My boyfriend is my ultimate gamer boyfriend. We love a lot of the same games (Final Fantasy, Zelda, Breath of Fire). I introduced him to Diablo II, Phoenix Wright, Devil May Cry, Maple Story, and a few others. We help each other out, and give tips. We can go to a games store and 90% of the time, pick something the other would love to play. Sadly he won't play fighting games with me. He doesn't have the dexterity I do, and I kick his butt every time. Other than that, it's all good blaugh
I've dealt with guys who thought I would suck at gaming, because I'm a girl. I've dealt with guys who follow me around channels, because they think I'm willing to talk about sex with them. I've dealt with guys in real life who didn't believe I could whoop their butts at a game (I beat some of the guys in my class at Unreal Tournament, after they laughed at me for wanting to play).
Gaming is now a solid part of our generation. The number of girl gamers can only increase, and the number of guys who think girls can't/don't play will go down.
