this was quickly becoming her least favorite obstacle. the good part was that it was the first one so she could do it without being as exhausted as she would be by the end.tucking her shirt into her skirt, Helen smashed herself down on the ground and started on her way.
humming to herself as she went, a good way to pass the time. Thankfully, her third run through was pretty uneventful and she successfully made it through. Glad she only had to do it once, Helen set off for the cliff climb.

((Second Run of course)) Serena was thrilled with herself! SHE MADE IT!! However, she would not let that first victory determine the war. She was going for it all! She was going to do this again! So she came back to the wires, and she prepared to do this again. Let's see if she could get through again..

So, some had completed his course already... Chef nodded in approval to the dirty and tired campers that pushed themselves to the limit before staggering off. As much as he would have liked to run them again and again for the entire day, the camera crew needed more than just the same obstacles over and over again.
Master Chief crossed his arms and scowled, watching and barking out 'encouragement' to those still running the course, and belittling those that left after one shot. Huh! So much for getting to whip them into shape! At least he wasn't like that one camper that lost his pants on the first obstacle... poor guy. Heehee!
When Helena fell into the gator pit, Chef ambled his way to that obstacle to see what the problem was all about... and snickered. Loudly. "It's Master Chief to you, girlie!" He growled, adding, "And that's not mah problem! Yew want it back, yew gotta get it back yoself soldier!" Ouch! Tough break.
He was pleasantly surprised to see Helena retrieve her skirt, though. In passing over, she managed to recover it from the gaping jaws of the alligator that watched her in amazement. Of course, there was still the problem of her knickers showing where the skirt didn't cover it, but hey -- the film crew would have a blast with that.
"C'mon yew insects!" He bellowed, "Crawl faster! Yer so slow that ah could've sworn that ah have to babysit 40-some slugs instead of pansy-tailed lazy campers!"

Kaitaia Kaitaia Kaitaia Kaitaia Kaitaia Heh! Axl reached the top without a problem. Turns out he was better at climbing cliffs than he was climbing trees! That, or Lady Luck had just been on his side. He'd found all the perfect hand holds and foot rests. Whatever it was, he was pretty proud of himself. He'd have to brag to Jay about that one!
His grin was a bit wider now as he jogged his way over to the next part, the creek with the gators. Having already spent the better part of an afternoon in a gator's mouth, he wasn't all that scared. When the rope came to him, he rubbed his hands against a non-muddy spot on his pant leg and grabbed it, getting a running start before he swung himself across. Well, that didn't work out for him. He didn't make it all the way across the river before he tumbled in the water. Cursing and swearing, he swatted at a gator that came toward him, glaring at it. Did he think he could fend them off with a well-pointed look? Who knew. He wasn't going to wait around to see if it worked though, he booted it back to the riverbank to try it again. This time he put enough force into it, and sailed across the river. He let go of the rope when he was sure he would make it safe across and landed, somewhat gracefully even, on his knee on the far side of the bank. "Yesssssssssssss." He punched the air, did a bit of air guitar and a little shimmy, then made his way over to the next part.
Oh man. Beavers. He didn't like those little buggers. Man, he lived in Canada, and he didn't like them. Shuddering a bit, he took a deep breath and climbed up on the log, getting ready to scurry across as fast as he could. THUNK! Something hit him, and he cried out. Aw ********. It was probably a beaver. Yeah, it was definitely a beaver. He whirled around trying to find the thing so he could kick it away. In his panic, he stumbled and got hit again, another loud thunk to the chest. As he was falling off, he realized what had hit him--a ******** seagull. If he hadn't been looking for the non-existent beaver... He probably could have made it.
Cursing and swearing, he made his way back for another try. Oh, the curses and swears that came from his mouth this time. In his hurry to get across, he'd slipped himself. Nothing pushed him over. In fact, he would have sworn the beavers were laughing at him.
He steeled himself again. Goddamn log, he was crossing it this time! WHAT. THE. ********. He didn't even know what happened that time! Shaking with anger, he dragged himself out of the ball pit again and stared down the log.
"This time. I'm crossing you. I'll drop kick any beavers that get in my way!" Scowling, he started again.

Serena screamed as she was thrown off the cliff from an explosive. She landed rather roughly on the mattress and coughed a bit. Now, she slowly got off, and rubbed her backside. That hurt! She brushed herself off and growled at the cliff. She was not about to let this cliff win! So, again she tried to climb.

Another go. (( ... >___> Forgot to roll. )) ... This time, he slipped off almost at the end. Axl was at his wits end, surely. He was blaming it all on the beavers. His worst enemy. Surely they were the cause of this.
Pulling himself back up onto the ground again, he stared at the log. Taking a deep breath, he stepped onto it again.

((Second Run of Course)) Serena was thrilled knowing that she finally made it over that cliff. Now to get across that pit of gators. She grabbed the rope and gripped it tight. She was growing more bold each time she had to do this. And... swing! She closed her eyes, but peeked out to see where the land was.

(For the Gator Pits)
Well, it seemed he was pretty lucky today, so by the time he reached the next part of the course, he felt pretty confident. Then he saw the ropes, where his confidence dropped just a little, the gators waiting below, though he liked them, didn't help much. He went up, pulling on one of the ropes, it seemed like it could hold his weight. Taking a deep breath, he swung off, hoping he'd make it.

Carmen stood looking at the wire crawling. She watched a few others do this. This didn't look to hard. The hard part would be keeping the mud from either slicking her clothes against her body or losing them to the barbed wire.

Amazingly enough, Carmen hadn't lost her clothing. Mud, however, covered her front torso, ever dripping off of her. She would need a bath for sure. She moved on to following some bodies that were heading for the cliff.
