Each generation has their good and their bad pokemon. Some from each gen suck major a** and some of them are super cool. Why all the hate?

Anyone else getting spammed by the notice system?
It suddenly realized I have a wish list and keeps giving me marketplace item pricing updates. I got 9 at once the other day but it seems to be doing just one a day now.

No spammage here. Though I have to admit that I hate getting a notice of the pricing of the Mini Angel Wings. Thanks Gaia, I know they're 93425324534523 million gold. It's called a wishlist for a reason!

I entirely agree with the sentiment that each generation has good and bad designs. The Pokemon I consider to be my favorites are scattered across all of the games, and some of the newer generations have spawned some truly fantastic Pokemon, in my opinion. There are some older Pokemon that I still think have bland, unimpressive designs, and the same can be said about the newer gens.
That being said, mechanically, the games have only gotten better. One may dislike the designs of the Pokemon/characters/regions, etc, but each generation has introduced new features that have helped form the series into a much more balanced and enjoyable experience than the originals. Abilities, natures, the physical/special split, the reusable TMs, all of these and more show a clear progression towards improving the formula of Pokemon as a whole. I have played every single main series game, and I can say without a doubt that 5th gen is the best game from a mechanical standpoint, and a design point, in my opinion.
I feel overall fans of Pokemon are at times ruthlessly critical (and this doesn't really pertain to anyone in here), especially before the game is even announced.
SO HOW ABOUT THIS CRAZY WEATHER RIGHT?

I have to agree Mike. All the mechanics changes have been great. I have some complaints about the game design/narrative design, but it wasn't bad. And we need more rotation battles. I'd like an entire game based around them.
Also this is from like 30 pages ago, but. Dude TYRANITARSSSS. And Sasha. Now's as good a time to catch up as any. Colds stink. Especially getting two in a row. So while I sit around doing nothing I realized I could be reading.

Oh yeah, I'm not saying the games are perfect. A lot of the protagonist designs and overall plots tick me off, but that's not as important to me as the Pokemon themselves. And oh? Sasha has done something to catch your eye? :3c

Stating the obvious, but clearly there is something to this whole Pokemon thing that keeps us all coming back for more. And we're all here as a group, writing and reading about the thing we love on a daily basis as we steadily head toward our 8th anniversary. 8th. I'm pretty sure that sums it up nicely. :3 Colds do stink. Feel better soon Mag! Or don't... so you can use the time for reading. Also you have no idea how excited I was for that Tyranitar. NO IDEA! =D

Reading everyone's posts definitely helps keep my spirits up. It's crazy to think that I'm reading stuff from months ago, though. It doesn't seem like it's been that long since I last got caught up.
