Gabrielle hurried into the trees, trying to figure out why she was freaking when 10 seconds ago, she was elated. She and Xena had had so many losses during their lifetime, and the thought of a gift like this was so amazing, but it always seemed like the more they were given, the more they had taken from them. In the middle of her musings, she collided full-on with the Goddess of love. "Oh! Aphrodite! What are you doing here?" stare

Aphrodite was about to say something sarcastic, but the look in Gabrielle's eyes stopped her. "I came to see if you were OK, sweet pea," she answered softly.

*pulls out a turnip from my vest and tosses it to you*

"Whoa!" Aphrodite soothed. "Whoa, my planning and scheming is done. Thanks to me, your Amazons are gonna be repopulated in no time!" She threw her hands in the air in excitement. "See? I did a good deed just for you!"

"You did a good deed by making a bunch of women warriors have sex with a random bunch of men just so they could have babies? You might as well have put a rape spell on the men! It would have caused the same amount of emotional damage.
And what about the Amazons' safety? These are fighting women who are constantly being attacked, and now they're going to be short a ton of guards. Do you know how vulnerable that's going to make them?!
Not to mention the fact that I hate Ares. I can't even express my full displeasure to you about that!"

"Gabrielle, you don't have to worry about those Amazons' saftey, I promise! These dudes are gonna be so happy about mating with those chicks, they're gonna be protecting Amazonia themselves! Trust me, you have nothing to worry about.
And as for the Ares thing...I...I just...wanted to give you a child, and none of those loser brutes were worthy enough to give you that. I'm sorry, I didn't know it was going to be traumatizing to you."
