Ananda's eyes were wide. "Very cool," she said with a smile. She folded her hands in her lap, resisting a strong urge to reach out and touch his wings, and she was glad when he gave her something to distract her. "It's not really all that exciting, but...well, alright." After all, it's not like it's going to do any harm, not anymore. She stood up, pushing her chair back so she had room to stand a few inches away from the table. Closing her eyes, she disappeared from where she had been standing. After a second, she reappeared by the food machines. Since she was there, she ordered herself a cup of coffee, then teleported back to the table and sat down again. "Like I said, not very exciting. Useful sometimes, though."

Alexander smiled and scrached the back of his head. "It's not that bad", he said kindly. He straighted up a bit and put on the most serious face he could and leaned foward. "Hey... I'll trade you powers...", he tryed to hold in a grin but let it slip and smiled. He leaned back onto the two legs of his chair and smiled. He may not be good at jokes but he liked `em and that's all that mattered. "So, can you telepot other people?", he asked trying to change what she was thinking about, which, he thought, was his stupid joke. He was now rocking on the two legs of the chair.

Ananda rolled her eyes at his joke. Geez. If only he had been serious...I'd've taken him up on that offer in a heartbeat. Ah, well. I'm stuck with it, I guess. Now, stop that. It is useful, anyways, when I'm fighting. I have to remember that, or I'll get myself in serious trouble. She gave herself a mental shake to bring herself back the conversation from her thoughts, and for a moment she didn't realize he had said anything to her. Then, she noticed that he was waiting for an answer. "Hmm? Sorry, head in the clouds. Yeah. I can teleport other people, but I have to be touching them. At least, I've never tried it any other way." She sighed softly. "One of these days, I'm going to have to experiment with it, I guess."

Alexander smiled at her reply and the fact that he wasn't the only one who has spaced-out before. "That's cool. You could find someone with a weird power and take them", he said and grinned. He was still rocking back and fowards in the chair and racking his brains to find something to say. He hated weird silences between two people even though he should be used to it by now.

"I guess," Ananda said with a shrug. She took a few sips of her quickly cooling coffee, to give herself time to think of something new to talk about. After a moment, she set the mug down on the table, although she left her hands wrapped around it to warm them up. "Um...you said before that you were new here, right? How do you like the school so far? Or haven't you had enough time to see much of it?" And if it's the second one, maybe I'll offer him a tour. I haven't got anything better to do right now, anyways. Except...well, there's no way Rille's awake yet, so I can wait to check on her. She took another sip of her coffee as she waited for his answer.

Alexander looked up for a moment then back at Ananda. He set his hands on the table and smiled at her. He took in a breath. "No, I haven't really seen anything. It's a big school. I've only been in the Music place. It was nice in there", he said quietly before covering his mouth and coughing into his hands. He cleared his throught quietly and murmermered, "Sorry `bout that". He took in another breath and scratched his head.

Ananda gave him a concerned look. "You're not sick, are you?" She immediately looked away, embarassed. Well, I hope he isn't. I really don't need to go visit someone else in the hospital. I spend enough time there as it is. She quickly added "Never mind. Anyways, d'you want a tour? I've been around to most of the interesting places, but there're still a few I'd like to check out."

Alexander smiled at her. He usualy got a cough during winter and fall. He looked at her then stood up. "No, no, I'm not sick. But sure, I wouldn't mind a tour of the school", he said and streched his legs then arms. He yawned while expanding his wings then set them back agest his back.

Ananda nodded. "Good," she said softly, smiling faintly. She wasn't really sure which of his statements she was replying to, but decided after a moment that it was really both. She stood as well, draining the last of the coffee from her mug. She went to get rid of her mug, then returned to the table, leaning casually against the chair she had been sitting in. "Well then, is there anywhere you want to go?" She gave him a curious look, tiliting her head slightly to one side as she spoke.

Alexander thought for a moment. I don't really know anywhere to go, like when I was traveling, he thought, looking at the ceiling. He dropped his gaze to Ananda and smiled. He stood up staright and brought up his hands, palms up. "I have no idea", he said then scratched the back of his head.

Ananda shook her head. "Well, I don't want to make up your mind for you," she said thoughtfully. She bit her lip, thinking. Oh, wait! What did I do with... She smiled suddenly. I knew being a pack rat would come in handy some day. Now, where are you? Rummaging in her pocket, she eventually produced a crumpled piece of paper. She smoothed out the wrinkles on the edge of the table, revealing it to be the map of the school she had borrowed from Rille when she got there. She handed it solemnly to Alexander. "There. Would this help?"

Alexander walked over to her and took the map. He scanned over the crumpled paper. So, were in 'L', he thought as he put a finger on the paper. He scanned over it quietly, memorizing aevery detail. He handed it back to Ananda, smiling. "Let's go to the Asura Labs fist", he said kindly to her.

Ananda shrugged. "Alright, sounds like fun," she said with a grin. "I haven't been there yet, either." She took the map, and stuffed it back into her pocket, so that it ended up just as crumpled as it had been before. She pushed herself away from the chair she had been leaning on, and stretched a little, then started to head for the door. The thought of teleporting the both of them didn't even cross her mind, since she still wasn't entirely used to it.

Alexander fallowed Ananda towards the door quietly. He had made a new friend on his first day. He was happy. A thought came up in his mind: Mabey I could fly her there.... No, no. Don't be stupid, he thought after shaking his head to help get the thought from his mind. He fallowed quietly until they got to the door.
