She was getting close now and she knew it...there was so many warning signs. In the air, in the water, and she expected the next to come of the earth itself ...it would make sense ...as she got closer and closer to the heart of this place. Speed, she needed more, but she only had so much ...as the Suzaku would wing lower instead of higher as if she could feel the differences in the air above them and had no wish to challenge it ...not yet anyway.
"We will be there soon."
Nakano told her partner.

Though fate was against her mad dash as she would appear. Dark in feathers the Vullaby would land directly in front of her with her wings pulled back. A creature that followed death ..was she too late as the bird would look at her with a grin that would make many a creature take a few steps back in shock alone ...as she spread moved one of her wings up a bit and tries to preen it.
Not a easy thing considering her own built as he stopped she looked at them with a glare of death.
Surely they didn't think they were going to simply get past her and the trick with the kunai wouldn't work this time.

Nakano didn't even need to call her forth this time as she simply lands in front of them both as the girl screeches to a stop. She couldn't go any further even though she wanted to continued her forward rush. Her feet skidding lightly as she looked at the bird in front. She wasn't flying like the other, and something about her stance told the girl that she wasn't going to be driving her away like the other.
This was going to be a much harder fight and time consuming as she looks at her and almost wanted to groan. She could switch to her fire fox and this battle would be more in her palm, but strength of her foxes fire didn't give her the confidences that Suzaku's steel even with the problems of it.
"Fine, I was hoping to get though this without any more damage."
Suzaku's eyes narrowed. She had been hoping for the same.

The first strike belonged to the Vullaby as the bird saw their defensive stance and would rush forward as she let her wings turn as hard as steel. She was going to break this bird and make them cry out in pain as she went for the legs of the Skarmory. Long like a stork, she was going to drive her into the ground with that first hit ....make her hit the ground and from there finish it up with a gust. This was the bird's place as she made that charge.

The attack would hit, but her armor held as she open held her at a distances with that one wing and would push her back as effortlessly as if the Vullaby hadn't managed to hit at all. The winds of the afterlife would howl at her ...as this darkness seemed to give them even more power than normal as Suzaku smiles dangerously at her.

She tells her as the winds howls grow louder. As Suzaku uses Ominous wind ...even as Nakano yells loudly.
"Blow this bird out of our way."
A sweat drop ran down Suzaku's head ..she didn't know whirlwind as she let the winds scream forth at her opponent.

The Vullaby was expecting that the Skarmory would be hard, but not that hard ...as she lands back on claw. Her wing stinging as she flaps it once to release it from the steel that had covered it ...as she skids to a stop as the bird made a threat of death against her. She open her wings ..her kind is normally too heavy to fly, but that didn't mean that with the right amount of winds help she couldn't managed to soar.
And as this bird boost of her power the Ominous winds would swirl underneath hers as she moved to ride those wings of death as all of her kind did. There was no way a bird that uses the power of ghost would be able to take her down ...as she sneers in her face.
((You won't take me down with those winds ...for they are my home.))
She told the Skarmory.

(11 - 8 + 10 - 12 = 1/2 = 0.5 dmg rounds to 1)
The attack was weak as it hit, but she wouldn't get away with all of her feathers attached as Suzaku saw that one had been plucked from her. This was truly going to be a weak battle, but there was nothing they could do ...as even Nakano recognized it for what it was....a stalling tactic.
And there was nothing that they could do about it ...at all.
"Counter-attack use Ominous Wind again."
Nakano cries out in impatiences as she recognized the trick of it all.

It was true, this was a battle that would take forever, except if she couldn't managed to somehow break the dead lock. The bird would glide down completely unharmed ..she had afterall told her that her ominous wind was useless against her. A smirk was on her face as she kept her wings spread wide ...as she felt those winds again and only laughed at them ..the could no more hurt her than a fly, but her own ...her wing wind might be able to be more damaging as she met those Ominous winds with her own gust. Power versus power as the two collided ..the strongest one would mow down the opponent as she laughs quite haughtly as she saw the flaw in the bird's armor.
(Also there is no dmg. 11 - 8 + 8 - 11 =0 dmg(remember, Ominous wind is a sp. attack)

The attack would connect this time ...as Suzaku would scream out as her own winds were pushes away. There was only one way for this end, and it was her defeat ..she could see it unless something changed as she tries it again. Another Ominous wind, if it failed ...Nakano knew it a switch would be necessary whether she wanted it or not.
She growled her own failure as she watches as the attack would lash outwards at their opponent.

The pokemon was being pushed back quite steadily, and the Vullaby saw no reason for mercy at that moment as she would lash forward. Her wings spread as she would send out her own counter-attack another fury of winds as she used gust once more ....this was going to be it, and she knew it. That weak attempt at keeping herself above water.
Surely she didn't think she was going to get to the center with such weak attacks with such weakness period.

Suzaku took the full blunt of those winds again as she driven back. Her own attack was no match for something that existed solely on this plane. Her heckles were raised as she took a step backwards ...it was clear that she might fall here ...as she looked to see what the bird would come with next. Her own rage was clear ...she hated losing, but there was nothing else that she could do right now.
She step backwards and simply hoped that she could defend against what was coming next.

Once more hit, that was all that was needed as the bird would open her wings this time to finish her off as she uses once again ...Gust. The move spiraling like a twister as it came at her ...the plan was quite simple ...it would put her out of her misery and make it clear that they could no more get past her then defeat the creature at the center.
She was doing them a favor by forcing them backwards now. The Vullaby reminded herself of this fact as she would gather the winds around her again ..this was to be the final blast and then she would run away with her tail feathers missing only a few feathers.
The thought was satisfactory to her.

With her back against the wall the girl would do the switch as she calls back the skarmory ...as she put one palm against the kunai. Forcing Suzaku back in as she would call out her other pokemon ...another kunai being pulled free as she threw it up into the air and this time ...did a different set of symbols with her hands. Catching it the kunai's jutsu was released as what was in her hand was a pokeball as she smiles a the Vullaby.
"I am not planning on running away."
She tells her as she releases the male fox upon the ground. His tail flicks a bit as he looks at his opponent and then at the girl.
~Are you serious ...that bird is going to kill me!~
He declares loudly ....but it seems that wasn't going to get him called back into his pokeball as he holds his ground. Carrot Vulpix (m) lvl:3/Jolly Hp: 6/16 Pp: 17 Att: 8 Def: 8 Spd: 9 Sp Att: 7 Sp Def: 9 Moves: Ember, Hex Exp: 40/200 Bio: This pokemon was the Vulpix of her dreams. Nakano had meet him on her first run through the island, but knocked him out not once but twice. Making it impossible to capture him ...though she vowed to come back to get him. A final fight at the edge of the desert would make this possible as the girl finally got the fox.

The shadows were forced away as she, a creature of the night as well, took her rightful place, and smashed through the resistance, the ray was ignored, she didn't even look at their eyes, at their faces.
No, she caught herself and her fangs found purchase, she had caught the tombstone!
[17+13] - [14+17] = -1, NO DAMAGE
But whilst the Spiritomb did not yet feel the results of the fight, she was still successful in getting the tombstone... and the effects of that alone would be interesting.
But now as well, Lindbergh cackled as those teeth glistened, and she lunged again at the tombstone, Ice Fang now being driven into the same spot she had attacked, looking to exploit that weakness to tear the stone apart from within, to freeze it and shatter it!

The switch matters very little to her ....as she see the fox and think fresh meat. THe Skarmory was toughly plated by this fox didn't have that ..sort of protection as she would ...come forward again ..the move once more ..Steel wing. As the metal would curl around her wing ..she was going to test his metal with one very hard move as she aims for his head as he is turned around seemingly complaining to his trainer.
Foolish one never took their eyes of a one's opponent.
