"Well," Ewan began, "I can't teach dark magic to one as pure as you. It's especially risky in the beginner stages. I couldn't subject a princess to such spiritual strain. However, I can certainly educate you in the healing arts, as they draw their power from nature itself." He smiled softly and gently patted Akira's head. "And I won't even make you learn how to use those scary-looking needles. Do we have an agreement?"

Akira nodded, "Yes, I want to be useful." She said. Anything that would help her to help them, she wanted to learn. "Teach me what ever you can, I will learn what ever you teach me." She was curious about the dark magic he spoke about. She wondered why it sounded so forbidden.

Alex positioned himself into a sitting position that did not look comfortable but he was not complaining about it. He closed his eyes in concentration as he felt the wind. He did not like being caught off guard and so long as there was air around them he would not again. His consciousness expanded as though it were the wind seeking out any threat.

Calisto would lie upon the ground, as she seemed to be recovery. Her body would remain where it was half-covered, half not. The water was seeking out any threat they might have missed. Calisto on the other hand was just resting completely with a smile on her face as she was thinking of Alex. It was mischievous at first but the water element was trying to draw Alex to Calisto. The little imp of an element.

As his mind spanned the area his attention occasionally found itself to Calisto. He was quite attracted to her and her story drew him to her like a moth to a flame. It took quite a bit of concentration to pull away from looking at her as he looked for trouble.

Calisto eventually would awaken as she looked around. She had awoken because of the water element lapping at her feet. She’d look at Alex and smile as she looked then at Akira and Ewan then at Trickmaster. She felt comfortable around such friends. She knew four words that would probably throw Alex for a loop. She would not say them yet seeing that he was concentrating but wait patiently when he was done she would say them.

Trickmaster leaned in toward Akira. "If you would also be interested in other sorts of techniques for dealing with such vagabonds, I could indeed teach you a few things myself." He said as he retrieved the last of his daggers and caused them to disappear into his garb with a flip of his hand.

Akira looked at Trickmaster. Her face filled with joy! "Would you really teach me too?" She asked excitedly. She watched his magic, still lost in amazement. She wondered how he could do that! Was that something he may teach her?

Ewan smiled as he approached Trickmaster. "Between the two of us," he said, "miss Akira will learn a whole host of new techniques!" Without a single incantation, he conjured a small bowl-shaped shield, tossing it to Akira's other new teacher. "While we're at it, I'd like to see what you can do with this. An entertainer such as yourself should be able to come up with something." The healer winked as he added that last statement.

Akira watched the two men with a sense of amazement. Both were very talented, and both would be her teachers! She could learn something to show her family when she returned home. "What sort of things are you wanting him to do with it?" Akira asked Ewan.

Trickmaster deftly caught the shield and spun it on his finger like a basketball, but slightly slower. Each time the front of the shield flashed by, Trickmaster changed the color of it. Also as it spun he caused it to gradually change its shape, for a few moments it was a kite-shield, then he made into the shape of a spider, the into a plate, and then back into what it originally was. "One can find many ways to use a single item." He explained, still maintaining the spinning shield, "But if you run out of uses for that item, why not simply make that item into something else?" As he said this, the shield turned into a rapier and the twisted his grip to grasp it by the hilt, and then made an elegant flourish.

Ewan nodded, quite impressed. "Well, that certainly makes sense. A creative mind is all it takes. Your skill is more than comparable to my own, good sir."

Akira giggled, she enjoyed the show. "How did you summon that out of nowhere? And how did you change it so easily?" She asked trying to find the secrete.

After some time the woman did not return Alex allowed his consciousness to return to him. He let out a slight sigh as he regained complete consciousness.
Alex looked to Caisto and smiled knowing she was awake now.
"If that woman is still around she is hiding well." Alex said suddenly getting real serious once more.

“I like you Alex.” She would not say the true feelings she had for Alex as she smiled. She would sit up, but the water was still lapping at her feet playfully. She’d smile when she said it. She was sure that when she said that it was possible that Alex would start to blush. Her eyes just looked at him for a response as the water seemed to come a little higher up on her because of the tide shifting in the lake. She’d move a bit so that she was close enough to Alex she began to blush.
