marshtomp looked up at the crystalline ceiling.
"I'd like to evolve, please." Came the Water-type's low, depressed growl. His voice, he suspected, was about to change again. He might as well hear his old one just one more time.

Kaiyou's fearful frustration ignited appealed to the undefined consciousness of the chamber, a quick flash of bright red light accompanying the Marshtomp's words directly after he spoke. From there the chamber seemed to darken ever so slightly before the strangest chiming noise filled the room; up above him the hanging crystals were rattling in place, their normally stagnant state disrupted as they clanked against each other more and more vigorously, some even falling from their precarious perch and shattering against the equally hard floor. Once done fearing the possibility of death from above and dodging the sharpened crystals as they drop, Kai would come to realize that his body has taken an entirely different form while this all was happening.

Kaiyou

Kaiyou let out a sharp cry of alarm, diving to the side, and throwing a protective barrier around himself as the chamber seemed to collapse around him. He didn't know what was going on, but he strongly suspected an earthquake of some sort.
He blinked, suddenly, feeling quite confused; the palace didn't rest anywhere near a fault line. So, either there was some sort of attack being launched nearby, or it was another unusual twist for the chamber to throw at him.
He let the shield fall around him, jumping slightly in surprise as the final, tiny crystal fell and shattered in front of his feet. Strangely enough, though, no crystals appeared to be broken from the ceiling, and no shattered bits of crystal lay in the sand around where he stood.
It took a full moment for the impact to strike home, as he realized that the ceiling was much closer, and the floor much further. He'd grown in size by a lot, and his body felt stronger, more energetic. He flexed his muscles curiously, examining his appearance. He was decent-looking enough, he supposed. He just hoped that Aryan and his team would accept the new form he had taken.
Silently, he left the chamber for what he hoped was the last time. The chamber seemed particularly violent toward him this time around.

Rico

"I WILL BE A FLYING LIZARD THING!"
Rico cleared his throat and stepped into the chambers, looking around.
Hadn't really changed since the last time he was here.

The sand and crystal around Rico began to glow, the orange light starting dim, and gradually beginning to brighten. The crystals seemed to merge, melting into a thick, molten sludge that dripped from the ceiling and poured down the walls. The heat was intense, and even the Charmeleon would be feeling a little hot under the collar.
The molten sand swirled in a wide circle around him, hissing and splattering angrily. It seemed to swell up, rising around him like a wave, and crashed down over his head.
It splashed across him, but the searing pain never came. In its place, came a soothing warmth, that filled him from the inside out. His body warmed, changing shape in the same, strange way that the molten crystals had. Melting, shifting, even oozing.
It was several moments before Rico broke free of the cooling, crystal prison he'd been trapped within, and he'd find the chamber entirely back to normal.
Amusement seemed to echo through the room, though, in truth, how could that ever be possible.
The fully-evolved Charizard stood alone in the chamber.

Rico

Rico's blue eyes darted around as he stood there, shaking.
This chamber seemed to like to torment people with near-death experiences.
However, he saw his reflection and smiled.
"Mierda, I gotta show this to Kewnew!" He exclaimed.
He looked at his large wing, grinning and flapping them, causing his body to rise off the ground a little.
"Heheheeee~"
Although flying inside the palace was a dumb idea, it didn't stop Rico from leaping up and flapping his wings hard, soaring out of the chamber.

Era & Ethfael

Era and Ethfael met outside the chamber as they had planned, Era having just gotten there from purchasing and drinking her Gummi Juice. Ethfael smiled at her as she arrived, and Era returned it tentatively. The Gummi Juice had helped boost her confidence but she was still a little nervous for what was to come. "Are you ready?" Ethfael asked her softly, his expression gentle. He could clearly tell how nervous she was.

Era swallowed slightly, but nodded. "Yes."

Together, the Pichu and Dratini walked into the Crystal Chamber, both awed by its beauty. The room seemed to have a presence all its own, and it clearly held power. The silence was absolute, and only the sounds of Era and Ethfael's breathing seemed to break the stillness. At last Era broke the silence, "If you please," she said, addressing the chamber, "We would like to evolve."

She looked at Ethfael for courage, and he nodded, "Yes, we would like to evolve." Although they stood apart, their spirits were supporting each other as they waited in the mystic chamber, uncertain what was to come.

The chamber complied, the two small Pokemon's shadows reflected off the crystal walls as a bright light shone directly behind them.
Era's shadow grew taller, ears folding inward to form two sharp points, tail lengthening like a paddle with a crooked handle.
Ethfael's shadow grew longer, his ears spread out like wings and small spheres began to form at his throat and tail.
The shadow's retracted, slithering back to the Pokemon they were cast from to engulf both in a black veil before seemingly melting away to reveal a Pikachu and Dragonaire respectfully.

Era & Ethfael

Era and Ethfael both gasped as the light appeared behind them, and watched as their shadows began to change. They didn't begin to feel different however, until the shadows retracted and engulfed them both. Then everything happened so fast, and suddenly the darkness was gone, the chamber as still as before, leaving a changed pair of Pokemon.

Era looked at her reflection in the crystal, and was surprised to find a Pikachu staring back at her. The Pikachu touched her pointed ears and red cheek sacs then stared straight into Era's eyes and reaching a paw towards Era, just as Era reached a paw to the Pikachu. Only when her paw touched hard crystal did Era fully comprehend that it was her. She was the Pikachu; it was her reflection. "This is amazing... she murmured.

"You look wonderful," a light and mesmerizing voice said from nearby. Era turned to find Ethfael watching her from the other side of the chamber, and felt her breath leave her as she looked. He looked truly magnificent as a Dragonair, his expression serious and the beads at his neck and tail accentuating his slim and handsome figure. His voice had changed slightly, growing smoother and silky as if to match his appearance, and Era couldn't help gawking at how charming he was. With the utmost grace he went over to her and looked down at her with a smile, which caused Era's heart to flutter.

"You too," she murmured, ear twitching slightly with embarrassment; she could scarcely form words so awed was she by his appearance. The newly-evolved Pikachu smiled back at her co-captain, feeling a rush of admiration. "Dragonair suits you I think," she added. Hesitating only slightly, she stood on her tiptoes, still too short to reach Ethfael's head otherwise, and planted a quick kiss on his cheek. "I'm glad we came together."

Ethfael smiled, rather fond of Era's display of affection. He bowed his head down to touch his face to hers, "Me too." Looking up to the chamber he smiled, nodding once. "We should be getting back, the others will be waiting." Turning back he looked to the ceiling once more, "Thank you," he murmured politely to the chamber, before turning and heading out.

Era was quick to follow, but turned to gaze at the chamber before she left once more. "Thanks," she whispered, her voice barely audible, and then she bounded after Ethfael, not looking back.

A shadow stretched in front of the chamber's entrance. The glistening crystals of the chamber shown multiple copies of a Riolu's reflection. Luke swallowed his tongue. He could still taste the Berry Juice he drank earlier. Even though it was delicious and made him feel a bit more braver upon evolving, his whole body still filled with nervousness. To be honest he still doesn't know which Eeveelution he is going to be part of after this. But if he had to guess, it would be an Umbreon like his parent. Though it was still unclear, he could be wrong.
He took a step inside the chamber. His footsteps resounding through the room full of crystal. It was an obvious sign he was all alone. On his paw was a Sun Ribbon he bought with the team's money. He then soon softly placed it in front of him and looked above. "Excuse me, may I evolve?" The blind Riolu's voice echoed. He closed his eyes and his body shifted to a tense position, waiting for something to happen. His ears twitched now and then.

Light shimmered faintly from within the Sun Ribbon in his hand, the sparkle just barely visible. It was a display of energy that the blind Riolu could only sense, not see.
The ribbon exploded with light; it would blind him, were he not already blind. The wind rushed in through the opening, coiling around Luke as a miniature tornado. The feeling of the caressing breeze rippling through his fur was surprising, to say the least, but it probably wouldn't feel terribly bad, to have it tickle him like a companion.
The ribbon's light flashes here and there, light and shadow eventually merging, and giving the crystalline room a faint, dusk-like glow.
The wind quieted, and the room became still. A strange, unsettling feeling came over the room, as if waiting for something.
The ribbon disappeared in a shimmering flash of light, but the Lucario-Umbreon who remained would perhaps only now be realizing that he was no longer himself.
The sun and the moon seemed to appear, reflected in the light of the chamber, like mirages on the surfaces of the crystal walls. They disappeared only a moment later, and the illusion of dusk faded away completely, leaving only a faint breeze within the room.

The Riolu felt the unusual cold air running down against him which caused him to tensed his body even more. The light didn't bothered his eyes at all. Though shorter than expected, the evolution process happened quicker than he thought.
His eyes flickered open but it wasn't really unnecessary since he could already 'see' without them. He loosened his new formed body before inspecting it. He raised an arm and turned it around. Same black paws like before except it is longer and bigger and the steel thing that was once on his arm turned into a spike. He looked down. On his newly yellow colored fuzzy chest was another spike though it was a bit bigger than the ones on his arms. On his dark blue colored thighs each have a yellow ring on it, similar to the one Umbreons' have. Below his thigh were just..normal..black legs. His tail wagged left and right as he looked at it. It was quite weird shaped. His ears flicked before looking at the nearest crystal. The crystal showed his reflection, his new evolved form of body. The new Lucario-Umbreon smirked.
"Thank you." He thanked the chamber then exited to show everyone in his team his new appearances.

Morana && Incultyr

"Are you sure about this?" Incultyr asked his captain as the two stopped by the entrance to the Crystal Chamber. The idea of evolving had always been very serious to the two leaders of Polaris, a contrast to the normal attitude here in the guild. Evolving should not be a decision to make lightly- it meant a new body, a new form, maybe even a new type. To force it through the Crystal Chamber was like giving up your childhood. Both had deeply disliked the idea of forcing their evolution through such means, though it had saved the life of Chronicler.

"Yes." Morana replied firmly. Too much was happening, too much going on. Team Polaris was a Champion Guild yet its leader was unevolved, small, comparatively weak to many other guild members. They needed warriors, they needed fighters.

They needed a houndoom more than a houndour.

"Good luck." Incultyr told his partner, patting her reassuringly on the shoulder as she took a deep breath and stepped into the chamber. She stopped in the middle, marvelling at the sparkling walls of the chamber, her nervous mind imagining how many futures had been made and broken in this room.

"Please, I would like to evolve." She spoke loudly, clearly, her anxiety not showing at all through her voice.
