MISSION - Mechanic Lvl 2: Drafter
Cost: 2 AP

To a mechanic, there are few things more important than your tool kit. And wouldn't you know it? When you woke up this morning, your tools were gone! Evidence at the scene suggests a pokemon stole them during the night. Track it down and get your kit back.

Pokemon:
Any basic fighting type.

Rewards: Mechanic Lvl 2: Drafter + 200-800 PD

Er... I'm not exactly sure what to do. In order to do this mission, you need some AP. Meaning you have to do missions that don't require AP, but give you AP. I can't pass it, but I don't want to fail it. Uh... I could use some help from a teir 1 on what to do with it for now.

On the other hand, what I can do is offer some advice on it. First off, though many don't really know, Team Aqua HeadQuarters is actually underwater. I find it silly that a pokemon would steal tools from an underwater building that one can access only with the TADS on the person. I'm pretty sure I got that right... xp

Anyways, I declare this mission... VOID? Yes, for now, it is void. Do some AP earning missions first, and then you can post this one. It's a good mission though, so hang on to it.
Tommy's correct. You'll need to spend 2 AP to undertake this mission. Hang on to it for now and re-post it once you've gained some AP.

Errmm...
Answer #2 says we have 3 AP points when we start out. I did the level 1 mission, which requires no AP, and so started on this one which would leave me at 1 AP.

Ah. I'll have to remember that, then.
I rescind my earlier judgement.

MISSION- Fossil Fraud

It seems there's someone in the Johto region selling fake pokemon fossils. From his description, it sounds like he's a Legendary Brilliance Gang peon. Track him down and put a stop to his scam. (You will face one LBG peon with 2 fossil pokemon)

Pokemon: None
Rewards: 800
Item: One fossil of your choice
---------------------------------------

“Drip, drip, drip.”
Spring time had finally come after the long cold winters, though this wasn’t the best spring day, especially one where someone should be out. It was raining, at times sprinkling lighting, but dampening everything that it came in contact with, one being Junichi. Junichi was slowly wandering the streets of Goldenrod City, a busy and bustling city on any given day. He was on vacation at the moment, but would have to return back to Team Aqua in a couple of days. Before leaving the city to travel back to headquarters, he wanted to get a souvenir.

“You.” A harsh voice from a mysterious stand spoke. Junichi turned around to notice a cloaked man with a crooked smile and a hood covering a good portion of his face standing by his stand. “Yeah you, would you like to buy a rare Pokemon fossil?” The man held out a shell shaped fossil in order to be looked at. It’s often seen on TV and movies about happenings involving cloaked men, but other than that, it’s common sense to walk or even run away from creepy strangers, especially cloaked ones with a strange smile. What was going on in Junichi’s head, who knows?
“Sure, I’d like to buy one.” Junichi pulled out his wallet, but as he did so, he noticed something strange about the fossil that was held out earlier. Usually, when rain hits rock, it’ll get damp, and if enough gets on it, turn into mud. This fossil had no wet marks on it however, even though it was clearly hit with water from the rain as nothing had shielded the stand from the rain. Something strange was going on. “Can I get a better look at this fossil please?”
“It is but a Kabuto fossil, a rare ancient Pokemon. Why do you need to get a better look at this?” The cloaked man seemed nervous and hesitated within his speech. He noticed Junichi had caught onto something, hoping he wouldn’t find out. But not to seem out of the ordinary, he handed over the fossil to Junichi.

Upon receiving the fossil, Junichi tested out his theory by letting the rain splash onto the fossil. It didn’t dampen at all! Instead, the water would slowly drip off the edge or just stay on its liquid form. It surely felt real, but it was a complete fake fossil made of who knows what.
Junichi tosses the fossil back at the cloaked man, but by then, he had pulled out a Pokeball. “I won’t let you run off telling others of this!” The man hounded as the fake fossil hit the ground and splashed water all over his clothes, soaking him. All wet and drippy, he took off his cloak to reveal his true identity. It was a member of the Legendary Brilliance Gang! Junichi had learned about these guys at one point and knew they were up to no good. He quickly unclips a Pokeball from his belt and tossed it out. The gang member did as well.

Two lights started to take form and shape, showing the true appearances of what laid inside the Pokeballs. Out came a Kabuto from the gang member’s side while a Squirtle, jumping excitedly up and down, appeared on Junichi’s side. Under the rain, Kabuto’s speed rose due to its ability Swift Swim. It started off the battle by hardening its shell. Meanwhile, Squirtle launched a stream of water at the Kabuto. Water Gun didn’t do much to damage the Kabuto though as it was half water type, but it still did enough to begin with, or that’s what Junichi thought.
Kabuto began absorbing life from Squirtle, draining it of its health. Squirtle’s hp dropped quite a bit while Kabuto was fully replenished of any loss health. Absorbing life from Squirtle yet again, Kabuto used Absorb. Coming up a plan, Squirtle began wagging his tail, lowering the foe’s defense. Kabuto still had full health while Squirtle was close to death.
With a stroke of luck, the rain began picking up, showering the entire city. For some reason, Kabuto wasn’t able to move as fast anymore! Squirtle took this chance to bite the foe and hopefully stun it. It did so, and as hoped, the Kabuto flinched by the surprising twist of events.
Moving at it’s originally speed, which was slow, Kabuto was ready to go for another Absorb. Squirtle was low on hp, but knew that one more hit with Bite would take it down for sure. Swiftly, the Squirtle ran, almost galloping like, at the shelled Pokemon.

“Grr, return!” The peon returned his Pokemon within its pokeball. Squirtle came out victorious against the shellfish, thanks to the help of heavy rain. Who knew more rain could help? Other than the slight increase in wind speed and ruining everything, the rain was actually pretty good. Or at least that’s what Junichi wanted to believe. After all, he was soaked in his clothes and was getting pounded on by even more rain as the battle went on.
The LBG member grabbed out another pokeball and tossed it out. Another shellfish-like Pokemon took appearance on the battlefield, ready to attack.

Sadly, the Omanyte wasn’t fast enough to strike first. Squirtle leaped at it with full force, biting hard onto its shell. Omanyte shook off Squirtle only to finish it off. Omanyte, in return, bites on Squirtle’s shell as well. Squirtle flattens down, now knocked out and unable to move any further.
“Return.” Junichi grabbed out his pokeball and retrieved back Squirtle. “You did well. It’s your turn, let’s go Charmander!” After clipping back on Squirtle’s pokeball and taking out another, Junichi sent it out. A small red dinosaur appeared with a burning flame on its tail. The flaming tail wasn’t being washed by the heavy rain, but instead kept blazing brightly.

A wide spread of black smoke began storming the field, making seeing hard for the Omanyte, decreasing its accuracy. Smokescreen would only last for a while though as the rain was slowly piercing through the haze. Omanyte, thinking going up against a fire-type would be easy, fired a blast of water through the smoke, but missed its target completely. The rain kept falling and the smokescreen was slowly clearing up as it began dispersing.
A shockwave of rage is sent through the screen and lands a hit on the Omanyte. Dragon Rage dealt a pretty good amount of damage at the foe. Another fire of Water Gun from the Omanyte was shot, but Charmander was able to dodge right on time.
The rain started to become lighter and the smokescreen was almost cleared up all the way. With the light rain, Omanyte’s speed rose, making it go faster than before. Also, Charmander became more visible to the Omanyte. Enraged by the misses and the low health it had left, the Omanyte immediately spout water from its mouth as it got closer to Charmander with its quick speed. Charmander had no time to dodge the attack and was soaked by the water, taking a lot of damage. Charmander rose from the wet surface and rushed at the Omanyte. Another shockwave full of its anger was blasted at the Omanyte. The battle was over. Omanyte was immediately returned and the peon fled from the scene.

Junichi was found back at the Pokemon Center, laid in bed, staring at the ceiling next to his Squirtle and Charmander as they rested from the tough battle they had. An opened package was on the table next to him and next to that was a note that he had read. The note spoke about catching an imposter who was selling fake fossils later that day. Witnesses reported Junichi being the one who stopped the imposter.
The package and note was sent from researchers who were researching more about the fossils. He had received the package not long ago and opened it to discover what contents were inside. A yellow fossil was inside it, but what it actually was, he did not know.

A little short, I know, but I tried to think of a creative way in writing instead of explaining the whole story.

Your mission was great, sure it is kind of short, but it's not exactly easy to turn a short mission like this into a novel. Lol. And I don't think I see anything out of order.

Total pass; 800 PD and your Old Amber.

MISSION- Flame on!
Go catch a fire pokemon!

Pokemon:
Any non evolved, non legendary fire pokemon

Money: 600

For a while now, Nick had needed a Fire type Pokémon. It would serve a great practical purpose, for he could use it to sterilize needles as a Medic and weld things as a Mechanic. Not to mention the simple fact that they were great sources of illumination. “Hmm…” Nick wondered where to go on his hunt for a Fire type. He strolled amongst the teleporters, looking for one that would hold what he was looking for within. Eventually, he came across one that read “White Forest”

“White Forest. That doesn’t sound like an apt home for a Fire Pokémon.” Nick said, pondering the subject. “But then again, you never know. Oh, I might as well give it a try.” He said, stepping into the teleporter.

Emerging on the other side, Nick looked around. The forest was beautiful and the trees were enormous and white. He could see Pokémon frolicking in plain sight, uncaring of the fact that a human had just stepped into the area. “Wow…” was all Nick could say as the natural beauty of the forest overwhelmed him.

Hoppips floated nearby, being playfully chased by Rhyhorn. From the trees, Nick could see Starly building nests as Slakoths crawled lethargically across the branches. Seedot played tag on the tall branches as Pidgey soared by. An Abra slept at the foot of a large tree, while a Machop trained right within its area. Oddish and Budew calmly suckled at the nutrients in the soil, humming as Wurmples crawled nearby. A Nidoran couple silently grazed the grass where a Bellsprout lie dormant. Deep under them, a Trapinch and Aron dug side by side in search of food. In the silent spring that passed in front of Nick, there were a Whismur, Shinx, and Bagon bathing while Azurill swam in circles near them. On the shore, two Lotad offered a ferry ride to a cute Togepi and Happiny beside a Mareep, which was drinking from the water. In the shadows cast by the tree, a Gastly silently floated beside a Magnemite. They passed by a Porygon and Elekid, greeting each other.

As Nick observed this, he felt happy. Life seemed good and perfect in this small patch of paradise. “Wow…” he repeated, incredulous at the wonderland he had stepped into. “This place is… It’s so beautiful…” Nick smiled, walking into the area with the Pokémon. They didn’t respond to him, apparently the Pokémon of that forest did not have much experience with humans. “You guys sure have life figured out, huh?” Nick asked as he looked around. He relaxed beside the Abra, almost forgetting about his mission.

Suddenly, not everything seemed right. The Pokémon were startled at the appearance of a newcomer to the group, and Nick could feel the tension so much, it brought him out of his rest. “Eh?” he turned his attention to the right, where a red creature approached them slowly. It looked like an odd salamander with certain elements of a duck mixed in. “Magby?” it asked cutely, tilting its head to the side. The Pokémon did not respond much to it, continuing their usual activities.

The Magby approached the water, but was afraid to step in. It looked over at the Lotad who had recently carried the Togepi and Happiny over. It eyed the Magby and sighed, letting it step onto its lily pad. However, the second the Pokémon stepped onto Lotad, it shrieked in pain, its lily pad had caught on fire! It dipped into the water, and the Magby fell in. The Magby cried, kicking and screaming to get out of the water. This amused Nick, and he walked over to the drenched Pokémon. “Come on over here, little guy. Lucky for you, I always carry a towel.” He grinned, pulling it out of his bag.

Nick then proceeded to attempt to dry the Magby off, but it pushed the towel away and held up a finger; as if saying ‘Look at this!’ Nick wrapped the towel around his neck and observed the small Pokémon. “Mag… MAGBY!” it cried, expelling flames from its body, drying itself off. “Very nice!” Nick applauded. His ovation was short lived, for he noticed the flames had hit one of the Hoppip floating around. “Uh…” they both stood there, gawking at the burning Pokémon. “Hop! Hop!” it cried in horror as it comrades looked on with expressions of terror. “Go, Zero!” Nick reached for his belt and tossed out his Totodile.

“Put that Hoppip out with a Water Gun!” Nick ordered. Zero looked up at the Hoppip and spat a stream of water at the combusting Pokémon. After it was put out, the Hoppip dropped down to Magby’s level and whacked it. “Mag…” it cried sadly, covering its eyes as the Pokémon floated away angrily. “Aw, man. Poor little guy.” Nick said, approaching it. “You just need to learn control.” He smiled down at it as he patted its head. “Magby?” it asked, looking up at Nick between tears.

“In fact, how about you join my team? You can come journey with us. I’m learning how to be a Mechanic and Medic, and I sure could use a Fire type Pokémon like you.” Nick bargained with the Magby. It was enthralled by the idea and started jumping up and down. “Alright, so let’s battle over it!” Nick grinned, taking a few steps back. Magby leaped backwards and readied himself. “Alright, Zero! You’re taking care of this!” “Totodile!” he responded.

“Zero, start the battle off with Water Gun!” Nick ordered. Zero complied, a jet of water splashing all over Magby. “Mag…” it cried. It opened its mouth and responded with a powerful Flamethrower attack. Zero staggered backwards, the attack had been a powerful one indeed. “Totodile…” it struggled to stay up. “Whoa… You’re strong…” Nick blinked, observing the Magby’s power. “Zero, we’re not out of this yet! Aqua Jet!” he commanded. “To… To… “ Zero cried, coating himself in water. The Torrent ability kicked in, making the water stronger. “DILE!” he cried, crashing into Magby, who was knocked down.

“Alright! Good job, Zero!” Nick congratulated his Pokémon as he reached for an empty Poké Ball. “Now let’s catch him and go home!” he wound up his arm to throw it, but Magby started to slowly get up. “Mag… MAGBY!” it yelled, getting up. A force of fire, using Overheat, surrounded it. “Oh my goodness…” Nick said, watching the huge wall of fire engulf Zero. He heard the cries of Pokémon flee in horror as Zero withstood the attack. Both Pokémon stood for a second shortly afterwards, and then both collapsed. “Go, Poké Ball!” Nick tossed the ball and recalled Zero silently.

Nick observed the small desolate patch of burned land Magby’s attack had created. The Pokémon of the area was observing him angrily. “Umm…” Nick said, a bit confused. He picked up Magby’s Poké Ball. “Welcome to the team, Pazuzu.” He whispered as the Poké Ball vanished, teleporting to his Box. He examined the charred land once more and bit his lip. “Wait a minute… This soil is very high in nutrients from the burning…” Nick walked around, gathering acorns from the ground and planting them into the charred area. “So in a few years, there will be trees here!” he grinned, looking at the Pokémon.

They eyed him with a look of approval as Nick headed for the Teleporter; his mission was done.

PS- I would also like for my earlier mission to be re-evaluated.

MISSION- Cycle of Business
Any Team Aqua member is asked to convince Rydel's Cycles to supply Team Aqua with Aqua Bike DXes.
The best way to convince Rydel is with a quick 1-on-1 battle.

No pokemon will be found on this mission.

Funds upon completion: 800
---------------------------------

Yesterday was full of heavy rain and wind, but today was full of sunshine. The sun smiled brightly upon this part of the world and was drying up any water particles left behind from the rain.

After jumping out of bed from a refreshing sleep, Junichi was up and out, zooming by plains of grass in order to reach the next ship port. He had such a relaxing sleep that he woke up late and was about to miss the ship that would bring him close to headquarters. His vacation wasn’t over yet, but it wasn’t ever good to come back late or else you’d possibly be scolded if you didn’t show up. It would take some time to get back.

“Where the-” Junichi awoke lying in bed apparently in a Pokemon Center. “What the hell am I doing here?” The confused trainer thought before realizing what had happened.
As he was riding his bike across the plains, a group of Doduo had popped up. Due to this group, Junichi swerved out of the way to avoid hitting them. Bad luck was on his side at the time and he slammed right into a large tree. The rest, well, it can be guessed what possibly happened.

It was currently about 4:30 PM. Junichi had missed the ship many hours ago and the ship wouldn’t be back for another two days. His vacation ended in two days, but even so, he wouldn’t reach headquarters in time as he’d have to take a day at most on bike to make it. It was pretty far off. The only solution now was to pick up a new bike and board the next ship when it gets here.

Upon entering, a man dressed nicely in a tuxedo was speaking to the clerk. “If you would just take the time to think this over, I’m sure it could benefit your business.”
The clerk had other things in mind however. “This is a bike shop, not a board shop! Now get out!”
“But please-”
“GET OUT!” The clerk roared, stomping his foot on the ground before the business man left with his briefcase and a disappointed look. Junichi and the business man exchanged glances before he exited the building. “A customer, ah, how may I help you?” The clerk seemed to have immediately calmed down and pleasantly asked Junichi.
“Uh… I need a new bike.” Junichi replied, taking a step forward from the door and looking around at the unique bikes.
“You’ve come to the right place my boy! Welcome to Rydel’s Cycles! If there’s anything you need, just ask because you’ll be speaking to the one and only Rydel!” Rydel boasted with a small burst of laughter. There was a wide selection of bikes to choose from, but Junichi had no idea which to pick.

One thing about being a Team Aqua member is that you’re being watched upon at all times. Somewhere, most likely on the TADS that is given to you, there is a tracking device that gives out your location to the higher ups. A new message appeared on Junichi’s TADS from the higher ups. He opened it to check it out. It read. “While you’re there, we need another shipment of Aqua Bike DX. Also, pick up some building supplies at the hardware store nearby. You’re going to be late coming back already so do this as an early mission.” They also seemed to have realized the situation he was in and took this opportunity to make him go on a mission.

There was nothing to be done other than speaking to Rydel about a new shipment for Aqua Bike DXes and getting one for himself. Junichi walked up to the front counter where Rydel was counting the money in the cash register. “Uh, Rydel, can Team Aqua order a new shipment of Aqua Bike Dxes?”
Rydel paused and shifted his eyes at Junichi. “Team Aqua eh?” He placed away the money and closed the cash register. “Well, can you pay for the shipment?”
“No…” Junichi sadly spoke, scratching the back of his head as he had no extra cash on him for a big shipment order.
“As I thought. Well, a quick battle should do then. I haven’t had one in a while and Makuhita could use a good battle.” Rydel started swing his arms back and forth and yelled “Makuhita!” Out from the storage room, a Makuhita appeared. “Follow me now.” Rydel and Makuhita exit out from the back door. Junichi followed them out from behind.

They entered a field of small grass, a perfect scenery as well as place to battle. Junichi grabbed out a pokeball as Makuhita stepped forward, ready to battle. “Show us what ya got!” Rydel shouted high and mighty. Junichi tossed the ball and out came Charmander.

Charmander started the battle with a small fire blown at Makuhita. The Ember did a fair amount of damage at Makuhita, but it came back with a strong move. Swiftly and fiercely, it grabbed Charmander and threw him straight on the ground. Charmander gave out a small and weak cry as it hit the ground. Vital Throw dealt a big chunk of pain on Charmander.
Slowly, the Charmander rose, limping on one side as it rushed at the Makuhita. Enraged, Charmander sent a shockwave at the Makuhita, dealing yet another fair amount of damage at it. But once again, Makuhita grabbed hold of Charmander by the neck and threw him on the ground with full force. The Charmander was unable to stand anymore. Makuhita was a fierce opponent indeed.

Charmander was quickly returned to his pokeball and Squirtle was sent out after. As soon as Squirtle came out, Makuhita charged at it, seeming as though he would use another Vital Throw. The Makuhita did not use a Vital Throw and at the last second, punched Squirtle. Fake Out did little damage, but did cause the foe to flinch.
As soon as Squirtle came to senses, she quickly latched herself on Makuhita and bit him. The Makuhita yelped in pain, but grabbed onto Squirtle and yanked her off. He then tossed the Pokemon with force on to the ground. It did much damage to Squirtle, but not as much as it did to Charmander due to Squirtle’s hard shell. Squirtle, still lying on the ground from Vital Throw, shot water from its mouth straight up at Makuhita who was looking down on her. The Water Gun hit and down went Makuhita. The battle was over, but if Squirtle were to take another hit, it would have been over.
“You did well!” Rydel yelled as he burst with a laugh. Makuhita rose back up, as though it wasn’t hurt from the attacks at all. “As promised, I’ll deliver a shipment to Team Aqua full of Aqua Bike DXes!”

And so ends the first part Junichi’s mission. He had received an Aqua Bike DX from Rydel after wards and went off to heal his Pokemon at the Pokemon Center. Before he made it to the Pokemon Center, the business man approached him. “Hello, nice to meet you. I was watching your battle with Rydel earlier and was wondering if you could help sponsor a prototype for the business I help run.” The business man pulled out a piece of paper with a design on it.
“Our company is currently testing out hover boards and we’d like for someone to help test it out as well as publicize it. It’d help us greatly if you did. In exchange, we’ll also give you a long board for better cruising on land. In other words, we’re just giving you two types of vehicles. We have different designs of each, so pick whichever you like and we’ll send it in the morning. Here’s my card.” He quickly pulled out a business card for Junichi. Junichi grabbed hold of the card and a designs sheet handed later on.
“Give a call whenever, later.” The business man walked off. Junichi understood everything he had said, except there was one thing puzzling his mind, when did he accept this?

Junichi’s day finally ends as he returns to the Pokemon Center staring at the design sheet with the business card in hand. Tomorrow, he would go to the hardware store and pick up supplies. Day after he would be back at headquarters. Oh boy could he wait.

MISSION - Grinding the Gears

A whole bunch of bug type Pokemon have broken into the Shop and have taken up residence. Unfortunately, their bug like silk spinning has clogged all the gears in the machines. I hear that fire usually works well to get rid of these types of things. Just be sure not to damage the equipment.

Pokemon:
Any non-legendary, basic Bug Type Pokemon.
Gear (When Stats and Stuff Released)

Rewards: 700-1100 PD + 1 AP

Nick walked into the back of the shop; he had been hearing gears grinding coming from the back of it and it had been driving him mad. Nick had received the shopkeeper’s permission to go into the backroom and check. “Hmmm…” he entered the room, looking around for the source of the sound. A loud rasping sound towards his right caught his attention, and Nick turned to face it. “Ah, there’s your problem!” he grinned to himself and approached the grinding gears.

As he neared the gears, the cries of Pokémon came from around them. “Eh?” This surprised Nick. “Where’s the light switch…” he fumbled around for a few seconds and found the light switch near the entrance. “… Whoa.” Nick was shocked to see webs and silk covering up the gears. Wurmple, Caterpie, Weedle, and Sewaddle, and Spinarak all crawled towards Nick to defend their home. Cascoon, Silcoon, Metapod, and Kakuna observed from the webs and strings.

“Uh oh.” Nick backed up a little, reaching for two Poké Balls on his belt. “Go, Zero and Pazuzu!” he tossed his Pokémon out, ready for battle. “Use Aqua Jet and Flamethrower!” Nick ordered. “But watch out for the gears, don’t damage them!” he realized he had to be careful with the gears that kept the shop working. “Mag… By!” Pazuzu cried, unleashing a small wall of fire on the crowd of Bugs before him.

Zero rammed into the ones that were not hit by the Flamethrower attack, dealing good damage. Unfortunately, they were met with a barrage of weak tackles that really added up. Zero and Pazuzu barely stood, and there were many more of the bugs still around. “Uhh…” Nick suddenly had an idea. He recalled his Pokémon and ran for a broom. Pulling up his sleeve, he looked at his fancy Invisi-Watch. He pressed the button for invisibility and then grabbed a broom.

“Shoo! Shoo! Off with you!” Nick started swinging the broom around, swatting at all the bugs. They all started panicking at the fact that an invisible assailant with a broom was attacking them and scrambled to leave the area. “Shoo! Happaya! Happaya!” Nick yelled, swinging the broom down at a straggling Spinarak. Clearing the room of all the Bugs minus the cocoons, Nick switched off the invisibility. “Heh heh.” He chuckled.

Nick then started removing the Kakuna, Metapod, Silcoon, and Cascoon, placing them on the ground. “Hmm. Now how do I get rid of this?” he asked himself. Nick tried rolling up the cobwebs with the broom he had used to assault the bugs, but it got stuck on the webs. “Oh, drat.” Nick sighed, thinking about what else he could do. “Hmmm…” he hummed, poking at the silk.

“Go, Hobbes!” Nick thought, calling out his Joltik. “Jol tik tik!” it cried happily. Noticing the webbing, it jumped on it happily and crawled all over it. “No, no. We gotta take this down, buddy.” He said. “Use Gastro Acid on the webs, please.” Nick asked his Joltik. The Pokémon spat a weak acid at the webbing, but didn’t do much damage to it. “Hmm…” he bit his lip and looked over the webbing. “Ah!” Nick had a new idea.

“Come on out, Pazuzu!” he called out his newly captured Magby. “Mag?” it cried weakly, still a little dazed from all the tackles it had endured. “Would you kindly use Ember on the silk and webs?” he asked, looking at the gears. Pazuzu drew in a breath to start breathing fire and Hobbes jumped onto Nick’s shoulder. The silk caught fire and slowly started to spread, dissolving the strain on the gears.

Eventually, all the webbing was gone. “Good job, Pazuzu!” Nick congratulated it and looked over the gears. They still were not moving. “Huh. That’s weird…” he said, walking up to the gear’s control panel. He opened it with his screwdriver and examined the feedback. Everything was fine with the gears themselves, so there was no reason for them to NOT be moving. Nick closed it again and pulled out his wrench.

“Hmmm…” Nick sighed, tapping the wrench against the gears individually. Pazuzu observed Nick as he banged every gear once, trying to find an odd sound. He tapped one and a cry came out. “Klink!” a Pokémon was stuck within the gears. “Oh?” Nick asked, looking at the Pokémon. He pulled it out with a bit of a struggle, and the gears started spinning. “Awesome!” Nick grinned, watching the gears start spinning. “So you were blocking the gears, huh?” Nick asked the Pokémon.

“Klink.” It said blandly. “Hmm… You know, you look pretty cool. I think I can use a Pokémon like you. Pazuzu, come on!” Nick grinned. “Joltik?” Hobbes cried from his shoulder. “No, I need to use Pazuzu. He needs to control himself.” Nick grinned. “Klink Klink Klink!” the Pokémon cried, preparing itself for attack. “Use Flamethrower, Pazuzu!” Nick ordered his Magby. “Magby!” it spat a long stream of fire that collided with the gear Pokémon. It withstood some heavy damage, but still was capable of fighting.

The Pokémon then levitated upwards and started spinning in reverse; it had used Shift Gear. “Klink!” it exclaimed moving at twice its former speed and feeling more powerful overall. “Pazuzu, Fire Punch!” Nick ordered. The Magby jumped at the Klink, its fist on fire. “Klink Klink!” it moved out of the way using its superior speed and targeted the Pokémon using Lock-On. “Drat. Use Smokescreen to conceal yourself!” Nick ordered, fearing what the Klink would use.

An electric pulse charged up before the Klink as Pazuzu spat smoke to hide himself. However, his efforts were in vain as the Lock-On followed him. A Charge Beam pierced through the smoke and hit Pazuzu, square in the chest. “No!” Nick clenched his fist, approaching the Magby as he fanned the Smokescreen away. “Mag…” it got up slowly, an aura of fire surrounding it. “Uh…” Nick blinked nervously backing away. The Klink felt danger incoming and braced itself. “MAGBY!” Pazuzu yelled, Overheating. Fire was everywhere, and the gears were also on fire. “Damn it, Pazuzu!” Nick yelled, calling out to his Magby.

It suddenly stopped, cooling down. The Klink lay on the floor, dazed. Nick casually tossed a Poké Ball at it, not bothering to see it get captured. “Joltik!” Hobbes cried in fear, still on his shoulder. “Go, Zero!” Nick tossed his Totodile out again. “Use Water Gun, and quick!” he yelled, fanning the fire in an attempt to put it out. “Totodile!” Zero spat a jet of water onto the gears, cooling them down. Steam rose from them, and they continued to spin. “Pazuzu, you need to learn control!” Nick turned to face his Magby; scolding it.

He walked over to the Poké Ball containing the captured Klink. “Welcome to the team, Kink.” Nick said as the ball teleported to his PC. “Now as for you…” he turned to Pazuzu again. “We’ve got discipline training to do. Let’s head back to HQ.” Nick said, recalling Pazuzu, who shed a silent tear. Zero followed behind Nick as they walked out the backroom, leaving the cocoon Pokémon on the floor. “Joltik?” Hobbes asked from Nick’s shoulder.

“Nah, they’ll be fine. I’m sure they’ll evolve shortly and get out of there.” Nick grinned as a Cascoon shot him a dirty look.

You never cease amaze me. Great story line, fun battle, a nice plot twist... Ah,and nice use of audio. xD

The only thing awry is that, though many don't know this, Team Aqua HeadQuarters is actually underwater. I find it silly that a pokemon would steal tools from an underwater building that one can access only with the TADS on oneself. Meaning, it'd have to have stolen your TADS. Strange indeed...

Anyways, I really enjoyed the mission, yet again. Though I hate to say it (rivalry in mechanics' class?)...

Pass. Keep your Scraggy and 600 PD. I proclaim you a Drafter. Keep up the good work.

Teh Soupreme
MISSION- Cycle of Business
Any Team Aqua member is asked to convince Rydel's Cycles to supply Team Aqua with Aqua Bike DXes.
The best way to convince Rydel is with a quick 1-on-1 battle.

No pokemon will be found on this mission.

Funds upon completion: 800

I really do like your writing style. It's... I guess a close word for it might be enthralling. There was one instance that kind of confused me a little. but it's an easy oversight because the rest of the mission was so great.

Pass, enjoy your 800 PD, spend it wisely!

Another great mission, you must like writing to impress, no? I couldn't help but to "lol" at the "Happaya! Happaya!" line. That's funny right there [I dunno why, but it is] Your battle was excellent. Only thing I had a bit of a trouble with was leaving the cocooned Pokemon in there. Of course I understand and it's totally acceptable, but it may or may not have been better to remove all of them to prevent this thing from happening again. Maybe?

Pass, 1000 PD, 1 AP, and your own set of Gears [Klink].
Oh an maybe with this nifty little Rank Up to Peon that I'm giving you, you can start leading TRPs once a week. Don't forget you update your Pokemon and new Rank in the Aqua Rank and Pokemon List

· MISSION - Mechanical Tauros Mishap

The Mechanical Tauros down at Veilstone has gone haywire! Yes it has been known for it's toughness, but I'm pretty sure that sending people to the Pokemon Center with shattered pelvises and dislocated joints is a bit much. Please tame this wild beast with your almighty Mechanic skills to save the day.

Apparently some joker messed with the knobs and wires to make a "beast-kill" mode. Be creative in how you fix the problem. I do believe a Pokemon battle is in order.

Pokemon:
Milktank
Tauros

Rewards: 1000-1300 PD + 2 AP

Nick had decided it was time to try out the infamous Veilstone Mechanical Tauros. He had heard legends of it from Kurt, who fondly regards it as the first time he hurt his back. “Alright, here we go!” Nick grinned, stepping through the teleporter leading to Veilstone. Nick emerged near a bunch of meteors in the ground. Quickly observing them, he felt a huge amount of energy coming from them, almost an unnatural amount. A little freaked out, Nick moved a little faster out of the area, approaching the city. He observed a giant building with spikes on the side and a giant G. “Huh…” he continued to walk towards the famed Mechanical Tauros.

Finally opening the door to Bouffalant Bill’s Wild West Restaurant, Nick was approached by an attractive red-haired waitress. “Why, hello sugar!” she grinned, putting her hands at her hips. Nick’s jaw dropped, staring at her. “My name’s Kat, and I’ll be your waitress this evenin’!” she continued in a Texan accent. (Not that Nick knew what Texas was, nor how an accent from that area sounded like since Texas doesn’t exist in the Pokémon universe… BACK TO THE STORY!)

“I-I’m Nick…” he bumbled, staring at her. Kat giggled and stretched out her hand to Nick, who took it and gave her a firm handshake. “Come on, sugar!” she said, pulling at Nick’s hand, seating him on a booth. “You look like you’re here for the Tauros ride, sugar.” Kat noted, looking down at Nick. “How’d you know?” he asked curiously. “Most charming fellers like y’all do!” Kat winked at him. Nick’s heart raced a bit at this. “However… The Tauros is down for maintenance, sugar. We’ve been waitin’ on a repairman, but he ain’t got much time on his hands unfortunately.” She looked down.

“Well… I’m a Mechanic.” Nick grinned at the opportunity to impress this Southern Belle. “Oh really, Nick?” Kat brightened up, sitting in front of him. “You sure don’t look it, sugar.” She teased him. “Tell you what, honey. If I can get my boss to let you work on the Tauros, and if ya fix it, I’ll give you a round a’ Moo Moo Milk f’r free.” Kat winked at him. This just melted Nick’s heart, and he nodded in understandment. “Now just wait for me here, honey.” She got up, walking towards a door in the back.

Nick leaned out of his booth to watch her walk away. After she had escaped his field of vision into the room, he slumped in his chair. “Wow…” Nick sighed with disbelief. “She’s really something to look at… And so sweet, too…” he grinned, looking around. Nick then stood up to inspect the Tauros from outside its pen, which stood in the middle of the restaurant. More waitresses walked around, all sounding similar to Kat, but not one of them looked like her; which made her all the more special to Nick. “Huh… It looks perfectly fine from the outside.” He continued to analyze the Tauros.

Suddenly, he was met with a tap on the shoulder. “C’mon, sugar. Bouffalant Bill wants to see you!” Kat took Nick by the arm, escorting him to the Manager’s office. He looked at their arms, looking at how they were linked together. Nick opened the door for her as they neared it. “My my. What a gentleman.” Kat grinned, walking in, him following her. Nick stepped into the huge office, wondering why a man would need such an enormous office. It was big enough to have a battle in comfortably. “Hoooooooowdy!” a voice called from across the room, getting up from a huge, comfortable chair. He wore an enormous ten-gallon hat bigger than the one Kat sported upon her gorgeous red hair.

“My name’s Bouffalant Bill! I reckon you already figured that out, string bean. After all, this is my eatin’ establishment!” Bill approached them. He looked like a cowboy, with a huge beard and moustache to match. “Now, Kat tells me you’re a mechanic. But I don’t think you’ve got what it takes to fix my mean mechanical Tauros. That thing’s sent men mightier than me to the Pokémon Center in the last few days.” Bill continued. Nick listened silently, occasionally gazing over to Kat. She caught him and winked at him, which caused him to look down at the floor.

“Now listen here, son! There’s two things y’all gotta do before I let ya near my Tauros…” Bill said, turning his back to the two. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a single Poké Ball. “The first bein’ a 2 on 1! The both of ya’ll against my Bouffalant!” This surprised Kat, she looked at Bill with a curious look. “Sir?” she asked incredulously. “You recommended your boyfriend fer the job, so your honor is on the battle as well!” Bill boasted, tossing out his Pokémon. His powerful, aged Bouffalant stood proudly before its master, breathing powerfully. “B-boyfriend?” both Kat and Nick let out at the same time. They looked to each other and then quickly looked away, scrambling for their Poké Balls.

“Bessie, come on out darlin’!” Kat tossed out her Miltank. “Coolio, time for your first battle!” Nick grinned, summoning Scraggy. “Scrag!” it cried, turning to look at its partner. His eyes turned into hearts as he gazed at the Miltank beside him. His trance was interrupted by Bouffalant’s stomping. “Alrighty! Let’s get cracking! Bouffalant, Bulldoze ‘em down!” Bill ordered. “Bou!” it complied, stomping on the ground with immense power, causing weak damage to Bessie and Coolio, but slowing them down. “Bessie, c’mon y’all! Hop on up and Stomp ‘em down!” she ordered. “Miltank!” it cried, jumping on top of the Bouffalant, and landing a nasty Stomp attack.

“Let’s show them what we can do, Coolio! Use Brick Break!” Nick ordered. His Scraggy dashed up to the already wounded Pokémon and chopped down its face, causing it heavy damage. “Bouffa!” it cried in pain. “Alright, time to break even! Head Charge on that lil’ lizard!” Bill ordered. His Pokémon charged at Coolio, smashing against him powerfully. “Scrag!” he was sent backwards, slamming against the door. He barely stood up, only enduring the hit thanks to his high defenses. “Bessie, get revenge for that poor lil’ Pokémon! Give him the strongest Body Slam you’ve got, girl!” Kat ordered, looking at Nick.

“Mil…” she jumped again, slamming against the Bouffalant. “TANK!” she cried, jumping off of him. “Scrag…” Coolio struggled to move up to the battle again. “Coolio, you’re doing great! But now it’s time for… Payback!” Nick grinned confidently as his Pokémon used the attack; unleashing a powerful wave of energy upon the Bouffalant. “Bou…” it cried, on its knees, then falling on its side. “Well, I’ll be!” Bill smiled, recalling his Pokémon. “Bessie, I need an order of Milk Drink, quickly now hon!” Kat looked over at her Miltank, handing her an empty mug from the nearby shelf. She nodded, quickly filling her a freshly squeezed glass.

“Here you go, sugar!” she looked down at Coolio, who was staggering around dizzily. Kat opened his mouth and poured the drink in. As if by magic, Coolio was revitalized. He flexed quickly, as if nothing had happened. “You two make quite the couple.” Bill grinned, approaching them. Kat and Nick exchanged nervous looks, hiding their red cheeks from each other. “That was a great battle, string bean. Now, for step two. To fix a Tauros, y’all gotta know how they work, right? I wan’t y’all to head on back to the Kiddy Ranch in the back and pick out a Tauros from the bunch. They’re tame as a mare, so all y’all gotta do is toss the Poké Ball.” Bill ordered.

“Sounds easy enough…” Nick grinned, heading out before Kat could start to warn him. Coolio followed right behind him confidently, almost strutting. She chased after him and took his hand. “Nick! I gotta warn y’all… One of them there Tauros is real mean… I would appreciate if y’all caught him. We’ve been getting complaints from customer’s lil’ ones, so he won’t be missed, sweetie.” Kat looked at him. She then noticed she clutched his hand and tossed it aside. Nick bit his lip and grinned. “Sure thing, Kat.” He smiled at her. He then headed out, leaving her behind. “My…” she said to herself, watching him head out.

Entering the kid’s petting ranch, Nick looked around for a Tauros. He approached them one by one, followed by Coolio. None responded to him violently, in fact some of them even licked his hand in search of food. “Heh heh.” Nick smiled, petting them. Coolio even jumped on one, riding it. “Tauros!” one snorted from behind the group Pokémon. They all cleared the way, running to hide. Coolio leaped off the back of the Tauros he was riding to face the aggressor. “I guess you’re the mean one.” Nick grinned, looking at it. “Tauro!” it snorted angrily, scraping its hoofs against the floor. “Alright, Coolio. Let’s start this off the right way with a Brick Break!” Nick ordered.

“Srag Scraggy!” Coolio nodded, chopping down on the Tauros. “Tauros!” it snorted in pain. It charged at Coolio, attacking with a Horn Attack. It dug its horn into Nick’s Scraggy, who staggered backwards in pain. “Ouch… Scraggy, use Low Kick!” Nick ordered. He nodded and made a dash for the Tauros, sweeping it and tripping it. “Tau!” it cried, on the floor. It quickly got up and countered with Take Down. Both Coolio and Tauros were struggling to remain standing, and Nick reached into his pocket. “It’s time! Go, Poké Ball!” Nick tossed the Poké Ball at the Tauros. The red beam captured it. Wobble… Wobble… Wobble… Spark!

Nick recalled Coolio and approached the Poké Ball, picking it up. “Welcome to the team, Toro Loco.” Nick grinned, then headed into the Restaurant again. Kat greeted him warmly, leaping with excitement. “You did it sugar!” she grinned, punching Nick playfully on the arm. Bill looked at him approvingly and motioned for Nick to go the Tauros. Nick nodded and entered the pen that held the mechanical Tauros. “Alright…” he sat down, inspecting it closely. Nick quickly noticed a painted on switch on the difficulty mode. It read ‘Beast-Kill’, which amused Nick.

“Heh.” He laughed, erasing the label with some spit and his finger. Nick then turned the switch to normal mode. Turning it on, he realized the machine seemed to be stuck in ‘Beast-Kill’ mode. “Whoa.” He noted, turning it off quickly before the tails whipped his face. Nick reached into his bag, pulling his tool set out. He quickly loosened the nut with his wrench, opening the control panel. Fiddling with the solenoids, Nick realized they had been tampered with to produce stronger bounces. “Huh… That’s weird.” He stuck his hand to attempt fixing it, but was shocked by the springs. Someone had magnetized them to oppose each other, making the Tauros swing wildly and deliver a mild shock to those who touched it.

“Hmm… Hobbes, come on out!” Nick called out his Joltik. “Would you kindly absorb the electricity in those springs?” he asked. “Joltik tik!” he grinned, happily eating at the electricity lacing the solenoids. Once they were drained, Nick touched them. They seemed fine, so Nick closed that up and accessed the Tauro’s difficulty computer. He erased any memory of ‘Beat-Kill’ level and sealed the bull. Kat looked down on him, holding a cup of Moo Moo Milk for him. “Thanks, Kat!” he smiled, taking it and drinking it to the last drop. “Delicious.” Nick put the glass down and got on top of the Tauros. “Say, would you turn it on for me?” he asked Kat. “Ya mean it’s done, sugar?” she asked, leaning over to the switch.

“Should be.” He laughed, gripping the bull as Hobbes jumped onto his shoulder. “Alrighty, honey. Here we go!” Kat pressed the ‘ON’ button. The Tauros began to jump up and down, side to side, trying to knock Nick off. “Whoa!” he yelled, hanging on for dear life. Kat laughed the entire minute the ride lasted. At last, Nick had tamed the beast. He got off, dizzy. Hobbes was nowhere to be seen, he assumed he had flown out of his shoulder and onto someone’s soup, but he was too dizzy to care at the moment.

“Good going, Nick!” Kat grinned, embracing him. She planted a kiss on his cheek, which left him even dizzier than before. “W-Wh-“ was all he could manage as Bouffalant Bill approached them. Kat suddenly snapped off of him as she saw her boss approaching. Nick struggled to remain standing, losing his footing and falling square on his rear. Kat giggled and helped him up as Bill finally stood before them.

“Son, y’all fixed up my mechanical Tauros. Y’all better be darn proud of yerself.” He grinned, shaking Nick’s hand voraciously before heading back to his office. Kat then escorted the dizzy Nick to a booth, where she sat with him. “Bessie, gimme two glasses of Moo Moo Milk!” Kat called to her Miltank, which was serving another couple. She rushed over and served them two glasses before hurrying away. Kat turned to Nick and grinned, putting her ten-gallon over his head. “Y’all are just such a funny guy.” She smiled. Nick couldn’t help but laugh.

-----

It was nighttime, and finally time to leave Bouffalant Bill’s Restaurant. After spending the day with Kat, Nick had exchange numbers with her and had given her his Team Aqua armband to remember him by. She escorted him out and smiled happily. “Y’all come on back now!” she called to him as he walked away into the darkness. Hobbes scurried out the door, catching up with Nick as he answered, “As long as you’re my waitress!” while adjusting his new Ten-Gallon hat.

Few things
1.) I know its sappy, but I'm experimenting.
2.) I did my research; Scraggy and Miltank are in the same egg group.
3.) I did some research on Mechanical Bulls as well.
4.) PROFIT!

3.) I did some research on Mechanical Bulls as well.
4.) PROFIT!

Marvelous! Definitely an enjoyable read. I especially liked the way you handled Kat and Bill's accents. (Must... resist... urge to play Star Fox 64...)

One thing I'd like to mention, is that when you have multiple speakers, you should break up the dialogue. Each new person begins a new paragraph. I this case, you don't need to double space it, just start a new line. Isn't that right guys?
"Yes, definitely."
[I'm bored, can I stamp this thing yet?]
"Dus!"

It's good that you took time to research these things, but ... do you feel as though that hampered your "creative problem solving" for the task at hand? Oh well. You had good battles and a good story. I just couldn't stop picturing the Texan tycoon from The Simpsons....

[Now???]
Yes, Shuppet, go ahead.

[PASS]

MISSION- Meteorology 103
The Weather Center is under attack by crooks! Go and stop them! (you will fight 3 crooks)

Pokemon:
Castform (given to you by the scientists if you help them)

Funds: 300

Nick had always wanted to visit the Weather Center to learn how their machinery worked and how they managed to control and predict the weather. So of course he jumped at an opportunity to visit the Center, even if crooks were currently attacking it. “Maybe if I’m lucky, I can save them and learn their secrets!” Nick said, responding to the urgent missions. Dashing for the teleporter leading to the Weather Center, he stepped through, appearing just outside the Weather Center. Rain was pounding down on Nick and the area nearby and everything seemed gloomy.

“Huh. This seems to match the mood.” Nick said to himself, running to the Center. He opened the door as thunder cracked right behind him. He scurried inside, tracking mud and grass with every step he took. Holding a Poké Ball, he walked around quietly, trying not to get caught. Hearing footsteps, Nick ducked into a room containing a bed and a PC. A loud walkie-talkie static noise startled him. “It looks like someone has broken the parameter.” A voice came. Nick looked around for signs of how he could have gotten caught and noticed his tracks. “Crap.” He said, looking at his mud trail.

“Come on out, hero. I know where you are…” the threatening voice called, coming ever closer. “Crap… Crap… Crap…” Nick continued, throwing his shoes off. He nervously lowered the sleeve on his right arm, pressing the ‘Cloak’ button on his Invisi-Watch. In an instant, he vanished. Seconds later, a tall man entered the room, looking around. He noticed the shoes tossed aside in the corner and laughed. “Heh heh. You’ve got nowhere to go. Houndour, sniff him out.” The man casually dropped a Poké Ball. “Hound…” the dog snarled.

The man pointed to Nick’s muddy shoes, to which Houndour responded by sniffing them. It then started to sniff around the room, much to Nick’s horror. The man chuckled as Houndour approached the bed. “Hound…” it snarled again, approaching the spot where Nick stood in silence, his breathing only audible to a Rattata. Before he knew it, Houndour stood before him, barking violently. “Give it up, bub.” The crook grinned. Just as Nick tried to make a run for it, the Invisi-Watch’s Cloak ran out of power.

The crook cornered Nick, spotting Poké Balls on his belt. “Hmm… You’re a trainer I see. Tell you what… If you beat me, I’ll let you run on out of here and forget you ever came in. If I beat you though… All your Pokémon become mine.” He cracked his knuckles. “Deal?” the Crook continued, pushing Nick back to the wall. “Get off of me.” He responded, pushing back. Houndour snarled in response to this as Nick tossed a Poké Ball. “Go, Zero!” he said, staring down the crook.

Zero glared over at Houndour, as the two snarled and growled as they circled each other. “Zero, attack with a Waterfall!” Nick ordered. “Totodile!” it cried, riding a stream of water it summoned, then crashing down on Houndour. The Pokémon cried like a puppy in pain, hiding behind its master. “What are you doing? Get back in there!” the Crook roared, kicking his own Pokémon back into the fray. It whined and cried again. “Frustration!” he ordered. Houndour charged at Zero, attacking him violently by channeling its anger and hatred for its trainer. Zero took massive damage, falling down.

“Whoa…” Nick said, looking at the Crook and his Pokémon. “… Zero… Use Aqua Jet…” he ordered, feeling guilty about hurting this already damaged Houndour. Zero attacked the Houndour with silent resolution, picking up on his owner’s emotions. As it hit the floor, the Crook kicked it away as Houndour yelped, unconscious. “That was the runt of the litter. Now for a real pedigree!” the Crook cockily snorted. He tossed a Poké Ball, and from its confines emerged Poochyena. “Pooch!” it snorted. Nick’s pained expression at the sight of Houndour being kicked was then transformed into anger. “Zero, finish this quick. Use Aqua Jet.” Nick roared angrily.

The Poocheyana was knocked out with a single Critical Hit from a Torrent-boosted Aqua Jet. “Totodile!” he dizzily cried. “Good job.” Nick recalled Zero. “You.” He pointed at the Crook, who was recalling his Pokémon and trying to get out. “You. Don’t you ever mistreat Pokémon like that ever again. Get out.” He yelled again, following the fleeing Crook to the door, which ran out. Nick sighed sadly, approaching the room where he ducked. Putting his shoes back on, he walked out and approached stairs.

Nick could hear voices upstairs, and he moved in carefully. He heard an obnoxious female voice, and bit his lip. “Hmmm…” Nick thought for a second, sneaking in. Silently rolling under a table, Nick crawled closer to the source of the voice. “Hah! It’s silent downstairs. I bet George beat that intruder to the ground.” She paraded around. Nick spotted a bunch of Scientists tied and gagged lying around the floor. Two Sneasels circled them, making sure none of them dared escaped.

“You almost done there, Grant?” she called into her walkie-talkie. “Not yet, Amanda. Give me a few more minutes and we can get the heck out of here.” A male voice responded, hampered by hard rain. Suddenly, the lights flickered. A shriek came from Amanda; she apparently did not like the dark. Nick struggled to maintain visibility, moving a little closer. However, he was unable to see and knocked over a chair. Again, Amanda shrieked and Nick felt two Pokémon near him. The lights flickered on again and Nick stood up. His stealth mission had failed.

“What have we got here?” she said obnoxiously, pretending she hadn’t screamed a few seconds ago. The two Sneasels pushed Nick towards her. “You must be that intruder… Well, no matter. I’ll tie you up with the others.” She grinned, grabbing the rope. “How about a deal?” Nick asked, grabbing two Poké Balls. “I beat you, the scientists go free. You beat me, you tie me up and I don’t oppose it.” Nick proposed, trying George’s tactic. Amanda laughed cockily. “Alright, you have a deal!” she smiled, snapping her fingers. The Sneasel ran to her side, slashing at Nick menacingly.

Nick tossed two Poké Balls, calling out Coolio and Pazuzu. “Scraggy!” “Magby!” they cried, looking at their opponents. The four Pokémon exchanged glances before Amanda broke the ice. “Ice Shard, the both of you!” Amanda commanded. Her Sneasels complied, digging Ice Shards onto its opponents. Both Coolio and Pazuzu were hardly phased by the attack, which let Nick counter.

“Pazuzu, use Flamethrower! Coolio, Brick Break!” Nick ordered. Pazuzu leaned back and breathed a strong stream of flames at a Sneasel, which just barely survived. The Sneasel that Coolio targeted fainted, succumbing to the Super-Effective Brick Break. “Oh, drat. Sneasel, use Double Team!” Amanda ordered. The Sneasel cloned itself, raising its evasiveness. “Brick Break and Flamethrower again!” Nick said. Both attacks missed, and Amanda laughed. “Double Team again!” The cycle continued until the point where Sneasel was nearly impossible to hit. Pazuzu and Coolio were growing tired, much to Nick’s discontent. Eventually, Amanda started telling Sneasel to attack.

A stream of Slash attacks started hitting Pazuzu and Coolio, weakening them substantially. As they both struggled to stand, Nick breathed in with resolve. “Why didn’t I think of this earlier?” Nick sighed. “Coolio, Faint Attack!” he smiled, stealing Amanda’s smug look as she exchanged it for one of anger. “You…” was all she could manage before Scraggy kicked Sneasel into her. She cried out in anger, recalling her Pokémon and getting up. “I hate you!” she cried out, running down the stairs.

Nick smiled and recalled his Pokémon, whispering: “Good job, guys.” Running over to the Scientists, he called out Buddy the Oddish. “Use Cut, Buddy!” he ordered. “Oddish…” he calmly walked over to the Scientists and in a flash, chopped all the ropes tying them. They all stood up, tossing the gags off of them. “Thank you…” the nearest scientist said. “There is one more of these guys, as you already know… We can help you… But we need a little bit of time.” He started. “Thank you… But I think I can handle him alone.” Nick reassured him. “No… He is calling in a Pokémon so powerful you cannot defeat it. He is summoning Rayquaza.” The Scientist continued.

“He is simulating the rains of Kyogre so Rayquaza can come to make it stop.” Another Scientist chimed in. Nick listened quietly, his jaw dropping with awe. The Scientists started pressing buttons on their machinery as one of the scientists commanded them. “We will help you. You need to stall for time…” they continued. “Can do.” Nick said, heading to the stairs. Remembering that Grant was on the roof, Nick climbed the stairs.

Opening a trap door, Nick emerged on the roof. Water drenched him as he struggled to close it, Buddy following behind him. “Stop!” Nick called to Grant as he fiddled with a machine near the edge of the roof. “And who are you?” he roared over the rain and thunder. “I assume you want to stop me,” he continued before Nick could argue with him. “But it is already to late. My target is on approach.” Grant laughed. “Oddish…” Buddy stepped towards him. “You want to battle? I guess if it will make you feel better…” Grant yelled over the roaring rain.

Nick bit his lip as Buddy cried out, actually tying to buy time. He felt the environment get colder, but decided it was an effect of the rain. “Lombre, beat back this fool.” Grant laughed, turning away to look at the skies. “Buddy, use Acid!” Nick ordered. Before Buddy could attack, Grant yelled, “Fake Out!” and Lombre slapped Buddy, making him flinch. “Darn it, Buddy. Acid this time!” Nick bit his lip. The attack connected, doing plenty of damage to the Lombre. “Fury Swipes.” Grant ordered, making out the figure of a giant Pokémon flying in the distance.

The rain turned to snow, as Nick started shivering. Grant noted and looked at the machine suspiciously. “It… It’s not responding,” he whispered. “It’s not responding!” he yelled as Lombre slashed at Buddy. The cold intensified as the Rayquaza in the distance approached. “No… This is not good… They know… They know!” Grant yelled, heading for the trap door. “No you don’t.” Nick stopped him. The snow started turning into a harsh hail. “You don’t understand!” Grant yelled.

“Understand what?” Nick opposed him, pushing Grant away. The Pokémon ceased fighting and gazed at the large figure growing ever closer to them. “QUAZA!” it roared loudly, the ground rumbling. Buddy and Lombre fled under their respective owners as the hail started getting worse. “Rayquaza hates snow! It’s a Dragon Pokémon and it will go berserk if it is unhappy!” Grant yelled in utter panic. The roar came again, closer than ever. The two exchanged a yelling match over the howling winds of the now blizzard.

Suddenly, Nick looked up in terror. “RAYQUAZA!” the giant serpentine dragon cried loudly. “He’s all yours!” Grant yelled, jumping off the roof of the building. He landed on top of a tree and slid down, running away with Lombre in pursuit. Nick took a few steps back in fear of the enormous Pokémon. “Odd… Oddish…” Buddy cried. A loud noise came from under the roof in the room where the scientists were busy at work. The hatch Nick had climbed earlier to get on the roof burst open, hundreds of Pokémon flowing out. They all quickly morphed into a crystallized appearance, chanting their name: “Castform!”

Buddy and Nick watched with awe as the Castform surrounded Rayquaza, who itself was confused at the sight of so many of them. Before it could even begin to roar, it was pelted with Weather Balls embodied with the Ice Rayquaza hated. It roared angrily, fleeing from the onslaught of Weather Balls. The Pokémon cheered and began hovering happily. Almost frozen, Nick and Buddy made their way into the building again. They were met with cheering scientists who tossed blankets over them.

“Thank you for helping us save the Weather Institute! As a sign of thanks, allow us to gift you with this Castform.” The lead Scientist approached the freezing Nick with a Poké Ball. “T-thank y-y-you…” he shivered. “Hmm. You should rest… The rain is coming back soon, so you need to stay here for a while…” the Scientist said, handing the Poké Ball to Nick. Nick nodded and promptly fell asleep on the chair he had been seated in.

Shaydas sat alone in his hideout, reading through the various bits of information his T.A.D.S. came with. One in particular caught his attention. The title was "Aura Guardian". "Interesting," he mused, reading the data displayed on the two screens. "Cameran Palace in Kanto? Well, looks like I'm off to the port." He closed the system and stashed it in his pocket before reaching for his bag. He slung it over his shoulder and threw on his trademark cloak as he left his sanctuary. Moving a few boards to cover the entrance, Shaydas jumped on his bike and sped off to Gateon Port.

The one time of day Shaydas enjoyed in Orre was night. The air is cool and refreshing as opposed to the stifling heat during the day. The sand tires on the Aqua Bike threw up a cloud of dust as the Lucario hybrid raced across the Orre Desert. He took note of the landmarks and stars to determine his bearings.

Shaydas arrived at the Gateon Port just before dawn the next day. A few shipyard workers went about their jobs in the pre-dawn light and took no notice of the new arrival. Shaydas had, in fact, been here several times; always to catch a boat bound for the other regions. This time was no different. Shaydas approached one of the cruise ships that had docked at the pier. The luxury liner was the world-famous S.S. Anne. He knew its schedule. It stops in Vermilion twice a year. This was one week before it was due to arrive there.

A man walked down the gangplank. He appeared to be one of the crew. The crewman looked over at Shaydas and smiled as he approached. "Nice to meet someone who plays for the same team, eh?" he chuckled. Shaydas was baffled at these words until the man pulled out a bandana emblazoned with the Team Aqua insignia. The crewman winked. "I'll find a cabin for ya. Follow me and don't make eye contact," he instructed. He led the way onto the ship. After a minute of wandering down narrow corridors, the crewman stopped and pulled out a key. He handed it to Shaydas and said, "Here's your room. Try not to draw too much attention to yourself, okay? Breakfast at seven, lunch around one, and dinner is at six in the evening. I'll be in touch." With that, he left.

Shaydas examined his cabin. It was pretty nice, especially since he was used to hiding in cargo holds. He plopped down on the soft bed and promptly fell asleep. Over the next week, he amused himself by roaming the ship freely. He didn't get too used to it, however. He had a mission. One day, a kid wandered into Shaydas' cabin. "Oops," the boy said. "Wrong room. Since I'm here, you wanna battle?"

-Youngster Johnny wants to battle!
-Youngster Johnny sent out Pidgey (Lv. 6)
-Go, Mudkip!
-Foe Pidgey used Tackle!
-Mudkip used Growl! For Pidgey's Attack fell!
-Foe Pidgey used Sand-Attack! Mudkip's Accuracy fell!
-Mudkip used Tackle!
-Foe Pidgey used Tackle!
-Mudkip used Tackle! Mudkip's attack missed!
-Foe Pidgey used Growl! Mudkip's Attack fell!
-Shaydas withdrew Mudkip. Go, Pawniard!
-Foe Pidgey used Tackle! It's not very effective...
-Foe Pidgey used Sand-Attack! Pawniard's Accuracy fell!
-Pawniard used Scratch!
-Pidgey used Tackle! It's not very effective...
-Pawniard used Scratch!
-Foe Pidgey fainted!
-Shaydas defeated Youngster Johnny!

"Aw, man!" Johnny huffed as he slunk out. It was a relatively easy win, but it was Shaydas' first real battle and he felt good about it. He let his Pokémon rest for a while. The rest of the voyage passed uneventfully. Nobody else challenged him, but that was fine by him.

The S.S. Anne dropped anchor at Vermilion Port as expected and Shaydas casually stepped off the ship. This was unfamiliar territory, but he would be fine as long as he kept cool. He withdrew his T.A.D.S. from his pocket and found the Aura Guardian mission description again. It stated where the castle was located, much to Shaydas' relief. Luckily, the Aqua Bike DX was a folding bicycle, so he could easily take it with him. He pulled out the bike and took off to the castle. The temperate forests of Kanto were a refreshing change from the desert of Orre, but Shaydas didn't let that distract him as he sped to his destination.

The palace was as the T.A.D.S. article described it. Shaydas approached the entrance, expecting something to happen at any moment. "It can't be this easy," he breathed. He met no resistance on the outside of the building. He stepped into the halls of the palace, staying silent in his footsteps. A young woman came out to meet him.

"You are?" she asked, trying to keep a tone of politeness in her voice.

"Shaydas," the hybrid replied, shrugging off the insulting undertone in the servant's voice. "I'm here to speak to the queen about Aaron's Scepter."

A voice from further inside the palace cut off what the maid was about to say. "Show him in," it said. The voice had a commanding quality about it, as though it belonged to someone very important. The maid looked somewhat put-off as she led Shaydas into a throne room. Various tapestries adorned the walls, many leaning toward blue and purple in color. The maid bowed and left, giving Shaydas a look of disgust on her way out.

Before he could speak, the Queen cut him off. "You're here to become an Aura Guardian. I can tell. The scepter is indeed in the palace, but you must locate it yourself. You'll do fine. You do have the blood of Lucario in your veins, after all. Very well. Return to me with the scepter in hand and I shall confer on you the title of Aura Apprentice. Happy hunting."

Shaydas hid his look of surprise by adjusting his hood. He gave a nod and set off down one of the halls in search of his prize. He searched high and low for the staff, but for a while had no success. His search took him to almost every area of the palace. The security must have been told beforehand because they made no attempt to impede his progress.

After what seemed like hours, Shaydas could feel a tingle move down his spine and into his tail. He was getting close. He felt a presence nearby, but could not pinpoint its exact location. He experimented with the sensation by going in different directions, feeling which one gave the strongest reaction. He eventually opened a door, hoping it was the one he had been looking for.

Inside, he saw what he had sought: Sir Aaron's Scepter! He walked up to its resting place and examined his prize. This was definitely the source of the presence. When he reached out to take the scepter, Shaydas heard something. He wheeled around to find himself facing down a Riolu, but it appeared to be less than solid. Shaydas felt that this was one of the guardians of the Scepter, as he got a similar chill when it appeared. The Riolu was posed to fight.

-Riolu appeared! (Lv. ??)
-Go! Mudkip!
-Foe Riolu used Quick Attack!
-Mudkip used Tackle! A critical hit!
-Foe Riolu used Quick Attack!
-Mudkip used Growl! Foe Riolu's Attack fell!
-Foe Riolu used Quick Attack!
-Mudkip used Tackle!
-Shaydas withdrew Mudkip and sent out Pawniard!
-Foe Riolu used Quick Attack! It's not very effective...
-Pawniard used Scratch!
-Foe Riolu used Endure! Foe Riolu braced itself!
-Pawniard used Scratch! Foe Riolu endured the hit!
-Foe Riolu used Endure! But it failed...
-Pawniard used Scratch!
-Foe Riolu fainted!

The Riolu bowed its head in respect and vanished as suddenly as it appeared. Shaydas took that as a sign that he could get the Scepter. He picked up the staff and immediately felt something strange, as though he had found some power within himself. He backtracked through the palace and entered the throne room, where Queen Illene waited for him.

"I felt you coming," she said in a soothing tone. "You have the Scepter and it has seen the power inside you that few possess. Even fewer can use that power." She stood up and took the Scepter before continuing, "You should know what I'm about to say. I confer on you the title of Aura Apprentice. Do your heritage the justice it so rightly deserves."

A few days later, Shaydas returned to Vermilion Harbor. He felt... different, as though some unseen change had taken place in his body. He gave it little thought as he stowed away on a cargo ship bound for Gateon Port. The aura was now with him...

MISSION- Meteorology 103
The Weather Center is under attack by crooks! Go and stop them! (you will fight 3 crooks)

Pokemon:
Castform (given to you by the scientists if you help them)

Funds: 300

My friend! I quite enjoyed this mission, and luckily for you it just says go and stop/fight them, it said nothing about beating them. Lol I was personally a little peeved that you didn't finish the battle with Grant, but with a severely irritated Legendary Pokemon on the way, I think I totally understand it.
Great job.

Pass! 300 PD and your Castform.
