Armus looked down at Rhea and smiled warmly at him.

"You look thoughtful, Rhea," she murmured softly. "Is something bothering you?"

Aras grinned at Kanis. "Good," she said encouragingly. "Because Ruran sure needs to be taken care of! You gotta show him that we're just as good as him! Even if he doesn't think so."

Rhea shook his head and just nibbled the meat. He didn't know what his mother had asked of him but he thought now it would be best if he shook his head at her tone. And soon enough his mind was back clear and just thinking about the tasty meat in his mouth.

Kanis smiles and nods, "I will not let you down Aras." She let her eyes flow to Armus and Rhea.. She didn't like the thought of having to take down a sibling. Why did it seem like things were going to turn out very sad...she wish she could see into the future...

Armus smiled and watched Rhea, her eyes soft and tender. He was such a sweet boy, even if he was wild ...

"Girls," she called softly over her shoulder, "while we're walking I want you to keep your eyes open for landmarks that we passed last night on our way up. Anything you recognize. Mention it."

Aras looked startled at Armus's order, but she began to look around obediently. "Like a weird tree or a rock or something like that?" she asked.

Armus nodded. "Exactly so."

Rhea started to look a bit sleepy as he finished his meat. The warmth of his pack mother and the full belly maybe him feel safe and warm. But he let a big yawn go and tried to get down to start looking around the trees. He really should be learning the area better.

Kanis was off in her own thoughts and just nodded her head giving a yes ma'am even though she was not really listening. She didn't know why she was so filled with a bit of worry and fear. But she did see the poison ivy and without much though said, "The Poison Ivy patch to the right now...it was on the left when we were climbing up."

Armus felt Rhea's yawn, though she wasn't looking directly at him, and she wasn't sure if letting him down like he wanted to was a good idea. He was more likely to stumble and fall if he was sleepy, and she wasn't ready to let him do that - not yet. She had just found him after all, and she was still feeling ... probably quite overprotective towards him.

She held him against her shoulder and rubbed his back softly, turning to smile at Kanis.

"Not bad," she smiled, "but unfortunately the entire mountain is filled with poison ivy patches. There's little to tell one apart from another, so try looking for something else ... trees twisted in a certain way, or perhaps some flowering plants that you remember - they're much more distinct, even from each other, and it's safer to use them as landmarks rather than the poison ivy."

Aras was looking around anxiously, but to tell the truth she couldn't find anything specific that she remembered from the trip up. She hadn't been paying enough attention, and now it was being proved to her.

Rhea yawned against and being held against a warm body he grew even more sleepy. He sighed and nuzzled against Armus his eyes starting to grow heavy.

Kanis nods at the correction and stay quiet. Apart from the poison ivy she did not see anything else that was something that could stand out or that she remembered. Her mind had been other places..and her little breathing spell had taken her mind out of things.

Besides being a surprise still her attention span though at time really on, was not very long. So she remained quiet as she walked unable to voice anything familiar.

It took them a few hours, but finally Armus led the children back to where they had left Corrah and Ruran the night before. Armus still held the sleeping Rhea in her arms, and the girls were following behind her.

Aras, for one, was growing tired again, even though their walk had been entirely downhill, and she was holding Kanis's hand and looked as though she wanted to put her head on her sister's shoulder.

Corrah and Ruran were nearby, and Corrah was still teaching Ruran about the different kinds of wood, which were better to burn, which were better for kindling, and which smoked and which didn't, and how to tell the difference between all of them even without having to touch them.

Kanis saw how her sister was doing she looked up at Armus, "Can we please take a break...both Aras and I need to rest please." she smiled and patted her sister's hand.

Ruran tried hard to listen but right now he wanted to start training on real physical stuff not on trees and sticks and fires.

Rhea remained sleeping softly nuzzling against Armus from time to time.

Armus looked over her shoulder at the girls, and then down at the sleeping boy in her arms, and nodded.

"Of course," she murmured softly, sitting against the trunk of a tree. "We're close, but there's no need to rush. Go ahead and rest ... you can sit, or lie down if you prefer."

Aras looked up at her sister's touch and smiled gratefully at her, but before she could sit down properly her knees collapsed under her and she fell to the ground and sprawled herself out exhaustedly.

"It's a long way," she murmured, winded.

Armus smiled. "It may be downhill, but it's actually harder on you than uphill," she explained quietly. "Rest all you need."

Corrah could see that Ruran's mind was wandering, and he broke off the lesson abruptly.

"You want to do something else," he stated flatly, his tone indicating that he wanted the boy to explain what it was that he wanted to do.

Kanis smiled and joined her sister laying down on the grown. "I can feel the work." She laughed softly and looked up at the clouds in the sky. Her mind starting to find a small bit of peace.

Rhea's ears flicked and as Armus stopped moving and sat his eyes opening. He gave a yawn and looked around. He wondered if this would be their new home.

His tail wagged and he shifted to a squatting position. He barked at his sisters wondering what was wrong with them.

Ruran jumped a bit showing he had been drifting off. "I want to learn...some simple sword play....or something...some fighting." He sighed not liking the look in Corrah's eyes, "Of we can talk bout twigs and fire...sir"

Aras curled up in a ball and put her hands beneath her head to use as a makeshift pillow. Even Rhea's bark could do nothing to restore her energy ... she was plumb out of it.

Armus laughed at Rhea and she poked at his shoulder, knocking him over. "You're one to talk!" she teased him. "You slept the whole way down!"

Corrah looked Ruran evenly, thinking deeply.

"Before that," he said softly, seriously considering the boy's request, "before you can even begin fighting or swordplay ... you have to train yourself physically ... agility ... speed ... endurance ... strength ..."

He paused thoughtfully, still staring, unblinking, at Ruran.

"Is that what you wish for this moment, until your parents come to collect you again?" he asked softly. "There will not be much time, but I suppose ... if you truly wish ... we can begin that training."

If the boy wasn't going to listen to lectures, there was no point in giving them anyways.

Kanis felt herself drifting off to sleep a bit as she was enjoying the warm son and a time to rest. She ignored the barks from Rhea and the sounds of Armus.

Rhea roll onto his back as Armus poked his shoulder. He giggled and growled playfully and now that he was free of the warmth of his mother's arms he rolled back onto his feet and trotted over to Aras to lay down and rested his head head on her belly. He didn't know why she was so tired.

Ruran nods, "Well if we do not have much time should we not then...well maybe at least get a preview of the physical stuff? I want to have something to show my father."

Aras was used to sleeping with her stuffed dragon, and so when Rhea put his head on her belly one arm curled down and around his neck, hugging him close just as if he were a plushie, without her even opening her eyes to look. It was pure instinct, a habit built from her life before today.

Armus giggled. She couldn't help it: they were just so cute.

Corrah raised one eyebrow. "You think he won't be impressed with knowledge of fire?" he questioned. "Fire knowledge is among the most important there is to know, and the hardest to learn. Anyone can learn to run, or fight ... but they will not feed you or keep you warm."

Kanis could not help it she rolled onto her side using her arm as a pillow and she was fast asleep.

Rhea shifted a bit as the arm moved around his neck and his legs spread over to rest on kanis's thighs his tail beating quickly

Ruran started to tense again. He was not impressed with the fire or knowledge of it. He was starting to get very annoyed. He shrugs and sighed, "What ever...lets go back to the fire..." he sighed.

Armus looked up at the sky to check the time, then looked back down at the three children. They looked comfortable enough, and it was true she hadn't specified a time to meet back with Corrah ... yes, they could rest. They needed it. They deserved it.

Corrah raised one eyebrow. "If your mind is going to wander, there is no point," he pointed out. He rose to his feet and stretched a bit. Hours of sitting in one position was hard even on him after all.

"Up," he said shortly, motioning for Ruran to rise to his feet.
