Rikku, following close behind Yuffie, skidded on her boots to a dead stop, her eyes lighting up. She had spotted another familiar face all in black, as per usual! Yuffie waved her hands franticly, her voice rising to an irritating level.

"PAIIIIIIINE! You are here too! Lookit that.. YuRiPa together again!"

Rikku grinned widely, racing over to where Paine was walking, she bounced around in effortless circles around her old friend, keeping just out of reach. Who knew the kind of mood she'd be in.

"You are here, and so is Yunie. .and me! Who'd a thunk? It'll be like old times! Hey.. hey!.. How'd you get here? 'Cos I have no idea how I got here.. really it's been.."

Rikku halted in mid sentence and looked around at the varied group nearby. Tilting her head to the side, she gave a curious look to everyone and then a cocky sort of grin.

"Okay so who the heck are these weirdos?"

Afixing his gleaming stare on the man, his upper shoulders shrugged, and again his tentacles thrashed before coiling on the ground around him. "What can I say? I'm here because I'm rather bored, and she is associated with the successor of my former master. I would be able to hold my own in battle, whatever foe it is, so long as it is even remotely mortal, by any definition of the word. If not, then it would be best for us to gain contact with my master's successor. He would be of great aid in defending the princess of this world."

Rikku grinned widely, and stuck her tongue out in Paine's direction. She pulled down one eyelid and then scampered far from Paine's reach, hiding behind Yuna. The little blond then stood on her tiptoes, peeking out from behind her cousin's back.

"Oh don't be such a PAIN, Paine."

Then, her attention span being no more than that of a gnat, Rikku made her way over to the others, looking them over curiously.

Let's see.. a pirate.. a monster cat.. a princess.. and.."

Rikku looked over at Yuna and Yuffie, a puzzled expression dancing over her pretty features. Then with a sheepish grin she shrugged slender shoulders.

"So is it like... Halloween or something?"

At Yuna's corny corny sentence she twitched slightly. She walked over to her calmly and slapped her lightly over the head. Then whacked Rikku, only harder over the head.

"I can see you two never changed since we were last together..." she spoke calmly. But began to walk away. "I don't want to bother with these weirdo strangers. Have fun you two..."

"Hey!!" Yes, she was in one of her bad moods today. She was just about to say something, when she wacked Rikku in the head. Though by the looks of it, it seemed to be slightly harder hit. "Paine! That's mean! Why are you so Meeeeaaan?!" If she thought those people were bad, oh, she was in for a treat with herself, and Rikku.

Staring at her while she attempted to cover for her earlier statement, his tentacles continued to thrash about in the air over his body. When she finished speaking, he snorted quite audibly, nostrils flaring, and he turned his head away, staring lazily off into the distance. "Yes, it undoubtedly would."

"Well.. sorry.. I didn't mean it that way."

Rikku just blinked, her green eyes wide. She did a little toe hop, crossing her arms behind her back as she moved a little closer to the Panther-looking creature as Aerith did the same. However he seemed to be rather indifferent to her.

"Ohhhkay then. Everyone around here is so weird.."

Rikku kicked the ground with her heel, crossing her arms over her chest and folded her arms across her chest, sitting down in the middle of the ground to pout.

Only slightly glancing to Aerith, he gave a smaller snort. "Yes, I'm sure you would." Looking away, he tried to ignore her petting, laying his ears flat against the top of her head. He knew full-well his weaknesses, and would rather not allow himself to be humiliated out in the open in such a manner.
