scarvesandcyanide greetings everyone! my name is claire, but i much prefer being called hal or some variation of my username. c:
hrm, let's see. i'm sixteen years old and i live in the uk, meaning i run on gmt...otherwise known as the loneliest time zone. xD
i am a big fan of sherlock holmes and doctor who! my passion is roleplaying and i can never get enough of it!
my favourite colour is green and my favourite food is lasagne. i'm also partial to a plate of runner beans with butter~
let's see...what else...
ah! roleplaying-wise, i've always been one of those people who plays canon characters more than original characters. this being said, i do love the odd original roleplay!
oh! another passion of mine is the violin! since i was an itty-bitty child, i've wanted to play the instrument, and recently i saved up loads of money to buy one and start lessons! still only grade one, but hey-ho, i am loooooving it!
i am really bad at introductions, but, i hope i can talk and get to know all of you! i love making new friends and having new roleplay partners! hopefully, i will have the pleasure of roleplaying with all of you! :D

gonk I've always wanted to get into Doctor Who! Sooo many of my friends are into it and it sounds soooo cool. I just haven't gotten around to it, and don't really know where to start...
Also! I used to play viola! but it was a long time ago...back in like, middle school. I've pretty much forgotten all of it, but I'm jealous of your lessons >w>

Sherlock Holmes is awesome! As is Doctor Who, although I'm not so fond of Matt Smith. Still, I greatly approve of your fandoms and passions. biggrin
You live in the UK? O.o That's fun! Except maybe a bit rainy... >.> Well, all I really know is that it rains a lot, has a queen, and it is the home to some of the greatest shows of all time (read Doctor Who and Sherlock). Admittedly, it was unfortunately not also the home to Firefly, but you can't have everything. xD ((Okay, that's not really ALL I know about the UK. I did pay attention in high school history after all.. ninja ))
Anyways, welcome to the guild. I hope you find the roleplays to your liking, though I don't think we actually have any fan rps with canon characters at the moment. You're always welcome to start one yourself though! Hm... I suppose all I have left to say at the moment is not to hesitate in asking me (or really anyone else in the guild) any questions. We're all nice people who are willing to answer any question, and there are no stupid questions (Well... mostly) Ask away, no matter how trivial you think the question may seem!

Hey guise, I'm just a little newbieboobie here on gaia, so I hope you all can take the hint that I wouldn't be in this guild if I were a 'newbieboobie'...Yeah, so, that was awkward...
Anyway, I'm Annamarie, but I'm pretty much used to being called anything. Nerd is generic, so sometimes you can spice it up to Nerdypants McSpazatron, if you wanna 4laugh or not... Some people call me Ginger Ale, or Super Slut, but that's only if you wanna. I don't particularly mind being called anything, even if it's something offensive wink
My hobbies include sleeping, eating, breathing, sleeping, breathing, eating, sleeping, eating, sleep-eat-ing...Oh, sorry, got stuck there... We're listing hobbies, not natural necessary functions? Aren't the two primarily synonymous?...I ALSO LIKE to read, work, learn, write, mess with my cat (his name is Oreo, he's an American Shorthair who is not my v****a razz ), shove sweets in my mouth until my tickering tum is enraged and threatens to turn inside out and explode...and being completely wacky with reckless abandon~
I work at a library part time (party time almost got in there...it's close though), 20 hours a week, and I'm a full time high school student. I'm so freakin' psyched to graduate! My last day is June 8, the day I graduate. I live in the hot-as-balls Florida, on the West coast, so our beaches are on the gulf, and the sun threatens to sear my flesh off whenever I set foot outdoors, so I only visit them rarely (not to mention all the summer/spring break traffic that makes it nearly impossible to get there on anything less than a full tank of gas...). I'm an A/B student and most people classify me as an over achiever, but I'm one of the laziest over achievers ever. I like to go with the flow, and I don't make waves; super easy to get along with. I'm a people pleaser, so I'll do just about anything to make someone like me, as long as they're worth it, which seems like something of a conundrum, but isn't. I'm planning to go to community college for an AA/AS in Graphic Design, but in my posts I feel simplicity is the way to go; less is more, as the saying goes.
Generally when I roleplay I play a quirky female bisexual, but I really like to step out of those boundaries; the only problem is that I get bored or finicky quickly, so that can backfire. I'm mostly into romance rps, because I suck at real romance, but I love fictional romances. -swoon- Those are the rps that I find myself sticking to, so for now, that's what I'm going with.
A quick warning to end this message: I'm all over things when I post. By this I mean that I'm not patient about waiting for things to get going. I check for new replies constantly, even though I pretty much can't write/post a reply until around 8pm my time. My day is a long, strenuous one (as everyone's is): I wake up at 5, drive to school, get home with about an hour to eat and get ready for work, then work until closing at 8, power on home, eat some dinner, check what's going down on the interwebies, shower, go to bed, rinse, repeat. I have a particular teacher every day though that will most likely allow me to post if that becomes a huge issue, seeing as I do have homework and such to do. That's another thing, I'm a procrastinator to the extreme. Why do today what's due tomorrow, I always say! This will only be another distraction in that path of homework, which I fully understand, and do not care about. Like, I have an essay due tomorrow for my AP Lit class; this is more important to me.
This has been sufficiently longer than I expected...

Simplicity? After reading quite a long introductioin I can't imagine your posts being simple. Haha. Anyway, it is nice to have you here. I see we can add another art student to the list.
The only thing that you might have to learn is patience. A lot of us can get caught up in the real world and things can go really slow sometimes. But we also have quite a bit of new blood here so hopefully that won't happen as often. :3 I do believe most of us graduate this year as well.
Ooooh so you play a character similar to me! ;D Just kidding...sort of. xD That was my lame attempt at being funny. And welcome to the domain of procrastinators! You're in the right spot! Also, you will surely grow here if you want to step out of your boundaries. Feel free to jump on in or look for a one on one with someone. We're here to help if you need anything.

I don't pester or complain, I just get very antsy when things lag for more than a few days and absolutely nothing happens. I can understand life getting in the way, I seriously can, it's not something to get around, that pesky ol' life thing. YAY FOR GRADUATES! 8D
I was looking through your current roleplays and wasn't too interested, but it's been a long day, so I was going to keep browsing for the moment. Do you think it'd been too sappy if I just started a new rp that's a little more up my alley until I'm more comfortable with my surroundings here? I was thinking something along the lines of a murder romance...I love both topics, and they go so well together heart

Josaku: majoring in Spanish Ed., I assume you want to be a teacher. Do you already know which age group you'd most like to teach? I apologise here for the rest of my rambling welcome, for some reason I feel like you're the kind of person to appreciate brevity. On occasion I have been known to achieve prose eloquent and concise.

I wish I'd started a list for all the books I love, because now when people ask for recommendations, I know I forget so many. I love reading. A lot. heart I also love dance. I did ballet for years, going en pointe when I had just turned ten, and being accepted as a company member in grade eleven. I also loved jazz and modern, and I took some tap too, but took a break for several years before taking it for a couple more - I can't do anything terribly advanced at this point. I stopped everything when I left for university (where I am now - I still need one more year) and that is currently one of my biggest regrets. I've taken a few classes here and there over the years, but I've lost a lot of strength and flexibility. I haven't lost my dancer's heart. I'm currently working to get back in dancing shape and I will return to dance. I swam competitively through most of high school, and while I'm not on a team, I do swim occasionally, and work as a lifeguard and swim instructor over the summers. I guess that's a very basic look at my interests, I hope to see more of you in our forums!

O.o Long posts... Didn't expect that. Welcome to the guild, Nerdy and Sai.
We would, in fact be ecstatic if you created your own rp in our guild, nerdy. Perhaps when you get settled in the guild and get used to our sometimes excessive members you can work on expanding your comfort zone and joining new rps.
Please excuse me for not reading all of the info you put up, Sai. You'll find that I'm a bit... hm... well, it's not that I'm really uninterested or lazy... But... I know that if I read it I wouldn't remember it since I have an awful memory. So... yes. I'll just wait until the stuff you listed comes up in conversation since it's a bit more memorable that way. biggrin

So many welcomes! Would you believe there is absolutely nothing to do in the port we made in France? Seriously, everything opens at noon and closes before dinner! I don't blame you on not reading it, Silent, it's really just fun things to know about me. For now I plan on trying to join at least three or more of the merry multi players, Zodiac and Teen Titans if they aren't closed to people.
