Alora was a bit surprised at how quick the others were to decide to go or not, but at least they didn't have to wait anymore. She backed away with a disgusted expression as the servants head cracked. What the... She looked around at the others who didn't seem the least bit surprised or scared by this. We are already getting used to killing and death... It seems so wrong... She shrugged the feeling off and smiled. "Yes. Let's get going, no time to waste!" Alora gave a quick glance at the timer before running after the worm creature. She was still amazed by his powers, but they didn't have time for that now.

Andy watched the servant in horror as his head split and he sank into the ground like a worm. He was struggling to keep a calm expression as the servant disappeared underground, leaving behind not a single red drop. Feeling the world shift around him, he looked towards Ixpath. It must have been another one of those speed spells. Glancing at the ominous floating timer, he took Ixpath's skill as a blessing to the group. Doesn't that guy ever run out of energy, though? As Andy started to jog after the others, he wondered what this "Game" was, and what exactly the party was going to be like. He spoke his thoughts aloud. "Lord Marquis, huh? A guy who sends a human invitation and then kills it? Sounds like a great party host. Personally, I would prefer to skip out on this party, but it doesn't seem like we have a choice. We have to eat eventually."

"If you haven't noticed already, samurai, there are deer in these woods. Could we not hunt them?" Aansalath spoke loudly enough so that they could hear him. He looked towards the path and started walking. "But food can wait, we must leave now." He didn't care if he left everyone behind, but he was going towards the door. He walked with his cane in hand and his other hand in his pocket.

"Now I wait for them and I hope they don't take too long for their arrival, this food will start to get cold."
Marquis wasn't lying about the food; he had set up several tables filled with delights gathered by his servants. He wanted the Players to be healthy for the test and to see what their peak performances were. This was also a test for the few of those hiding as Players, to make sure they haven't gone soft.
Marquis prepared the food personally, not to the best extent since he was quite large at seven feet high and he usually made his own food anyway since the servants were quite filthy. Outside the maze like structure was four tables lined with chairs and at the top of the alignment was Marquise's levitating throne. It needed to levitate for the Players who were put in reserve for his little game.

((Heh, not really anything to say here, but i'll just point something out.
Using D&D standard rules, He's a 11th lvl Wizard, +10 Lvl adjustment for being a Worm that Walks.
He cast all of his spells below fourth level, then cast Mordenkainens Lubrication, which gives me five third level spells back. He used one of his Scrolls of Mass haste (His only one, because he was carrying it at the time of his translocation to this world.) Which gives everyone bonus speed. So he has.... 3 5th level spells, 5 4th level spells 6 3rd level spells, and 7 1st, 2nd, and 0th level spells.
The downside to this is that he's a wizard. 11d4 of hit dice, plus piercing and slashing damage reduction, and spell resistance. So essentially, if someone comes at him holding a club, he's royally f**ked.
For anyone wondering, his stats are Str 9, Con 15 (Racial) Int 25, Wis 9, Cha 5. He's Lawful evil.))

Azaurmyth "If you haven't noticed already, samurai, there are deer in these woods. Andy laughed. "Of course I knew there were deer in these woods. You can't really expect me to hunt deer with a sword. If I knew that I was going to be teleported to some freaky alternate world with deer, I would have brought my 'Remington'." Glancing back at the others, he noticed that Korsu was having trouble keeping up. His huge mass wasn't built for running. "How's it going back there, big guy?" Andy asked. Korsu just shook his head and kept on lumbering.

Aansalath rolled his eyes, "I can hunt them, I have to if I want to feed." He continued walking, determined to make it to the next level. He half wanted to meet Marquis, half didn't want to know what more powerful AI there was. He decided to turn his thoughts back to his plans, for even Ixpath couldn't intimidate him. He scoffed to himself, thinking how rediculous mortals were.

((Eh Sorry I haven't been on... sweatdrop on a lighter note, I just finished reading Looking For Groups. =D Anyone heard of it?))
Kiba was running at the front of the group, finally learning how to control her new found wolf like abilities. She was excited for this 'party'. The strange thing was she wasn't very hungry even though they had been fighting and running around all morning. Maybe it was because she was rather wolf like now, and wolfs could go weeks without eating?
Sorika sighed. "Why are these Players so sloooow?" The other groups were at least at level 3 by now. At this rate she would have to wait a decade just to fight then. Of coarse she probably have gone crazy by then and slaughtered them against the GM's will, but still. What was she suppose to do to entertain herself while she waited for the Players to get to her level.
The GM chuckled. Sorika was always so eager to fight. "Sorika, if you're aching to fight that badly, you should go down to level 15 and fight some of the monsters there." That way Sorika wouldn't go crazy and she could hone her fighting skills. She would have to kill any of the Players off early. "Check on the level 3 and 4 boss dungeons, too."
Sorika gave a nod and stepped into a portal, checking on the level 3 dungeon before anything else.

((Hmm, I have a good idea for one of the bosses. I wanted to make him a Reaper at first, but I guess I'll just settle for a dungeon boss.))

... Necropost.... What do you people want me to do? Given the lack of any guiding force, my DM instincts are starting to take over.
