Batsu had failed to mold the chakra this time. In fact, he failed to expel any chakra to mold. Which kinda surprise d him since he did so well previosly. He kinda shrugged it off until he realized something. He had concentrated more on the previous attempt in comparison to the last! Maybe that was the key to it all.
Batsu couldn't wait to test his hypothesis. However, his body wasn't really up to it. The botched chakra mold attempt took a bit out of him and he HAD to rest a bit longer to recouperate.

Batsu was now ready to try out his own test... mentally. Physically, Batsu still had some waiting to do. However, that didn't stop him from clearing his mind a preparing in his mind. He let his body continue to rest, but his brain was ready to go again.

With his mind focus, body restored, and spirit willing, Batsu was ready to give the skill another go. Batsu channeled his energy throughout his body and gave the chakra another go... ,only this time, with more focus.

Batsu focused, and focused, and... fell on his back on the ground. The boy had botched the attempt so much that he was hit with a sudden jolt of strange energy... and not in a good way.
Slightly enraged, extremely confused, and now gasping for precious air, Batsu stared at the clouds above. He wanted to speak so bad, but he was so exhausted and winded that he couldn't talk. Good thing he was still able to think.
"What the hell?! I focused all my energy towards the chakra molding and it hurts me? How ironic... So concentration has nothing to do with anything apparently. Had I have known this sooner, I wouldn't be on my back and looking like a fish out of water. Damn."

The boy struggled to get up. He had somewhat regained his composure, but was hurting and had started to become physically tired. The mental strain was doing a number on him to and he just sat idle for a moment as he prayed that he'd finish soon. This was more than he could bear..

Still determined, Batsu strtched his arm out and gave his hand a blank stare. He didn't care what shape he made with his chakra, he just wanted it to actuallly form and not do what just happened again.

Batsu did in fact form chakra, but not enough for him to consider it a success. The technique was REALLY starting to take on the boy's body and he wwas getting weaker and weaker by the second. The only thing that he could say that he had was a willing spirit, and even that was on its way to being crushed.
Batsu just sat there almost lifeless. His right eye was shut and the left was half-lidded. He had dirt all on his body and clothes and he was breathing hard. Batsu looked as though he was knocking on deaths door.

Batsu stared at his hand and started cussing at it verbally.
"Work..." He gasped for air. "... dammit." WORK DAMN YOU!" He started gasping for air again. Clearly, the boy had lost his mind, but wanted so desperately to make it through the pain and fatigue just to say that he made it and endured.

The boy screamed and scowled at his hand. By now he was angry at himself for being so weak and not finishing this all sooner. As he screamed, he attempted to form and shape chakra.

The enraged shriek quickly turned into a pain-filled one as he screwed the attempt again causing needle-like stings to shoot up his arm. The pain caused Batsu to grab thaat arm with his free arm and double over in pain. He wanted to cry from it and the mightier sting of faillure, but he refused to let others see him cry. He had read that behavior could altar one's view and he was not about to appear weak in front of a bunch of strangers. So Batsu clinched his teeth together and groaned in pain.

By now Batsu was disoriented and had lost track of everything. The boy was just so focus on succeding that he wanted to complete the task. The boy was nowhere near revitalized but recklessly gave chakra molding shot.

wahmbulance Fainted wahmbulance
Batsu was so determined to pass the exercise. However, his failed attempt proved too much for the 11-year-old to handle. Batsu continued on driven by willpower alone, but the willpower turned into recklessness as his attempt caused the strange negative energy to course through his body again. He went to scream, but the sound was not coming out. In fact, the boy just stared at the sky as he eyes rolled upward then to the back of his head.
His eyes then closed shut as his body went limp and drifted backwards onto the ground. The boy who was full of inner strength and drive made one wrong move and it was one bad move too many.
Batsu... had fainted.

Batsu slowly began to regain conciousness. He slowly opened his glazed-over eyes. The boy was extremely disoriented and he looked somewhat drunk. He was feeling that way since his head was pounding and as he sat up he had a bit of a dizzy speel. In fact, he slumped over a bit before sitting erect.
The boy was still in a bit of pain from the over-exertion of energy for the chakra molding. It totally made him feel awful, but he REALLY wanted to make it through. Batsu realized that he was still really so, for now, he just saton the ground waiting.

Akemi returned to try and learn yet another jutsu that would assist in leading him towards getting to gennin rank. He could only dream and fantasize about the plethora of rewards that awaited him there. First of he would get his headband, then secondly he would get his Samehada, and even better still he would finally be able to go on missions. He smiled at the thought. First things first though and that was learning jutsu. Today would be a landmark in his ninja career. Today he would train for the Bunshin no Jutsu, the most basic of all ninja techniques, and a foundation for some of the best ones.
Akemi began to read from the scroll he had brought from the Hoshigaki clanhouse. "Begin by focusing your chakra into a shape similar to your own body." Akemi began to focus his energy, but was having trouble keeping such a large amount of chakra steady in one place. ------------------ Bunshin no Jutsu 0/10 D20+Chk Con (3) 5/6 CP

Akemi continued to struggle with keeping his chakra held in such a large area, and once he finally managed to he realized that he had no idea which handsigns to use. Akemi picked up the scroll again and scanned through it to find the symbols, he eventually found a picture. "Tiger, Boar, Ox, Dog." Now he was ready to try again, and hopefully succeed this time. ------------------ Bunshin no Jutsu 0/10 D20+Chk Con (3) 4/6 CP Tiger, Boar, Ox, Dog
