The Uchiha used to just walk the streets, look for food and help around the village. Sure, helping people was fun but that was usually all there was to do when you didn’t really know the other Academy students and didn’t want to be at the place they were at, so, wouldn’t be able to. But, as Senritsu learned quickly, there were ways to meet Academy students outside of class, such as how she met Shisei, Karite, Kore, and Serena. She could meet people, that wasn’t hard, when they weren’t in the Academy any longer. Senritsu’s eyes turned towards the sun. It was afternoon already. Shouldn’t those Gennin Graduation things be going on about now? That would be a sight to see. But, she didn’t want to end her training just to go and see what was going on. No, if she finished in time she’d do her best to make it and see what few friends she had, graduate. Senritsu held herself against the tree once more, ready to really try to make it to the other side. There was a way she was going to do this correctly and she’d find it and take advantage of it once she did. The girl took off, not too fast, and not too slow, like she was trying to run from something just out of it’s reach so it wouldn’t hit her. The trick is not to overly get away from something. You’d be wasting too much effort and energy that letting it scarcely pass you by instead. Just then, her hand touched the tree and she smiled. She did it without hurting herself or damaging the tree.

Quickly, before she had time to think about it, she twisted away from the tree and kicked herself off from it, feeling the tree slightly wobble towards the top as she did. It must not have been such a strong shoot if it were to do it so easily. Senritsu found herself quickly approaching her destination and she kicked on the breaks, but the grassy floor of the forest wasn’t making it so easy for her. As she did stopped eventually, her chest slammed against the bamboo and knocked the air out of her. That wasn’t the best type of emergency break but it worked decently enough. She would need to keep in mind to take into account the flooring next time. It wasn’t like it was wood that got good traction or rocks to keep her aware of not falling. Grass was slightly tricky. You never knew if it was densely grown and slippery or dry and easily breakable. The only real tell it had was whether it was a shinning bright green or a more dulled and slightly brown color. The grass around Shima was always a lush green though in this time of year so it was just hard to tell one way or another.

Little Sen pressed her back against the tree, wondering if there was a way for her to tell just how much better she was becoming at running between the trees. It would definitely be a lot easier to see when she should stop if she knew just how fast she was going and how much more training she needed to be just a slight bit better at doing it. She thought about just doing a certain amount, but then she wouldn’t be able to tell whether she was really becoming better or just doing a repetitive motion over and over again. Senritsu then thought about counting the seconds to see how much faster she’d be going at. She nodded to herself at the thought and decided that was what she would do. First she’d see how long it took her to get from one tree to the next before seeing how many seconds she would need to shave off. She ran as she had before to the next tree, seeing it took her five seconds total to do so. She’d shave off a half to a whole second next shot. Well, that was what she was aiming for.

Thinking of what she could do in order to shave down her time between the trees, she saw one of the fluffy little bunny rabbits she had come out of the Estate in order to find in the first place. It made her laugh at how she got so distracted and ended up doing a lot of things she hadn’t meant to. But it was worth it. She got to meet Serena and learn that there were crocs in the Forest of Sorrows. It wouldn’t have been very good if she walked right in and ended up getting caught up in a tussle with one of those wretched creatures. It wasn’t like Senritsu wouldn’t mind seeing one, she just didn’t want to be caught in it’s jaws and be eaten for dinner. Speaking of, where was she going to get her food tonight? Maybe she’d raid through the cabinets at the Estate? He had to have something she could eat there. While she was thinking about where she’d get her next meal, she had made it to the tree without counting the numbers. She didn’t count it personally but she could feel it was just a slight bit faster than what she’d done before so she counted it a success.

Fixing herself for her next take off, she tried to clear her mind of what all she had to think about so she wouldn’t end up getting distracted again. It got really annoying sometimes with how much she thought about all sorts of different things. She needed to clear her mind with an eraser some time soon so it didn’t happen again. But, knowing herself and her tendency to constantly think about things that will, and have happened, she knew it wouldn’t last more than a few moments before she ended up thinking about things all over again. She stuck her tongue out at the thought of it all and began her running. Just as she tapped the tree on the other side of her small line she’d been running back on forth on, something slammed into the top of her head. It caused her to become dizzy and fall to her knees. “What…” she whispered as she looked around. All she could find on the floor beside her was a piece of the bamboo shoot she was pushing against when she ran back and forth. Had she hit it loose?

Senritsu rubbed her head as her bottom lip seemed to puff out a bit from how sore her head was becoming. Trying to shake off the feeling the piece of bamboo left her, she got up and held her eyes closed for a moment or two. “Alright…Well that didn’t feel too good now did it…” she asked herself as she reopened her eyes and tried to focus. It was a rather hard hit. When she was able to see straight once more, she got ready to finish up with what she had to do. Starting to run towards the other tree, she still could see two of everything. Depth perception wasn’t really the best thing to be counting on at the moment that was for sure. And sadly, for her, it was. She was getting extremely close to the tree and quickly side stepped to the right of the tree before she reached it, it was the quick thinking decision that kept her from ramming her face into the bamboo. “Well, I suppose that’s good…” Senritsu leaned against the bamboo she’d almost ran into so she could get her sight back to normal. Head hits weren’t good for her, they made things spin a lot and her thoughts not clear. Hey, maybe she got her eraser after all!

Perhaps she should go to the Estate sooner than she thought. She could just finish her other exercise later on. She needed time to rest. Oh, she remembered the fact the Gennin thing was this afternoon. She should probably go and see if Karite passed or not. And congratulate him if he did do it. She’d be able to get in a few questions about what they ask of the graduates too. The one thing she was weary of was whether or not they’d require you to have other people with you when you wanted to become a Gennin. If that was true then she would have to ask Sukotto if he knew any of the current Academy students that would be at the point she was. What she did know was that, because of Sukotto’s absence, she’d need to see if there was anyone else around that would be able to help her learn to two Jutsu that she needed. She already knew Bunshin, she just needed to know the other two Jutsu that were to be taught at the Academy. But, she didn’t want to go there and ask what they were and how to learn them. Senritsu was able to see clearer now, and started to run again, she made it at a decent time so she didn‘t think anything of it.

Senritsu was wondering what all she should do the next day. Maybe she should head around town and see if any of the people need help since she had not done that for quite a while. There had to be something to entertain herself with. She’d have to come up with another list of things to do before the day was over. So, that left her with finishing her game outside of the Estate when this was over. That wouldn’t be too hard seeing as how she was almost finished with that. Tomorrow she’d definitely have to try to find someone who knew the other two jutsu so she could learn them before Sukotto got back. That would definitely make his job of training her easier. Besides, when he returned he’d be a Chuunin and have his own squad. He wouldn’t be able to train her every day anymore and she wouldn’t be able to follow him around. Senritsu sighed at the sad thought before closing her eyes and thinking about how she’d miss the fact he wouldn’t be around much. It wasn’t like they’d be constantly away from each other though. She’d be able to see him every now and then right? Senritsu nearly fell as she tripped on the branch from the time before as she touched the bamboo shoot.

Sighing, she could feel her enthusiasm for him actually passing the Chuunin exams dulling the more she thought about it. She liked the fact he was around her a lot and wouldn’t want to completely stop that because he’d be away with his new squad and her, when she was a Gennin herself, with her own squad. Her squad…Who’d be on it? Other fresh new Gennin or experienced Gennin? And who would her leader be? A new Chuunin or perhaps a Jounin? What if it was someone annoying? That wouldn’t be good. Even worse if she was stuck with both of the worst. Well, not that a new Chuunin would be bad. It would be interesting to see someone only a few years older than her trying to lead a team of fresh Gennin. And, it would be even more interesting to see if the person failed. Thinking about it further, what would she do if she herself had a team when she was a Chuunin? Would she really even be able to have the mental capabilities to be able to do something like that? Hopefully there’d be other Chuunin to take all the brats and leave her by herself. She could really get into being a Chuunin and being left alone without some kid trying to get her to do something with them. But her mind switched to Sukotto again and how kind he’d been in training her and it made her rethink herself. Maybe a little tag along wouldn’t really be too bad. But she didn’t want to have to deal with three of the little suckers. Her hand touched the opposite tree as she finished yet anther good lap. They were becoming easier and easier to do as she went on. Perhaps she’d gotten to a point where she was a little bit better than before?

There had to be something for the girl to think about other than when she would rank herself up. She knew she was strong, perhaps not physically but mentally, and she was quick on her feet and easily able to hide in the skinniest of spaces due to her slender figure. Shoot, the only thing that was even a bump on her was her still developing chest and behind. Though still, when she fell it wasn’t that much of a cushion for the fall. She had a few more years to grow up and develop her body. Maybe then she’d actually have an interest in the opposite sex like all the people around her seem to be having. Hell, Karite has had a girlfriend for how long now? And it seemed like every Academy student seems to have a crush on someone, not to mention almost all the Gennin. It was rather annoying seeing everyone around you seemingly pairing up with someone while you are just following around some guy who is the same way as you and doesn’t pay attention to the other sex the way most hormone crazed teen is. It was completely unfair in her opinion. But, it wasn’t like it mattered. If she were to fall for a guy her mind would be away from what she needs to do. Kind of how her mind always seemed to transfer to where Sukotto was…But that was different. Completely different. She didn’t care about him in a romantically sense, he was only her trainer and friend nothing more! ….wasn’t he? Senritsu had already touched the tree when she was thinking about what her real relation with Sukotto was.

Even if what she was thinking was true, how could she even think that way about him. They were related, albeit not closely, but still, they shared the last name, the same blood. Wasn’t that wrong? Well, for these times it was normal for clan members to…well…have relations with each other in order to keep a blood line going. She held her face in her hands and sat down on the ground thinking. She couldn’t like him. She just couldn’t. It must be just her thinking a lot again, that was all. That had to be the reason! “Jeez I need to stop thinking so much…I’ve give my self a disease this way…Either that or drive myself completely insane with worry.” Wait, worry? She should be worried about this. There was no use for it. What could she possibly be worried about? The fact that she may have a liking for her friend? Or that he may not feel the same back towards her? “GAH!” Senritsu had never felt so confused. She always knew what she was thinking, how things were going, what would happen next. Why did this one tiny minute factor drive her so completely insane?! She needed something, anything just to get her mind off of this strange feeling she was having as she continued to think about it. She needed to go back to the Estate. Now. She needed to finish her training with the rabbits. At least if she was concentrated on them she wouldn’t be thinking about Sukotto and her not being able to see each other very much due to their new ranks, or the question of her relation with him.

Kore walked into the forest purring lightly. He had finally escaped that crazed woman and that tasty rabbit. He could do what he did beast. Walking through the woods, the lions tail shifting the grass beneath it. Looking around conjuring a deep growl in his throat. As the lion did his natural habits he noticed his favorite meal. A large buck was about sixty yards ahead of him. Sneaking in closer the lion hugged the ground and sneak behind a bush. Shuga had taught him well when he was younger and he had practiced it for many hunts after it.

As Kore sat he felt he was undetected by this large buck. As he prepared to move in he waited an extra moment. As he slinked lower to the ground the lion took very small steps. Letting his body sink into every movement, trying to take this slow and precise. In all his time he had yet to have a perfect hunt. As he crept closer he stopped as the buck lifted its head from its grazing. Waiting a moment for it to settle down to eat the hungry cat pressed on.

As the lion felt he was in close proximity to jump on the buck, the lion licked his lips and waited. As he smiled the best a cat could. Growling as a slight forewarning he let his body jump at this sound turning it into a full on roar. As the lion landed on the buck it let out a high pitched squeal as it toppled over. As the lion rolled over the buck it quickly fought the earth to speed its way to the bucks neck. The lion was doing much better than he ever had. If he could finish this buck so quickly things would be over quickly and he could eat his share.

As Kore sprawled up the lion got to close to the horns and got pricked. As the buck pushed the lion tot he side, Kore found himself having his body forced into a tree. As the buck pinned him the lion could only roar out in pain. As the lion scratched at the buck it backed off and ran. Kore was a little hurt but he wasn't letting dinner get away, never have and never would. Getting off the tree the lion had gotten really pissed now.
