The girl took a few steps backwards as the creature exploded from the water and landed in front of her. What else was Nakano to do ...as he thought about her party and the fact that this was one of the few weakness her group had right now ...water. She tries to smile sweetly while she was thinking of the best plan for retreat as that head came at her and she almost pissed her pants.
It was a creature that could swallow her whole as he lay his head down and looked at her with .....adoring eyes?
She as confused as he spoke...she didn't understand, but he wasn't attacking even as she saw more of his thoughts and had to fight down the need to panic. What would such a creature want with her?
She had no clue, but she made a decision as she steps forward and touches his head lightly.
"You are quite gorgeous."
She declares as she touches only his snout ..ready to run if she showed any kind of dangerous behavior.
"Your scales glimmer like rubies ...and such a beautiful pokemon as yourself surely won't battle me." "It might mar such beautiful scales, so if you don't mind ...could I please pass?"
"Pretty please?"
She added after a moment of forethought.

The pokemon in question would snort lightly ....at her words, but he was cooing inside. She thought he was beautiful as well, and that was what mattered ..as his smile grew bigger. He would turn from her then as he withdrew his head and reaching behind him he would pluck one of those ruby scales from his own skin.
He knew he couldn't stop her from going forward, but he would leave her with a gift to take with her to the afterlife. For that is where all whom battle that pokemon ended up ... as he places the ruby scale in front of her.

[8+16] - [3+16] = 5 DMG
LINDBERGH = 16 HP REMAINING
Lindbergh felt the shadows grab her, and then, she was dragged down, crying out as she impacted the ground, her fangs returning to normal...
What would happen now?
Even if she attacked in counter and hit hard enough, she couldn't flinch him whilst it was trying to attack...
No, right now, she needed to concentrate on defense-
"Up in the air, Lindbergh!"
The cue came as Jasmine saw the positions in play, it was no good taking the low ground against the beast, and Lindbergh was of the same mind, her tail smacking the ground, and in one spring-bolted move, sent herself up into the air, wings unfolding and taking to the sky, up and away from where she would have been wide open!
But that was only half the battle, now she had to play the chasing game again, she needed to keep away from the ghost's next moves... He had a wide selection, and so far, he was using them well...

Her eyes were huge as the pokemon rounded about and touches his own skin. Pulling free a single scale he would give it back to her as it would seem that he no longer stood in her path ...she would take it and take her cue to get the hell out of there as she leaps across to the next expansion of land and continues onwards.
She needed to be much quicker than she was at this moment.
Something told her ...as she moved with the speed of a shinobi at that moment.

The Ghost pokemon smiled darkly ..he wasn't going to chase her. How was a creature as powerful as him going to install fear if he chased his opponent like some mere lackey. No, the air was a dangerous place for a creature that hated the cold to go ...as the wind would howl around the Gliscor as she went higher up. The air turning cold the moment that she commented to such a move ..it was foolish ...stupid to go upwards with a creature that could move in the fog, and bring the chill from the darkness. For there was nothing ...that it couldn't touch ....and the winds around Lindbergh did indeed grow colder as he used Icy Wind.
It was up to her to try and avoid it or risk being being brought back to earth by such an attack.

She was getting closer and closer to its heart as she moved onwards. The girl would literally grab one of the kunai on her chest and keeping one finger threaded through it's open ring loop she would continue her movements. She wasn't going to pull it free ...she simply held onto it ....she knew she would need it sooner rather than later.
Her movements continued to be swift as she continued forward.

Lindbergh grimaced as she flung herself downward.... she had to pick a stone and fast... she couldnt' avoid the winds forever... and now, she would be forced to fight from the ground it seemed... if she kept going at range like this, it was up there where the winds were best used.
She had to fight him on the ground, hold him to his shadows...
And then her eyes fixed on the first tombstone, the largest one, the one he had emerged from...
Her snaggle-toothed grin appeared again, and forward she flung herself, latching onto the stone, before suddenly she tore at it with her fangs, as she sought to send the icy energy through every crack and crevice.
She had no idea what this would do, but the Spiritomb didn't like it, and that was good enough for her!
Maybe... if he was linked to all of these...

Though speed wouldn't work so much against a pokemon that could fly as the messenger of bad tidings would fly beside her. Wings outstretched as she would stay aloof as the girl's side ..a look in her eyes that could be read as one thing only. They were going to battle whether she liked it or not ...as the girl would power in front of her and turn to face.
There was only one way around now, and it was through her ...as the bird's wings were spread wide. She held her ground in the air as she gave a look that seemed to be nothing but mockery.
This was a battle whether, Nakano wanted it or not.

The Spiritomb's winds would howl dangerously as the Gliscor avoided them and came back towards the ground. He was smiling darkly he knew her aim this time ...as he would send out his darkness to stop her. The stones themselves would seem to hum with power ...as the darkness would wrap itself around the one that the Gliscor was attacking.
There would be no rush to stop her this time ...he had time to think and plan. He didn't need to chase he only needed to defend those stone which was easy with so much darkness around ...afterall ..this was his home turf as the spirit of the Vullaby would appear in front of the tomb she was aiming for.
(no she would wail ....if you shatter it ...he will simply devour the soul to stop it from escaping. Then there will no chance for us))
She howled in the pokemon's face to stop her attack cold.
THe most dangerous defense of all ..guilt ...was brought from the darkness.

The girl pulled it lose as she would throw the kunai at the bird hoping to drive her away ...even as it would pop thud past the murkrow into the next landmass to have her partner appear. Suzaku's wings were spread wide as she appeared in a reddish light from the kunai that wasn't quite a kunai ....as the pokeball would bounce free of the land mass where the kunai would have embedded itself deeply if it was real.
It had been Nakano way of trying to avoid this fight if at all possible. Though if not ..well she did have her partner out and ready to fight ...even if her mistake might actually cause her pain.

And the Murkrow as completely taken off guard. She would have never in a thousand years had predicted such a move ...such an attack as she crows once in disbelief before winging away. She wasn't going to stand for a two on two match ..as she notices the glint of silver behind her ..the path was clear for the girl once more.

Suzaku would pick up the pokeball even as the girl pass her....with a few flaps of her wings she would toss it as Nakano caught in one hand and did the necessary jutsu with the other. With a poof it was a kunai once more as she slide it back into it's slot. They were so close now that she saw no reason to call her back into her pokeball.
The element of surprise was already on her side as she felt the Skarmory take off from the ground to follow. Nakano was fast but nothing compared to the wings of the bird ...too bad she couldn't fly them both right now.
Thus the two would continue onwards.

Lindbergh fell screeching to a stop...
She looked at the swirling blackness, pulling herself up from it, and there, seeing the Vullaby... her words... were they her own?
Or those of the Spiritomb?
She looked back at the spirit, focusing eyes upon it.
Jasmine couldn't comment... she looked on and the bird's words weren't english, she didn't know what was being said, but she stood there, and she saw Lindbergh's eyes meet her own.
She was asking her what to do, she was conflicted.
And Jasmine had to make a decision.
"Do it!"
She swallowed deep and nodded, looking back to the rock... she knew she was going to be forced to fight the shadows at this rate... but... she counter-attacked, flinging herself back at the tombstone with her Ice Fangs bared!
[If he goes to devour it... then I just have to knock him back until the spirit gets free!!]
She had to fly with conviction here, it was an all or nothing strike, leaving herself vulnerable, but if this worked-

The fin of a shark in the water would churn before her. It was the threat of the danger that was up ahead .....as more terrifying images were in front of her. Something was about to happen, but what it was ...was hard to decipher so far as the Carvanha made no move to stop the girl either.
It was best suited for the water, and besides it's master fed it well from the corpse of those souls he devour. Surely she would make a better meal ....then ..then now when she could still fight. Thus those two would be allowed onwards.

The Vullaby vanished with those words of conviction. Though how true would they be as she counter-attacked and even in the darkness ...those arms would come forward again ...threatening to force the Gliscor into the ground....as they reaches out for her.
Shadow sneak .......or at least that is what it first appears as the arms resist grabbing her. Coming forwards ...coming around to face her ..as eyes each arm had an eye on it. Imploring, begging for her to stop ...as one set of eyes especially looked back at her, but there was no begging there ...no these eyes went to her soul as they looked to twist it ..turn it ..confuse it.
The Spiritomb was once more using Confuse ray.
