"I don't know." It was obvious and always had been that Adrian liked this 'mushy stuff.' That he put up with it or even initiated it always made Carlos happy. He was half cat; snuggling was something he loved to do. Unicorns like it too, but Jimi would never admit to something like that. "Did you have anything in mind earlier, when the movie was over?"

"I didn't have anything else planned. I didn't have anything planned for today other than not going anywhere or seeing anyone and then you showed up." Adrian did like this mushy stuff, but it was boring after awhile.

"Well, hm..." Carlos hesitated to suggest they look at or try out his car. It had come up earlier. He didn't want to start anything again, already. "What would you like to do?"

Adrian shrugged. "I'm up for anything. I don't really like much." He paused. "We could still go look at your car... if you want. As long as we don't bring up giving each other things it should be okay, right?"

Carlos' ears flopped a little. He would love to give Adrian something that would make him smile. But maybe it would just take him more time to accept gifts from Carlos. Carlos nodded. "We could do that. I think when you saw it, it wasn't quite finished. But I can drive it now. Not very well yet, but I can..." He grinned, "Maybe we could go for a drive somewhere!"

Adrian nodded. "All right. We can go do that if you want. Can you drive it legally? Not that it really matters. And as long as you don't get us killed." He wouldn't mind going for a ride with the unicat, it would be a new experience to say the least.

"Oh sure! I have a license, I'm just not that great with a stick shift. I can drive an automatic no problem," the unicat grinned. "If you prefer we can drive something else, if you wanted to go for a drive."

"Alright, so we won't get in trouble if you get pulled over, that's good at least, I guess." The rat shrugged, he wasn't sure about all the law stuff involved with driving. "And your car is fine." He actually wanted to see the car, now that it's done.

"Maybe we'll just go somewhere with less traffic, and less opportunity to attract the cops," Carlos laughed. He started to pull away, lightly taking hold of Adrian's arm. "You want to go right away?"

Carlos hopped to his feet. "Sure, let's go now." He watched Adrian, tail waving as he wondered at the rat's choice of words - as long as you want to go. It seemed a little strange, not that it especially bothered him. "Oh... I walked here. Hope that's all right." Yes, he had a car and kept forgetting to drive it. Of course it was more a case of enjoying the walk than anything else.

"You walked here?" Adrian was fine with walking, since he did it most of the time, but wouldn't that mean going back to Carlos's house? "Would that be a good idea?" He wanted to go for a ride with Carlos, he did, he just wasn't sure about being back at the unicat's house.

"Well... yeah." Carlos rubbed the back of his head. He understood that Adrian didn't want to cause a scene. It was funny in a way, he could cause a scene in private but not in front of Carlos' dad. He leaned up and kissed the rat's cheek. "I suppose I could just walk home and drive it back here. It'd probably take me an hour at the most."
