"I have learned my lesson," Jack responded, still in a whisper. "But what has brought you here? Have you changed your mind about me?" Both of his hands lingered on her hips, keeping her close to him. ----------------------------
"Cora, why have you been hiding here for so long? I don’t understand." Demyx tilted her chin up with a finger to reveal shining lines on her face. His hand brushed aside the tears. He thought for a long moment. "Yes, I trust you. With all my heart I trust you..." He nodded solemnly at her words. "I wont say it again, but I cant help what is on my mind."

"I think people have room to have a change of heart." Syvra whispered back, grabbing fistfuls of Jack's shirt and pulling his face towards hers so they could resume kissing.
------------------------------------------------------------
When he asked about her hiding, Cora's hands began to tremble. She let go of Demyx and stepped away, crossing her arms across her chest to hold her aching heart together, her back facing him and her head down looking to the side, eyes closed. "You trust me, but you don't know the entire me. Have you ever heard of the Valcori's secret weapon? The Fanged Smile?" She waited with bated breath, not knowing what to hope for in his answer.

As the open wound sealed up, Kye regained control of his body and quickly stepped back, looking around to see if anyone had noticed his change in behavior. Almost everyone had. He sighed as he tried to avoid the stares of what must have looked like him trying to make out with Alice in front of everyone. Well, that was what he was presuming, judging from the whispers and the renewed glares at the two of them.
He looked back at Alice, who was still staring at him with a hint of panic and terror. "Er...sorry about that. I haven't had any good blood in awhile..." He whispered to her. "I just need to drink something other than animal blood sometimes, you know?"[[Eh, I know i should be posting more. I was really busy today, sorry.]]

Bella's breath eased as he returned to normal. She heard more whispers and saw more girls glaring at her. She could only imagine what that must have looked like. "Lets get out of here before we get a reputation okay?" She said with a small smile. She understood, and figured it best they should go. She knew of the diet of the vampires here. And she felt bad for them. A flash thought of giving Kye her blood flashed through her mind. She internally slapped herself for it. What was I thinking? She cursed herself. As they left the cafeteria.

"My thoughts exactly." Kye followed her out amidst the curious mutterings and shut the door behind them, feeling his fangs retract and his stomach grumble. "Hey, sorry about that again. Are you still hungry? I have food in my room. Not the best, but it's something to eat..."

"No, I'm fine." She said. And it was the truth. The sudden rush of adrenaline cured her hunger. "Kye its alright, there is no need to apologize. I shouldn't have been such a clutz." She said as they walked towards his dorm.

Jack laughed as Syvra grabbed him, obviously upset at his pausing. His hands went to her hair, running through it and intertwining his fingers. She must tell me soon. I cant wait much longer.
-----------------
Demyx moved to go to her, but stopped when she mentioned the Valcori. "Yes, I know of it," He said slowly, carefuly. "I know not what it is, but I have seen its aftermath. I have seen the devistation it causes....the lives it has ruined....Oh yes, I know all too well of The Fanged Smile." His voice had risen, his temper showing through. He did not notice his hands ball into fists. "But what does this have to do with you?" Part of him didnt want to ask. He wanted to remain ignorent to whatever Cora had to do with such a weapon. She was perfect, and he wanted to leave it at that. And yet....he had to know.

"Tell me truthfully, from one manipulator to another," Syvra said as she came up for air, "If I tell you what you want to know, will you then proceed to ignore me and pretend whatever we did was just a lie?"
-------------------------------------------------------
Cora cringed like she had been struck, outwardly and inwardly. She could hear the hatred in Demyx's voice, almost feel it roiling off of him in droves. So he knows of some of it, she thought. She glanced back, just to see his reaction, and the temper that showed on his face and in his clenched fists made her lose hope. She quickly turned away, and she began to cry silently once more. "Not only am I cursed with the black tears, but I am also cursed with the battle fury of a berserker. When my clan brings me into battle, I lose my mind and I black out for a while. When I wake up, I taste blood in my mouth and it drips down my chin as well as my sword and axe. I've heard stories about me and there are paintings, murals even, in our convent's lair lauding my battle rage and how it's won many battles for us. All I see are the faces of the dead staring at me with their throats ripped out by my fangs and their bodies stabbed through with my weapons." Cora collapsed next to the sofa she had been lying on minutes before, burying her head in her arms and sobbing. So now he knows how wretched I am, she lamented inwardly, I guess it's for the best that he knows. He'll know to stay away no matter how much I want to be with him.

"No," Jack said truthfuly after a moment. "At first I would have just walked away from you like I did the rest. But now....No, I like you too much. You are here to stay, if that is what you wish." His hand touched her neck and trailed down to her colarbone slowly. He was so close to getting the information, but he had to remain calm.
---------------------
Demyx hardly heard what Cora said to him. He was staring distantly at the ground before him. "So it was you," He breathed, falling back into a chair that was seated a few feet away from her. His hand went up to his eye, trailing lightly across the scar that cut across the right side of his face. That scar was the ghost of a wound that had left him half blind, a wound that still ached today. "We were doing pretty well for a while," He wispered, hardly loud enough for Cora to hear. "My father thought the Valcori were backing out, but now I know they were just making room for you." He didnt look at Cora, instead looking back out the window. "Half of my clan was wiped out in a few minutes. My family died with them. I was the only of them to escape, but not before....you...." His hand fell away from his eye, and he finaly looked at her. "I didnt know what was happening. I could only see red. I blacked out pretty quickly, though." Demyx was staring at her with all the hate and sadness he had felt that day."Why didnt you just kill me too? Why did you leave me to wake up next to the bodies of my parents?" The hate melted away, leaving on pain. He put his face in his hands, his body shaking. It had been the most terrible moment of his life. One side of his face was ripped apart and he could hardly see. He had crawled to his feet, only to see the body of his poor mother, with her once beautiful face now twisted in the memory of pain. Her neck was a sight he had been holding in the darkest part of his mind. Under her body lay his younger brother, who would never make it to the age of 12. Demyx had dared not look at his brother or mother again, or even remember what he had seen. But he remembered now, and it was killing him.

Rose leaned against the door to Demyx's room, her foot tapping restlessly as she stared at the crowd which had gathered a few feet away. "I suggest you all leave, before I run you through with a vine." She took a step forward, waving her hand pointedly as a threat. Most of the elementals shrugged and left, but two remained, their bodies held high and their faces defiant. "Why must we leave?" One asked, his voice shaking despite his look. The other was more sure of himself. "We want to know what has happened to Lord Liceryth. He has not been himself lately, and someone said they saw him with a girl. A vampire girl." He had whispered the last sentence, but Rose could still hear the venom in his voice. She marched over to him, seizing the front of his shirt. Vines looped outward from her palms, curling snuggly around his throat. "Your words will be the death of you if you do not watch yourself," She hissed, her eyes boring holes into his. "Demyx would do nothing to endanger your clan or any other elemental clan. We are his kin, and he is a good leader. Now go, and do not spread petty rumors." The two boys left quickly and without another word. Rose waited for the door to close before slumping down onto the floor. She propped her chin on her hand, closing her eyes and trying to hear Demyx's voice through the walls. She didn’t want to know what he was saying, just hear him speak. He never talked to her anymore. There had been a time when they were very close, but she had ruined that with a kiss. His words to her after that had shattered her heart, and for a long time she neither spoke nor listened to anyone. But Rose had found herself again, and she wanted to mend that gap between her and Demyx. She had planned on talking to him, on sorting things out a bit, but then Alice had come along. That didn’t bother her, she liked Alice, but after that the other strange girl had shown up. Why is Demyx talking to that strange girl? Who is she? Perhaps he wants to know about the black tears, or maybe she is a friend of Alice. Rose picked herself up from the floor and moved into a chair. It didn’t matter what Demyx was doing or who he was talking to, she would help him as long as he needed her.

"Eh, not your fault I drink blood." They arrived at his room and entered, shutting the door from the curious students scattered about the hallway. With a wave, he beckoned for her to sit wherever she liked and walked to his closet, popped open a chest, and drew a packet of dark blood out.
"My stash." He smiled mischievously, pulling a candy bar from a cabinet and handed it to Alice, simultaneously sitting down on the edge of his bed. "Don't tell anyone, wouldn't want to get expelled."
