"Hm? Well, I'm still a student," Lamen said, smiling as she pulled herself away from her childhood memories. She had been born into having nightmares, so they were pretty much the norm to her, and didn't bother her at all. Now, they were only occasional, and sometimes she'd have good dreams- which she really enjoyed, of course. She didn't miss the nightmares in particular, but she missed the company they brought with them. When she was just a kid, she would sleep with the instinctive knowledge that something was with her every night. Somehow it had made her feel safe- as if she had a brother. It never was quite the same after the ghost pokemon left. A sense of loss had filled her ever since, as if her only sibling had moved to some place far, far away.
Maybe that's why she wished for a ghost pokemon so badly... But everyone knows you can't bring back the past.
"I used to work at a northern lab during vacations." She answered Alastair's question, still walking. "The scientists here are oddly unfriendly, but it was quite different where I come from." She grinned, amused by the trailer-scientist's attitudes. "But because of that, I was a little late in applying to the university I wanted, and as a result ended up with a one-and-a-half year vacation. I decided to use this time to travel the world and gain experiences with pokemon- maybe find myself a few companions before heading back and becoming too busy for all of this fun."
And speaking of fun, a thin mist began to envelop the trainers... for now, it was barely noticeable.

"Good girl." Zen grunted, returning the hug with an equal amount of force.
"Yes, yes. And you can decide what we have, m'kay?" He ruffled her hair with a grin, and stared at the radio.
"Are we...running low on food or something?" He asked, completely unaware to the situation at hand.

Effie tried to fallow along the rather…vague story? Maybe it was strangely worded? Maybe she was being slow…nah strike that, it was because she was being slow. Maybe if she spent half as much time listening to the story Alastiar offered rather then the creepy silence that surrounded them she would have understood it better. So when he finished, it was understandable Effie had nothing to contribute, other then a fake knowing nod. The flickering light of the ever moving pokemon did set the girl’s nerves on edge. Just because the sometimes pitch blackness would soon after be illuminated, giving her brief after images of the surrounding brush. "What do you two do, out in the world?" He asked again, still curious. "Don't make me get out my poking stick. I will find a poking stick and use it on the both of you." “No body wants your poking stick~.” Effie grumbled, she wasn’t exactly sure if this was the right time to be talking about her real life. (Please bear with me. I haven’t thought out those sort of details yet~ Let her pass please. X3;; ) The fact of the matter was she was on an adventure! And if they were gonna see a monster, she didn’t want to worry about thinking about real life just before she kicks the bucket. “Shh…did you guys hear something?” She wasn’t trying to pull the attention away from her, just that…she really DID hear something. Might have been nothing.
Listening to Lamen's answer Effie gave all of her attention to the other, hopefully only hearing her voice will help sooth the panic attack that was beginning to form. "Well I'm sure you will get yourself a companion Lamen!" Effie stated passionately, her eyes twinkling in the darkness. "And your sure right about these scientist...yick." . ....bUt everyone has A .::passion::. , she might find herZ.

"Yeah, we got attacked last time we went through here and we probably will get attacked again so we need to be prepared~Has Ferrum evolved by the way?" Luna asked, a bit curious as to how the cranidos was doing. She was always interested in seeing her opponents improve...and maybe they could have a rematch in the future!
"And yes, we kinda are. We have enough for a few more days, but since we do need to stay a while in the mines, back-up food is definately necessary." The trainer said to Zen while getting her hair messed up. Not that it wasn't messy already. Luna constantly had hat hair from wearing her hat all day and her hat constantly falling off due to the crazyness of the events.

Oh, so Lamen was a scientist? That actually could explain why the scientists around here were so surly. They were obviously jealous of her! Some sort of weird… sciencey… vendetta or some such. Or maybe! Maybe the head scientist was actually the lover of Lamen’s mentor and jealous of how the student had surpassed the master! Things like this danced in Alastair’s head as he played around with these ideas, apparently very amused. Hey, at least he wasn’t channeling horror movies any more. Now it was just really corny story lines.
“These scientists sure are… ornery, to say the least,” Alastair agreed easily enough with a nod. “Always telling us, ‘Oi! Go do this and that and the other thing! And turn this thing for me! My impossibly bony arms can’t possibly do this correctly! Oh dear! My pallid skin, which has been stained by the phosphorescent glow of a computer screen can’t possibly stand the sunlight so I must stay in my trailer all day!’ Why do they do that, you think? They only come out during the morning… we barely even see them at night.” And most of the trainers already disliked the scientists. It took special skill to be hated when people barely knew you.
“…Hear something?” Alastair tilted his head to one side, trying to hear something before smirking. “Oh no, Effie! I’m not falling for that one! I am not about to be fooled by your feminine wiles!” Like a self-righteous angel, he waggled his finger under her nose.

Lamen chuckled knowingly. Not everyone was comfortable with science, because it was all about changing things. And change scared a lot of people- just like the unknown. But these things made up a big part of Lamen's heart, and she embraced them like part of herself, which they were.
The mist thickened, and Lamen's plan was about to come into action. "They're coming." She said quietly, and then walking a little apart from Effie (she would make a better lure than Alastair,) Lamen whispered into his ear: "We stay out of sight, but follow her voice. Don't let Effie notice."
With that, she slinked behind a bush, waiting for Effie to get further away before following her deeper into the forest.

Riza suddenly wondered where Arashi had gotten off to. She hadn't seen him since this morning and was wondering if he had even made the caravan. What if he was stuck in the last town?!
Oh no, I should go look for him! she thought in a panic, and went wandering to find him.

"And I never get told these things why, again? Yeesh, I am the unofficial chef, after all!" He shouted loudly, jabbing his chest with his thumb.
"But since we'll be getting more food, I suppose it'll be okay. Just tell me next time, okay Luna?"

Chromatically Metallic "Ah! No no, I was only kidding! I wouldn't actually like to shave you!" she said quickly, apologizing to the Mareep that has quickly jumped away, "Your fluff is too pretty and soft to shave off!"
Riza coughed, "Oh dear....um...someone he's had his eye on? Like...a rival?" She took a swing at guessing. Kai's Absol didn't really look like a skirt-chaser at any rate, so what else could it be?
"Me? No, I don't have any Pokemon yet. I was hoping to try and catch one on this trip," she smiled, "What better way to catch a Pokemon? This way I'll get to see a lot more types than if I had just stayed home and walked."
Abyss tilted her nose to the sky. Hmph, well, at least she has good taste in pokémon. She moved a bit closer to Riza, warily eyeing her to make sure she wasn't holding a pair of shears.
Kai gave a loud laugh, "HA! No, not that kind of special someone; I believe he found a pretty girly to keep his mind on." She winked at Riza, ignoring the glare the old absol shot at him.
Isamu had had enough of his trainer picking on him. Giving a loud snort he left her side, determined to find the origin of that familiar scent.
"Oh, a newbie, huh? Well, yes, that's true, you're more likely to find more than one species out here in such events." She looked at the wagons once more, "Though I'm sure there's another reason behind our trip, just like the last one.."((EDIT: WOW...^^; Yeah, sorry about giving an extremely late reply..))

Jenette groaned as she realized some how she had fallen asleep. Realizing everyone was making camp she decided she may as well help out since she had been so useless the rest of the day. "Hey guys..." She waved lazily as her little vulpix, Venna, followed behind her. "Erm.... is there anything I can help out with?" She asked, not really knowing what was left to do.

Piney laughed at Jen's silliness, and apparently the other officer heard her too because he laughed with her.
"I can try, but I can't guarantee anything. This isn't a fast food restaurant or anything." He said. "Anyway, the helicopter should be there in an half-hour, provided that there is no interference."
"That's fine. Thanks for everyone!" She chirped into the radio. She was about to turn it off and let Ace have some rest, but then a thought struck her.
"Hey, about those two trainers that ran away without paying anything, do you have a clearer description so we could keep an eye out for them?"
"Of course. Just a moment..." There was some rustling and hesitation before the person spoke again.
"Ok, the two trainers were girls, around the age of 16, and has an average build and height. One of them has black hair, and the other has dark brown. We also now know that the Pokemon used to destroy the room was a Raichu and Vaporeon. They might have more though. And whoever they are, they're long gone from Katarina. Otherwise, we would've caught them already."
"Awesome. Thanks again!" Piney turned it off and clipped it back onto her belt. She then glanced at the other people standing around and smiled.
"You heard that?" She asked, her eyes sliding up to look at Jen's hair. Dark brown. Luna's hair. Black. They have a Raichu or Vaporeon too, and they fit the descriptions otherwise.
"Um... you wouldn't be..." Her hands make strange motions, but she couldn't find the words to accuse them of anything.

Kayla sat down a few feet from Meeka, who was currently distracted with something. Kayla didn't know what was distracting her but they both became quiet. Hea and Ebba was keeping each other company.
Making up her mind, Kayla stood up and called for Adira, who arrived licking her chops as if just finishing a tasty dinner. "Dos?" Basically asking, 'Yes?'.
Could you help me get some firewood and go to wagon two and get something food?" Adira tilted her head slightly in confusion. Kayla shook her head, slightly before sighing. "Well get what you can. At least the wood, please." Nodding, Adira went off, trusting Hea to protect her trainer. That was a big step for Adira but if Hea screw up, then Adira will never trust her again.
With that done, Kayla started setting up her little sleeping bag and start finding rocks that were around her to use to contain her fire she plans to build. This was going to a take a while. Until Adira comes back with the wood, they couldn't start a fire.

Jackie smiled. "Yup. Ferrum evolved a few weeks ago. She's a big, awesome Rampardos now! Want to see?" She held out her pokeball a few feet away and Ferrum popped out.
"Raaaampar?" Ferrum sniffed the air appreciatively, not even glancing at the new trainers. She wandered off into the brush, scenting the air. The spikes on her body gouged marks in the surrounding trees.
"Oh, dear." Jackie looked apologetically at the the group. "I think she's scented some Pinap berries... there's no stopping her now. But I'll catch up with you guys later, mmkay!" She gave a smart salute before running after the Rampardos, following the trail of destruction.
(('Night!

“I swear they are vampires.” Effie contributed to the list of complaints Alastair spouted.
“Pfftth.” Rolling her eyes Effie shook her head; and ofcoruse like any horror flick when someone says something about hearing a noise, people have to be skeptical and merely wave it off as willies. Opening her mouth to protest, the girl held up her own finger, about ready for debate when the mist began to get thicker. For a moment Effie thought she’d slowed down…because for some reason she couldn’t seem to feel Lamen like she could before. And then she realized…both of them had gone silent. “You guys here something?” She whispered, straining her ears to whatever the others might be listening for. She stood still for awhile in doing this, thinking the other two had done the same, she couldn’t hear them moving anymore. “Hey Lamen…why’d we stop? Lamen is a ghost type close? Lamen….Lamean?” Effie held out an arm in the darkness, groping around for the girl that was once infront of her. “H-Hey~!” Effie’s eyes where now wide, trying desperately to see threw the blackness, to see anything. “Where’d you guys go!?” Even though she was in a panic Effie kept talking in a whisper…as if forgetting how to yell. She slowly felt around the surrounding area in circles, not only looking for Lamen but for Alastair aswell. He went missing too!? “Where’d you guys goooo?” By now the girl was walking in the same area, just circles, that when she finally gave up and stood silent, she was pointing in the direction away from camp. Maybe she was straining her ears too much…her mind playing tricks. But Effie felt..er…heard something. It was a small something, but something none the less. And without warning the girl broke out in a run. Barreling in the other direction Effie allowed herself to be slapped by the tree branches and shrubs as she dashed threw. “Graaaaaaaahhhhh~!!!” Yeah, now she found her vocal cords…and put them to good use. ....bUt everyone has A .::passion::. , she might find herZ.

Woah, wait?! Abandon someone in the middle of a supposedly haunted forest?! Alastair wasn’t quite sure he liked that plan… Effie already mentioned she was terrified about this, and she was doing it all for Lamen (and how adorable was that?). And more than that, how were they supposed to follow her without her noticing? Were they supposed to adroitly slip away into the fog? Alastair was many things, but graceful wasn’t one of them. Or maybe he was supposed to notice something… ah well. Might as well go with the plan, because it was better than any of the non-plans he had, most of which involved flailing around and yelling, ‘OoooOoo! Here ghosts! Right here! Here, ghostie, ghostie, ghostie!’
“…Alright, maybe I did hear something… you stay here, Effie. I’ll go check it out. I’ll take Lum with me, just in case I encounter whatever you think might’ve made the noise.” Alright, it wasn’t exactly an adroit escape, but it did allow him to slink away. Discretely. With Lum.
Which left poor Effie all alone and Alastair with vague feelings of guilt. Still, he stayed nearby Lamen because no one wanted to be alone in this place. Lum just danced around, apparently oblivious to everything in general. When Effie started screaming, Alastair had to resist every heroic bone in his body. Luckily, there weren’t very many of those.
“This plan of yours better work, Lamen. I don’t want to go through all the trouble of scarring someone emotionally for life if there’s no result,” he whispered to Lamen, waiting for any sign of the ghost. If there was a ghost. The deep fog was a hint, but that sort of stuff practically lived here. This was like the breeding ground for fog.
