"Gram, where's Crane?" Renae asked, debating whether to take Jeffery's offer or not.
"Fled" was the simple reply.
Renae let out a breath and gave a nod, lowering her hands. "You should know this is stupid." She said, walking backwards, but clearly backing down. "They'll take drastic measures to fix this problem. Drastic. You should have let the boy come with us."

Sam turned as they got closer to the bleachers, waiting for Barrett to get closer.
"Then get before I... s**t." Jeffery said, turning the gun on the van driving at him, firing a few shots at the driver.

Renae took the opportunity, with the van distracting the gunman she sent her third tentacle shooting from her wrist at Jeffery's neck. It was a last attempt, somewhat desperate considering her shoulder wound.

The windows shattered, but Crane had remained ducked under the dash, so the only reply was a loud scream, overshooting Jeffery, and made his way back to cover.
Barrett, again, made to tackle Sam.

"s**t!" Jeffery yelled, seeing the tentacle at the last second, his body locking up as it tazerd him to the ground.
Sam swung Barrett around, this time throwing him at the metal bleachers and the concrete they were in. The extra momentum from Barrett running let him sail a bit higher up. Sam glanced around, and saw Jeffery lock up.
"Who's savin who coach?" He sighed, running to the other side of the stadium, making for the stairs towards Jeffery.

Barrett smashed into the concrete, and chipped some of it up as he fell, and quit moving.
Crane peeked up, and saw the tentacle connect with Jeffery, Taking this chance to drive back up to get Renae, so they can gather up the others and get the hell out of dodge.

Renae shot her last tentacle at Sam, but it missed. She grunted and took the time to head into Crane's vehicle for an escape. The blood loss in her arm was too much, and fighting any longer would just leave bodies...likely hers. "Gram, head out of the field and back to safety." She yelled into her headpiece.
She jumped in with Crane. "Go."

Sam ran up closer, stopping to check Jeffery's pulse. He found the pistol and fired a few shots as they drove away, but none of them came close.

And as the van pulled away, there could be heard an echo of fire trucks and police sirens as they made their way towards the school, which had just had an explosion, and the reported gunfire.

"Gotta go, it's the po-po." Sam cursed, picking up Jeffery. He pocketed the gun and grabbed the rifle, moving over where Jeffery's car was, a bit away from the school, quickly loading it and bailing. ((return back to Jarred guy's place)

As Crane hauled a** out of there, Barrett made to stand up, shaking the daze from his head, and followed Gram out of there, and back to HQ, I'm guessing.

Kat made her way to the high school, a bit of smoke still billowing up from the night before. There was a small crowd, held outside police lines while the cops examined the scene. School was canceled for the day for obvious reasons, though plenty of the students made their way to the scene anyway. One kid was taking pictures as Kat passed by, saying something about the year book.
When Kat got too close to the scene, one of the cops gave her a warning. She promptly ignored that warning and stepped into a kiss with the cop, who after the first few seconds quit struggling and joined in. As she kissed him, letting information gather in, she heard the snap of a camera as someone took a few pictures of the crazy girl and the cop.

Neither Jeffery or Sam were there, for obvious reasons. And unless the Keepers had sufficient pull in the police, she learned of a body being found, since I'm assuming the speedster died.
A flattened, high-caliber round was found, but how it was flattened was unknown, and made it untraceable. A few rounds from a pistol were found a ways from the school grounds, but the gun had been filed off. They had little to go off of, beyond the traces of blood. The explosion and the torn up concrete, and the flattened bullet were what stunned them the most.

Kat hadn't in fact expected to see Sam or Jeffery there, though the discovery of a body left a slightly cold feeling in the pit of her stomach. She pulled away from the cop who tried to keep the kiss going, mentioning something about caramel.
She pulled back in the crowd, turning once more to her phone and trying to dial the number again.

The phone rang a few times before it was picked up, followed shortly be some fumbling and a curse.
"Pride residence." Samuel answered groggily, sounding as if he had just woken up.
