The Reaper's cackle rang out again. Another one stood on the roof of a nearby building. "Well, that is a better idea. Freezing me rather than burning me." he called down with a smile. "But I'd still manage to melt my way out eventually. Hm, I get the feeling that I'm starting to annoy you with the duplication powers I aquired from that tasty little girl. I suppose letting you know that I could be anywhere right now, gaining more powers, wouldn't help your mood much." he continued in a poison dipped tone
A gruff and ragged homeless man with black eyes and equally dark hair peeked out from a nearby alleyway. A small smile twisted across his face.

"Whatever gave you that idea?" Kara grated out. It had been a very long time since she had hated anyone this much; even Luthor was motivated mostly by desire for profit, not by... what? Pure evil? Deep breaths. Freaking out isn't going to help. Right. Maybe... if she could use her super-hearing to pinpoint everything that was making human-like sounds but not a heartbeat, she could freeze all of the clones in one go, and then shatter them. She listened... and... yes. There was the one on the rooftop, obviously, and there was also one in an alleyway. Zipping forward, she froze the one in plain sight, and then went into the alley-- And it was a homeless man. At first, she thought she'd made some sort of mistake, but then she took in the expression on his face. Furious, she grabbed him by the front of his filthy jacked and slammed him into one of the buildings, then dropped back into normal time. "I," she said slowly, every syllable trembling with rage, "Am getting really, really tired of you."

The Reaper suddenly, no, instantly felt himself slam against something. The bones in his chest shattered on impact. He found himself staring at the girl again. He took a quick glance up at the roof and found his other self frozen. He smiled and tossed his head back and laughed. It was more human sounding this time, but still dark and menacing. "Well...I guess this trick won't work on you. It did while you were taking your frustrations out on that humanoid rhino." he said, even his voice was more human sounding. "So go ahead, toss me around some...see what happens. I really did send myself all over the place...this won't be the last you see of me. I could be out there right now with the spider and that adorable little girl." he said with a wicked smile. "And out of curiosity...what are you going to do when the boy want's his symbiote back? He won't let you keep it...and I doubt you'll ever be able to kill me without it."

He had been... watching her? That entire time? The whole time she'd been playing around with that idiot, he'd been... Without realizing it, she pushed him further back into the crumbling brick. "YOU STAY THE HELL AW--" She cut herself off, consciously forcing an at least partial return to calm. It took a good thirty seconds. "I can't kill you with it," she hissed finally, "So don't even try to pull that. This thing is coming off just as soon as I can figure out how to do it. And you know what else?" She leaned in, her enraged blue eyes inches away from darkly amused black ones. "I may not be able to kill you, but I know people who can. No, screw killing; I know people who can make a pocket dimension that you'll have all to yourself. Your own personal hell." She pressed him a little bit further into the wall. "One of them is bound to show up at some point, so enjoy yourself while fun is still an option."

There was not even a hintage of pain from the Reaper as the girl's fists sank farther into him. A dark smile crept across his face and a glimmer of pleasure flashed in his dark eyes. "You're having quite a time keeping that thing down, I'm impressed. Must be killing you to not rip me into pieces..." he said quietly. A terrified scream rang out from somewhere down the street. "...as enjoyable and satisfying as it is." he continued. "Well then, I suppose if recess is only going to last so long, I'll have to get it all out of my system while I can. Paint the town red.".

With that, Kara's self control snapped. With as little effort as most people would expend tearing a sheet of tissue paper, she ripped him in half. And you know what? He was right; it was enjoyable and satisfying. Without bothering to clean up or do anything with the remains, she turned and sped off in the direction the scream had come from.

After a few moments, the Reaper akwardly sat himself up. Well, the parts that had such ability anyway. Slowly he began to laugh again, parts of him melting into a crimson pool and reforming themselves around the active portion. He looked back up at the street with a crazed gleem in his eyes. Well, this had been fun. He'd let his little clones drive her up the wall for a while. Since his disguise no longer worked on her, it would be best to find some other playmates for a while. With that he melted into a pool and slinked into a storm drain.
A Reaper copy stood over the remains of what must had been the end of a little family outing. He took a seat on the pile and held his scythe beside him, waiting for the girl to arrive.//ooc: wow, i didn't intend for him to be this dark...but for some reason i kinda like it. He's like my carnage. I kinda see him having Lights laugh or a Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni laugh. (Wierd/cute/funny/creepy/nasty anime)

((But at the same time, he saved that kid... I have to say, I like him, too. He's complex and thoroughly evil. Nice.))
He was frozen before he even knew what hit him, and shattered into thousands of tiny fragments when Kara hit him on the way past. Her eyes stopped for a brief second on what had served as his gruesome chair... and then she was off again, using her super-hearing to pinpoint the locations of the clones and take them out. She did not drop out of super-speed once; it was obvious that she couldn't afford to.

Another Reaper made his way out of a hospital, smiling and cleaning the blade of his scythe off with the bottom of his cloak. He didn't masacre the entire place, just the ones who were going to die anyway...he didn't have time to kill everyone. Besides, there were more of him in the mall, park, police station, school, all of the crowded and important places. He was more into getting on the woman's nerves than he was to filling a quota. And the more time she took up here, the more time the rest of him had to spread out and find new powers. He wondered just how many of himself it would take to drive this girl over the edge.
Just so it's said...other Reapers EXIT to various locations...update later//ooc: Ah, that's true I gues...well, it's after 2 again. Not sure if I'll be on the same time tomorrow or not.//

There was a sudden eerie green crackle of electricity in the sky, which seemed to rapidly condense into a ball until, about a thousand feet above the Metropolis Skyline, Superman phased into existance."Finally!" he thought, "I've been using the dimensional portal at the fortress to scan alternate realities for weeks trying to find out what happened to metropolis, and here it is! Now I just have to figure out how it got here and how I'm going to get it back." Surveying his the city that had served as his home for so long now, he suddenly noticed that at it's western border, (where the city usually petered off into suburbs, and then farmland as the highway meandered towards Smallville) There was another City, it looked like New York, and Gotham seemed to be meshed in on the North side... and there seemed to be some mid-european countryside that overlapped with central park. "What is going on?" The man of steel mused to himself. "I'm starting to feel really glad I left Lois back at the fortress." The two of them (Clark in his secret identity, and his wife Lois,) had been enjoying a short sabbatical in Hawaii when they'd gotten wind that huge portions of Gotham, San Francisco, Metropolis, and numerous other locations, had simply vanished into thin air. Having dealt with similar occurences in the past, Superman had automatically assumed some interdimensional phenomenon was taking place, and had quickly retired to the Fortress of Solitude to attempt to discern where the missing cities had gone. Lois had begged him to come along so that she could write a first-hand account of events in Metropolis as they took place, but he'd been able to find the city and leave through the portal while Lois slept. "I'm sure she'll be really mad when she wakes up, but it really was for her own good, and the robots will take good care of her while I'm gone..." Taking in all the geographical chaos below, Superman realized that this was probably a pittance compared to what was happening among the citizens of these various cities that had been plucked from their own realities and smushed together. "I need to find Bruce and Kara NOW." Superman thought. "Hopefully I can use my hearing and super-vision to sort through this mess and find them." And with that, Superman took a deep breath and began to search.
((ooc, hope that wasn't too long...))

((Enter Metropolis))
Shocker had managed to escape from Fisk Towers and made his way the city of Metropolis. Banks in New York couldn't identify the money that the Commissar had given him, but the banks in this new city called Metropolis could. Upon cashing in the money and opening an account in Metropolis that Russian Rubbles Shocker had received from Commissar were from quite awhile back, Soviet Russian age to be exact. The bank still accepted them, but the amount due ironically from all the bills together equaled to twenty-five thousand dollars; the same amount Fisk was paying him. Now Shocker had betrayed Fisk for just the same amount of money Fisk was going to pay him; Shocker wasn't pleased. Feeling betrayed and deciding to start a new criminal record in Metropolis, Shocker raised his right hand with his Vibro-Smasher and aimed at the person on the front desk.
"Now that this transaction is concluded, get out of my way."
Shocker pressed the button on his right Vibro-Smasher slightly and blasted the receptionist right off of her feet before using his left to smash away the desk. Shocker was looking for a vault somewhere in this bank so he could make a 'withdrawal' and then see if he could gain anymore cash from this fancy city called Metropolis. Upon a quick look around, Shocker found the vault for the bank with quite awe due to its size and how much steel they probably wasted making it.
"Seems they went the extra mile here."
Shocker began his work trying to crack the safe; finding it much more enjoyable to actually open a safe then to just blast it open since it created quite a mess and also could damage the money inside.

Superman had been right, it was chaos down there, but he'd managed to zoom in on something peculiar in his general vicinity. Someone was moving faster than anything he'd ever seen, in fact, he could only barely register its existance by the fact that whatever it was, it slowed down every now and again to pummel what looked like multiple copies of the same skeleton-like man every few seconds or so. The fast thing was obviously fighting an uphill battle, as Superman could see that these things were everywhere. Superman exhaled slowly and tried to get a lock on the fast thing, by taking his eyes into super-speed himself, and focusing on a nearby cluster of skeleton things, he was able to get just a glimpse of a dark-colored cape, matching mini-skirt, and long blonde hair. "You know, I bet that's Kara, unless this universe has really fast speedsters...KARA!" Superman yelled out as he flew straight at the skeleton cluster the fast-thing was working on. "KARA! IS THAT YOU!?"

Kara caught something moving slowly out of the corner of her eye-- pretty unusual at her new super-speed-- and glanced to the side briefly, then lurched to a stop in mid-air; it was Kal-El. Funny, after two solid weeks of praying for him to show up and help her, she felt only emptiness and an oddly sharp pang of annoyance at seeing him. About damn time, she thought. "Oh. Hi," she said, her voice subdued, "Can't really talk right now. If you want to help, go find a magic user." With that, she was off again.

Another reaper casually strolled into the bank again in disguise. He exchanged his raggedy look for something more...costly. A fine suit, clean cut hair, same twisted gleam in his eyes. Though he looked slightly bored now. That girl was taking him down like a child stomping on ants at a picknick. Wasn't as much fun when she arrived instantly. Ah well, give himself some more time to explore a bit while he kept her busy in this area. Perhaps he could cause a bit of chaos with the people rather than killing anyone. Let the people panic a bit when she arrives and just takes down what looks like an ordinary citizen. ...No, that wouldn't work. They'd just see him suddenly burst into chunks of ice. They wouldn't see her. Though they would still panic a bit he supposed. Oh, what to do.
